The Best (and Most Unnecessary) Platinum Jubilee Souvenirs to Buy - Eater

"Some of these cookies are sold a la carte, so I picked up a crown (St. Edward’s this time) and Queenie, a gingerbread Elizabeth II. The crown has edible shimmer on it, and it looks cool. Like every biscuit in the Jubilee tin, it is lightly lemon; in terms of the texture, the packaging says to consume within six months, which I think covers things." - Rachel P. Kreiter

I visited Biscuiteers Notting Hill for the Afternoon Tea & DIY Icing Experience for Two, which I received as a gift (usually £68 per person via Biscuiteers or £143.50 for 2 on Virgin Experience Days before discount codes). The interior is beautifully decorated; monochrome in the classic Biscuiteers logo and very Instagrammable. However, the afternoon tea area itself felt a little small and cramped. It would’ve been nice to have a bit more space to relax and enjoy the full experience. But it was a nice little table for the icing experience! The icing experience was genuinely lovely. We got to choose from various biscuit themes, the London Collection, Mother’s Day, and Floral Collection, and decorate them using piping bags and a guide. A special shoutout to Saima, who was so kind and attentive. She showed us different techniques, offered help whenever needed, and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. They also had vegan biscuits and vegan icing available, which was perfect for my friend who is vegan. The afternoon tea, however, was a mixed bag. The savoury options were great, I requested no ham, and the team swapped it for extra salmon. The cream cheese and cucumber was classic and delicious. The scones were good, but the standout was the strawberry jam, which was unreal. The patisserie selection was also tasty, beautifully presented and full of flavour. However, we were disappointed by the lack of vegan alternatives. We were informed via email that there were no vegan scones or patisserie, and instead of offering a substitute, I had to request a vegan alternative myself via email which should really be handled proactively by the team.. We were given only two Little Miss Hug biscuits as substitutes. In 2025, that feels like a real missed opportunity. Overall, it was a fun, therapeutic, and very memorable experience, especially the icing part. I’d recommend it as a gift or special treat, but with the caveat that the vegan offering still needs work. A little more space and a more inclusive menu would make this a perfect day out.

First off if I can give the service 12/10 I would. We had a group of 6, with 5 being out of towners and London being London, trains were down and traffic was terrible so they were late. The manager was so accommodating and turned what could be a stressful situation into a lovely one. Everyone enjoyed themselves and loved the shopping afterwards. We all enjoyed the food in the afternoon tea, especially the pastries! It was a great experience and am grateful to the staff for making it a memorable one for everyone.

It was our first time enjoying English tea and scones an it was delicious!. The waitresses were really nice and gave us recommendations so that we could try what they considered the best in their menu, since we have never had it before. Besides, they also told us a few places to visit during our stay in London.

Very cute coffee , prices not cheap but you pay for the atmosphere and the deserts and the coffee is very nice as well ! Worth visiting definitely

Google
Definitely a unique spot with an interesting activity. Went for the diy biscuit decorating which was somewhere in the £60 range for 2 people which I do think was decent value but we only got to decorate 3 biscuits each. It was good fun the staff were friendly and it was a really chill spot to be. We were given an hour slot when booking but were allowed to stay much longer because it was quite empty. Can’t blame the staff but it sounded like they were excavating batmans cave below us the entire time which was obviously far from ideal. Aside from the diy biscuits themselves, we got carrot cake (top 5 I’ve ever had( I’ve tried a lot )) a hot chocolate with all the trimmings which was really good, a pumpkin spice latte and cream tea scones which were also good (made fresh with a 15 minute wait) cool place, good service and about as expensive as you’d expect. 8.8/10

Google
Very lovely experience for the DIY & Afternoon Tea. Hopefully, next time I'm in town I can catch a workshop too. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. And the food was plenty, with some nice flavour enhancements on the classics. (Truffled ham and cheese was amazing)

Google
I was so ready to give the Biscuiteers a 5/5 rating! I've been following their instagram page for a while and was excited to try their creations myself. I knew the prices were steep, but since they're iced by hand, I decided to splurge the roughly £10 per cookie. The shop was cute, the service friendly and the biscuits look really nice! But the taste... I'm sorry but it was simply not good enough (bad, if I'm being totally honest). Cardboard with icing is an apt description. There's no taste to them except the icing. Not a whiff of chocolate in the supposed chocolate biscuits. I've been trying to hand out the rest of the biscuits, but nobody wants more after a first taste! What a disappointment tbh. Please find a different recipe. Biscuits should not be merely decorative, they should taste nice!!! Especially at these prices...

Yelp
When I worked at Kennedy Space Center, we used them for making cookies and oh my goodness were they amazing. All of our media LOVED these cookies and looked forward to them each year. The cookies always looked beautiful and the staff was friendly with our PR team.

Yelp
We were looking for an afternoon tea at the last moment, and the staff was so lovely to accommodate us without a pre-booking. The manager and staff were so kind to make extra scones so that we could try out an English tea. They gave our picky eater other options so that everyone was happy. The presentation and taste of the food was just perfect. Each one of us had a favorite item, but enjoyed all of the options presented. We shared 2 teas among the 4 of us and it was a perfect amount of food. I would recommend based on service, presentation and taste. Thank you for being so patient with us.

Yelp
Lovely little spot for afternoon tea, lattes, or finding the perfect gift. We sipped the creamiest pumpkin spiced lattes in n their adorable signature red and white striped mugs. The scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were delicious. Staff were very friendly. The interior is casually elegant and the exterior is absolutely adorable with the striped awning. There are so many unique biscuits to choose from you could finish your shopping list for everyone on every occasion. We bought a Notting Hill biscuit and the special edition Bridgerton box. I also picked up a mug, roomy tote, tea, and their cheese dog biscuits. Loved everything!

Yelp
I recently visited the Biscuiteers location in Belgravia (which I can't find on Yelp for some reason) and it was the most adorable experience. All I could think of was I wish I was with my girlfriends, mom or nieces. The snacks were great and the coffee delish. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in London!

Yelp
We had a very disappointing experience today. I paid GBP 36 for my daugher and her friend to decorate 3 ready made cookies each. No instruction was given and we had to ask for simple things like icing and a utensil to spread the icing. Decorations were very limited with just 3 types of sprinkles. Honestly what a giant waste of time and money. Cute shop but we won't be back.

Yelp
I stopped by Biscuiteers' Notting Hill location in search of gifts that were truly British to bring back to friends and family in the states. Biscuiteers' has biscuits for different occasions and holidays. During my visit, I saw plenty of biscuits for Halloween prominently displayed in the front of the shop. Some biscuits can be personalized and there are also classes you can take to learn how to decorate biscuits. Some are for children and some are for adults. Biscuiteers can also host corporate events. There is also an online shop for those who cannot make it into the brick and mortar locations. The store itself is very inviting. Upstairs is filled with biscuits for purchase and downstairs is where the biscuit are made and classes take place. The ladies working in the shop were so nice and chatted with me while I waited for a biscuit to be personalize.

Yelp
I took my first trip to London last Fall and new I wanted to go to the Biscuiteers in Notting Hill. This little shop is beyond darling, and the employees that work there were so helpful. My sister bought some dog treats and a cute coffee mug as a gift for me, and I got a tote bag and latte. The latte was served unsweetened, but it was just perfect with the sample iced ginger cookie I was given with my beverage. One of the workers was even nice enough to snap our picture as we enjoyed our treats outside the shop. I can't wait to order online and to go back to visit again.

Yelp
We had an amazing afternoon tea at Biscuiteers! The scones were just made, and we enjoyed lovely British pastries like the Victoria sponge. The shop is absolutely charming, and there are so many things to see in Notting Hill. And grab a beautiful tin of cookies on your way out!

Yelp
I scored a half price afternoon tea voucher and took my boyfriend when he was visiting me. It was tucked behind noting hill, which is a nice walk on a good London day. The staff were friendly and made sure to tell us they were sitting us upstairs away from the kid cookie making party! Grateful as they let us sit for as long as we wanted with plenty of tea and coffee refills. The tea itself is not traditional, but rather a modern take on tea. Everything is bite size, but there are lots of cookies, cakes and macaroons to showcase their shop. It was a fun experience and I'd recommend it for someone looking for funky different take on tea for an afternoon. Also the shop is adorable!

Yelp
Definition of Instagram worthy. I love the effort and detail put into the decoration of the fancy iced cookies, but I'm not a huge fan of all the royal icing so I tried a jammy dodger and it was SO good. I also got an iced cookie that was gluten free and it wasn't bad at all! A lot of times gluten free cookies have a very gritty texture but that wasn't the case with this one. If you're looking for a bakery with a lot of photo ops, this is the place!

Yelp
I have to give this shop a five-star rating because it is so cute and very unique. The biscuits are beautiful or you can pay and decorate and customize the biscuits yourself. The added bonus is you can also have a London Afternoon Tea or a bottle of Prosecco while you decorate. The DIY is always available or on Tuesdays they offer a 2-4-1 DIY Icing Café. Classes are offered; private parties; children's parties; or you can order handmade cakes or biscuits made by their pastry chef with same day delivery in London. Yelp
This was our third time here. It's always brilliant if you have an afternoon to kill. I take a 3 year old there and he LOVES decorating his own biscuits which we then send off as gifts to family in Australia. Great selection of gift ideas too which can be personalized. Try this place peeps. The kids will love it

Yelp
I love this shop! It's so cute and the cookies are great! They're too cute to eat! Was visiting from the states and I literally searched for this place while in Nottinghill and got so excited when I found it! Workers are really nice and the store was just so cute!

Yelp
A biscuit should be crisp, crunchy, buttery and scrumptious? Well these are not. They are tasteless, floury, not a bit buttery and quite frankly completely soggy and rank. Pretty to look at, I give them that, but this is where the loveliness ends. The customer service is shocking, arrogant, obnoxious and one for Which? Investigators. These products are completely overpriced. Even the tin is cheap; the corners are so sharp you could do yourself any injury. Avoid and save yourself a great deal of money.

Yelp
DIY for kids is disappointing. Went there thinking at 18ponds it would be hands on with an instructor. Instead our two kids baked 6 cookies and the charge was no different than what they do for adults. A bit steep for being left at the table with no real class or instructions. Request to mgmt: think of something more reasonable for children pls?

Yelp
Man is this place cute!! I wanted to buy everything. Half cafe half gift shop. They have so many cute gingerbread cookies that are all decorated adorably. If I lived near here I would get tons of gifts for my friends. My cookie was so cute I didn't want to eat it! Clean bathrooms. You can also pay to decorate your own.
