The restaurant has been on our list for some time now and expectations were high. We arrived a little before 6pm and were greeted kindly. The place was half full. The service started briskly and we ordered appetizers, main courses and drinks at the same time. We received our appetizers and starters quickly. The crudo was delicious, the tempura was even too crispy and there was too little batter.
Unfortunately, we had to wait for the main courses for over an hour, in between the waiter even asked if we would like to order some drinks, apparently they had forgotten our order for some reason.
The main courses, teriaki glaced sweetbread and pike, were delicious. The place had a lot of potential, but the service was very haphazard and the waiting time for the food was far too long. Unfortunately, bistro ego did not meet expectations.
