Bistro & Bar Ecke Frauenkirche

This is a great place for breakfast especially if the day is warm or mild. I'm in dresden for a few days and I'm staying in the main square. This place opens at 8.30 for breakfast. Service is great and the breakfast options are varied and reasonable. The coffee is strong and the large coffee with milk on side ( coffee con crema) is great value as its a large cup. I managed to nab an outside table most mornings around 9.30. The main man in the blue polo shirt who serves is very good - prompt and friendly.

Sat down for supper here tonight, our waiter was super friendly and helpful and patient. He spoke English really well. The burgers were excellent and the desserts were awesome! The price was great for what we consumed. Totally recommend!

Absolute joke of an establishment. Our waitress was extremely rude and didn’t want to pay any attention to us. Our waitress seemed to be very attentive to the local customers but maybe because we were foreigners she didn’t care to give us good service. We waited an hour for our food after ordering and still didn’t get the food! Asked for our food in takeaway boxes and still nothing… ended up leaving without the food and zero apologies from any of the staff for such abysmal, pathetic customer service. Not to mention, the place was not busy in the slightest. We were the only group inside the place so no excuses. Don’t bother with this place. I don’t know her name but the waitress had dark hair, some tattoos and big black stud earrings/spacers. Crack a smile next time you serve a customer maybe.

The service was nice and friendly. Very hospitable staff. The food was good, the beans, cooked potatoes from American breakfast were so tasty. Pancakes were a bit hard and powdery but overall it was a good breakfast. It's right across from the Church of our lady, it's a good location, too!!!

Food is pretty good. Really enjoyed the sweet potato fries and tomato soup. The cheeseburger is substantial and I liked the caramelized onion, though it is very different from burgers I have had in the US. The menu is a bit limited but typical for a bistro. I came here 8-2017 during the Dresden Festival. All other restaurants were full. We just want to rest so we had late dinner in this restaurant and sit outside. We had pasta and pizza and beer. The waitress service us very patience and friendly. The food not bad, but also not very special.

The best bar - cafe & restaurant in the city of Dresden. It’s in the center, opposite the Frauen Church. Connecting door to Hilton Hotel. I love this place for a coffee, drink every time I visit Dresden. ❤️❤️💚💚🧡🧡🙏🇩🇪🇹🇭🇨🇭🇲🇲⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😘

Cozy restaurant, attached to a hotel. We were there for coffee and lunch. Sat next to the window, and were presented with a well-stocked menu, with sufficient selection of snacks and beverages. It is nice for a brief stop and a quick bite.

We wanted a nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view. Luckily we were able to get outdoor seating here and it fit that agenda perfectly. Beer prices were reasonable and I had a nice Dunkel Weisse. My mom ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich. It did take awhile to come out. But the chicken was juicy and the bacon crispy. Not the cheapest meal, but adequate. Better food is nearby but when it's busy this place can work too.

There are two waitress here serving us tonight. I find them both equally rude and unprofessional. When my food came, she did not provide us with utensils. Asking for them, she gave my daughter and I a very nasty look. We additionally asked for an extra plate to share our meal. The other waitress came handing me a plate. She collected my unfinished plates without asking me whether I was finished or not. I find this very next thing very rude and annoying. We asked for the check and she asked if we were going to pay with cash. We said credit. She asked for my credit card before showing me the bill. Why she didn't show me the bill first? To save the extra walk she has to do?? She came back with my credit card and a receipt to sign. I signed it, and was still seated. After taking the signed receipt, she came back with the nastiest look claiming I took her pen. No, I did not take your pen, why would I need your pen? I gave it back to you with the signed receipt. I don't recommend this restaurant at all if you don't want to be treated poorly.
