A very lovely French restaurant. The taste of everything we ordered was great. Attention to the detail in each dish was commendable. The flavors were awesome. One must not miss to order the desserts. I loved the theatrical baked Alaska. Our servers - Anna and Wagner (sorry if I got the name wrong) were very attentive and helpful.

Unbelievable ! Best food I’ve had out in a long time. And the ice cream was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. I don’t even like ice cream usually. And the staff were very polite and attentive

We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary at Bistro Aix. They have a separate cosy room for small parties that worked perfectly for us. We were asked to choose 3 dishes from each category and the manager created a lovely looking printed menu which we sent to our guests in advance. It was important for the kitchen to know our choices before the event.The food was really tasty. The atmosphere matched the setting. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent and discreet. We enjoyed every minute of our celebration. Thank you George and the team!

Bistro Aix is a true gem in North London. The food was outstanding and authentically French. we enjoyed snails, foie gras, soupe de poisson, Iberico pork and desserts, each dish cooked to perfection. The décor and ambience were divine, with elegant touches that made the evening feel special, and the soft classical music in the background added to the charm. Service was warm and friendly; while it felt a little rushed towards closing, it didn’t take away from a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend.

Wow. You know when you eat in a restaurant and are already thinking of who to tell about it before you’ve even gotten out of the door… well this is that. Fantastic food, impeccable quality, but beyond that, (something which made the food taste even better), the service. George is a total credit to the restaurant. His charming manner and professionalism creates an experience rather than meal. It’s hard to find service this fantastic in local restaurants. What a pleasure to come across it. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, everything from the waxed floors to the artwork, so well thought out and intentional. From the attitudes of the staff, whom hold such respect for the restaurant, it is clear that the owner is not only lovely but clearly, more than knows what he is doing. PLEASE visit this place. It is SO worth it and we need to keep local restaurants as fantastic as this alive. Thankyou George and the team. We will be back… and so will our friends !

I celebrated my birthday at Bistro Aix and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The place had such a nice and cozy atmosphere with warm lighting, good music, and a really friendly stuff. Particularly George and Sasha were so kind and welcoming . They made the evening unforgettable! The food was fantastic! Every dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Thank you for this perfect evening to the lovely team. The food, atmosphere, and staff all came together to make my birthday dinner something I’ll never forget. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service.

Authentic French cuisine. We had the duck and filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked and qualitative! Service was quick and caring!

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, exquisite ambience. This is then backed up with lovely staff who take excellent care of you and are warm and welcoming. The food is perfection. Not a single dish had an issue, beautifully presented, excellently cooked, and sumptuously seasoned. Worth every penny for a special evening out. Loved it, thank you!

A great old-school French bistro where you can get an excellent traditional onion soup and steak frites. It's also a cosy place to sit, especially in Winter.

Firmly grounded in the classics of French Bistro cuisine, Aix is constantly reinventing itself. Cordon Bleu trained Chef Lynne Sanders worked with Alain Ducasse (very Mediterranean) and was private chef to A-list celebrities before founding this little gem in North London. Intimate, atmospheric, and seriously tasty. The wine list features a range of very good small winemakers from across France and Italy and is well worth exploring. Murals by Russian artist Genya Gritchin make for a rather unique experience on Topsfield Parade, N8...

I could judge Bistro Aix on the dull, loud-voiced idiot who was sat at a neighbouring table tiresomely boring his friends (and us) half to death. But that would probably be unfair. Unfortunately the service on the night was also quite disappointing. After being served by every member of staff at some point during the meal, we had great trouble getting the bill from any of them. It was near the end of the night and everyone seemed to be too busy preparing cutlery and so on for the next day. Also, why do wait staff bring the bill and then walk away for another 10 minutes? Do they think it takes that much time to remove a credit card from a wallet? Once the bill was paid, there was no sign of our waiter bringing the coats he had kindly stashed away for us on entering. So I had to go up and request those as well, and on leaving there was not so much as a goodbye, thanks for coming. French restaurant, British service, it seems. On the plus side the food was pretty good, if overpriced in my opinion. And call me old-fashioned, but after three courses I expect to feel full, and on this occasion I didn't. My duck breast was good if unremarkable, but the calamari was excellent. High marks for the ice cream which came with the profiteroles, as well. The dining room has a relaxed, seductively-lit atmosphere and is good for a romantic meal - just ask to be seated away from large groups when you book, perhaps, and wear bright clothing to remind the wait staff of your existence.

Love this place!!! Been coming for a few years as within walking distance and have absolutely never had a duff meal; a really nice feel to the place and good service, but the food... Aah the food! Proper French bistro fare, all to die for; fillet of beef Rossini and lamb shank daube my faves but hard to choose! Always packed so best to book, but go, it's great, very chilled, good Sunday lunch too

My husband and I went to Aix for our wedding anniversary and although the service was good the food was dreadful and probably the worst restaurant meal we ever had...and we have had quite a few..! They over-cooked the lamb so asked them to re-do it which they did with no problem. When we got the food back, my husband's lamb chops were completely raw in the middle and the potato gratin was stodgy, grey in colour and tasteless. We asked to have it redone again! and this time, received three of four pieces of lamb, which seemed to be the original chops just cut in half. They were overdone again. For a bill close to £100 (two courses and wine) this has to be the worst value for money ever!
