An influencer recommended this place on tik tok, but I'm not on popularity, more on integrity. It's disgusting to see a place ignore others & prefer ti give attention to those that speak their language as if everyone isn't spending money at this establishment. Some of us are on our lunch breaks & have traveled far based on the word of someone else. I wasted my time today, not to mention the fact that the food just looks picked over & at 1pm they're only offering pretty much fried Chicken as if that's the expectation. I'm over this have and will never be back

I had some fried chicken with potatoes from Bishr Poultry, and it was a delightful experience. The chicken was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor, making each bite a true delight. The accompanying potatoes complemented the dish perfectly. I highly recommend Bishr Poultry for their delicious fried chicken that leaves you craving more.

I've been buying their hot food here for years. Today I brought Some chicken and fries. It made me vomit. As soon as I was done, the faster it came up. I don't know what's going on with food here but they need to fix it. My first bad experience here.

I used tobe their regular customer, their customer service is being worst day by day instead getting better customer service,I ordered today my every month needs chicken by phone which I do always n I went there after 30 minutes,I waited in line 10 minutes and the guy who is in front he is picking up phone taking order at the same time giving people ordered chicken by phone who are on line ,he is trying to do two people job at the same time when more people on the other side he could call them to help him no he wanna show people how he fast in his work ,when I go to get my order I complained the guy that I am waiting here 5 minutes what’s the point to order by phone if I waited here,instead of saying sorry he got mad on me,he tried to snatch the paying machine from me to show his anger Alright my actions is now I am not going to your shop anymore bye bye

The food is amazing good service fast know what you want get what you need. Try the lamb, Rice, chicken, and samosas try everything they have because it's all good. don't forget the bread and get some drinks. It's not a lot of good parking.

Bishr Poultry & Food Center is a Family owned bussiness that has all the workers to be family members that actually care about they're name/products and they're customers and it's an amazing spot for fresh, high-quality halal food. Their commitment to freshness is unmatched--you can literally pick a live chicken, and they will slaughter, clean, and prepare it right in front of you. Nothing here is processed or frozen. It's always fresh, and you can taste the difference! The food is incredibly well-seasoned, mashallah, and the service is fantastic. Their prices are very cheap and fair, making this place a great choice for anyone looking for affordable yet high-quality halal options. They also have a grocery market inside with a variety of items, adding to the convenience. I come here all the time, but I felt they needed a review because they truly deserve the recognition. As you can see in the picture, I couldn't even wait to take a photo before digging in--the food is just that good! I highly recommend Bishr Poultry & Food Center to everyone. Mashallah, they're doing an amazing job!

I came because i heard they have the freshest chicken. I was not prepared to see the chicken get slaughtered, but i guess thats what you get when you want the freshest chicken. Overall, the chicken was really really good. I heard their fried chicken that they sell is top tier and i regret not getting a piece or two.

I went to Bishr's after seeing Mr Chimetime's review. I'm a fried chicken snob and I have been disappointed soooo many times here in Metro Detroit. Not this time. The fried chicken was moist and tasty. It was well seasoned. The fries were cold which is to be expected as everything is precooked and in heating trays. I believe that the chicken tastes really moist and fresh because the meat isn't frozen since it's a poultry market. The price was also very reasonable.

Great little shop to catch something quick to eat. There is always a line here which should demonstrate that its popular with locals. But dont fear as the line goes fast. Decent variety of chicken, fried shrimp, and ethnic inspired rice and various other dishes. The Buffalo chicken tenders are a good bet.

I USED to love their chicken. It doesn't taste the same at all. Very disappointed. They updated the store and it looks nice Maa shaa Allah but the food is a "No" for me. None of it was fresh even though I was there early. Wish they would go back to the old days

This place is a gem. I love the hot food counter and will often purchase an assortment of goodies to take for my work lunches later. As other reviewers have noted, the chicken is out of this world. Very flavorful and scrumptious! They also have great customer service, even when it's busy. You cannot go wrong coming here. The prices are very good and the food is even better!

Very good food, specially grill chicken. Price are very low. I will recommend everyone to at least try their fry chicken. Highly recommend

Hands down the freshest and best fried chicken you'll ever have. The food is always made fresh daily that's why I love going to this place and the price no one can beat. If your ever in the area you have to try it. They also have a grocery there so you can shop and grab a bite to eat.

I have heard good things about this place and decided to try them out today. Very good fried chicken and reasonably priced. Two legs, two thighs and some french fries, $5.00.

What a great deal! For 5 dollars, I got chicken strips, spaghetti and a drink. It was more than I could eat and it was very well seasoned. The barbeque chicken steps were even sprinkled with more spice and were very fresh and tender. Sometimes grocery store counters douse their dried out fried chicken in sauce to make them edible again, but not these. They were tender, the sauce was well soaked into the fried crust and they were very yummy. The spaghetti was interesting, to say the least. It had the look and texture of school cafeteria spaghetti but it is cooked with something like garam masala in the sauce. It kind of worked for me. The rest of the market was pretty clean and nice, with a huge variety of frozen halal convenience products. The produce was fresh and there were no fruit flies visible. Service was fast and the people were nice. I will definitely be back for the fresh food and great prices. It is carry out only.

Prices are great and food was delicious! Only probalem I had was that tHe chicken was kind of cold, but other than that the food was A1

They will over charge you the second you put your head down they are not the same people and waiting is another long story

I freaking love this place. Fresh chicken that you just cannot go wrong with. I'm actually surprised it only has 5 reviews. For like $3 bucks you can get 2 chicken pieces and rice. 3 bucks folks. That is what I'm taking about. I love food but realistically I can't be out here trying to eat at all these restaurants in Detroit without having to spend like $10-$20 dollars. I mean, it's also a timing thing- I'm often on the go. They also have bbq chicken, which is my personal favorite. Go for the samosas as well. Next time I'm going to try the fries. This place is QUICK and CHEAP, and more importantly you are getting GOOD food. Parking: They have parking on the side of the building. TIPS: Make sure to get the seasoning on top of everything! In the evening they sometimes don't put out BBQ chicken, so try and get there earlier.

Been going here for years, good food, great customer service, they always so nice an polite an the price is right! I highly recommend them to all my family an friends and co workers

Bishr Poultry & Food Center is a family owned Middle-Eastern (more specifically Yemeni) market located on the border of Detroit and Hamtramck. It's hard to not miss this place when driving along Conant, with its bright yellow awning and signage written in both English & Arabic. This market carries a wide range of spices, canned goods, Halal foods, offers a hot food bar, and has THE BEST rotisserie chicken around, take that Boston Market! Bishr Market's slow roasting spits produce some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G tasting chicken! Since poultry is their specialty, be sure to try any of their chicken (fried, grilled, broiled, etc) for a fantastic meal. Part of the reason the poultry here is top notch is the fact that they use FRESH (yes you can hear them clucking in the back) Amish chickens, which adds to the quality of the meat. Also, Bishr's hot food bar serves up some tasty Yemeni food!!! There isn't a sit down area (you place your 'take-out' order at the counter), so be sure pick up some roasted chicken, samosas, basmati rice (with almond slivers), saffron rice (my fav), an okra/tomato side dish (deeelish), and other Yemeni dishes that are flavorful, aromatic, and all around fantastic! Another plus, the prices here are extreeeeeemely reasonable. For 4 people, we usually order 2 boxes of rice (basmati and saffron), 2 boxes of chicken (roasted & fried), veggies, hummus, and a couple samosas, ALL for $20 - no joke!

It does not get any better than Bishr! Freshly slaughtered chickens for sale in the back...never frozen. You know its fresh when your bird is still warm Fried chicken grilled chicken, chicken strips lamb shanks salads and spaghetti. I have been coming here since 2000, it has never left me disappointed. If your are looking for a high quality lunch for yourself or dinner to bring home to your family come here.

I love this place! Prices are cheaper than anywhere else that I typically frequent, and the fried chicken is extremely tasty. They slaughter the chicken in the back so you know its some of the highest quality around. Grab some yellow rice and tabbouli for an excellent meal for about 5 bucks. They have a wall fridge full of beverages, including my favorite ginger beer to wash it down. No seating though, carry out only. Give this a try!

It's not what it used to be. The customer service has become extremely crappy since the old staff left. They're rude and dismissive to customers. There are better shops in the area in regards to the service. The store used to have a variety of items. Now the only reason to go inside is the chicken and a drink. Otherwise for fruits and vegetables and other stores have a better selection and better looking. Until management gives a care to go back to the way it was. Don't bother unless you are in a very very very tight pinch. You'll be happier and the other store will probably treat you more like a valued customer. customer.

City worker here absolutely loved going here! Cheap food. Food is ok , it's really the seasoning that make it boom! BUT it pains my to say, I saw a roach crawling on the plexiglass where all the money notes are taped. I've often wondered about their sanitary practices, though it's seemingly always clean I've otfen witnessed the workers do some questionable things , as well as the horrible smell that sometimes comes from the back the likes of which I've chosen to ignore do to the smell of the chicken but after seeing that roach I couldn't see myself going back , at least not for the fresh food . To anyone affiliated with the store, know that I have a love for this place BUT please to something about the roaches .

Wide variety of hot food. Their yellow rice is a must try's they also serve some badass fried chicken. Their spaghetti good too.

The chicken is so tender and juicy it falls right off the bone. Their seasoning is addictive, it's sooooo good. The rice is delicious and goes great with the chicken. I highly recommend this place!

Locals fill this place every day. The hot food counter is one of my favorites places to eat. Samosas, chicken tenders, fire grilled chickens and more.It is cheap and delicious. Get the spice sprinkled on things.

I love their fried chicken and their meat samosa is also so delicious. High quality tasty meals and very reasonable prices, you should definitely try some of Bisher's Chicken sooner than later.
