Bistro 1051

We recently visited Bistro 1051 for dinner. We were seated In the beautiful dining room and welcomed by our server. The owner Michael, stopped over to welcome us to the restaurant, and since it was our first visit, he recommended some of their best dishes. Everything we ordered from the sushi to the dessert was delicious. I highly recommend the Parmesan encrusted pork chop, one of the best pork chops I’ve ever eaten. Everything Is made with quality ingredients and beautifully prepared. The menu is varied with plenty for everyone. Our server, Jackie was impeccable. For anyone looking for a great evening out with friends this is a terrific spot. Highly recommended.

We had my son's high school graduation party at Bistro 1051, and I can't say enough good things about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely outstanding. First of all, the food was incredible—every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was truly top-notch. The entire staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and their warmth and hospitality did not go unnoticed. The private room was set up perfectly, and the atmosphere was just right for our celebration. Even though the owner, Mike, wasn’t there that afternoon, his team represented him flawlessly. This was an unforgettable day for our family, and we will absolutely be booking future events at Bistro 1051. Thank you for making such a special occasion even more memorable

I had my daughter‘s baby shower here today and it could not have been any better. The food was fantastic. The service was top-notch. Everything from the day I booked it up to today was seamless. Can’t wait to go back for dinner. Thank you for taking such good care of us all today. We will be back!

It’s been a while since my wife and I have been to this place but we figured we would give it a shot after a while. We weren’t thrilled with it last time we were there and this time we were pleasantly surprised. We both had the halibut special which came with corn risotto, it was delicious and we are very happy. It was a decent portion size and was cooked perfectly for dessert. We both had a cappuccino and asked for the toasted almond cake as well as tiramisu for dessert. Unfortunately they were out of the toasted almond cake, which seemed like a pattern as a waitress had told us they were out of several other items as well. A little disappointing, but from what we were told, they had several big parties earlier so understandable. We would definitely come back here again as they totally redeem themselves for the last time we were there. I’ll stand by my previous review about the ambience. I don’t understand why dance/club music is being played in an upscale restaurant. Would’ve been perfect with some type of Italian music like Frank Sinatra or even classical oldies music. We sat in the glassed in section and it was loud as the acoustics in there are rough. Either way we were very, very satisfied and recommend

It definitely had a good vibe, but the expanded area(not a main hall) was echoing noise so much. Flat bread was so good; a combination of prosciutto(salty but still), cheese, and dough was amazing. The other entrées were just okay...pasta had plenty of seafood, but watery sauce. The veal wasn't tender as expected. I would like to try again sometime in the near future.🙂

Delectable food!! The bread was amazing and served with a great oil and balsamic dipping tray as well as butter. The kobe beef skewers were delicious. Both the scallops with lobster risotto and the burrata ravioli with pesto were worth the wait. So good!! Will definitely be back again.

Nice, cozy atmosphere with ample seating. BYOB. Cool atrium room, also. Delicious food- both Italian and Sushi. Great stuffed mushrooms and awesome seafood linguini. Very friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommend.

Food is delicious. It's a very popular local restaurant. If you go at peak hrs, expect to wait. Wait to be seated, wait to be served, wait for food, wait to pay bill. So, because food never disappoints, and the staff are very nice...we either go for lunch or have an early dinner. I Recommend you make a reservation.

My last visit was in 2010! I chose a revisit with my sister and it did not disappoint. Service was good and food was excellent. There are enough choices, including their sushi menu. We had edamame, eggplant tower, prosciutto & cheese flatbread, and crab/avocado tower- all very good. BYOB and if you forget your bottle, there is a nice wine/liquor store within the same parking lot. A good stop in Clark.

We were a party of four on a Saturday. We had booked a table for lunch but there seemed to be several available tables. I like the ambiance there and it's easy to park which is a big plus. Our waitress had forgotten about us so it took some time before we could order. She must have been new. We ordered four meals, a plate of potatoes and an iced coffee. I had ordered the Clark Bowl with crab and brown rice. I must say it was excellent! She forgot about the coffee and we ended up leaving without it. If it hadn't been for the service on this day I would have given five stars.

4 stars for lunch, 3 for dinner. Lovely spot for lunch in Clark, NJ with a nice enough atmosphere for a business meeting or outing with friends. We ordered the flounder oreganata, which was lemony, fresh and had very tasty bread crumbs. Also ordered was the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was a high quality and very tasty. Both portions were generous and the waitress was lovely. I enjoyed lunch so much we returned for dinner. The seafood pasta was enjoyed, as was the veal saltimboca (my family wasn't as picky as I) but the stuffed shrimp was more breading than crab meat filling and the shrimp had an iodine taste. The waitress also kept coming over and interrupting people while they were chatting, which made the evening less enjoyable than it could've been. This didn't happen at lunch so it was waitress specific. All in all, I'll return for lunch and would happily have the flounder or salad but I'd skip the shrimp.

We've been here about 15 times. I like that there are myriad options for meals here. If I'm craving sushi but my wife wants an Italian-inspired salad, we're both happy with what's on the menu here @1051. Michael the owner is always visible & circulating around the restaurant. You can tell he cares about his place & the customers. It does get very loud in here as the acoustics appear to be amplified off the walls or glass ceiling. The food was very good & fresh. Some updating is needed with the tables as they are showing signs of excessive wear & there needs to be more care in making sure that the plates & utensils are up to Michael's level of cleanliness expectations. Jaclyn our waitress was responsive & courteous without being pushy. Everything food wise was as ordered. Always parking available in the lot. Love that it's still BYOB. This place always brings back memories of the Rice Bowl of my youth We'll be back because there's always something new I want to try here.

Just getting around to write a review now we were here a couple weeks ago. It was a bustling Saturday night lots of Christmas parties all day. We were there with a group of eight people. All of our dinners came out hot and delicious. All of the appetizers were wonderful, even though they were super crowded one would've advice. The glass room gets very loud when it's crowded to the point you have to scream to talk across the table. They definitely need to put some soundproofing.!

We went to your establishment tonight for the first time for an ugly sweater get-together for family and friends. We had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service was great. It was great that we were able to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy our dinner with. The night was full of good wholesome fun filled with lots of laughter. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy ourselves.

Great meal here recently! We went with a group of 10, had a reservation and seated timely. Service was ok. They are byob and liquor store in same parking lot. I had stuffed chicken parm (a special) which was cooked and seasoned well. A lot of people also enjoyed their seafoood options

We hosted our first Ugly Sweater at Bistro 1051. Not only did we have a great turn out, we had an amazing experience from Mike and staff. The owner was super accommodating at hosting our party of 25 ppl. Tables were already set up upon our arrival and the staff introduced themselves. Immediately following everyone's arrival, food and beverages started rolling out right on time! As it's BYOB, we were able to bring our own wine and beer and have it chilled in the provided iced buckets. The food was FANTASTIC! The meatballs were an absolute hit!! What allowed me to provide a 5 start review (really 10 star review) was when the kitchen and staff were super accommodating to the respective food allergies of a few of our patrons. They personally prepared our selective menu to accommodate restrictions of ingredients. We selective the top package which included an occasional cake which was also delicious!! We were able to sing happy birthday as well. The owner checked in several times to make sure everyone was good as well. We could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone had a blast!! The room was great too where we were able to put our Ugly Sweater backdrop for photo ops. I am a returning client of Bistro 1051 for large parties and date nights. Always a great time and great food! We've all had our experiences with less than perfect service at a restaurant, but what makes an establishment stand out is having an owner who thinks enough of his customers to make a call and apologize for what happened. Such is the case with a take out order I placed yesterday that fell through the cracks. As Mike explained, it was an innocent mistake on the part of an employee in having taken the order to begin with, as the restaurant was extremely busy with large parties. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in our town that serves such delicious food and is owned by a gentleman who appreciates every one of his customers. Restaurant is decorated very nicely. We were immediately seated. (We did have reservations). Our waitress was very nice and made great recommendations. We started with the grilled octopus which was delicious. Calamari was tender but crispy. Great flavor. Long hots with potatoes was awesome. Sushi roll ( Happy Roll). What a great combination (tuna, eel, avocado and banana) like a flavor explosion. Dinner consisted of Filet Mignon. Cooked perfectly. Grilled pork chop Giambotta. Delicious just slightly over cooked to my liking. And a Parmesan encrusted pork chop. Karyn's veal chop parmigiana!! Fantastic!! We experienced a little issue with one order( no need to discuss it) because it was rectified immediately. Great service. Desserts ( I think we tried them all) lol.. they were delicious also. Definitely will go back for the great food !!

Attended a family function here. Food was great and service was good. The atmosphere isn't the best and there is no view or anything great about the particular location. But definitely solid Italian food.

It was my husband's birthday and we came here for lunch. We ordered some avocado sushi to share. He ordered the burrata ravioli and I ordered the Kobe beef linguini. I saw other people's large portions and we were excited for our food. When my husband's food came, he literally only had four pieces of ravioli, some cheese shavings, and some cherry tomatoes. My husband was extremely upset. It tasted good but he went home starving and I had to cook him a meal. What we ordered was a dinner entree and not an appetizer. Was there some kind of confusion? Very disappointed :(

I've been here twice and ate outside both times. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. The menu is very expansive. They have a variety of Italian and seafood dishes plus sushi. All sushi and seafood dishes have always been fresh. The sushi is pretty good considering this isn't a sushi restaurant. The service was excellent both times. My favorite entrée was a fall special. It had large scallops cooked to perfection over butternut squash risotto. I ate this meal over a year ago, and I still think about it. The restaurant is a byob, so don't forget your wine!

I've gone multiple times and I've never been let down. The food is delicious every time, service is superior. The restaurant has a beautiful design and ambiance which i Highly recommend for everyone to experience- at least once.

We went to a graduation party at bistro in Clark we were very impressed. There was a couple other parties going on at the time. The food was delicious. The service was out of this world being there were so many people to attend to. Everyone was on the ball, taking care of table, taking care of food, making sure everybody got excellent service. The food came out hot and freshand everything tasted so good. We had such a wonderful time so many different dishes to try that I didn't know that they served there.

Hadn't been here in a while but definitely a great spot for dinner if you're celebrating with family. Food was delicious. Service was a bit slow but overall was a good meal. Pretty large menu and wide variety, so there's something for everyone!

First time here .. over an hour and 15 mins for entree's to arrive. Food was tasty and big portions however the service was just slowww overall Place wasnt full either for such slow service

Came here for my birthday celebration. Plenty of parking restaurant is located in a strip mall, very nice decorated place. For being a Monday they were pretty busy. It did take some time for us to put in our order, however after we did service was pretty smooth. We started with a couple appetizers all were very good. We all had different entrees, each of us were pretty happy with our choices. Two of my sons had the chicken Frances they said it was good just wish it wasn't so lemony. Finished off with some fried Oreos and bread pudding! Both were fantastic! Will definitely be back!

We thought the food was really good. It's a very tight and loud restaurant so the atmosphere is just OK but I would've gone back for the really great food. The problem is this restaurant charges 18% tip to every meal even if you're just two people like we were. I didn't think this was legal but it certainly not standard practice . In error. We tipped on the bill and wound up tipping 40%. Feels like a strategy on the part of the business Be aware and read the fine print

I had the penne vodka with prosciutto vodka cream sauce. Oh my goodness the best vodka sauce I ever had. I went for a lunch on a Wednesday and went back the very next day for an early dinner and ordered the same item. I also had ginger salad also a winner. I asked the owner, Mike if the sauce is home made and yes homemade. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Parking was not difficult during the times of my visits. I will be back.

Found a new favorite spot. Ordered 3 apps to share with a friend instead of entrees. Great idea, we noshed and chatted while drinking our own wine. Love a BYOB. Will def repeat for a late lunch /early dinner again

This place has an identity crisis. Not your typical Italian restaurant ( they added sushi to the menu as well). As soon as you walk in , it feels like diner was combined with small banquet hall. Service was not present. Tracy was not attentive and was just constantly talking with hostesses ( impossible to even ask for a water refill). Food was not bad - good flavor, but a touch too oily ( that's what earned this review a 2 stars). But presentation- worst I ever seen! Just see the picture of $45 risotto dish and judge for yourself. Salmon and octopus - presentation of your standard diner. Broken plates ‍ I would stay away from this place

Family and I enjoyed delicious cuisine at Bistro 1051!!! To celebrate my first day back at work after my knee surgery!!! Fried Calamari appetizer Surf & Turf- steak and shrimp Stuffed Porkchop Ika Salad Rainbow Roll Sushi Tiramisu!!! I am going to rave about my dish! Pumpkin ravioli and shrimp!!! It was a Symphony of flavors with each bite!! Loved it!! So amazing!!! Compliments to the Chef!! Jaclyn K. our Server was wonderful!! Friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about menu and offered recommendations!! Jaclyn-- I agree the Pumkpin ravioli and shrimp is now my favorite dish too!! Great service and food! I love how there are healthy options on the menu, I was able to enjoy eating out while being on a serious diet!

We hosted as repast for our Mother at Bistro 1051, in June of 2024. It was an easy process from making the reservation with the owner Mike Savvis, to the actual day of the repast. The food was delicious as expected, we've eaten there prior, and the service was very good. We had a party of about 60 and they really enjoyed the gathering. I'd recommend "1051" if you are just going for a meal or looking to have an event with a larger group of people.

BYOB Food and service both awesome. The shrimp and chorizo app was the best plate of the night!

Always an excellent meal at bistro! We had the special burrata with avocado and tomato on crostini as our appetizer which was delicious! We also had the fettuccine and shrimp and the shrimp had a charred taste to them which was different and enjoyable. We also had the chicken parm which is always delicious! To end the dinner we had their lava cake and Oreo ice cream pie. Everything was outstanding! The service was great and the inside is beautiful.

the restaurant had a drunk party with dining patrons in the same room. it was a major disappointment for my 14 year old who wanted to go here to have their birthday. had to leave before dessert due to the unappropreate nature of the drunk party. the owner unfortunately stated there was nothing they can do. we will explore alternate dining options in the future.

Always good food ! A lot of options , usually places that try to do different variety fail. They do everything well here. The place is dimly lit and can be loud when busy but so worth the visit and wait if there is one. Also byob which we love. We had 4 appetizers and an entree to share and only paired $100. As always will be back.

this place is awesome. I went last night with some friends we got seated right away although our whole party was not there the waitress Tracy was extremely nice and patient with us. and hubby really enjoyed his meal

We went to Bistro to celebrate the wife's birthday. The seating was later in the evening because of the holiday but they sat us early. Service was superb. The party was nine persons and everyone raved about their meals. The octopus appetizer is delicious, as were the Flatbreads and calamari apps. I got the seard scallops over lobster risotto. Would highly recommend putting this restaurant on the must-try list.

We ordered the Lexi's Veal Piccata tonight, the veal was so tender and delicious. We are reluctant to order veal because so many restaurants don't prepare it properly or use good veal and have a tendency to be tough, however this dish was absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth tender. My father was a butcher and we know good veal! The sauce and sides were just right. The Pear Endive salad is our favorite and the Fresh Tomato flatbread is perfect with it. Of course we cannot leave out our absolute favorite, dessert! Lemon Mascarpone Cake and Carrot Cake.

Great food and the portions are huge! Definitely recommend the flatbreads as an appetizer. Service is always solid.

Came here for a colleagues retirement celebration. Very elegant set up, we had a party of 11 and we were seated in the back area which was great so we don't disturb other diners. Appetizers came out hot and fresh. Entrees, not so hot. I ordered the Scallops Arogoste special. Scallops were seared well and fresh, the risotto was meh.. it came out warm like it had been sitting a while while the other dishes were being prepared. Lobster risotto, barely any lobster for $44.95. The service was great, our waitress was very sweet and had the patience of a saint. All in all, we had a great time and the food was a hit with all the ladies.

I feel compelled to update my review and verify that the owner/manager really does not wear his mask when he talks to tables. He pulls down his mask to talk to just about every single table from what we could see. The restaurant also seems to get very full (and loud) from my perspective so I'm not sure how safe those who are COVID-conscious would feel here. We made a reservation for a Saturday night and were asked to wait for our table for about fifteen minutes. That wouldn't have been so bad but then we waited two and a half hours for our food to come out. They had offered us salad as means of apology, without considering that three of us had already ordered salad and would be paying for it on the check. We declined. We ask the waiter if something can be done about the long wait we had and he assured us the manager would take care of it. Then we receive the check, and not a single thing was taken off or changed. The manager comes over to speak to us and proceeds to get into a full blown screaming argument with a friend of mine at our table in which the owner asks him if he "wants to take this outside." At the end of the day too, he just knocked $20 off of an almost $200 bill. Safe to say that customer service is not their strong suit and for that reason we will never be back. Two stars instead of one though because some of the food we had was enjoyable (the Horseradish Salmon in particular).

This restaurant is in a strip mall, indoor and outdoor seating. Great diverse menu. Everything from sushi to Italian fare . Good salads. This is a BYOB place which we prefer. There is a liquor store across the parking lot BTW! Great for lunch, and dinner, too. The servers are very attentive, keep watch if you need anything. It's bright with many windows in one area, and darker, more romantic on the other side of the restaurant. They also have a room to do banquets and events. I have always enjoyed the food there. Once we went for New Year's Eve with a large table of friends and it was a fun night out. Try it , I bet you will like it

I had my daughters 21st birthday party here and it did not disappoint. I loved that the menu had so much variety and I also loved that the weight staff was so attentive and. The ambience was nice everything was just great. it was a great experience. I'd definitely come back. The fact that it was BYOB helped tremendously with the bill. I came with several wine and champagne bottles. I'll be back soon to experience that huge menu!!!

Covid has me on this weird adventure where I try new places out in my area. Post Covid I was barely home so I never got a chance to explore restaurants around here. We tried Bistro on a whim AND BABY this is THE BEST RESTAURANT in my area! 5 stars is hard to get from me but this is deserving. I ordered dynamite shrimp flat bread and chicken penne with vodka sauce and it was the best decision I made. The food was absolutely delicious. Now I don't get quick to name a place top 5 off of one experience so I ordered again a month later and baby the food was still good!!!! I ordered with my brother and he loved his food. He had sushi and said it was delicious. Now I called to dine in recently and they weren't taking any more people for the night. So if you want to eat there call early to make a reservation. Can't wait to stop by again!

Bistro continues to have fresh and delicious food. From flatbread pizzas to salmon to sushi. Yes sushi! The first time we ate there I wasn't sure what to expect since there is sushi and Italian food but it's the perfect combo. The sushi is fresh and so good. We have all of our family dinners there now.
