"Located in a renovated historic Franklin home off of Main Street, this beloved local breakfast chain has all of the perks of its original location in Nashville (namely, the hot chicken-stuffed biscuits and “bonuts”), minus the crowds of hungry tourists lining up for blocks." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

@eater

"Earlier this morning, the biscuits began to flow just south of town in historic downtown Franklin, as Biscuit Love officially opened its first location outside of Nashville proper. Located at 132 3rd Ave. S. just a stone’s throw from the city’s public square, Karl and Sarah Worley’s third outpost of the incredibly popular breakfast and lunch spot is housed in the Corn House, a beautiful two-story Queen Anne-style building dating back to 1892. The exterior has remained untouched during the opening process, with the interior receiving cosmetic work. The restaurant seats 90 in its three interior dining areas, with a large covered patio out back that will offer an additional 60 seats when it opens in the spring. The upstairs will eventually be used for private dining, something that hasn’t been a possibility at their Gulch and Hillsboro Village locations due to space limitations. So go get all your Biscuit Love favorites served seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Matt Rogers

Great place for a unique breakfast experience. The atmosphere of the old house in the historic downtown Franklin is very appealing and sets a great aura. Servers were friendly and the quality of food is amazing. A simple menu prevents over analysis. I got the East Nasty and boy it was great. It is a little pricey but it’s to be expected in Franklin. My only real complaint is that I needed a refill on my coffee and I had to go ask for it as there are not designated servers. Orders are placed at a window.

Delicious. We were headed out of town and stopped in on a Monday around 9am. Not busy no wait. Very beautiful old Victorian home with furnishings and comfortable vibe. We of course tried the bonuts fantastic flavors. The breakfast and biscuits were very homemade. The Chai and coffee amazing. Overall very happy we stopped.

Dave DC

Google
Pros: good location in downtown. The Bonuts must be had! You need to order them if you come here. Biscuits are flaky, buttery and salty. Cons: a bit pricey for what you get. It was a good breakfast, but not great. Potatoes were overcooked and a bit dry. Egg was ok nothing special really. Grits were a bit floury tasting.

Google
We came here for brunch and it was amazing! The bonuts are better than donuts, in my opinion! I got the omelet, and it was one of the best omelets I've ever had! It came with a side of fried potatoes, too! I was so full when we finished! I would come again!

Vanessa

Google
Biscuit Love was just as amazing as we heard it was. Food, adult beverages, atmosphere all amazing. The employees were welcoming and service experience was great. Heard that the wait is usually 45-60 minutes but we got lucky and had NO WAIT. Must have timed it perfectly. The ordering process is different than standard restaurants. Food is made to order but you walk to register to order, they then assign you a table where you go to wait for food and drinks to be brought to you. Water is self-serve however. Will be back! We loved it!

Kim Grammer

Google
Ordered at a register and directed to a table. The guy at the register was very nice. The biscuit was unlike any I've had before, with almost the texture of a dumpling, but it was also layered. It was DELICIOUS! The gravy tastes just like Grandma's. My BF enjoyed his Hungry Hash Bowl. I would love it if "Biscuit Love" would come to Richmond, Virginia!!!!

Google
Wow! Not used to this type of service but the person behind the register was on point! She was so good about telling us how to order and her recommendations. I ordered the vegetarian shakshouka , delicious! Loved it! My friends ordered the egg plates...They loved their orders! This place had excellent customer service and quality food. Would totally come back again.

Google
Everything was amazing. From the speed of the service to the friendliness of the entire staff, it was an amazing experience. We had the biscuits and gravy plus bloody Mary and coffee. Highly recommend for a great breakfast experience.

Yelp
Oh my, Biscuit LOVE!! This place was awesome. We were visiting my sister in Franklin, TN and this was our last stop of the trip. We obviously saved the best for last. Literally everything on the menu looked delicious. There were 10 of us and I think everyone tried something different and loved it all. After staring at the menu forever, I landed on their biscuit & sausage gravy with a side of skillet potatoes. I completely forgot to take a picture bc I was so excited to dig in! The biscuit was buttery and perfect, probably the best biscuit I've ever had. The gravy was deliciously seasoned. This will definitely become a must stop next time we're in town!

Yelp
When a 7-year-old tells you their favorite spot is Biscuit Love, you might think, "Sure, kid, but what do you know?" Well, turns out they know a lot--like way more than me, apparently, because Biscuit Love absolutely lived up to the hype. We went the GrubHub route, and I hate to admit it, but we were not smarter than a 5th grader--or a 3rd grader, for that matter. The East Nasty? Everything you dream of in a Southern breakfast wrapped up in a glorious biscuit. The Chronic bacon? Let's just say the name isn't a lie--it's dangerously addictive. But the sleeper hit? The chili. Order it, then dip your fried potatoes in it. You're welcome. And don't skip the B-Roll. It's a cinnamon roll, but not just any cinnamon roll--it's the kind that makes you question why you've been settling for anything less your whole life. So yeah, take it from the kids--they know what's up. Biscuit Love is a must-try, no matter your age or biscuit expertise.

Larry S.

Yelp
If you have never been here this is the drill. Order from the counter after entering the house. Pay and then head to an assigned table where your food and beverage will be brought to you. The southern Benny was delicious. 3 biscuits with over easy eggs on top. Then a layer of country ham. All cóvered with a country sausage gravy. Their cinnamon roll was made from their biscuit dought. It was excellent.

Annie H.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for shrimp and grits. The French toast is also delightful without being overly sweet. I've never had a bad meal here.

Mary H.

Yelp
Wow! Not used to this type of self service but the person behind the register was on point! She was so good about telling us how to order and her recommendations. I ordered the vegetarian shakshouka , delicious! Loved it! My friends ordered the egg plates...They loved their orders! This place had excellent customer service and quality food. Would totally come back again.

Yelp
Of course breakfast in Nashville means biscuits and Biscuit Love is one of the best spots! We've previously dined at Biscuit Love in The Gulch, but this Franklin location is amazing! Built in an older home in downtown, the place is beautiful. Same as in the other spot, you get in line and place your order. You're assigned a table and the food is delivered to you. We started out with "bonuts". These are like the best munchkins you could dream of! Little donuts with mascarpone and blueberry jam were the star of the show. We ordered the breakfast egg dish which was served with bacon, cheese grits, and a biscuit. Everything was delicious but the biscuit with jam makes the dish. Easy street parking and friendly service made this a breakfast to remember!

Jon H.

Yelp
This place is the most unique breakfast I've had in a long time. The space is really cool in a historic building and the place is always busy, but comfortably so. Food was outstanding and very unique, the biscuits are not to be missed. I will try more of their restaurants whenever I get a chance to!

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Tennessee here we come! I really enjoy eating here. The atmosphere is quaint, peaceful and just lovely all around. The food is simply delicious. Appealing on the plate and satisfying on the palate. Just good ole fashioned food made well. The service was quick and polite

Matthew A.

Yelp
The ambience and food were equally amazing. We laughed at the dolly photo I. The bathroom mirror. The Bonita were novel and delicious. The food was classic well made country breakfast. I wish we had this place back home in California.

Jamie S.

Yelp
This place was a great stop. The staff was friendly! The food was quick and oh so tasty! Great atmosphere and location. Only negative was parking since I travel with a horse trailer. We got there super early and were able to park, eat and leave thankfully. Would definitely stop here again!

Paige T.

Yelp
OMG! What a great breakfast spot in Franklin!! So good!! It is a nice qaint spot for brunch! It is an old house and so inviting! Jamie, the cashier, was so sweet and answered all our questions about the menu! They gave us a yummy cinnamon roll to celebrate our anniversary!! It was so good. Then our biscuits were delicious with the fried chicken thigh on them. My husband got the spicy princess, and I got the East Nasty with yummy sausage gravy and over easy egg on top. The mimosas were delicious, and mine had fresh squeezed orange juice! So good. If in Fanklin, you must stop here for breakfast/lunch. Parking is available on the street.

Jade F.

Yelp
If I could only use one word to describe this place, it would be "delicious." I'm not a biscuit fan, but the biscuit here is hands down the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. It was so good that I decided to order a half dozen frozen biscuit to go. I'm enjoying one as I write this from the comfort of my home in Iowa. Would I come back again? Most definitely! Not only do they have amazing biscuits, their other food options are also delicious. I got the brussels sprouts salad with egg and it was really good. I crushed it! I'm glad my husband and I stopped by this place because we both thoroughly enjoyed the food here.

Jerry B.

Yelp
Their biscuits are amazing enough that you may want to buy a box for the airplane ride home. However, you won't be so lucky to have such favorable eating conditions if you visit this restaurant on a summer weekend. I am not sure they actually hate their weekend brunch guests, but it feels like you are part of a sadistic Pavlovian experiment where in order to get some of the most amazing, crispy and succulent southern style breakfast food, you have to endure scorching hot lines that snake outside in the direct sun to be ultimately rewarded by sitting in the non-AC and fan less dining rooms that I doubt would even meet the Geneva conventions for prisoners. However, I was no prisoner, other than my desire for great food so I couldn't pass up their amazing biscuits nor even rate it less than 5 stars.

Shaun T.

Yelp
Not certain what's not to , well, love about this place. Retrofitted into an old house, this restaurant is in the tidy, affluent Franklin neighborhood. Street parking is augmented by a nearby garage. Walk in, order and pay at the counter. They assign a numbered table, get service, enjoy. If, like me you are thinking sort of buttermilk biscuits you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd say the layered, flaky pastry is closer to croissant than biscuit. Breakfast is done like it should be. Over easy is runny goodness to be mopped with pieces of biscuit. Grits are the best this northerner had experienced.

Miya M.

Yelp
Biscuit Love has always been one of our favorite spots in Franklin--we've been coming here since 2020 and usually have a great experience with both the food and service. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. To start, we spent $65 on two plates of biscuits and gravy, a latte, and a side of cheese grits, which felt excessive. Then, when my latte arrived, the cup hadn't been properly washed--it had a lipstick stain on the side. When our food came, it was cold, and the biscuits seemed like a smaller portion compared to how they used to be served. On top of that, when I asked for a to-go cup for my coffee, there were no lids available, so my drink went cold quickly in the 30-degree weather. We've always loved Biscuit Love, but this experience left us very disappointed. While we understand the need for markups, $65 for biscuits and subpar service is hard to justify. Sadly, we'll have to think twice before returning, especially considering how expensive it might be for a family to dine here.

Jason M.

Yelp
Two words; East Nasty! Order it, with a scrambled egg. The location is historic, the food was served quickly, and it tasted great! They get busy, so we didn't get our coffee's until after we ate, but they had water and took care of the issue with our caffeinated excellence on the house.

Sophie O.

Yelp
Bonuts 9.8/10 * (fried biscuit dough tossed in sugar, topped with lemon mascarpone served over blueberry compote) - probably the best breakfast dish I've ever had. Light and flavorful. The perfect amount of sweetness. Nasty Princess 8.1/10 - (buttermilk biscuit, topped with fried boneless chicken thighs, aged cheddar, sausage gravy, and a sunny side egg) * chicken was very juicy but there wasn't enough gravy. I'd def get extra gravy next time. Classic Omelet 7.4/10 * (french rolled omelet filled with herby sour cream and artichoke topped with bacon, roasted mushroom, and chive) - very small omelet, thought it was weird everything came on top and not inside.

Neal W.

Yelp
All good was cold and bland. Walked in on a non busy time. Got great service from the checkout worker. But the delivery woman was rude. The place was extremely cold. I paid $77 for a meal not fit to eat. Do not go to this location. The others are better.

Karen D.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday for brunch. It's counter service, and the line was about 10-15min long. I went with the biscuit and egg a la carte, and my dining partners got the East Nasty (biscuit, fried chicken, cheddar, gravy) and Southern benny (biscuit, ham, eggs, gravy), both of which were solid. The service was on the slow side. I really enjoyed the texture and flavor of the biscuit, and their gravy is exquisite. Ambiance is homey and charming. There is a Dolly themed restroom on the left side of the restaurant.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Very cute spot and great for tourists or locals. The biscuits and gravy are amazing and a hit with all of us!

Rick S.

Yelp
Food was ok the setting is in an older house so has a cool vibe. Service was super . One pays for order then gets seated .. lil differ but works

Mark S.

Yelp
Awesome cool place just off the circle in Frankfort. Get their early to get hot bonuts. (bronuts as I called them!). Add eggs add sausage add chicken to waffles all on biscuits and you're ready for nap!'

Derek R.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this place. The reviews are good and it has items I love like doughnuts and biscuits and gravy. Upon arrival I saw the local boys in blue which is a good sign. They know where to eat which made me feel like this would be a home run. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an egg over medium and the doughnuts of course. Along with some coffee. The coffee was good and egg was alright. A little over cooked for over medium but whatever. Then on to the biscuits and gravy. Now I love this and always order them. Have no idea how many different places I've had them but I will say these might have been the worst. Very very disappointing. So I went to the can't miss doughnuts. Well I guess they can. Wasn't a fan of the icing but the plain doughnut wasn't any good either. What the heck. To top it all off that meal was $30. I would have been ok with that if it was good but honestly Denny's is better. And to say Denny's is better is something because I am not a fan but at least the grand slam is only like $8.

Michele B.

Yelp
When I say, I love biscuits and gravy, it might be an understatement. While on a work trip to Nashville, we stopped by this lovely little restaurant in the adorable town of Franklin service was super friendly. The biscuits were out of this world and the little sweet biscuits with their jam OMG, it looks small from the outside but very large going back. I wish I would've took a picture of the Dolly Parton mirror in the restroom because it was hilarious and while in Nashville, you will see many tributes to Dolly but the selfie mirror with her hair was definitely an honorable mention. It's hard to order biscuits and gravy because it's never as good as my dad's like nowhere near it but here the gravy taste almost identical to my dad's and that is world-famous to me . I only wish they were locations in California. I know biscuit love has other locations in Nashville Tennessee. However, this cute little house in the historic little town is definitely worth the visit.

Alicia W.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this is a hot tip...but going on Fall back time change and in the AM lead to on-street parking and no-line. We were able to walk in and order within minutes. We ordered bonuts, a hash bowl and granola + yogurt along with the best fresh squeezed orange juice. I've been to the Gulch location but this one has charming character and it's fun walking around the Franklin square afterwards. Loved the food and location.

Sia K.

Yelp
This place was so adorable! It's a house and you walk in and feels so homie! Everything I have gotten on the menu is delicious so whatever your craving and order will be good! The service is also amazing. Definitely recommend this location!

Syl L.

Yelp
Fail on all counts. Don't love anything about Biscuit Love. Dirty tables. Nowhere to sit, Lazy service. Salty as hell food. Just a mess. More detailed review on TripAdvisor

Bob N.

Yelp
I enjoy going to this restaurant however my last visit was rather disappointing when they informed me that they no longer serve oatmeal. so I tried the gravy. It's a sausage gravy and it really was not that good and I'm not a big lover of their biscuits and they don't have toast. The manager there is quite nice and the place is clean and their service is good.

Ron B.

Yelp
Is a walk up counter to order, then they bring to your table. So if looking for "full service", it might not be the place for you. Beautiful old converted home with a quaint vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, but just did not live up to the hype. I would definitely go back and try again though.

Lily S.

Yelp
One of my favorite Franklin spots for brunch with my mom :) We ADORE the loaded B-Roll It's a frosting-lovers DREAM! The Cherry On Top oatmeal is an underrated dish... I like to imagine that if I was elderly and lived in Downtown Franklin, I would slowly meander down the street everyday for a cozy bowl of oatmeal and a hot cup of coffee at Biscuit Love. But for now, an occasional decadent meal with my mom will suffice :)))

Cindee P.

Yelp
I yelped a breakfast place on the way to Ramsey Solution headquarters and this place popped up. The line out the door was intimidating, but we waited anyways. We probably waited at least 40 minutes in line before we were able to order. You order at the counter and then they assign tables. I saw that you can order online and had the idea to order then take a seat, but it specifically says that tables are for in-dining and not for to-go orders. I tried! LOL The food was so good. We also got lattes. It was cold outside and I asked if they could make the iced Brown Sugar Oat milk latte a hot one, but they said they couldn't. My hubby got the PSL. Both drinks were good!

Rodney L.

Yelp
Cute place my shoukshoua veggie bowl was an egg with tomato sauce. No vegetables at all. No service after food and coffee was delivered to the table. No service was offered for refills or how the food was.

Amy R.

Yelp
Such a quaint house the business is located in and the food.... Oh mah gravy....... AMAZING!!! The Bonuts arw a MUST TRY. You will not regret it!

Jason S.

Yelp
We are from Houston and love checking out new places to eat when we travel (and at home!). The food was very good. We got the west side nasty (east side?), the one that has the shaved ham, potatoes and Brussels. The issue was when we walked in, we asked if it was dog friendly. Then brought the dogs in because we were told "yes" they were. They even started clearing a table for us.. an older woman walked in behind us and her granddaughter was "afraid" of our dogs. Which I get. We had pit bulls. So another woman that works there walks up and says, "you can't have them in here". Excuse me? "Oh I'm sorry, we were told we could." "Are they service?" "Uh... no.." "then no, they can't be in here." RUDE. So while this is happening, 5 people walk in front of us in line. We are then told we can take them around out back, outside. So we did, but the whole interaction was poor at best. Get it together. Get on the same page. Two employees tell we can bring them in, then another says we can't. After we go outside, 2 really big dogs go inside. Guess they were service dogs. Just don't tell us one thing and then act like we as patrons are the problem.

Mark R.

Yelp
At times this place is very busy, which means you start by waiting outside in a line. If it's hot, be prepared. AC works okay inside, thank goodness. You order at a counter (friendly person) and are assigned a table. (Don't try to reserve one yourself by plopping down there.) Food comes pretty soon. Ambience is country classic. Now to the food. It's incredibly delicious. The tastiness of the food is the good news. It's also incredibly unhealthy. I wouldn't even want to know the nutritional content. So this isn't a place where you should eat several times a week if you want to live to a ripe old age. But when you want a treat, a really great treat, and if you like biscuits and the sort of food that goes with them, then this is your place. Worth a 45-minute drive from East Nashville where I was staying to eat here, IMHO. (I'm craving it as I write this review, even though I'm now 2,000 miles away. Sigh.)

Shelia D.

Yelp
Very charming and full of history. This location is so beautiful since its in the heart of Franklin. Serve is great. We ordered and grabbed a # and sat down. Minutes later our omelettes and coffees were ready. Everything tasted like its homemade and so delicious. Loved it all!

Carlos G.

Yelp
Just as good as the Gulch location ....I get the off menu combination called the princess nasty.... fried chicken thigh over their great biscuits with an over easy egg and gravy...literally the best breakfast item I've had .. service is always on point and and gotta love the converted Victorian home it's located in. Biscuit Love is a must for breakfast if you get to Nashville!

Rachel G.

Yelp
Team Breakfast for the win. We went early on a Tuesday morning- no trouble parking or getting a big table. My veggie bowl was delicious- the tomato gravy was interesting. Cappuccino hit the spot. Super friendly staff and fast fresh service.

Jason B.

Yelp
Everything is amazing here just explore the menu and definitely get a Bloody Mary. Also get the bacon and the waffles and chicken and the biscuits and then get something to go

David M.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. We expected a busy Saturday and had 7 people in our party. We walked right up and found a large table right away! Our biscuits, eggs, Benedicts, and coffee were great. The service was friendly and food delivery was prompt. The restaurant was charming and the bathroom was clean and unique(see picture). This location is in a historic building not far from the town square, very cool and convenient for shopping and wandering.

Sam J.

Yelp
Amazing food blew my minds with all the flavors from sweet, spicy and savory. Great service Family friendly.

Ellen B.

Yelp
After landing in Nashville and getting our bearings we headed south to Franklin and had breakfast here. My experience with biscuits and gravy in Chicagoland is pretty abysmal so I was looking forward to having it down here. The sausage gravy did not disappoint. However, I didn't care for the biscuit. I just prefer a different type. Ice tea here, as all the places we went to, was wonderful. It was crazy crowded. If you have the time, do not go on a weekend. Eating outside was pleasant here.

Elle M.

Yelp
Love the Franklin location just off the historic town square in a 1860 Eras home. Great place to start the morning before a walk about town.

Alyson S.

Yelp
MUST GO FOR BREAKFAST!!!! Phenomenal food, atmosphere, and service! This cute house was like being at grandmas house!! Welcoming, fresh food, and a love out the door! Get there early! Everything was great. Will visit again if in Nashville!

Pam B.

Yelp
My advise is to go early. We visited this restaurant at 11am and the biscuits were terrible. They were probably made at 6 that morning.

Steve U.

Yelp
A converted classic house into a perfect southern cafe. Delicious southern comfort food replete with all the charm Franklin can offer. A real winner!!

Crystal W.

Yelp
First of all, the historic house that the restaurant is in is beautiful with so much ambience. Service was great. We tried the Korean chicken & bubble waffles--so delicious. The Bonuts were great as well. I also highly recommend the fruit tea--such a refreshing caffeine option!

Amanda W.

Yelp
The food was excellent and ambience was great but the service was so poor it really brings this place down and unlikely we'll visit again. The man behind the register barely said anything and seemed to just hate his job. It's really unfortunate when restaurants have great food and atmosphere but the service is so bad, really makes the experience and restaurant not as enjoyable and less likely to return.

Katie N.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and I immediately fell in love with the esthetics of this vintage looking home this restaurant is located. It can get crowded quite quickly in this small little place. Parking is limited to street parking. There is also an outdoor seating patio area. We ordered the Princess, the East Nasty ($12.5) and the Shrimp and Grits ($16). The food was delicious, however, the portion size was very small for the cost. The shrimp and grits were delicious. The cost of a large OJ was $9.50 for a large which looked quite small. The sweet tea was perfect and they offered refills. Overall, I loved the rustic feel, the food was good, and customer service great.
