"The menu at the trailer Biscuits + Groovy is simple—biscuits, a few toppings, and some form of sausage (either traditional or vegan). It's a good daytime spot with a few picnic tables out front where you can watch people wander over from Barton Springs and Peter Pan Mini-Golf. We recommend The Village—it comes with white pepper gravy, sausage, jalapenos, colby jack cheese, black pepper, and chives—and an order of fresh-squeezed OJ. You can even bring your own champagne and turn that breakfast into a mimosa brunch." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

Fluffy, delicious biscuits with really good creamy gravy. We got the Johnny add potatoes no chives and the Gloria. Savory and delicious. Probably the best biscuits I’ve had in a really long time! A good amount of food. Definitely will be back!

Google
I recently had a breakfast at here, and it was an absolutely delight. I highly recommend trying the Hammer and The Bee Gee, both are incredibly flavorful and satisfying. One of the highlights of my meal was the homemade jelly. It's simply divine and perfectly complements the biscuits. The truck is easy to find with ample parking, and there are plenty of tables and chairs for comfortable dining. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Biscuits + Groovy is a good choice for a delicious breakfast.

Google
Place was busy so me and my husband stopped!! I ordered the Donna and the Johnny both bland no flavor in biscuit, egg, potato or gravy,Jam is not anything to get excited about. Presentation is wonderful food is Bland no flavor at all would not recommend if your looking for flavor or like seasoning on your food.

Google
These are not your granny’s biscuits and gravy! These biscuits are baked to prefect fluffy perfection. In fact, Mike Lindell should sue them because every bite is like the perfect pillow for your tongue! The Bee Gees with jelly are a perfect appetizer to your meal. The striking difference here from getting biscuits and gravy from any old restaurant is that they understand that more toppings makes for better eating! The meats taste amazing and the bacon is the most perfectly crisp, but not crunchy bacon I have ever eaten. All of the flavors mix together well indicating the time and care that was taken to craft all of their specialties. This doesn’t particularly matter to me, but their menu also states that all options can be made vegan and vegetarian if you ask. This place definitely is Groovy!

Google
This food truck specializes in biscuits loaded with toppings. I had a swim at Barton springs and came here for lunch, and the biscuits are okay, but the gravy is pretty bland. The potato toppings are pretty good. I've heard their eggs are weird so I didn't order a dish with eggs. (BTW I ordered "the Johnny").

Google
A sweet little food truck with rocking biscuits and gravy. I had the hammer. A biscuit, sausage, eggs, cheese and gravy. Very filling, couldn't even finish it. Plus a parking lot right there. I would definitely recommend this spot if you like a doughy biscuit and extra creamy gravy.

J Kullman

Google
I was doubtful the biscuits would be a good size just based on the price and there being 3 in a regular order. It's so much delicious food for the price. Definitely one we could have split but it's nice getting more portions than you're expecting.

Chris Drazba

Google
Awesome biscuits and gravy! They offer vegan options as well. Cool spot, seating in front. Recommend if you're in the area. The guy very knowledgeable about local spots for food and cocktails as well, gave some good recommendations! Will be back!

Ernesto L.

Yelp
Great vegan options for strictly biscuits and gravy with different fixins. Got the Gloria and it was delicious. Very creamy, rich, and filling. This is a food truck with outdoor seating. When youre in Austin and craving biscuits and gravy with vegan options, this is your spot!!!!

Ashley G.

Yelp
Service was quick & woman working the truck had an amazing personality! Food was okay, was not a fan of the sausage at all & picked it all out. Biscuits great, soft and hot. Gravy didn't have much flavor, so glad I had jalapeños and stuff on here to try and balance out.

Maisha H.

Yelp
Stopped here for a breakfast snack since the place had excellent reviews on yelp! Got a regular biscuit with vegan sausage, eggs and cheese. It was called the Hammer. The biscuits were moist and it was quite cheesy with chives sprinkled on the top but the vegan sausage was not it. There's too many great options these days for vegan sausage for restaurants to still to be using stuff that tastes like MorningStar. The service was quick although disappointed that he couldn't do just egg whites. And the ambience is outdoor seating with a cool funky vibe. I would definitely try it again just minus the vegan sausage.

Jennie A.

Yelp
Delicious, warm biscuits! The service is fast and friendly and they have picnic tables (both covered and uncovered) next to the truck. I ordered the Bee Gee with the jam of the day (blackberry) and it was perfect. The biscuit had great texture and flavor and the blackberry jam with it was divine. Would recommend!

Jessie C.

Yelp
Great food truck with even greater food!! We all ordered the hammer ($4.95) and for $5 it will fill you up. I like how they have the option of putting the gravy on the side or on top. The service was slightly slow but that's only because it was only one person- def worth the wait. The seating area is full of sun so it's such a good way to get in some fresh air. It lacked a little flavor/salt- but it makes up for it in the value, quantity, & amount.

Bella O.

Yelp
A cute little food truck to cure a biscuit and gravy craving. It's like a hug in a bite!

jamie s.

Yelp
I thought from the reviews I was going to be in love. I ordered the Hammer. I paid 5 dollars. Great price. The portion was generous! The bacon was yummy and the eggs were fluffy. The biscuits have no flakiness or buttery flavor and the gravy is really bland. My hubs liked his and said it was yummy! He had the Johnny.

Erica K.

Yelp
I ordered the Jonny Hash, and you get a huge portion for $11, too huge. Everything in Texas is big, and this is no exception. More than half was leftover which is wasteful. Perhaps smaller portions, half size, can be offered. I was visiting the city and my hotel room did not have a refrigerator, nor microwave. As for flavor, it was good, but not a home run. I usually don't eat breakfast, but I was on vacation with friends.

Megan L.

Yelp
I never considered myself to be a huge fan of biscuits, but my taste has certainly changed in the past few years. This food truck is so delicious. It's definitely a bit pricey for just biscuits and gravy, but you can order them however you'd like! Add some green onion, bacon, egg, cheese, and sausage. It's such a filling breakfast. There's plenty of parking and the workers are really nice! It's probably a good thing that it's so far from my apartment because I can see myself craving biscuits from here all the time.

Rachel J.

Yelp
This place is so dang good. The biscuits were hot and fluffy, not a little bit based on the outside, but the entire biscuit was soft and fluffy and warm. So the service was absolutely great i've never been to this place before so I just asked for a recommendation and the gentleman was so kind and helpful. I should've asked for him on a biscuit. The area was super cute. There was a truck and some really great benches that had umbrellas over it as well to protect you from the Austin heat. 10/10 experience

Julie S.

Yelp
Yum yum yum!! I still dream about Biscuits & Groovy, days after my trip to Austin has concluded! I came here as a stop on a brunch walking tour (we tried a total of 3 places) and this was by far my favorite stop! We tried the Gloria Gaynor and man was it delicious. The biscuits were perfectly warm and soft. They served as the perfect base for all the great toppings - eggs, gravy, bacon, jalapeño, cheese... love it all! My only heads up - we came during an especially hot morning in Austin... there is some seating out by the food truck, but not a lot of shade. Make sure you're prepared!

Patrick C.

Yelp
If you love biscuits & gravy, go get groovy! Prices were reasonable. Food was delicious. Service was fast and pleasant. What more can you ask for?

Victoria A.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. Nothing better than a big, whopping plate of fluffy biscuits and rich, hearty gravy. The additions of cheese, sausage and bacon on top? I was certain this would be a home run, especially after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, this meal was very underwhelming. The biscuits themselves were pretty good! The portion size was generous, making the price point seem more reasonable. They were also liberal with the toppings. The sad disappointment was the gravy itself. Completely devoid of any flavor. Seriously needing salt and some kind of fat to give it flavor. It truly had no taste. I was so disappointed. If they can work on the gravy, this place would be top tier. Or maybe I just ordered on an off day.

Jessica J.

Yelp
Cute little food truck with perfectly priced breakfast food. We got the Hammer and it was enough for us to split. The cashier was nice too. They have several shaded picnic tables.

Cathy L.

Yelp
Easy parking with lots of spaces. It's by another food truck (a taco one) as well if you want options. You can order the food at the QR at each table. Quick wait and they bring the food out to you. Lots of seating with some shade. Very hearty portions for an affordable price. I got the Donna which is a huge portion of biscuits, cheese, sausage, eggs, and gravy. It could probably feed two people if you're not that hungry. It's very heavy and might put you in a food coma later. The biscuits were very soft and warm, and the whole meal was covered in cheese. The sausage was a little bit small but was pretty tasty. Overall if you're looking for biscuits and gravy, this is a nice outdoor, no fuss option.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Please do yourself a favor and eat here! Super good food with huge portions at a good price.

Adriane V.

Yelp
Ordered online, arrived 6 mins before order was due to be ready. Waited 25 more minutes for food and it wasn't hot. ‍

Joni S.

Yelp
The biscuits took a minute, so we ran over to Starbucks for a coffee. So worth the wait, DELICIOUS!

Heather R.

Yelp
These biscuits are so groovy. Served by a friendly lady and smothered in a perfect southern sausage gravy. The portions are very big so if you want to keep your groovy waistline maybe split a dish with a friend.

Carly Y.

Yelp
OMG this place is incredible! I'm not a huge gravy person but I loved every bite. Highly recommend!

Stacie R.

Yelp
This was an amazing experience and hope they deliver this way every time..fresh biscuits and delicious gravy and toppings..I don't do biscuits and gravy but this has definitely made me want to try the whole menu and I ordered over the phone and drove from Pflugerville to pick it up..will definitely be back

Katelyn W.

Yelp
Thank you Biscuit & Groovy! Best breakfast I have had in a minute. We ordered the Johnny, M.C. Hammer and Bee Gee (Banana Foster Jam of the day). If you want to have a home style filling breakfast downtown that's dog friendly. Pay Biscuits and Groovy a visit. The pictures speak for themselves. I recommend sharing a plate unless you can eat a lot. They give you three biscuits open faced and fully loaded.

Allison N.

Yelp
It is 10:02am on a Thursday. This place is closed. Google says it's open. Will never come back. Can't say the food is good because it's not open. It's a breakfast place. Closed at 10:02am on a Thursday. They apparently don't need my business anyway.

Allie R.

Yelp
Huge portions and sooo delicious. You can order from the food truck or online. I placed an online order and ate it at the picnic tables upon pickup. I will definitely grab breakfast from here again soon! The biscuits were super fresh and delicious

Kelly S.

Yelp
This little gem is amazing! Stopped here for breakfast one morning on our trip in Austin. It was busy but we ordered and got our food quickly. They have vegetarian options as well which I love and the price is great! I highly recommend

Jonaya P.

Yelp
I had the Donna & I substituted for vegan sausage and no gravy. It was average. It'll probably be very delicious eating the leftovers after I get drunk tonight.

Andy D.

Yelp
Oh wow. One of the best breakfasts I've had in Austin. This is a food truck, but there is seating. And the food is delicious.

Melisa M.

Yelp
First impressions: unassuming food truck in the parking lot of the pet store. Short wait to order and receive biscuits - big plus. Hearty portions (the three of us shared two orders and a dessert biscuit). Cute, shaded outdoor seating areas. Easy parking... You know since it's located in a parking lot. However, ultimately the food didn't do it for me. The biscuits were too soft, almost at an undercooked doughy consistency. Only the dessert biscuit showed some flaky promise. The filling to biscuit ratio was also bleak, often where you're getting a mouthful of just doughy biscuit. The gravy was also too floury for my taste. The fresh orange juice was delicious - would definitely pop back over for that.

Danielle R.

Yelp
I was craving a biscuit and this place totally hit the spot. I was surprised at the price but when I realized how much food you got it made total sense. I think I finished only half. Ingredients all seemed to be of great quality, eggs, gravy, biscuit, and I loved the touch of fresh green onion.

Tressa M.

Yelp
Enjoyed vegan biscuits and gravy with tofu scramble and vegan meat! It was good and not too too expensive for austin. Lots of parking and places with shade to sit. No vegan gave it a 4/10 I feel like it's a 6/10. Fast service and fresh squeezed orange juice. Music and picnic tables!

Review Y.

Yelp
Great food! Biscuits are perfect and if you're wondering, vegan gravy is EXCELLENT. Wish I hadn't gotten it on the side now. In the parking lot beside Great Outdogs. Not a lot of drink selections, though, so you may want to bring your own morning beverage.

Christopher T.

Yelp
Let's be clear, none of the attributes of a good biscuit (flaky, buttery, fluffy, layered, golden brown) will be found here. The biscuits are not good. That being said, this place is totally fun. The menu is comprised of only six items, each building on the previous in complexity and culminating in a mountain of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, jalapeños, cheese, and chives. What will keep me going back for more is that any one of those six menu items can be modified to be either vegetarian or vegan. For instance, their sausage gravy can me ordered in one of three ways: one with actual sausage, another with fake sausage but real butter, and a third with no animal products whatsoever. And for offering such versatility to accommodate so many dietary options, I will love Biscuits + Groovy forever.

Julianna M.

Yelp
YES YES YES! I love Biscuits, I love breakfast, this one one of the places on the tour of Austin my friend brought me to. I went with The Johnny - I was not disappointed. The morning we went it was kind of chilly, they do have picnic tables if you want to eat on the spot. We took ours to go and I thought it was delicious and everything I want in a breakfast.

Toya M.

Yelp
Every thing was good tasting and perfect for my 1st time, didn't know what all to expect out the food truck, was very fulfilling portion size was also great! Not too long of a wait either and nice decent tables to eat why fresh and hot

N S.

Yelp
So glad we found this place when searching online. Biscuits and gravy what else could you ask for? Add eggs, meat and cheese, pure perfection! The man working even brewed us fresh coffee. Check this place out, you won't be worry.

Fran Q.

Yelp
Yummy, get the one with the bacon. Food came out with quick and had a lot of food. You can only sit on park benches

K O.

Yelp
it was delicious. and generous portions. the guy was super nice. a trash can had fallen over and we told him we were still looking at the menu he asked if it was ok to clean up the trash. so he went over and picked it up halfway through he came back to make sure we were still deciding

Laura L.

Yelp
Really great biscuits. Dinged a star because CHIVES and GREEN ONIONS are not the same thing!!! Please give us real chives or update your menu to say green onions! :'(

Stephanie A.

Yelp
quick & delicious breakfast recommendation! one of my favorite quick bites in town! look for their food truck on barton! pictured is the johnny (bacon, potatoes, colby jack, pepper, and chives)

Jessica F.

Yelp
So yummy!! We always saw a huge line as we drove by and knew it had to be good. Finally tried it today! We got the Gloria with potatoes and it was very good. The gentleman at the pickup window was SO nice and very proud of his product. He chatted with almost everyone that ordered/picked up and it really set the mood. Everyone was cheery :)

Steven M.

Yelp
I ate a whole lot of great food in Austin and as I try and think of what the best breakfast I had was, I can't help but pick Biscuits + Groovy. This small food truck was not the ideal place to go Tuesday morning as it was super cold and it takes some waiting time to get the perfect biscuits and gravy, but boy oh boy, was it worth it! I ended up ordering what I believe was the best option this place had, it was biscuits and gravy with sausage, bacon, and cheese on top making it quite possibly the most mouth watering thing I had all trip. This meal was absolutely incredible and blew my taste buds away. The meat was cooked just right and it wasn't too overwhelming flavour wise. The biscuits were super moist thanks to the gravy and the gravy was absolutely delicious. Overall, Biscuits + Groovy was a five star meal and a 5 star experience. If you haven't had the pleasure of eating at this truck I believe they have multiple locations and you will not regret it!

Shelby J.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing! Hands down will be back. So tasty! We went on Easter Sunday. There was no wait and the food came out hot and quick

Grace Y.

Yelp
Pretty yummy!!! Came on a HOT Saturday around lunchtime and it seems like everyone else had the same idea. The setup is a food truck in a parking lot with some picnic tables as seating. Some have umbrellas for shade and some don't. You stand in line to order at the truck, then they give you a number to place on your table and someone brings your food to your table. You can also opt for takeout. They have a bunch of "three biscuit breakfast" options but I thought that it was way too much food, so I just opted for the bee gee, which is one biscuit with butter and jam. For the jam you can choose grape, strawberry, or jam of the day. I was in luck because the jam of the day was bananas foster. Obviously I had to get that! (Let's ignore the fact that I only learned what bananas foster was the other day.) It was $1.50 and delicious.

Nicole G.

Yelp
This is my absolute FAVORITE place to grab a fun morning breakfast in austin! Yes it's a little food truck but do not let that deceive you, this truck has the absolute best biscuits and gravy combinations and they are to die for, I literally crave this place!! They also have a vegan menu which is so awesome especially because I am dairy free and it still taste so amazing! The vibe is cute, it's in a little parking lot, with some benches and you can order it to go or eat it there! If you haven't tried it you need to get in it! Yum!

Amanda S.

Yelp
We visited Biscuits and Groovy on Saturday morning when we happened to be in the area. The food trailer is located on Barton Springs near S. Lamar across from Peter Pan mini golf. It's a prime location if you ask me. As we enjoyed our breakfast, I was surprised to see the consistent business they were getting and they operated like a well oiled machine. We didn't have to wait very long for our food at all. I ordered the Johnny, husband got the Gloria and the kid got the Bee Gee. The Johnny has potatoes, no eggs and all the other stuff. It was good. I tasted my husbands too and I think I enjoyed his even more. The eggs were cooked perfectly and it was a little lighter on the gravy which I preferred. The biscuits themselves were the slightly fluffy and not too dense. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast here and will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Wang T.

Yelp
bustin bustin (the aretha) real homey biscuits!!! the gravy? thick n creamy real gut buster type stuff

Russell T.

Yelp
The biscuits are pretty good but I guess it's bring your own coffee. How does a breakfast establishment not serve coffee, kinda hindered the experience

Amanda S.

Yelp
Love this food truck - always bring my friends from out of town and they LOVE it! It's great for whenever you don't want to go to an actual restaurant

Abraham G.

Yelp
I will give this place a 3/5. But rating it 5/5 to show love. I did have a bad experience here a while ago. So that's why I can't give it a a 3/5. But I really respect this guy being a small business owner and trying to keep up with the crowd and some of the negative reviews he's received on here. Knowing this place is kind of "self operated" just made me change my whole view on this truck. My order had got lost in their system and popped up as a grub hub order and it took 27 minutes but the owner gave me a free orange juice and did apologize for the wait. Plus it was a busy morning. People leave bad reviews on here being upset. Over not having coffee or something stupid. Please give this place a try and give it a honest review. Don't just post ur emotions on a review and rage on a small business.
