The restaurant is small but with a nice atmosphere. It is not exceptional, it should be more personal and with something peculiar. The food was of good quali, nouvelle cuisine type: small portions but full of flavours. The options chosen was a 3 dishes with wine pairing from the house. Overall a good experience.

Went here for Valentine’s Day. It was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend has a severe nut allergy and they were very accommodating. Never been to a restaurant where they were able to alter each dish to make sure my boyfriend could still enjoy something as delicious as the actual dish itself. He really appreciated that and the service was impeccable too. Very quick and having the chef come out and describe each dish and wine pairing made us feel like royalty. I can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10

Great and cozy atmosphere, tasty food and they take custom dietary wishes into account. Well worth the mention in the Michelin Guide. Can recommend this place, and will likely dine here again in the future.

This is my third time visiting this restaurant. This time was the best of all. The food was very delicious, service was great and we had a fabulous time...

I went to celebrate my birthday and had the 6-course meal. I want to say to anyone that’s deciding whether to go or not, this is your sign to go. The waiters were lovely, explained the dishes been made and paired it with good wines. I would recommend this restaurant a thousand times.

We tried the 4 course dinner with matching wines and everything was delicious!! The flavour combinations was excellent and the matching glasses of wines that came with each course was really good! Fine dining for sure, and the service was spotless. Overall very good experience and we’re definitely going back.

Celebrated our 10 years together here. The food was delicious and the wine pairing was great. All in all a lovely time. Would definitely recommend going if you are in Leiden

It is possible to say that we had wonderful dinner. Everything what I ate were delicious. The woman who owned this restaurant (with her husband) is very kind , helpful and beautiful. The prices are expensive. But add this restaurant to your dinner list.

Great restaurant. They don't have a menu. All you have to do is tell them how many courses you want (3-5) and if you have any dietary restrictions. This is honestly the best fine dining restaurant in Leiden. It is French cuisine as you can tell by the name and we ended up getting 4 courses. They start you off with a complimentary appetizer. The real appetizer was steak tartare.The next course was a baked sole. The penultimate course (the main) was this exquisite duck breast and it was topped off with a gin and tonic dessert (fruity and creamy). I haven't been in Leiden for long but hands down this is the best restaurant here if you are willing to spend 40 euros or so on a meal!

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate some graduations. We each had the four-course menu. It's a lovely and laid-back little restaurant, and it is very very very French. It's quiet but with just enough ambient noise that you can have a proper (not hushed) long conversation. The waiters are patient and attentive. The menu is interesting and clearly put together with attention. However, keep in mind the plus/minus already mentioned here: IT IS EXTREMELY SLOW. We got to the restaurant at 8. We left at 11:45. There were no unforeseen delays - that's just how they roll. It can be nice if you're prepared for it. I also found the food, while excellent and high-quality, was sometimes a bit too experimental. It seemed more as though the chef was interested in trying out new texture and taste combinations rather than worrying about how the whole thing tastes. But that's just personal preference, I guess. On the whole it was a wonderful place and a great meal, and this is definitely one of (if not the) best restaurant(s) in Leiden.

Excellent French restaurant in Leiden! I came in and tried the four course meal along with a glass of the house red, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Atmosphere was that of a quaint cafe (loved the bookshelf stuffed with books), and most of the other diners were couples. The meal started with some bread and olives, along with a complimentary appetizer of some soft cheese covered in rosemary and ensconced between two thin crackers. An interesting dish was served next with beef pate over beets - not my favorite of the night, but interesting none the less. Next, a dish of small appetizers including lobster, some light sushi roles with a baconesque topping, and some tom yum fluff was served. After that, a fish dish was served, and then a duck breast over duck leg confit. Finally, the meal ended with a dessert consisting of a jellied tart with ice cream and a champagne truffle. Everything was good, and cheese and tea were offered during the meal. Only reason for four stars is the price given the quantity of food - I left full though not overwhelmingly so for just over 43 euros. Pricier than other meals I have had in this town, but worth it!
