This place is incredible. I want to try the chili chicken cabbage salad next time. The chicken curry is fantastic. It's light and very flavorful with a lot of spices (but not hot). I had it with the bread which was so soft. Possibly one of the best curries I've ever had. The Monk's Curry Noddle and Vegetables is very very good. Rich broth base that tastes like lemongrass. I slightly prefer the chicken curry! The Monk's Curry has a lot of veggies and seems very healthy.

It was very nice) I love the fusion which happens on you plate. Especially you can see it with the beef bento box - beef which literally melts in your mouth and fantastic ratatouille! I asked for a recommendation of food and wine paring on budget and I got a good recommendation: Monks noodles and prawns + Rose = solid 10/10 Just one and only thing which quite land for me was the Banana tapioca pudding. I would recommend to try Chocolate Mousse, but anyways it was a new thing to try for me and my partner) We had a very friendly server which recommended us several positions and guided us through the menu. The ambiance is very comforting everything is clean and you can see a touch of high quality care! I love the Ukrainian flag at the entrance💛💙

We were feeling under the weather and on a pho kick so we decided to try this place for a weekday lunch. Having been to restaurant BT, our expectations were high. The chicken pho had a very balanced broth that supported the chicken and wasn’t overwhelming. The chicken was super tender and reminded me of Mother’s chicken noodle soup in a great way. I would’ve preferred more scallions in the soup and the portion was a bit small, the noodles went fast. The star of the show is the chocolate mousse. We came back here another day just to order the dessert. Very quaint place with limited seating but some high quality food for a steep price. Definitely order the chocolate mousse if it’s the only thing you get.

Dawn was absolutely amazing!! I’ve been here 1000 times but never for dinner. It was amazing. I had the lobster roll tempura the 6 ounce filet mignon topped with lump crab meat over asparagus and a blueberry lemon drop freshly pressed coconut shrimp Greek salad and some other things that I don’t remember, but everything was amazing. Let’s just say I cleaned my plate.

This has been my go to spot for when I don’t want to cook at home but still want that comforting food. Tried a variety of the menu items and never been disappointed. Some of my favorites are the fresh shrimp rolls, Pho, shaken beef, chicken curry stew and the prawn bento box. That staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

I love B.T. so much. I go every weekend with the Food taste amazing. I never get bored of it. It taste so good. I really enjoyed the fresh rolls and the band me sandwich. It’s the best ones I’ve ever had the broadest Krispy and everything taste good in the combination.

I love local mom & pop places that use fresh ingredients in flavorful dishes. I have driven by here so many times and glad we finally stopped in for a date night that we were not disappointed on. Subject: Disappointed with Decline in Chili Chicken Cabbage Salad Quality Dear Restaurant Owner, I wanted to share some feedback about one of my favorite items on your menu — the Chili Chicken Cabbage Salad. Over the years this was my go to salad, it was absolutely delicious and well-balanced with a decent amount of chicken, chili sauce, noticeable ginger, shallots, basil, and decent amount of peanuts. It quickly became a favorite. However, the last three times I’ve ordered it, the quality has noticeably declined. Each time, there was hardly any chicken, barely any chili sauce, no noticeable ginger, and only trace amounts of shallots, basil, and peanuts. At first, I thought perhaps it was a one-off mistake — maybe a new chef or someone was having an off day. But after three orders in a row like this, it feels like a deliberate reduction in the ingredients that made this salad not as enjoyable. Given the price point, I would expect the salad to maintain the same quality and quantity that originally made it great. I hope you’ll take this feedback into consideration and return the salad to its original standard.

At first, I was a bit surprised to find the restaurant closed at 4 PM, but I later realized they close between lunch and dinner service--a good note for next time. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by their beautiful herb garden. They have an abundance of rosemary, more than enough to last me a year! I ordered the Beef Pho and was very satisfied. While I personally would have preferred a bit more seasoning, the pho was still delicious. The menu mentions the use of grass-fed beef, and I could definitely taste the difference compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. My fiancée ordered the pork noodle salad, and it was incredibly fresh. It seems the herb garden is really paying off in terms of flavor. The service was also exceptional--attentive, professional, and upbeat. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Delicious and fresh Vietnamese food located in south Tampa. The restaurant is surrounded by fresh herbs outside and has a nice earthy intimate vibe inside. Service was great and attentive, you can order from the lunch or dinner menu for dinner. I was looking for something fresh, light and healthy and the Rice Vermicelli Salad "Bun" Bowl was PERFECT! I loved my meal and my fiancé had the pho which was scrumptious too. I can't wait to return.

I've been a huge fan of BT Nguyen ever since I discovered her in Hyde Park Village many moons ago . She ventured on and our community has continued to be deliciously blessed as she opened up three more establishments in the South Tampa area. Bistro BT's interior is designed with minimalism and has a Zen like feeling. It's small yet comfortable. Service is delivered in a simple efficient manner. She serves up French Vietnamese fare with the freshest organic ingredients. Her flavors pop . One can tell that great care has been put in to all that's done in the kitchen. Today , I ordered the Garden Veggie Salad which is loaded with chopped kale, red and green cabbage, radicchio, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, roasted sun flower seeds, dried cranberries, and BT's special poppy seed and sesame vinaigrette. It's a fave of mine. I ordered my daughter the chicken bahn mi, to-go. Unfortunately , I got home and after tasting the sandwich she did not care for it. She normally enjoys a bahn mi. I tried it and we both found it tasteless. I could not pick up on any flavors. It was not eaten. Thank goodness I had leftovers from my lunch. First time in all these years I've had something from there I didn't care for.

Wanted to check out this place. It's close to airport and plenty of parking. Great ambiance. Food is so so for the price. The whole picture cost us $61. If you what authentic Asian food, it's not a place for you. If you have American taste, you can try. The staff is nice. Quaint little place you could try. Not for us. Staff is friendly and restroom was clean.

This place is small but it has a really good atmosphere. We went around 5:30 and it was pretty empty, they open at 5. There is parking in front or on the side. The staff was really nice and food came out fast. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. For my main entrée I had pho with beef, both dishes were good. I would like to go back and try other dishes. As others have said before it is on the pricey side.

Just discovered Bistro BT even though I've lived near it for a while now and I'm so glad I found it! While their items are on the pricier side, they seem well worth it. I got the pork and pate Banh Mi and it was the best Banh Mi I've ever had. The inside is quaint and quiet and I loved the atmosphere. I looked up BT after and found out there was a To Go version (that I had already been too without realizing it was part of BT) and Restaurant BT, which I'm now so excited to try out! Will definitely be back to Bistro though too.

if you're looking for food that warns the soul, or familiar items prepared like you have never tried them, Bistro BT is the place to go. I am in love with every item I've ever tried on the menu, but my favorites are the fresh rolls with the shrimp, the bun bowl which is a noodle and lettuce salad, and the pho. The restaurant is intimate and colorful. The outside of the building is lined with fresh herbs and vegetables that are grown then used in the kitchen, and the inside is lined with jarred spices and herbs. What truly makes the experience is the owner, BT. I was first introduced to Bistro BT by a friend because I was feeling under the weather. I came here and enjoyed a cup of hot tea and a steaming bowl of chicken pho with organic chicken broth and plenty of vitamin-filled greens. The part of this experience that sticks with me is that I really liked the chopsticks I was given and ask the server if he knew where they were from so that I could purchase a pair. That is when the owner, BT, overheard me and went to the kitchen to grab me a clean pair of chopsticks which she gifted me. She then stayed at our table to ask about our dining experience. BT is a wonder person with exceptional culinary skills, and I'm the brief moment I shared with her it became evident that the restaurant is a reflection of her. Over the years the quality of food and service have remained the same in the best way possible. If you choose to order Bistro BT through a food delivery service you will not be disappointed, but if you have the opportunity to dine in, take it.

I really enjoyed restaurant BT the times I've been there, but bistro BT was a huge disappointment. Went with a group of people - my friend and I who both ordered the monk's curry noodles and veggies for dinner felt nauseous after eating it. I took back my leftovers and when I took a few bites of it a few hours later, I immediately got a headache so it must've been the food that made us feel sick. I wanted to leave a review as I saw another reviewer recently got food poisoning from this place and was dismissed for it, and I think it's important people are aware that food safety might be an issue here. Service was not great either - servers were not friendly and there was some passive aggressiveness? It was subtle but I have not experienced this before. Won't be returning to Bistro BT and now, not sure if I will ever return to Restaurant BT either. Also very overpriced for what you get

I dont write reviews normally. I saw a review below about food poisoning, and it really surprised me. I eat here several times a week for years. I am grateful for their healthy and tasty food, and I have NEVER had anything but delicious and healthy meals every time. It is tied for my favorite Tampa Bay restaurant. Also the BT team are gold. Everyone of them shines in their own wonderful way. JB

We had so much fun eating and drinking I have no photos of the food. The numerous flavors of margaritas; some of had mojitos. The fresh guacamole and chips made fresh was fantastic. We ordered two. It was our first meal after two days of trail racing and we were so satisfied.

BEWARE!! My friend got FOOD POISONING here. Shortly after eating here my friend had stomach cramps, sweats and repeated and violently throwing up. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the owner to let her know what happened so no others customers would suffer the same. To my shock she was not even interested to hear, she said it could not happen at her place and did not even as much ask how my friend was doing, but instead took a defensive and combative approach. She told me, and I quote " Have a nice life" and hung up the phone on me. So Nasty Food, Nasty Owner. Not to mention our bill was over $150.00 for soup, salad and tea? My shock was how the owner was so Rude and Flippant as to what happened. BEWARE!! This could happen to you.

The BEST Bahn Mi' sandwich ever! Tasted even better after taking other half home and eating it 3 hours later! Beautiful inside just wish it wasn't so loud. You can barely hear the other person sitting across from you.

I can definitely recommend this restaurant. It's a small restaurant in South Tampa that serves primarily Vietnamese food but other American foods as well. I had the curried chicken with blackened rice, spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps. Everything was super delicious. The atmosphere and waitstaff were delightful. I can find absolutely nothing wrong with this restaurant and we're so glad to find that is only a mile from my home in South Tampa.

I have been eating here two times per week since I moved to Tampa a few years ago. I am a fan of all BT's locations. Everything is very fresh! I am also blown away how good and healthful the pho is compared to other pho restaurants. And you never walk away with that over-stuffed pho feeling. 10 stars!

This is one my of all-time favorite "go to's" in Tampa. I eat here regularly, for both take out and eat-in, and it is consistently wonderful. I'm a huge fan of Chef BT and her "Think Global, Eat Local" vibe, and I love each of her offerings. Don't miss Restaurant BT for an elegant, fabulous date night. But when you need a quick "grab and go" nosh or some of the best Pho and fresh rolls in town, BT to Go is Not To Be Missed.

BT herself is always sweet and to the point with me. I like her style and art in food a lot. I have had the Chili Chicken Salad, and it is to die for (just the right portion). Let's not forget about her Pho- it is warming, tasty enjoyable all year round. Located in the heart of Tampa. Give them a try.

Bistro BT is such a great spot. Prices are higher than some other Vietnamese restaurants but totally worth it. All of their ingredients are super fresh and all of the dishes are a perfect flavor explosion. I love the Chicken Chili Salad, it is a huge portion and my favorite thing on the menu. Spring rolls and Rice Vermicelli Bun Salad Bowl are both great shareable choices. We have also enjoyed the Pho and Bento boxes. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere and service are wonderful.

If you need to know real "pho", look for reviews from Vietnamese American. We know how good it is fairly.

I ordered a pork banh mi to take out. I didn't expect it to be more than triple the price for a banh mi compared to an authentic Vietnamese joint, but I didn't falter at the register because I still wanted a banh mi. Bistro BT's banh mi does not travel well. When I opened my box at home, all of the pickled vegetables fell out of the bun. They did pack an extra little container of other pickled vegetables on the side too. I started to take some bites. This banh mi is super juicy (could be a good thing or a bad thing). Oil dribbled down my chin. The experience wasn't pretty. Good thing I was eating this alone! Overall the taste was alright, just not worth the price point.

Bistro BT is my favorite spot in the area for authentic Vietnamese pho. My husband and I found this gem thanks to our fellow Yelpers and lucky for us, its close to home. Everything we've ordered has been made fresh and you can taste it. The beef tenderloin pho is some of the best pho I've had in years, and the chicken fresh rolls are also a must try. The space is small with sheer curtains separating the tables, plus additional seating outdoors.

Visited for dinner, service was great! Portions are big, we split the curry dish, and got the banana tapioca pudding! I love the ambience, similar to restaurant Bt with the curtains between tables, gives a nice private dining experience, great for date nights!

If you have never had French Vietnamese I know it sounds interesting but it's such an amazing favor journey it's worth the trip. This is another restaurant by the owners of Restaurant BT and it's just as good. Menu is different so don't expect the same items, I always go for the Bun Bowl and ginger prawns. Such amazing flavors and very delightful on a warm day since it's a cold bowl. The duck appetizer is small but fantastic. And you can't come here without getting the addictive Jasmine Tea. Best drink I have ever had.

Happened upon this place en route to an appt. so glad we did! We ended up going here for date night. It's very quaint and cozy inside! Everything we got was very tasty. I knew going in that it is not a traditional Asian/Vietnamese restaurant so I knew to manage my expectations. The food was great and the service was just right. They weren't right on top of you but was there if you needed something. The iced ginger tea was so refreshing! My bf said he would just drink their broth the shaken beef was soo goood and flavorful too!

We chose Bistro BT for dinner since we wanted Vietnamese food and know that the proprietor has two additional locations in Tampa that have been open for quite a few years. I enjoyed the atmosphere, which was chic, simple and upscale without being stuffy. I had the duck breast bahn mi and it was delicious. We shared an appetizer of fresh rolls which were lovely. My friend had a great noodle salad and she liked it so much she forgot to give me a bite! We both had a glass of the Pinot Gris which was perfect with our food, and we wanted to try the ginger Crème brûlée but we were too full. I'll be back!

In Tampa for work and searching for fresh, unique, and delicious places to eat and all three of these adjectives describe Bistro BT! I was not planning to eat in and only order take out but the ambience of the restaurant was quaint and charming plus not very busy. The ratatouille was fresh and flavorful. If you're in a similar situation and looking for something different...highly recommend!!

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa. The owner, BT, cares about the quality of her chain so much. Everything is fresh, healthy, and tasty. I have never had a poor experience. I recommend getting the chicken pho or spring rolls

I absolutely love restaurant BT and BT to go. Of the 3 BT restaurants, id say this one is the worst. All the BT restaurants are higher in price but I'd say most of the time are worth it. The service isn't bad and the ambiance is a sense of clean minimalism. It's cool! There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We went for lunch and orders the bahn mi. It was good but nothing amazing like you'd find at Restaurant BT. I found it hilarious that they charged me for my hot sauce as well. Overall, it was fine to check out but I just wasn't wowed by the place and won't be going back. There are a lot of other restaurants popping up that would be better worth your time in my opinion.

Best Salad in Tampa - Chili Chicken Cabbage salad. Everything is always fresh. Other noteables- shaking beef, prawn fresh rolls, and salmon. My only complaint is paying that much for iced tea... however, it is delicious.

BT is my favorite restaurant in Tampa. Not just due to the elegance, but also because of the thoughtful flavor palettes and the high quality ingredients. The fresh rolls are perfect-- make sure to ask for a side of sriracha. Monk Curry is incredible, with a creamy curry coconut sauce, the warmth of the dish is comforting... feels like a warm hug. The chili chicken chopped salad is absolutely amazing. Thinking back on the flavors really gets me salivating. Whether you desire a quick light lunch or a mouth watering dinner meal, BT is the place to go!

Had lunch here service was excellent along with the atmosphere and had pho and spring rolls although it a good amount a pho and high quality. I wasn't blown away and it wasn't best pho I had in tampa. Prices for it and portion sizes left me feeling like this place is overhyped. If I give it 3.5 I would but I can't see myself giving this 4 stars. Maybe some other menu items are worth it but I not sure if I be back for that.

Never can go wrong with the authentic Pho and fresh summer rolls! The staff is very friendly and prompt.

BT Nguyen continues to cook up delicious French-Vietnamese cuisine for Tampa diners! Bistro BT is one of three of BT Nguyen's restaurants in the South Tampa area. This restaurant is a slightly more casual and moderately priced version of Restaurant BT. My husband and I have grabbed lunch here twice. The pho is a little more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants we have dined at, but worth it since all of the ingredients are super fresh and of high quality. My only complaint was when we were charged extra for asking for more sriracha sauce. A bottle of sriracha costs less than $3... do you really need to charge me more for a condiment? Order the ginger iced tea. It is one of our new favorite drinks!

Terrific lunch...never disappoints. Fried spring rolls perfect...crispy and seasoned perfectly. Chicken curry was delightful...served with a brioche roll, the curry was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Oh yes!!!! Pho heaven first of all. Like heaven it is closer than you think! This pho has a new twist for me with a richer broth a touch of oil, more subtle herbs and a hint of cinnamon. It gives yet another dimension to the already superb flavor. What a great addition and one I believe sets this pho apart and above the rest.....this and the beef is exquisite!!! Once again proving that food from all corners of world share 3 primary ingredients: love, passion & community....The menu is very inviting and I will find my way here as often as possible to check out all the fare....am already Jonesing for a glass of their red and ratatouille or the duck....Oh how I wish you could find your way to St. Pete downtown or the beach!!!

I have always been a big fan of BT's restaurants, and this is no exception! We recently called our order in, and had a pretty seamless experience. My faves are the prawns and the vermicelli.

High quality food in an informal setting - A less formal menu than Restaurant BT, but excellent quality. Several Bento box options (shrimp, chicken, tofu) for dinner and banh mi options at lunch. The chicken pho consommé (part of several dishes) deserves to be a standalone dish - infused with star anise and other spices, it is an aromatic delight. Service was prompt and attentive.

First time trying this place on a cold night, was looking for some good phô and this place nailed it! Typically I get the largest size bowl for phô but this place is all about quality and you can tell! Also tried the papaya salad which was super fresh and the pork bahn mi sandwich. Highly recommend! They have a small outdoor seating area and the staff was super nice!

My first time at the bistro!... love the atmosphere and especially the Banh Mi Sandwich pork terrine was delicious and the pickles salad that came with it was perfect!... sandwich is definitely worth the price!... I will definitely go back!...

not a single thing can justify the prices of this place for what you're getting. I spent $80 + plus tip here and i was expecting a feast. With the amount of food i got you would think it would be worth no more than $45-50 at most. Food was average.

I stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful time! I absolutely love this restaurant. It was my first time here, but I have been to Bt in a Box and was impressed with their curry. I came in specifically for the pho and ai ordered both the beed and chicken. First off ai love the bowls that they serve them in. Next, the pho is so full of flavor and freshness. I really enjoyed the organic chicken as well as the selection of beef they used for the beef pho. They bring the bowls with everything already in it which is great because the tables can be small there. Does the quality of the pho I totally thought it was worth 15$ a bowl. I was in and out so quickly and the atmosphere and vibe was apot on. I loved the clean lines and beautiful wood paneling of the space and intimacy of it. None of my food tastes positive for gluten, we omitted the hoisen sauce and crispy onions so it would be safe. I will 100% be back!

As a frequent visitor of BT To Go and a general fan of BT's food and restaurants, I was very excited to try out Bistro BT. The restaurant is like a larger version of BT To Go and provides both indoor and outdoor seating. Unlike BT To Go, a server will seat you and take your order. After perusing through the Yelp reviews, I already knew I wanted to try the beef tartare. Also, I tried the coq au vin with baguette, pork bun, and the ginger creme brulee. -Beef tartare with toast points ($16): This is a generous portion of beef tartare. I thought the beef itself was good. I did not like the addition of the peanuts more so for the texture since it distracted from the tenderness of the beef. I also thought the pieces of cilantro could be cut finer. I've had beef tartare before, and I think a simpler take on this traditional appetizer would've been better instead of the unbalanced flavors and textures. -Coq au vin ($16) + baguette ($3): I Googled some images before I ordered to get an idea of what it was since I've never coq au vin before. It was served in a little pot with the side of the baguette. I hated it. It was like minestrone with intense red wine. On a more positive note, the baguette itself deserves 5/5 stars. BT should open a bakery or patisserie and feature her baguettes and call it, "Heaven." -Bun ($8.95) + pork ($5): I've had this before at BT To Go, but it tasted a lot better there. It was like a cold noodle salad and it did not help that it was served in a metal bowl. The pork was flavorless and the sauce needed to be more "fishy." -Ginger creme brulee ($5.95): This was a tiny serving of creme brulee good for one person. The ginger flavor was too strong and tasted more like maple syrup. I was disappointed that the top didn't have sugar and wasn't torched completely because cracking the top is the best part of creme brulee! $60 later, I was disappointed in my visit at Bistro BT. While the ingredients at any BT establishment is some of freshest tasting ingredients you'll taste, the execution of the food I ordered fell short. I do appreciate the use of local and organic products, but $60 for 3 items and having to pay additional for add-ons is a steep price for an experience that does not meet my standards for a BT restaurant. This review should is closer to 2.5 than 2. While I'm sure I would've given this place a higher rating if I had ordered the same items I would look at BT To Go, I wanted to experience what sets this restaurant apart from its sisters. I would recommend BT To Go over Bistro BT, but since both restaurants have overlapping products, I recommend to sticking to the simple and familiar items. Do NOT expect to pay for an average pho in a bouillon base with a funny aftertaste served with plastic wear. You are paying for fresh ingredients, bold flavors, impeccable service and a chic dining experience. Here are a few of our favorites: the pumpkin soup, the chicken chili cabbage salad, the beef pho, and the matcha green tea. You're in for a treat!!
