First impression: cozy is an understatement. It’s tiny and packed with tables, so we were basically elbow-to-elbow with our neighbors. We tried a few dishes — the cheese platter was great, especially with wine. The escargot came wrapped in some kind of pastry, so you could eat the whole thing, shell and all. I liked that twist! The steak? Super tasty. One tip: don’t rely too much on the staff’s recommendations. I followed their pasta pick and totally regretted it 😅. Better to go in with a plan. All in all, it’s a nice little traditional French spot. The food is tasty, but not rush-back-every-week tasty. Worth a visit, maybe not a regular.

Dropped by because I wanted to have some pâté en croûte and I heard they had it as a regular menu item, unlike some places that have it as an occasional special. Service was very good. Attentive, polite and accommodating. Atmosphere was lovely too. Somewhat rustic yet elegant, giving a homely, welcoming feel. The pâté en croûte was served with a small side of salad with some vinaigrette and some cornichons. Overall, quite nice but I feel it was a little too cold when served, which to me, seems to lock up the flavour of pâté and rillettes a little bit. It just needs to warm up ever so slightly in order for us to be able to taste more. Just my opinion though. Oh, and their sourdough was very good! Will definitely come back to try more.

We had the Singapore Restaurants Week Menu. The gratin of artichoke and spinach was delicious, the thin crust of cheese mixing so well with the spinach puree and bits of artichoke (though I wish the artichoke is of a bigger cut). The baby scallops in the cerviche was slightly chewy but the sauce was zesty and refreshing. Poached seabass was delicate in texture and taste, covered in a crush green pea velouté. The Angus Hangar steak was a bit too rare for my liking but the taste was good. Dessert of profiteroles and cherry pie also did not disappoint. Service wise, it was smooth and friendly. Sharing plates were provided without being asked for all three courses. Serving portion was big for a set menu and we were all fully sated at the end of the meal.

The complimentary bread was warm and comforting, a simple pleasure elevated by a smear of quality butter. The cold cuts set, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. From the mains, I especially enjoyed the gravy that came with the poulet, it really made the dish stand out. The steak was decent, the cut is on the leaner side. I was most excited for one of my all-time favourite French dishes: beef bourguignon. While the flavours were there, the sauce was a bit thicker than I personally prefer as I tend to enjoy a thinner, more delicate version.

1st time here. Loved d cuisine and authenticity of the french cuisine. Loved their meats, though we could not get the highly recommend beef stew. Oh ya.... Their foie gras are AMAZING

Food & service is amazing, Especially the steak & even the fries! Steak was cooked on point & meat was tender. Ravioli wasn’t diluted. Pasta was cooked on point. Fries were crispy thin fries. Ordered steak, rabbit , escargot! We will definitely come back.

Came here for a business lunch and ordered several à la carte dishes for two. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes with no food, we had only 10 minutes left before we had to leave—so we ended up paying $250 for an empty stomach. When we asked about the delay, the waitstaff insisted that this was the normal wait time due to the “starter-then-main” service. However, all I received in that entire time was a single salad as a starter. Was the food great? I don’t know - it seemed cold and salty to me by the time it came out. Not for me—never again.

We came to Gaston for Friday lunch. The food was excellent! Hamachi appetiser was refreshing with lemonly zing. My seabass main course was nicely done
