Essential French Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Bistro Niko is a bit corny with its French aesthetics, but it’s charming nonetheless to see its red leather booths and French countryside mural on the wall. Renowned for its ambiance in the heart of Buckhead, the restaurant delights patrons with an extensive menu of French classics like steak au poivre and a truffle-infused gruyere tart, complemented by an impressive wine selection and delightful dessert offerings (baba au rhum, anyone?). The place is especially decorated during the holidays." - Sarah Bisacca

Atlanta’s 10 Best Summer Cocktails | Eater

"Dining at Bistro Niko is a bit like time travel: Upon stepping foot inside the restaurant you’ll feel transported to 1940s Paris. The best way to soak up those classique vibes is to order the Trois Martini. It’s fruity, but not too sweet, with Grey Goose infused with berries. Pair it with one of the tartes (French flatbread) — we especially like the house-cured smoked salmon — and you’ll be good to go." - Marcy Franklin

Bistro Niko - Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Bistro Niko in Buckhead is one of our favorite French spots, and it’s a great option for when you want to sit on a patio, drink some good wine, and tell the waiter about how you studied abroad in Paris. Start with some oysters and then get the coq au vin or duck confit cassoulet. And if you’re someone who likes to end meals with something sweet, make sure to get the apple tart, too." - Sarah Bailey

Food was very good and normally would be a 5 star but the Skate although good was just swimming in way too much butter. Same with the spinach on both plates, again too rich for our taste. The French onion soup was also very good but I have had better. Glad we went and I would recommend just know it is very richly loaded food

Nice place. I can solidly recommend it if you are in Atl and like the look of the menu. We Had some minor issues with food but all was handled absolutely perfectly. The seats were in were shockingly loud for a not overly crowded restaurant, although I also wonder if our seat location played a part. The food was excellent. Only 4 stars because it is what I expect at the price point. Shared appetizers, drinks and main course wound up being just under $100 per head with tip.

Haven’t been to Bistro Niko for quite some time now, since moving out of Buckhead more than 10 years ago. I was given a Buckhead Life Dining Card from a coworker and decided to take the family. We went on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was nice, our server Aaron took great care of us. His recommendations were spot on. The soft shell crab and Halibut specials were delicious. Aaron checked on us frequently and also recognized me as a fellow hospitality person! I appreciated the dessert selections and made our evening memorable.

My husband and I have been going to Bistro Niko once in a blue moon. We went for for Buckhead Restaurant week and they had the most amazing menu they have had I believe. The Three course menu was amazing. I had the escargot, The Georgia trout and the chocolate mousse as dessert. My husband had the Caesar salad, and he was able to substitute the entree for the European sea bass on their menu and finally he had the floating aisle (ile flottante) As dessert. All in all, the flavors were delicious and very well shown! Our waitress, Georgia was a peach literally. She was very lovely and tried to get to know us. I really appreciate that friendliness and communication. The manager was so lovely and we had such a great time. We would definitely recommend. My husband basically had an old fashioned and I had the lychee martini. Everything from top to bottom was beyond our expectation and we highly recommend! Thank you for such an amazing service and we will be back.

Google
Exceptional food in a traditional brassiere environment. The french onion soup is rich and flavorful and full of cheese, very decadent. We shared the pork belly and picked vegetables which has a briny, mustard glaze- that dish is an automatic, always order it and it doesn’t disappoint. The mussels were plump, fresh and perfectly prepared, not one was dry or overcooked or had any “off” flavor. And my entree, the scallops, was served piping hot, on a small bed of creamy mashed potatoes with asparagus in a creamy rich sauce that complemented the flavors perfectly. Our server was fantastic and highly professional. Very romantic date night meal.

Google
One of our regular eateries and is consistent. The food is always delicious, and we’ve had everything, but on this visit, I wish the tarragon sauce on the fish sandwich was milder and the butter was softer so it could spread easily. Despite these minor flaws, we thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and steak tartare, and will definitely continue to return.

Bestie turned 40 and after a weekend of celebrating, it was time for the official Birthday Dinner. As my bestfriend is very picky, Bistro Niko was the restaurant of choice. Bistro Niko was very easy to find as it sits on the main strip. Parking is ample as there is Valet as well as Paid Lots. Walking into Bistro Niko, the ambiance is still. The noise level is minimum, the lighting is intimate, and the decor is eye-catching. As you get lost in the visual design, the use of space is perfect for the size and makes walking and navigating an ease. The table settings were pristine along with the service provided by Nicki, our server. Nicki greeted us with a huge smile, warm greeting, and an abundance of love and joy. Nicki truly took my Bistro Niko experience from a 10 to a 100. LoL!!! As we engaged in conversation, we placed our orders and everything flowed smoothly. From the delivery of the drinks, to the bread, to refills, and finally the food. Bistro Niko didn’t skip a beat when it came to providing superior quality and Nicki matched the tone by providing superior customer service. I decided to order the Mushroom Burger and it was impeccable. The beef was high quality. The meat was well rested and the flavor profile shined alongside the mushroom encrustment and toasted bun. Though it was a burger, it was of such high quality that it can’t be called a burger. It was a beef led foodtastic experience. Ha!! Once dinner concluded, the birthday song was executed and the night concluded. Bistro Niko was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Nicki was great. The manager who checked in on us was great. The food was great. The night was great. If you’re in the area and wanting a great meal and experience, stop in for the Bistro Niko experience.

Was in the Buckhead area and decided to try one of the many restaurants located there. Bistro Niko is an upscale restaurant that serves French cuisine. As an appetizer we tried the Mesclun Salad, it was fresh, tasty and wasn’t drowned in dressing. For an entree I ordered the Georgia Mountain Trout, while not a classic French dish it was served with French Green Beans in Shallot Butter and Pomme Puree or for those of us from the south, mashed potatoes. The Trout was cooked to perfection, the beans were tender not overcooked and the potatoes were perfect. My wife tried a traditional French dish with the Quiche Floretine. It was served hot and fresh but it lacked flavor. She said she was underwhelmed as she had higher expectations being they tout their authentic French Cuisine. Additionally, she discovered something, in one bite, that was crunchy and appeared to be egg shell. The restaurant is in Buckhead, nestled among the many high rise businesses. Parking is valet or a pay lot located across the street, with the time it took us to eat the parking cost 14$. The restaurant is similar in style to something you would find in Las Vegas yet doesn’t seem to be as well kept, with chipped paint and other imperfections common. Overall I would recommend try Bistro Niko if you are looking for French food and happen to be in the Atlanta/Buckhead area.

Yelp
I recently went to Bistro Niko for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. First and foremost, this restaurant was recommended to me by my employer's concierge service Circles. Shoutout to them for giving a 5-star recommendation. Bistro Niko is a restaurant located in Buckhead that serves French cuisine. You can get valet parking here for $2, take advantage because if you know Buckhead you know parking is non-existent. The restaurant ambiance is fancy and upscale, with cute Parisian theme decor everywhere. The menu has great variety and made it hard for me to make a decision. I was stuck between the Kobe beef bourguignon and their 3-course meal for $50. I went to why the 3-course meal so that I could get an appetizer, entree and dessert! I ended up getting the Coq Au Vin for my entree and it was absolutely to die for! However, I will be back to try the beef bourguignon sometime. Also, the crème brûlée was absolutely delicious. I absolutely recommend Bistro Niko if you're ever in the area or looking for a nice place for a date night or a birthday dinner.

Yelp
We visited Bistro Niko in Buckhead for our team dinner (party of 13). The host and hostesses were welcoming to our group. Six of us were seated early. Our server came by to obtain our drink orders ahead of the arrival of our additional guests. He was not the most friendly but we brushed it off. We were trying to make a decision on a carafe versus individual drinks and it seemed like he was rushing us to make a decision. When we realized two of our colleagues could now make it, we asked one of the hostesses about adding a table which she enthusiastically did. The server then came by and stated no one told me or asked me to add the table and seemed irritated. He wasn't available at the time we inquired and why did it matter who we asked. That was a comment that he could've kept to himself. All in all the majority of our party was less than enthused with him as a server BUT the rest of the staff and food made up for his shortcomings. Here are some of the selections that we enjoyed: Beverages - SPÉCIALITÉ LE ST. GERMAIN (very refreshing) Appetizers: Crab cake, Mussels, French Onion soup Salad: Caesar, Belgian Endive Entrees: SAUTÉE LOUP DE MER EUROPEAN SEA BASS, MAINE SEA SCALLOPS ST. JACQUES, Steak (I can't remember the cut but they enjoyed it) We didn't particularly like the Gruyère cheese puffs basket. They weren't tasty and we could've done without them. Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience with my colleagues with the exception of our server, maybe he was having a bad day.

Yelp
Love the location! To begin, valet parking is only $3. Walking in the hostess was very polite and welcoming. We had a reservation and were seated instantly. My date was a 10 minutes late, but neither the hostess nor the waiter minded. Waiter was very knowledgable about the wine menu. Food was just okay. Scallops were good, but not great. The ambiance was very romantic and loved the lighting.

Yelp
We had a really really nice meal at Bistro Niko. We sat on the porch because the wintry weather was not quite here yet and very much enjoyed that, other than the occasional loud car on Peachtree rd :) The drinks, appetizers, dinner & dessert was all amazing; it's hard for me to recommend anything in particular as I am sure you cannot go wrong. They have some awesome booths for two people inside in the rear of the restaurant that looked very cozy, so I may request that next time. Service was top notch with regular checkups at just the right time.

Yelp
Love Bistro Niko, the Christmas decor was just beautiful and really added to our experience. The service was excellent. All of our dishes were prepared correctly and everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall, out of a lot of places to choose from in Buckhead, there is a reason we always consider coming back to Niko's (and usually do). Excellent, memorable meal and we'll be back!

Yelp
I've been to bistro niko a few times over the years. Although this is a higher end restaurant, alot of locals come so it has a neighborhood feel. On this visit, I ordered the steak tartare and foie gras. I loved the foie gras. However, the steak tartare had too many onions so I couldn't finish it. I also love their Duck confit. I'd come back but I might sit at a table instead of the bar since the bar got super crowded after 5pm.

Yelp
Wonderful place to sit and hang out with someone and eat yummy food. The server we had was seriously perfect(Billy). The layout and setup at this place was very nice and comfortable and the food was very yummy too. We each just had one single drink and both did taste basically blah and tasteless but not gross. The food and the servers were all perfect here. A great place.

Yelp
Had a wonderful team dinner at Bistro Niko! The restaurant was bustling on a weeknight and I felt like I was dining in a French bistro. My impression was that it's a popular dining spot in the Buckhead area. The menu is quite extensive and I was able to try a few different things. The escargot en croute was to die for and you better believe I dipped some bread into the butter sauce. I also really enjoyed the ahi tuna tartare and the gougeres, which were perfectly light and cheesy. My Kobe beef cheek bourguignon entree was enormous and the beef cheek was braised well and incredibly tender. Fries were thin, crispy and salty and I had profiteroles to end the night. Good service, nice ambiance and great food. What more can you ask for?

Yelp
Came here for an early dinner on a Tuesday. The restaurant was quiet which I enjoyed. I ordered the coq au vin. It was well cooked and melted off the bone. The sauce was also delicious. We also got a salad which was fresh and yummy! And the profiteroles were perfectly sweet with great texture. Service was fantastic as usual!

Yelp
My sister and I came in for lunch on New Year's Day!!! The food was amazing, Aaron was really good. He was so nice to split our entree for us and was attentive. The only reason I gave a 4 stars was the hostess. She was so not nice. We felt so unwelcome. We had contemplated to leave when we arrived. We both work in the restaurant industry and have done all job duties so we would know the expectations. That definitely rubbed us the wrong way. The hostess is to be the first impression of the restaurant and man she was not. I have not came across negative energy in a long time. She needs a new job. The girl with the pink sweater and glasses!!! Go get yourself a new job if you hate what you do!!! Just saying!! You are not nice at all.

Yelp
We picked Bistro Niko for a dinner because of the location - but the restaurant is so much more! Valet is really the only option for parking as the restaurant faces a busy stretch of Peachtree in Buckhead. It's $2 plus tip. Once inside we were seated quickly and waited for rest of our party of 4 to arrive. The menus are huge (literally) and I knocked over my husband's water glass. The wait staff was quick to notice and with precision reset the table with new linens. The ambiance was lively, slightly loud. Server shared specials then seemed to check back in at just the right times. I had trout almondine (incredibly tasty!) and guys at table had steak. Other friend ordered the duck. If you are a fan of chocolate martinis Bistro Niko has them. Previous visit was at lunchtime and that was equally lovely. We will be back!

Yelp
For an upscale steak restaurant located in the heart of Buckhead, you'd think the pricing would be astronomical. It is not. You get great upscale dinner experience and service without the breaking your wallet feel. We went for a birthday celebration and had a party of five. Shared a lovely bottle of wine, ordered special appetizers and meals and everything was so delicious. We've been twice and will continue to go back. Our service that night was excellent and we never had to ask for a refill. He just kept appearing and taking care of everything. Great personality and made the evening fun. The first time we went, my love and I sat at the bar. Second time, sat in the dining room area. Both are great!

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Sunday, it was a great experience! Started off with the Crevettes en Feuille de Brique appetizer, which was great for 2 people to share. Super tasty, not fishy at all. For my meal, I ordered the Fresh Seafood Tagliatelle Pasta, which was not only a great sized portion, but tasted super fresh. The picture I took doesn't do it justice! I also got 2 drinks: a Le Bon Rhum cocktail and then a Lemondrop as well, both were awesome. Great food, easy valet parking, and friendly service - would definitely recommend to others and also return sometime!

Yelp
This food was amazing and I loved spending time with family during the holidays. We come here all the time.

Yelp
Upon arrival we were greeted by a man at the host desk who was far from warm and fuzzy. Perhaps the rainy weather had him down in the dumps? It was hard to tell if he was just pretending to be Parisian although I know many French people unusually they're friendlier than that. The restaurant itself was adorable decorated for the holidays. It was festive. We seated at a table facing the street near the bar. Our waiter was nice very to the point not a whole bunch of small talk. The French onion soup we had was delicious some of the best we have found since being here in Atlanta , I thought the escargot was tasty too. Salad was fresh and delightful. I love a good Belgium endive salad, and who doesn't love blue cheese and walnuts! Speaking of blue cheese the martini my husband had had an abundance of olives stuffed w/ blue cheese. My glass of Sav Blanc was yummy. We had two rounds of drinks , the second round his martini glass was broken so I brought it back to the bar and saw the bartender basically put the contents of the drink back in the shaker and pour it in a new glass. She was kind enough to make him a whole brand new martini once I asked. I don't know about you, but if you're ever given a broken glass at a bar, I promise you , you want a whole new cocktail made. No one wants to eat glass by accident. My glass of wine oddly enough had a chip in the bottom of the stem, but at that point to go complain about that seemed more hurtful than helpful. Our entrées were also enjoyable. I think that the steak au poivre should have had a little bit more of a crust to it, wasn't a proper sear but it was good . The scallops were delicious and the white wine sauce served with it was perfect. All and all I think we'd very much like try the crab cake and oysters next time. Perhaps saving room for dessert next time ! The food was delicious, the overall vibe is still up for debate.

Yelp
Overall a tasty French restaurant in Atlanta! For appetizers, we ordered the escargot and crab cake. I love how garlicky the escargot was. The crab cake was also very good, well seasoned and not too salty. For mains we ordered the salmon, paillard of chicken breast, trout, and the steak sandwich. The trout was cooked well as was the salmon. The steak sandwich was tasty, but I wasn't completely blown away. These were all solid dishes, but I think I enjoyed the appetizers more. For dessert we ordered the rhum cake and flourless chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was good- it is you're classic flourless chocolate cake, which I thoroughly enjoy but not unique. The rhum cake was interesting, not what I expected. It was good, and I still enjoyed it, but the cake was a little on the dry side. The syrup it sits in helps remedy this, though this citrus flavor in the sauce is rather overpowering. Service was good, no negative comments in this area. We came for lunch on a weekday, and there were many business meetings happening around us, but it wasn't too loud which was nice. Their Christmas decorations were still up, which doesn't bother me. I feel like it adds character and goes with the overall vibe of the restaurant, but it is something to note if you are someone who is adamant about only having Christmas decor up in December.

Yelp
It had been a minute since I'd been and my husband's birthday made for the perfect chance to go back. Right from the host stand, where we were greeted with "Happy Birthday!" even though he didn't remember having it in his Open Table profile, everything was lovely. Very festive in a Saks-at-the-holidays way and the food was excellent. I went all out for the filet and frites and he had the Coq au Vin. My medium rare was perfect and he devoured his! We were so surprised when a special birthday dessert of the dreamiest profiteroles arrived! We left very full and happy.

Yelp
Food here was great. The French onion soup was a perfect appetizer and both the veal and duck entrees tasted wonderful. Atmosphere is well decorated and is a nice place to enjoy some great cuisine. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. A bit on the higher side in terms of price but I thought the experience was worth it. Would definitely be back if given the chance.

Mark D.

Yelp
Great service from bartender, not so much from the kitchen. Steak and frites came out fine after a delay. But sauce Beranaise was congealed. Very disappointed. Sent back awaited replacement for twenty minutes! What has happened here?
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
We just had an excellent dinner at Bistro Niko. Their steak and frites we're absolutely top-notch. I had the Prime NY Sirloin Strip & Frites with béarnaise sauce and both my kids had the Ribeye Steak Maitre d'Hotel Butter & Frites. The steak was exceptionally tender and juicy and the fries were made just right. My wife also greatly enjoyed the Mountain Trout Almondine. For appetizers we ordered the Mushroom & Truffle Essence Tarte, the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and the Crisp Duck Leg Confit. They were all wonderful, specially the duck confit. To top it off, for dessert we ordered the Profiteroles and the Crème Brulée. Both were divine! We also appreciated the courteous service and inviting ambiance. We'll be returning soon! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Price: $$$ Food: * * * Service: * * * * Ambiance: * * * * ----------------------------- This is one, if not the most popular French restaurant in the Atlanta area. I've been to this restaurant many times and always try to get something new. However, I have found that the food is just ok. Nothing has been spectacular to me, and maybe my pállate is not too refined, but my wife absolutely loves this place. The restaurant decour and interior are very charming and romantic. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings and specials. I ordered the French Onion soup - it was good. But I would've liked to have a little more cheese on it. The burger Au Poivre Burger was nice and juicy, but a little bland. The trout almondine was by far the best thing we ordered this time. It was nice and flaky as well as tasty. It is definitely a great place for a date or a romantic evening out with the spouse. As a bonus, this restaurant was also featured on the new Netflix series: A Man in Full. Nicely done!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful! We came here on a Tuesday night & loved it. The menu is very extensive, with lots of options for everyone. We started with an appetizer of the tuna tartare & shrimp pastry. Both were good & not too overly filling. I ordered the salmon for my entree & it was cooked very well. Flavors were great. My mom got the lobster pasta & enjoyed it. She mentioned it would be better with a creamy sauce, but overall liked it. For dessert we got two of the ones our waiter recommended. Both were good. One thing about the food was it was wonderful but not the type of food that sits heavy on you. Some restaurants you leave feeling yuck, but this is not one of them. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quaint & upscale. There is valet parking in the back. Our waiter was PHENOMENAL! Niko went over the top to make our first experience here wonderful. He knew the menu through & through but his personality was wonderful. He is one of the best waiters we've ever had in 50+ restaurants we've been to in Atlanta. Highly, highly recommend him! We'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
Ambience was 10/10. Such a big restaurant and so well decorated for Christmas. The escargot and tuna tartare are very good appetizers to start with. We had a party of 5 and ordered 5 different entrees to share. The skate wing was sub par, the steak is what you'd expect out of a good steak, the duck breast was okay, the sea bass was absolutely delicious so was the side of creamed spinach. Oddly the best entree was the Cajun chicken. It was SO GOOD. Very juicy and flavorful. Now the real star of the show was the service. Ali, our server was outstanding and a jack of all trades! He was a gem! Very attentive and overall just a great guy! He made our night with his humor and help. Also, the drinks were all good too. Make sure to get the champagne/st Germaine beverage they have.

Kadeesha L.

Yelp
The service here is phenomenal! Every server is attentive and tuned in to your needs. It makes the experience pleasant and comforting! I also like the open kitchen aspect and being able to see what's being made. Having dinner here at about 6pm on a Saturday was busy but having a reservation makes it a breeze! We started with the lump crab cake as suggested but our waitress and it was so good! Buttery yet light. No bready bits, truly just crab. I like the french style roasted chicken but could have used a bit more salt to me. Other than that the I loved the crunchy veggies on top and the succulent mushrooms. This was a nice dining experience overall but food was a 7/10. Aside from the crab cake which I would 100% come back for, also want to try the mussels.

Yelp
This elegant French restaurant located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta is definitely a special occasion place. The holiday decor was beautiful and inviting. While waiting a few minutes for our table, we ordered a drink at the bar. Once seated we started with a couple appetizers. We had the Crab Cake $26 and the Escargot $18. For the entree I had the Sea Scallops $32. Everything was delicious. We ended with the Chocolate flourless Cake $9 was good but a little dry. A lovely experience.

Yelp
A bit pricey but my scallops were very tasty and I loved that I had an option to try a couple of wines before I settled on one.

Yelp
Love the ambiance at this place, waitstaff was so nice and very patient with us, food came out really tasty. I thought the price was quite reasonable for the vibe of the place and the quality of food, I was a bit surprised about it. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Our family of 4 decided to try bistro Nicole on a busy Friday evening. Starters included a French onion soup and cheese puffs. French onion soup was in an interesting shaped cup. It tasted nice with the cheese topping. Cheese puffs were somehow lacking cheese. Our entrees included Veal, duck, trout and salad with poached egg. Trout on a bed of asparagus with toasted almonds was the pick of the entrees. Perfectly cooked and flavors blended optimally. Veal was the next favorite dish. The duck was cooked medium and was not as tasty. Possibly it should be ordered medium well. Overall 4 stars.

Yelp
Overall food was good. My favorite was the appetizer. I also really enjoyed ÎLE FLOTANTE dessert. It is definitely unique and haven't tried anywhere else before. I could taste the French culture cuisine in both the appetizers & desert. However the Burger taste like any other Burger. Seafood pasta was good however it had a little strong fishy aftertaste. The environment was very pretty. My friend got proposed here during Christmas time so I wanted to go try it out. During Christmas time they have holiday lights wrap around the restaurant. The drinks can be over price spent $19 for a margarita. The service was quick and easy. The waiter even told us about downloading their app and you can get a free appetizer which you can use at any of their partner restaurants

Yelp
I have heard good things about this place, but sadly it was not up to my expectations. The service was great. We felt taken care of - that's why this place earned the stars. I'm going to start off with what was great - it was the dessert. The Crème brûlée was out of this world. I would have eaten that for the appetizer, dinner and dessert The birthday ice cream was also amazing! Coming to the food: Sorry to say but Everything else we ordered was disappointing for a restaurant in Buckhead. Starter: The French onion soup was very average. It wasn't bad but it did not hit the spot. Main course: The duck was cooked as recommended, medium rare - I loved the texture. But the food was not at all hot, it was colder than Luke warm. The red wine flavor was over powering, and not well balanced. The pasta was not bad, but it wasn't great either. Very average. It's comparable to an everyday average pasta. The Ambiance was amazing - the decorations, a nice festive vibe. It was a nice place to be at for sure. As a huge foodie - the reason why I gave two stars is because I weigh my rating based on food quality + presentation ~ for a nice restaurant in Buckhead, I don't think the food was up to the mark and price. Would not be returning

Yelp
We found this experience mostly enjoyable, the food was delicous! The service was very nice until dessert...it got busy and I think our waiter forgot to ask about drinks. I found him and ordered coffee but he forgot again and by the time it came, our dessert was almost finished. He apologized and never charged us for it though. Unfortunately we reserved this for a romantic anniversary dinner, even noted it on our request- and they did give us a nice round booth but....a very large and loud party of about 50 came in and took over that side of the restaurant shortly after we arrived. I'm sure if I would have asked to move they would have accomodated us but we were already settled in. I loved my drink their specialty "St Germaine" came in a little carafe and was light and tasty! They treated us to an anniversary dessert which was so nice. We will be back for sure! They have valet parking- so convenient Restrooms- 4 unisex individual toilet closets very nice and clean

Yelp
From the entrance to the dining experience, this place blew our minds! We expected to walk into a standard French bistro and walked into a French Rivera decked out with holiday decor and live jazz music! We enjoyed the peach bubbly cocktail together and an order of oysters on the half shell for starters and everything was incredible. The 2 regions represented in the oyster selection were clean and crisp, not fishy at all but very fresh. We ordered the croquette and the Norwegian (smoked salmon) Benedict and both were outstanding, and very swiftly delivered to the table. Might have even been able to use another 5 minutes to finish our oysters. But the food was just absolutely delicious. The atmosphere for the holidays makes you feel like you're entering the world of "The Nutcracker" just with live jazz during the weekend brunch hours. The only "issues" we ran into was not getting our bread without requesting and the live music was just a tad too loud. That's it--not enough to keep us from returning, which we plan on it soon!

Yelp
I'm going to start off this review with the recognition that this is my 12 year as a yelp elite, and I've heard all sorts of jokes about why would anyone spend the time writing reviews just so they can complain about restaurants. But this mess is the whole point. Reviews are a wonderful way to make other diners, aware of the strengths and weaknesses of a restaurant, and also a way to communicate with management so that they can continue improve and reward those who are great brand ambassadors. For Buckhead, life restaurants, I've gone to bistro Niko for a dozen of his 13 years. We live nearby and this is a biweekly destinations for us either personally or professionally. Obviously, the the decor is excellent, very comfortable and inviting. management is exceptional and prove that as they manage through the very trying Covid period and subsequent demonstrations that left Buckhead with many broken windows unable to open businesses. Part of what marks managements exceptionalism is that they kept many of their staff employed during these trying times. I'd like to call out two tonight who are fantastic. Raphael had been with BN for a decade. He's super attentive and always remembers my daughter and wife. We are a bilingual household and he will toss some Spanish to my youngest while greeting me in English. He has brought her a small side of fries (proactively as our meals were not lining up ) and cookies from the kitchen at others. He's a gem and the ideal of what restaurants need: professionals. Mesti has helped us many times but tonight she did again. She I always a breath of fresh air. Super nice. She has just the right touch of being super attentive but not interjecting herself into the experience. I've dined a lot of exceptional restaurants, and she has the touch of the best of the best. So listen the food is great, but I wanted to highlight the people tonight. Go try the food yourself!!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a friend and there was such a nice Parisian feel to the restaurant. The waitress was so great and gave us incredible recommendations. They also provide complimentary bread and butter which was sooo good. We had the tartar and truffle mushroom tarte as an appetizer. The flavors were so fresh and memorable. Our main was also incredible. The desserts were the only items that were okay. I would've opted out of the desserts.

Yelp
We came here for a friends birthday brunch. It was uncomfortable warm inside. We had to ask if they found turn on the AC. Our server seemed a bit rushed and wasn't very attentive, but food was good

Yelp
Went to bistro niko yesterday to meet one of my partners family members! The service and the food was outstanding. For drink i got the nouvelle vie which was a fresh gin cocktail, not too sweet not too acidic. It was so refreshing! For food, my partner is gluten free and he had sooo many options to choose from. Both him and his aunt got the fresh trout from a georgia which came with potatoes and green beans! They both absolutely devoured it. I got the chicken bourgeoisie! everything was delicious! The only reason giving 4 stars and not 5 is because we were sat near a window and we were incredibly hot during the whole dinner. Also i wish they had better bathrooms. But the food, drinks, and service were definitely 5 stars!

Yelp
oui oui! Beautiful and quaint french restaurant nestled in the busy city of Atlanta. Absolutely stunning job decor. The second you walk in, you're transported to Paris. Ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night, or luxurious dinner with friends. Be prepared to loosen that belt a notch, they aren't afraid of using butter here. I came with a large party of 12 for a birthday reservation. We were seated quite quickly and the accommodations were fine. Our server was quick and efficient. Nobody's glass of water ever reached the bottom before he was back to refill it. Everybody within the restaurant looked as if they were completely enjoying themselves. Navigating the menu wasn't very hard, a few dishes I was unfamiliar with, but who isn't a fan of Google anyways?! Settled on the Bronzino and was a little let down. According to the photos I saw here on yelp, most people received a larger portion than I. The fish was cooked perfection with a nice crispy skin. It was laid a top a bed of wilted spinach which I personally felt was saturated in too much butter. Flavor was good and accompanied with three small fingerling potatoes. the portion was pretty small overall. Overall, our party seemed pleased with their food choices. We had an array of duck, shrimp pasta, veal tenderloin and even the coq au vin. Would suggest coming with a hefty budget so that you may try some of the tantalizing appetizers and gorgeous cocktails!

Yelp
Great food that's a little out of the ordinary steak / seafood Buckhead rut. You really just kind of cannot go wrong with Bistro Niko. Prices aren't that high either but it's still classy. A very good 2nd, 3rd, 4th date kind of place.

Yelp
3.5! Atmosphere/service: our waitress was amazing! I wish I remembered her name, but she was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Valet parking is $2 which will be cheaper than trying to park in the garage (~$12). Valet can provide change, the restaurant is a cash-less place I came to find out when trying to get change to tip lol. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the holiday season with ornaments and lights. Such an amazing atmosphere and so cute! Food/price: they have complimentary bread service with butter. Their drinks menus have a lot of wine to choose from as well as beer and some cocktails. I had: - Nouvelle Vie ($15): gin, elderflower, cucumber. Refreshing and delicious, I enjoyed my drink - Au Poivre Burger ($19): peppercorn crusted, mushroom, truffle essence, gruyere, brandy pepper aioli, BBC bun with pomme frites. The fries were crispy and hot, freshly made. My burger was cooked how I liked it. The peppercorn taste was definitely apparent and the truffle was barely there. I thought it was a solid burger - tasted better the next day for me lol. - Baba Au Ruhm ($9): brioche in rum syrup, apricot coulix, Chantilly cream. I thought it would be better than it was - Profiteroles: we got this for free to celebrate my friend's birthday! Choux pastry, vanilla ice cream, bitter chocolate sauce, almonds - it was DELICIOUS. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
This was my first time tasting French Cuisine and this location did not disappoint! The restaurant is gorgeous, once you are inside it's liek you are really in France, there are plenty seating areas, the meju is diverse and everything was phenomenal! My favorite appetizer was the french pizza with mushroom and truffle essence, it was thin, crispy and the truffle gave it such a nice after taste. I had the cog au vin, a traditional french dish and it was amacing, the chicken was juicy and the vegetables were tender You can't miss it!
