The NYC Biryani Takeout & Delivery Guide - New York - The Infatuation

"NYC has plenty of places dedicated to bikes or hats or plants, but Biryani Kitchen might be the only spot in the city dedicated to biryani. This Indian place in Greenwich Village that serves five different kinds with protein options like fried prawns or lemon chicken. And if you feel warm on the inside when your takeout looks like an expertly-wrapped gift, you’ll appreciate their large, high quality, gold-trim to-go containers. They look like something you’d receive in a goodie bag at a baby shower, and the content inside will make even the dullest Wednesday night feel special." - nikko duren

Where To Get Indian Delivery & Takeout In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"Biryani Kitchen is the only Indian restaurant in the city dedicated solely to biryani. That fact alone makes it worth ordering biryani with fried prawns or lemon chicken. Another reason to consider this Greenwich Village option is that their takeout comes in large, high quality, gold-trim to-go containers. Each one looks like something you’d receive in a goodie bag at a baby shower, and the content inside will make even the dullest Wednesday night feel special. Order directly through their website here." - hannah albertine

WOW, I wasn't expecting much for Indian food in Warsaw, (middle of Indiana), but Wow I was mistaken. Talk about authentic Indian food! Great menu & variety of dishes. Great blend of Masala spices & levels of heat. We split the Sag Paneer, Pepper chicken-fried appetizer, Bullit Naan, & Coconut Naan. With Chai tea. DEEELICIUS! YUM We'll be back when we are in town! Nice, bright decor, cozy place. Busy as you'd expect a 5 star place to be. Loved it.

Google
Wonderful little Indian restaurant. The curries were so flavorful and rich. The portions were big too. The samosas were light and flakey. 😋 🍛❤️

Google
We go here 6-8 times a year and drive over an hour for the food. Every time we go, the service is amazing. The food is fantastic- flavorful, spicy, and the meat is perfectly tender.

Google
The staff is always friendly, the food is always delicious, and quality is consistent. There are different protein options as well as vegetarian options and you can vary spice level to your preference. If you've been on the fence about trying something new, 10/10 recommend and don't be afraid to talk to the staff about the menu. And the food looks just as good as the pictures you see online.

This place is so good! And the staff is wonderful. The waiter sat there and answered every single question we had about Indian food. Some of my friends had never had it and asked several questions! He was very friendly and kind.

Google
The best Indian food in Warsaw. In the former Three Crowns location downtown Biryani Kitchen has the cozy setting ready to go. Friendly and authentic which is what supporting local restaurants is all about. The food is the owners passion and it comes through in the dishes. The menu has no pictures so be ready to ask questions if needed. UPDATE: They do have pics now for many dishes but still ask if curious. They are so helpful in explaining flavor, ingredients, spice level & more! Spice levels can be selected but feel free to ask the staff their opinion. Love Chicken 65 for spice and flavor in a perfect blend. I get this and pair it with my wife getting the chicken tikka masala. We then dip garlic naan in the sauce! (Get the butter chicken if you don’t like a lot of spice... then work your way around the menu) They are happy to explain but here’s a tip... it’s all great!

What a great find in Warsaw! Our family really enjoyed our meal- outstanding Korma and Butter Chicken! Staff was so friendly. Downtown is super charming and safe.

Here for a college visit and came here for dinner. So delicious! We eat a lot of Indian food all over the country and this place is definitely on top! Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was extremely tasty!! Great service and our server explained the menu wonderfully. They offer specials as well that scroll across the tv in the dining area which is nice when you're unfamiliar with the cuisine. The Naan was wonderful and our meals were flavorful. The ambiance was quant and clean. The service was fast and friendly. We will certainly be back again!

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten from Biryani Kitchen twice so far. We moved here from Denver a year ago and had been looking for a real good Indian food spot. Biryani Kitchen filled that need. The ambiance is great, and the staff are very friendly. Everything we have eaten here has been on point. The samosas are fantastic, and the main dishes are delicious. We are happy to make the 30 minute drive to eat here again and again

Yelp
With how much we eat here, I'm sure we have paid Biryani's rent a few times. This is the best restaurant in at least a 30 mile radius. I had Biryani for lunch and I am writing this review because I'm trying to be strong and not order it for dinner. I want to get a job here just so someone in the back can teach me how to make the food I keep spending all my money on. It's really great and they are also very nice. :)

Yelp
went here for dinner on valentine's day! we loved the chicken tikka masala, so tastyyy

Yelp
I came here for the first time and was impressed by the flavors. It's not the best Indian food I've had but pretty good. We got the chicken tikka masala (3/5, flavor not rich enough), saag paneer (5/5, creamy and flavorful, not like other saag paneers I've had), goat korma (4/5, flavor was great but too many bones), boneless chicken biryani (3/5, chicken and rice had different spice levels, raita sauce was like watery yogurt), and naan. Overall the service was good and the ambience was quiet and homey. I look forward to coming back and trying other items on their menu!

Yelp
We love Biryani Kitchen. Great blend of spices, nice selection. Diners can choose level of heat in their favorite dish.

Yelp
Stopped by and had the shrimp special fry and the chicken chattenadu. Very good and I will be back for more. If you haven't ate here before you need to try it.

Yelp
This is the best Indian food in northeast Indiana. It's an hour away from us and well worth the drive.

Kate R.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Warsaw! Food is so good! Service is good! They have seating inside or you can sit outside.

Yelp
Fresh, delightful, spicy if desired, Mango Lassi drink is a must-try. Very much worth the price.

Yelp
A friend and I went to Biryani Kitchen for a late dinner last week. Service was excellent and the server patiently took time to explain the different types of dishes they make. The food was spectacular and very plentiful!! I had enough to eat that night and enough leftovers for lunch the next day. This was my second satisfied visit there, and there will be more visits in the future! I recommend Biryani Kitchen!

Yelp
Great flavors, nice atmosphere. We always order the Paneer Biryani, but everything on the menu is good!

Yelp
Best place within 100 miles. Spicy delicious Indian food, naan great, curries great, even dog friendly we sat outside. Staff great too.

Yelp
We can't say enough about the food!!! We lived on this during quarantine! The tikka masala is beyond compare. As well as the garlic naan. We like spicy so I order it "spicy" and my husband orders "extra spicy." Our kids love it too and we like the tandoori chicken also. Let's support our local restaurant so we can keep them around a long time!!

Yelp
Amazing little local restaurant right in the heart of downtown Warsaw, it used to be a bit hard to find before but now that they've occupied the building above them that's street level it's even easier to walk to. The staff is very friendly and the service was quick, I only ordered one main dish and garlic naan bread but I was on my dying phone with 3% left while I was waiting and it didn't even die before my food was ready. The food was great, full of flavor, the portions were huge but I personally don't mind that especially since it was served in a dish with a top on it which made it easy to pack for lunch the following day. I also love how many vegetarian options there are, there were so many! The spicy food was also actually spicy. Most restaurants in the area are "Mexican" and say that their food is spicy when it actually isn't very much so. Here however when you ask for it spicy, it comes spicy, it was a pleasant surprise. Over all I was a little nervous trying it the first time but I'm glad I tried it, I would recommend this to everyone!

Yelp
Tried take out from this restaurant for lunch it reminded me that Indian cuisine done RIGHT is GOOD! They do it right. Check them out. It's the location of the old Oak and Alley, enter from building rear

Yelp
I got take-out for the first time from this restaurant today. I work nearby and always smell the wonderful smells that come out of here and just had to try Indian food for the first time, I was not disappointed! I got the shrimp curry (spicy) and it was absolutely delicious. There was enough for two meals. The shrimp were small and there wasn't a whole lot but that's what Indian food is about, they don't have much to use for proteins so it's all about the sauce, the rice, and the bread and they got those important elements right. The homemade naan is a MUST, perfect for sopping up that delicious sauce. It's nothing like the naan bread you buy in the grocery store, it is so awesome! I can't wait to try more of their dishes if this meal is any indication of how good everything else is!

Manjinder S.

Yelp
Had lunch there. Nice people and nice atmosphere. Food was ok types, not the best Indian I have had.

Yelp
The taste was really authentic. Green bean was my favorite. However, there was too many bones in the chicken. Shrimp was not fresh. Place was not very easy to find.

Denise R.

Yelp
The food is amazing! We were tentative to try it because my hubby is not drawn to Indian food. I love curry and have been anxious to go. The food did not disappoint! I LOVED my curry and he loved his dish. We have been back several times and tried different things. Our kids love it too! It's great for carry out but the alley they closed off for seating is pretty cool to sit in. The service was great! They really want you to have a great experience and it shows in all aspects!

Yelp
This is now one of my new favorite spots! You'll be pleasantly surprised by the modern atmosphere along with the extremely delicious food. The staff is really nice, made sure were taken care of and didn't have to wait long for our drinks or entrees. Let me start out by saying go for the Gobi 65. It's cauliflower heaven. Indiana is known for its love of fried cauliflower, this takes it to the next level. A crispy spiced shell outside, tender inside, be sure to eat it with the garnish, absolutely amazing. The chicken tikka kabab was so tender it fell apart as I picked it up with my fork. We also had the butter chicken, nothing to overlook. A rich delicious curry, perfect for spooning onto rice, but you could dip your shoe into it and it would be good. Speaking of dipping, do not forget to order naan. My vote is for the coconut, but you can't go wrong with any of the naan flavors, maybe because we tried them all. Biryani kitchen is a treasure to have in Warsaw!!!

Brenda S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, the garlic naan is unbelievable! Reasonable prices and generous portions. Service is impeccable. A hidden gem well worth seeking out. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Tried this place out while visiting my partner's family for New Year's! Absolutely delicious!! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Saag and plain naan, and it loved it! Everything we had was exactly how we ordered it and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were also very nice. We'll definitely come back next time we're in town!

Yelp
Delicious food at a very reasonable price. The lunch buffet is definitely worth a visit!

Clay L.

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant in Warsaw. The food is fantastic and I love that they allow you to select spice level when ordering online. I can't wait to try more. I recommend the gobi appetizers.

Yelp
Popped in today for lunch. Everything was well made, flavorful, and delicious. Lunch is buffet only, but there were a wide variety of dishes available. I especially enjoyed the chicken tikka and the warm, perfect naan. It would be helpful if the labels on the buffet gave more information, we had to ask several questions as one of us has a food allergy. However, the very nice young lady answered all of our questions. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner, when you can order from a menu, as there are several dishes (I'm looking at you, saag paneer) that we would like to try. It's a small place, with some quirky seating, and some regular table seating. The decor is hipster, which is interesting, and everything (including the restroom) was clean and tidy. Very happy to have this place available. Note that the entry door is at the end of the alley (the back of the building) at the top of a few wooden steps. It's easy to accidentally walk past.

Amy C.

Yelp
I was there for the lunch buffet. It was ok. I think the flavors could have been a lot bolder, and I wasn't really happy with the variety of dishes. I will order the Chicken Tikka Masala as take out next time. Main disappointment was that they didn't have samosas.
