The Best Chicago Bars for Happy Hour Cocktails | Eater Chicago

"In an area rife with restaurants, this standalone French-inspired bar from veteran Chicago bartender Peter Vestinos (Sepia, The Betty, Sparrow) is a welcome addition. Location aside, Bisous’s charming interior design and expertly made cocktails are the reason you are here. Stop by at happy hour, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, for $10 glasses of wine and select cocktails, as well as $8 beer and $7 cider. The truffle parmesan popcorn is on the house." - Lisa Shames

Chicago’s best bars and breweries for cocktails and beer | Eater Chicago

"1960s Parisian vibes provide the backbone for this newish cocktail bar in Fulton Market from Footman Hospitality, the local group behind spots like Bangers & Lace and Emporium Arcade Bar. A moody, low-lit space devoted almost entirely to drinks, it specializes in popular cocktails from the era, like martinis, highballs, and aromatized wines. There’s also a mostly French wine list (it’s heavy on sparklers and Champagne) and a solid lineup of natural wines." - Ashok Selvam

Have been here twice for cocktails before dinner elsewhere and they do not disappoint! The best Sazerac I've had anywhere, including NOLA...the Last Known Whereabouts was so lovely. Herbal and subtle --refreshing! They know their stuff. The vibe is great! Love the bar stools--comfy, and the decor overall 🥖 French 60s chic. The staff is great! Will keep coming back!!

Google
The cutest bar for a girls night! My girlfriends and I stopped here after dinner for a drink. We waited for maybe 15 mins before we were seated. The bouncers and staff were all very friendly. The seating is very limited + tight but that’s too be expected from a small bar. The martini was good but STRONG (hah! no complaints). My friends also really enjoyed their cocktails. The ambiance for a Friday night was very lively and busy. I think it would be a great spot for a weeknight date night, but can’t wait to go back again!

Google
WOW!!! Y’all know this place is super amazing and I’m here to tell you even more about it. Bartender Hannah is the best of the best. She is a talented mixologist and is literally winning competitions for this. If you go here, it’s to try her drinks (as well as the other talented bartenders on staff). But seriously… too good. The best thing about Hannah is she LOVES when you don’t know what to drink. She’ll always happily decide for you and will not disappoint. 😍 Get the cocktails. Don’t skimp and get wine. That’s not why they’re here. They have a creative list of martinis, highballs, margaritas and everything else. Of course their spirit list is unmatched (at least in Fulton Market). If you DO have to get wine, their list is extensive and you’ll absolutely be able to get something you’ll love. Have dinner before you get there or you’ll be hella drunk 😂 They only serve snacks (popcorn, charcuterie, etc.). Til next time Bisous! 💋💋💋

Google
Bisous is more than a bar—it’s a whole mood. The cocktails are clever and bold, but it’s the atmosphere that really steals the show. Dim lights, intimate corners, and a vibe that feels effortlessly cool. You don’t just grab a drink here—you sink into the experience.

Google
Great first experience at Bisous. Really relaxed environment that also feels welcoming and brings a nice mood. We went before dinner so it wasn’t too busy. They had some great booths along the way that were mostly filled but we decided for the bar. Bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable. The old fashioned style drink was amazing and so was the food we enjoyed. Strongly recommend. My goal is check out late night as I’m guessing a totally different vibe.

Google
Really enjoyed the space overall, tables were unfortunately very on top of each other in some sections. Menu had a mix of very classic cocktails and a few one-off twists. Wasn't blown away but also didn't have any complaints. Be prepared for the downtown cocktail prices.

Google
This bar reminds me a lot of Sparrow. Intimate vibes and great for a date night spot, but the tables are really close together. I would not recommend for a large group. I got the Airmail cocktail, which didn’t seem like anything special. Presentation was plain and the drink was okay, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say I should’ve ordered a different drink. No reservations, walk-ins only. I would come back to try something else next time!

I love love this place. Great cocktails! Loved the chicken liver mousse! The place is very well decorated, even the toilet is sooo cute! Friendly staff!

Yelp
First, let me say the hostess was definitely one of the best parts of this cocktail bar, she surely enjoys her job and has great energy! My best friend and I came here to have a few cocktails before our dinner and I absolutely loved the vibe in here! Although it was sort of noisy, you didn't notice it much! I think the vibe works well if you're looking for a social atmosphere for your party. We both ordered the Pink Squirrel, which was so delicious! It was like a milkshake that wasn't super thick! Needless to say, after two Pink Squirrels I definitely felt a buzz and that doesn't happen for me often with cocktails! This is such a cute place to start your night, chat, have some light bites and just chill (socially)!

Yelp
Bisous, or "kisses" in french, is located in the Fulton Market area and opened about a year ago. The inside is very intimate, dimly lit, and has an old-world/classic feel to it. They focus on drinks more than food but also offer a weekday happy hour. My fiancé and I stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and loved it! Our server knew the menu well, made great recommendations, listened to us to help elevate our experience, and stayed on top of grabbing our check since we mentioned we only stopped by for one drink. We ordered the Reverse & Reel to Reel. She mentioned the Reverse was the lowest abv martini on the list but the flavor was bright and fresh having multiple flavors mixed. I loved my Reel to Reel as it was fruity and frothy. We both loved our experience and would definitely come back to try new seasonal signature cocktails! Tip: Its the sister spot to Sparrow in Gold Coast

Yelp
Charming little cocktail bar in Fulton market. It is such a classy elegant vibe and everything is just perfect, from the decor, drinks, bartenders. This is martini bar and I was recommended the Tuxedo no 21. It was the best martini I ever had, very smooth with a hint of sweetness from the maraschino. As a solo guest, the staffs even cover my drink and water when I stepped away to the bathroom! Highly highly recommend checking this place out. I would 10000% return for the vibe and tuxedo. I wish LA would have a cocktail bar like Bisous!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my new favorite cocktail bars in the city! Whoever designed Bisous knew what they were doing. The interior has so many beautiful details, artwork, and a lot of space for a cocktail bar. Though drinks are not cheap (as expected at a nice bar in the city), they have an extensive, well-rounded menu that made deciding what to get difficult and made me want to come back to try more. I got the reel to reel and it was delicious! I also love that they have a whole list of different types of martinis. The details here are what set it apart for me - coasters, postcards, and matchbooks are always appreciated. Really great service too. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Loved coming to this bar with a couple of friends. Bisous is the sister bar of Sparrow in Gold Coast and inspired by 1960s Paris. I loved the French Seventy Five and Pink Squirrel cocktails and they have a wide selection of martinis as well. We also got the chicken liver mousse from the snacks menu to nibble on and it was a great accompaniment to the drinks. Will definitely come back but expect a wait on a weekend night. We waited about 30 min for a table of 3 around 9pm.

Yelp
Our first stop on a Chicago bar crawl. Such a great spot. We came here with a large party of 30, preplanned. The staff and location were excellent. We sat in the back area and ordered drinks plus small appetizers which was perfect. They have a large variety of spirits to choose from. I wanted something with rum and was introduced to a Classic cocktail called Airmail based on rum, lime or lemon juice, honey, and sparkling wine. So good! A perfect place to start the night's festivities. It's down the street from the Emily hotel.

Yelp
Big fan of Bisous! Saw an article about this place earlier this year in the Eater and had a neighbor that said this was her favorite cocktail joint so it was only fitting that we came here for her going away gathering this past summer. We got a seat near the back and it was a good time. First off, I love the classic, speakeasy/cocktail lounge vibe as they have all the good spirits behind the bar and chill atmosphere. I recently introduced a friend to this joint and she loved it. Good drinks on the menu! I love the following: One Trick Pony - Dark Rum & Brandy cocktail that includes banana liqueur and vermouth...outstanding! Almost Rich & Almost Famous - mezcal, saffron & campari cocktail with lots of ice...decent Pink Squirrel - Rum Cream cocktail blended with almond and cocoa. Looks a bit girly but its good as hell lol! Sexy lil joint over in Fulton Market! Take ya significant, good friends or colleagues to enjoy a good joint!

Yelp
Cute cocktail bar. Would be a great date spot, but probably better to save for the weekdays because there can be quite a wait on weekends. It would be helpful if they took reservations. I thought the service was good, prompt but not overwhelming. I thought the cocktails I tried were good, but nothing groundbreaking for me. The main one I got was the air mail. I would be open to going back, and I think the highlight of the place is definitely the ambience.

Yelp
No food was available when I got there but the vibes are great. This is the perfect place for a pre or post date/dinner cocktail. It's very sexy in there. Service was good. Our waiter Everan was so quick, too quick! Haha he saw my drink was empty and said "my friend, you're empty, refill?" And got me together I got the One Trick Pony which was like an old fashioned but much milder in taste but still spirit forward. I loved it. I really wanted to try Ten to One rum and this was a great introduction. My friend had the Rose Blanche which was delicious. Tasted like an Arnold Palmer but it was so much foam, and that was weird. I also had the Airmail which was delicious but the glass was so tiny it was like a sip but good if you want a sweet drink!
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
My expectations were way too high. Julia Momose of kumiko fame stated via instagram that this was the best new bar. Secondly the hostess alleged that this was one of the best places to get drinks. Neither opinion can be further from the truth. The drink weren't flavor forward & honestly tasted like your run of the mill drinks. Prices are moderate & theres no reservations so be prepared to freeze while in line or at the standby tables inside while the staff seat the friends while you wait.

Yelp
I'm so obsessed. I need to come back again and again. Service was pretty slow, but vibes and drinks were amazing. The cutest place, big space! I got the pink squirrel, and this was one of the best cocktails I have had. Sooo light and the flavor is amazing. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I had such a grand time here! We stopped in for drinks on a Saturday evening and the ambiance was incredible. It's a small spot but they've managed to create great seating spaces that don't feel too crowded. On our Saturday night, they checked ID's at the door and the hostess seated us. The hostess was so kind and welcoming - it felt like you were welcomed to a friend's house! We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. They mainly serve drinks including cocktails (2 non-alc), beer and wine. Although it seems like they serve a full menu of food here, they don't! They only have light bar snacks and caviar services. It's a great spot post-dinner! For drinks, I got the favorite Pink Squirrel which reminded me of strawberry milk. It was very delicious and I recommend it if you love your drinks sweet. My partner got the Olivette - they have a handful of Martini drinks so if you love Martinis, this spot is for you! Overall, love the vibes, service, and drinks. Looking forward to coming back to try more!

Yelp
Super cute cocktail bar with the coziest vibes and nicest bartenders! Was looking for a post-work spot to grab a drink w my coworker around 10:30 pm and luckily Bisous was open to save the day! The interior is very cozy with the gorgeous circular booths, and the crowd on a Monday night was sparser but still lively. Their menu is fun and has a mix of classics and Bisous signatures. I got the Pink Squirrel while my coworker got the One Trick Pony. The Pink Squirrel was sweet and delicious- like drinking a boozy almond milkshake! I've never had one before, and I'm a creamy drink lover so I was super happy. The presentation was also gorgeous. I also tried a sip of the One Trick Pony too which was very spirit forward with a nice smoothness from the banana. Prices were also reasonable, and I could see this spot becoming a favorite if I lived here. Overall a super cute spot for drinks, and would definitely come back if I was in town again!
google avatar

Bhavya J.

Yelp
Really cute cocktail bar! Went with a friend and we were seated at the bar but they also have booths for larger groups. The drinks were unique and all well made. The pink squirrel tasted like a milkshake!
google avatar

Deamontria R.

Yelp
It was girls night out so came here to look cute and get a drinky drink. Upon walking up it was so cute and intimate. Loved the ambiance. We were seated quickly and served just as quick. Our server was friendly and brought us all our drinks which were delightful. Loved it here and will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Bisous a super chic bar in Fulton's Market - a few door down from Blind Barber and Rosemary. It has a French bistro vibe that completely creates a unique vibe due to deemed lights. I came by during a night out with one of my girlfriends and the bartenders were super fun. One took care of getting us settled at the bar and provided some recommendation while one of the other bartenders made our drinks. The staff behind the bar were super friendly and they each ensure we were well taken care of. We both settled on the Pink Squirrel - to me it tasted like a refined version of an espresso martini. Truly enjoyed! I woud definitely recommend for a date night or a girl night while in Fultons Market. Check them out!
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
A lovely, quant, and cozy cocktail bar. High quality and thoughtful cocktails that taste amazing. I recommend this place for any date night or nightcap drink. No drinks are bad but definitely work with the staff to find which drink will be right for you.
google avatar

Pa Zao L.

Yelp
We went on a Friday evening and waited 10-15 minutes for a group of four people which wasn't bad. All staff were so fun and personable. Good vibes all around. Very cute decor and more spacious than I anticipated compared to what I could see when waiting outside. The music level is good - I could still have a conversation with my friends. The drinks are strong here, making your money's worth. I'm already a lightweight but nonetheless drinks are very tasty. My group ordered the French 75, Martinez, and Reverse. I ordered the French 75 and Reverse. The French 75 is light. The Reverse was too strong for me - probably because of the sake. I'll be ordering the French 75 again on my next visit.

Yelp
I believe this is a newer establishment in the West Loop area (as the West Loop continues to further expand more west). There was about a 5-10 minute wait when we got there which we were totally fine about. The nice thing is the doorman/bouncer was actually super friendly and gave us great energy from the start as we waited in line. Once we were seated even the lady who sat us was super super friendly. Our server was nice but nothing more than that. Didn't really affect our time there, but she was the least conversational out of anyone else. We ordered a cocktail each and both really liked ours. This is a great spot for any occasion quite honestly. I love the "French" themes and how it's all related to "kisses".
google avatar

Pilar G.

Yelp
Gave this place another try and had an absolutely amazing time thanks to the wonderful staff and manager. Since opening, Bisous has totally refined their beverages and service. Everything here is top notch. This is a great spot for drinks with a friend or a romantic evening. The vibe here was great-- it was busy yet intimate and perfect for an early Friday night. We ordered a variety of cocktails off of their menu and enjoyed every one. I especially enjoyed the signature Paloma. The pink squirrel was deliciously creamy and unique! These drinks were innovative and unlike other cocktail bars I've been too. I also enjoyed the small bites menu here. We tried the bonbons. These are made in house and rotate through a variety of flavors. Ours were cherry, chocolate, and hazelnut. Delicious!
google avatar

Sayuri A.

Yelp
i came to Bisous based on a friend's recommendation for happy hour and it was lovely. i've been wanting to try more martinis, and this was just place to go as they have a specific portion on their menu just for martinis! i tried the 50/50 martini from the happy hour menu and it was delicious; it's pretty lemon-y and dry. they serve complimentary truffle parmesan popcorn during happy hour too which was cool and i wish more places did things like that! the popcorn isn't anything to write home about but it is free! the bartenders are really nice but not overly conversational so you can just yap away at the bar & it was pretty full but not packed on a thursday night. the interior is gorgeous and romantic; dim lighting and just feels very comforting but in an elevated way. it's pretty much just what you expect/want from a Fulton market cocktail bar, except huge bonus points because the HH prices are pretty unbeatable. i'd definitely recommend this spot!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Great spot. Stopped by for a night cap on a Saturday around 1am. 10 minute wait. Good selection of drinks and great vibe.
google avatar

Denise G.

Yelp
Also love a cocktail or 4 or this great spot in the Fulton Market district area. Cocktails are delicious and well-balanced, service is always excellent. Cozy but lively spot for some post dinner libations.
google avatar

Krupa S.

Yelp
My husband and I love Bisous. It's an amazing date spot. The mood is set with the dim lighting and the decor. The cocktails are delicious and a must try, they have options for all drink lovers. Definitely an amazing pre or post dinner drink spot. Highly highly recommend checking out if you havent done so already!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Popped in Bisous while in Fulton Market and was surprised to have found this hidden gem. Service was very friendly, the ambiance is what I described as sexy-upscale cocktail bar, and my favorite is minimal noise levels (you can actually hear the waiter speak), all with a decent amount of cocktail, wine, and spirit menu options. I settled on the Cazenave 'Bel a Ciao' Semillon Bordeaux which was light and refreshing for a night cap. I was told by other customers that I should return for Happy Hour. I will be back!
google avatar

Nicole C.

Yelp
I tried the pink squirrel drink and it was so yummy! I asked for something sweet and the bartender told me to just blindly trust in him. He did not disappoint! I really enjoyed the drink, it tasted like a smoothie with the consistency. The other drink we tried was the reverse, the middle one in the pic which felt a little too strong for me. Ambiance is so cute! Definitely a romantic atmosphere and a great place to stop by for a drink with friends or a date!
google avatar

Snehal D.

Yelp
Drinks were nice. We got the pink squirrel, long distance call and reel to reel. 1st 2 drinks are recommended! Ambiance is nice but would not recommend food.
google avatar

Clara S.

Yelp
Such a cute and intimate cocktail lounge! Loved stopping by here - there was a short line on this Thursday night though it went quickly. Great drinks and ambiance overall. Dimly lit and noise level is standard - not quiet but not super loud either.

Yelp
Bisous is an outstanding addition to the Fulton Market/West Loop area of Chicago. My husband and I stopped by around 7:30pm on a Friday evening. I was initially worried that there would be a long wait when I saw a small group of people waiting outside the bar. After speaking to the outside host, he assured us that there likely wouldn't be a wait for a table of two people. After he checked inside, we were seated right away. Larger groups of people may have a bit of a wait for a table here. The bar was much bigger than I expected. There is a main seating area and then another section off the back. The decor is beautiful! I also loved the dark and romantic vibes. I normally don't gravitate towards martini's, but I was very intrigued by their martini menu. I ordered the Aristocrat ( Aged Aquavit, Apple Brandy, Oloroso Sherry, Cap Corse Blanc). This martini grew on me and I loved the multi-layered flavors. We both also ordered the Norwegian Wood cocktail (Apple Brandy, Scotch, Pommeau de Normandie, Maraschino). I loved the flavors from this cocktail as well. The service, cocktails, and atmosphere helped make this a memorable experience. I look forward to coming back again soon.
google avatar

Ariel S.

Yelp
Love the vibes here, one of my favorite cocktail bars in Chicago. The bouncer and hostess are lovely and the menu has lots to offer. They paid attention to the small details like branded coasters and postcards with the check and coat/purse hooks in the bathrooms and booths. I'd recommend for friend groups of 4 or date night!
google avatar

Monica N.

Yelp
Loved coming here for a nightcap! The place is gorgeous and has this old school vibe but yet still modern. The chairs we sat in were so comfortable and each table was separated just enough that you really felt like you had your own space. We didn't get a chance to try the food. We grabbed their French 75, pink squirrel, and an espresso martini. All them were made to perfection! Our favorite ended up being the Pink Squirrel which I normally wouldn't go for because it of it being a "sweet drink" but it most definitely was not obnoxiously sweet. I can't wait to come back here!
google avatar

Kristina G.

Yelp
Super cute ambience & does have the feel of a Parisian style bistro/brasserie. Love the dark + moody style, and the drinks were really good! It's definitely pricey, but to be expected for the area and being in the city.
google avatar

Michiel D.

Yelp
Bisous is a wonderful, trendy bar in Fulton Market. Expect a bit of a line when going on a Friday night (around the 8pm time frame at least), but once you're inside the wait pays off: super friendly staff, very helpful in making your next drinks choice, and cosy interior bringing it all together. Their wine list is impressive and a tad funky, matching the vibe perfectly. A perfect spot to bring a date, catch up with a friend or meet new people.
google avatar

Grant A.

Yelp
Came by on Thursday night. Esquire article ranking got me in the door. The best bars in 2024 list. Went with the freezer Martini. Not my favorite variation on the Martini that would be the Vesper. Their martini is cold, refreshing. Bar had other patrons but it wasn't an overwhelming amount of folks I had to jostle against at the bar which I appreciate.
google avatar

Monica P.

Yelp
Absolutely impecable cocktail lounge with excellent service, gorgeous ambiance, and delicious drinks. Ask to sit in the lounge for a French Cafe feel. Alex (our server) was delightful. The hostess was equally warm and so welcoming. 10/10!!
google avatar

Ellie K.

Yelp
Pink squirrel was 10/10! All other drinks we tried were good too! Great service, fun drinks, good value! This is a lovely spot and I am so glad they opened in West Loop. Wish they had more food options but that would make the turnover slower and wait worse. Great place to grab drinks before or after dinner (:
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
Great speakeasy cocktail bar! Went in for a couple drinks after dinner in the west loop. We sat at the bar, no reservations so get there early on a Friday or Saturday. It's the sister bar to Sparrow in Gold Coast. Floral wall paper, dim lighting and cozy booths for a date night or girls night out. Many cocktail options, bartenders are happy to customize if looking for something in particular. Will return!
google avatar

Samyukta S.

Yelp
Bisous is a lovely cocktail bar with a sexy, intimate vibe and a French inspired design. Gorgeous bar and seating. Service was good and the decor is absolutely something to admire and appreciate, hence the 3 stars. Unfortunately the drinks left a lot to be desired: - almost RICH & almost FAMOUS - I was excited to try this mezcal based drink, especially because it incorporated saffron. However, I think they may have put too much Campari in it because that is all I could taste. Couldn't taste or appreciate any of the other flavors. - Agricole Daiquiri - my friend ordered this and literally could not drink it. It was overwhelmingly tart; she had to send it back. The Pink Squirrel and the French 75 were better, but nothing to write home about. Not my top choice for cocktails in Chicago, there are too many better options to explore.
google avatar

Athena B.

Yelp
Love the vibes in here. Never a super long wait to get a table. Such a great spot for a night out with the girls, not too loud so you can still talk, and delicious cocktails! The bartenders also make drinks off menu so you'll definitely find something you like here!
google avatar

Paige D.

Yelp
Bisous is a new favorite, been here two nights in a row and can't get enough! Walk in only, no reservations. Ambiance is cool, inviting and seating is comfortable. Service was great from start to end. The cocktails are amazing! Our favorites were the tuxedo, the freezer martini, and the reverse. All were so unique and delicious. They have a few snack items, we enjoyed the marinated olives and manchego to go with our cocktails. Open until 2-3am depending on the day. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.
google avatar

Chloe M.

Yelp
Great drinks and service! I would definitely recommend. My boyfriend and I visited from out of town and came here after dinner on my birthday. The atmosphere was romantic, the tables were intimate, and the drinks were wonderful.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Loved this place! So cute in there. Great service and a nice little cocktail bar to pop in while you are in west loop. I've gone twice in the last week. Prices are pretty fair and loved the olives for a small snack. Will be back again

Yelp
Came in for drinks last night. I'll share my only beef first--our seating location happened to be below a vent so cold one of us kept their jackets ON. (Management eventually turned off what felt like A/C for about an hour of our 90-minute visit.) The drinks? Fantastic. I personally tried the mezcal drink (I believe called Almost Rich, Almost Famous) and a sidecar, both of which were mixed well, not too sweet, and boozy. As someone who drinks at a city bar a couple times a week, I am shocked nowadays when I both pay for alcohol and get alcohol in my cocktails. No, I'm not kidding. I have raised this with management at a lot of establishments around Chicago. Prices keep rising, but it feels like I have my normal two- or three-drink run and leave without even a buzz. This is why I gravitate more and more towards spots like Queen Mary; I'll give you $17 for a drink, BUT PUT SOME FREAKIN' BOOZE IN IT! (Why are N/A cocktails priced the same way? I'll attack this one in another review.) I like the space at Bisous, but the street presence is quite poor. In fact, both my group and another group walked past Bisous before turning around and going in, which was really funny because I had Google Maps open when I was walking towards the front door. It just looks plain from the outside, and even though there was plenty of space inside, the way the bouncer made us wait or look for our party from the outside of the bar to find them (???) wasn't exactly the warm and fuzzy people will look for. Some of this will be smoothed out over time, since Bisous just opened. I'm excited to start or finish nights here when it warms up a bit.

Yelp
Love it! Bisous is great. Beautiful French inspired interior design, nice addition to West Loop. Can you put one in Wicker Park? Please! Plenty of vacant spots on North Ave. I used to live near Sparrow and love that bar! This new spot from them is next level. Glad they kept the wallpaper ceiling vibe. Beautiful bar, awesome millwork, tile, and paint colors all on point. Loved the booths with velvet and pattern! Really sharp, and the bar area is stunning. Perfect lighting too and the music/sound system was really good. Cocktail list is nice as were the olives! Especially loved the service. Our server was top notch and very personable as well as knowledgeable. They offer various tinned fish and caviar on the menu too if you're into that! Seems to be the thing lately. Pleasantly surprised by this new spot and if you love Sparrow you will love this just as well. Cheers Bisous! Thank you

Yelp
I visited Bisous many times and have had. Wonderful experience from other staff such as the bartender Julio. But on this specific friday night January 24 around 1:15. When we walked in security mentioned last call and I work in the hospitality industry in Fulton market so I totally understand how it is during last call . I was served by the manger Chris. We walked in and they told us it was last call so I was prepared to buy one drink and pay immediately. The entire time I was in the establishment he ignored me when I was trying to give him my credit card and was angry when we even ordered a drinks. I have worked in the hospitality industry over ten years and have never been treated like such an unwanted person even though I am a paying guest. I have visited Bisous many times and I also tell many people to visit Bisous because it is such a wonderful bar and all the workers are extremely nice and respectful. Chris is not the type of person you want to be a manager and running a hospitality business. He treated my guests and I with extreme disrespect and I will never visit or tell people to come there due to the vibes that Chris gives off in the establishment. In the hospitality industry you treat people with respect and you should make every guest feel welcome regardless of the time that they let you in. If the manger does not want to serve you or have any more guests in the establishment then they should not be letting people in. Instead of disrespecting paying guests and treating them like they don't matter. If you want to run a good business you need people who know how to treat people hospitable no matter how they are feeling. The guest comes first. At Bisous Chris will treat you like you should not be there. I would think twice about having a person like that in charge of your business when I have always enjoyed this establishment and sent many customers there. I have to give a one star because it won't let me give a zero star. If you want to be disrespected go to Bisous and the manger Chris will give you a terrible time. If you don't like your job then quit Chris, but don't give terrible energy to guests who are coming to spend money in the restaurant and tip the bartenders nicely who treat everyone with respect. Chris should not be a manager or in charge of such a lovely restaurant.

Yelp
Came to the city to enjoy a lovely weekend getaway with my friends and randomly ended up here. It was so nice and laid back. I really enjoyed it. We got the French seventy-five and the pink squirrel and both were so delicious. The pink squirrel might be my favorite because it's sweet and reminds me of a frappe. Service was amazing and fast. Really enjoyed my accidental visit and would definitely return.

Yelp
From the same team as Sparrow comes another beautiful, elegant bar with fantastic cocktails, spirit list, and hospitality. I happened to be in town and popped in on day 6 and it was hard to believe they'd just opened. The drinks are perfect to my palate -- I need to come back. I had the L'Jardine (freezer) martini, the Olivette, and the Vieux Carre. The Vieux Carre absolutely blew my mind. I thought long and hard about the Pink Squirrel, but decided on the Olivette. The concept leans French, and there's a healthy Venn with Sparrow there because they can interplay Martinique rhum agricole and armagnac! Also they have some ability to make Sparrow's drinks, like the Sparrow daiquiri (which I think is one of the best daiquiris anywhere). Very difficult to find US cocktail bars that can really lean into the Armagnac side, and it'll be great to see how they develop that part of the program over time. For now, the starting list is I think very thoughtful. I have to come back. See photos for more narrative. The room is very nice; more spacious than Sparrow and beautifully lit. I didn't take any pictures of it though.

Yelp
Thank you for your response and for your kind offer to refund me the 3%. The offer is not necessary; as I said, I have no problem with the charge. I do appreciate your stated intention to make it more obvious to customers that it will be applied. Ideally, perhaps it would be spoken out loud by staff when payment is requested. ‍ And I appreciate you clarifying for me the required tax rates in Loop West.

Yelp
We visited Bisous for a night cap after dinner, and impressed is an understatement. The staff was so kind, helping us find seats so we didn't have to wait in the cold (they were packed -- always a good sign), explaining menu items, and more. While we didn't try food, drinks were tasty and beautifully presented (plus they had a good mix of sweet and more bitter options). The ambiance is what ultimate sells it. The design is so well thought out from moody colors to fun patterns and lights to the smell of the bar. 10/10 recommend.
