We came here on a Thursday night just looking for good food because of reviews. We ended up getting way more than we expected . Thursdays here had an open mic and poetry night called Love & Lyrics. When I tell you the vibe here was the best I've seen in a while, I can not overstate how much fun we had. The food was amazing ( I absolutely loved the catfish and grits), and the drinks were strong, which I love. But a nice crowd started pouring in for the open mic night, and Love & Lyrics began. From the opening poetry readings by the hostess, to a live poetry Q&A, R&B, Comedy, Rap, and poetry readings by special guest poets. It's simply amazing. The vibe was one of community, friendship, a place for your truth, a place for discovery.

Nice spot in downtown Pontiac. The food was delicious. We ordered chicken omelet, the steak and eggs, and side of cheese grits. Everything was great. I really enjoyed the steak. We didn't tried the drinks, the prices were a little more then I wanted to spend, for a drink. Also, for a brunch spot, I think they should offer a mimosa. Just a suggestion.

Long wait for food and it was not busy. Service left a lot to be desired. The karaoke was live and so fun. When the food did arrive it was delicious and huge portions. Not real creamer for the coffee just powdered. Will try it again.

Nice atmosphere and music, good service, food presentation was great however the food lacked flavor. Salmon bites not as expected, more like a tuna deep fried ball. Cheesy grits need a little more cheese throughout not just sprinkled on top. Grits topped with fried catfish fillet that was fried to perfection but again lacked seasoning. My friend chose the po-boy, this had a spicy sauce that he said was very good. Not a horrible experience but wish it was a little more flavorful, worth checking out though.

Read some of the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance. I have no regrets. The catfish and grits were perfect. The service wasn't the fastest, but I wouldn't call it slow either. I can see how they may struggle with a packed house, however. The live music was a surprise and a huge plus. The food didn't take a long time to prepare, it came out hot and was cooked to order. Give it a chance, we will definitely be back in the future.

I decided to try this place our since it was new and I heard mixed reviews. It was early and rainy so there wasn't many people there so we were able to seated quickly. We start with biscuits with a bourbon sauce. The biscuits were not traditional but they were good. I like the sauce, but as many others has said, it would be best on some meat. I ordered chicken and cakes. My pancakes were good, I ordered white meat. The chicken could have used a little more seasoning but it wasn't dry which is good for white meat. My husband ordered the catfish and grits. He said the catfish was good and flaky. ..but them grits!!! Baby!!! They tasted amazing! They were velvety and full of flavor! That smoked gouda cheese!!! My mom ordered the French toast and beef bacon. The bacon was cooked too much. We didn't send it back, it wasn't all over cooked. We ordered the black tea also. It was a good experience and we definitely will return.

Made reservations via phone 2 weeks prior to 4/12/25 for 15 people at 5:30p for my birthday. Arrived at the designated time with 15 people and NOT ONE PERSON WAS IN THE RESTAURANT. No servers, managers, patrons, not a soul. Ironically, the door was ajar. We called on the phone, no answer. Walked to the middle of a COMPLETELY EMPTY RESTAURANT and yelled “Hello”. We walked to nearby businesses and THEY ALL stated that dozens of people showed up throughout the day, furious at the scene. Luckily, Fillmore Brewery directly across the street took pity on us (they too had been asked multiple times) and seated us with no wait time. I’ll post an update if I ever receive any answers (excuses) for the situation.
