I had been Curious about this spot for a long time now. I ride by regularly on my way home from work. I was told it was black owned and I wanted to support them because of that. So this evening I actually stopped in, and just made it, as the young lady quickly volunteered as I searched for my selections. After looking over the menu, I went with the Salmon Steak platter, I ordered three of them. I got home, tired and hungry and ready for something tasty. The Salmon steak was seasoned to perfection. Why the 3 stars? Well, although the taste didn’t disappoint, the skimpiness of my sandwich did. Out of the 3 steaks I ordered, only one was actually as expected, filled and overflowing with meat. The other two were very skimpy hardly enough on the whole sandwich to fill one half, I winded up cutting each half in half to make it feel like a full steak sandwich- the bread was way more than needed for the small amount of meat. Paying close to $50.00 for 3 steak platters With just fries, I would have thought that they each would have been filled nicely. — I will check this place out again- please do check this place out-they are always busy, so they are doing a few things right- perhaps an off night excited about closing?!? Just be sure when you do support this Black owned business, that your salmon steak is a full steak and not a half- a friendly note: I’d love to experience a little more customer service from the front staff. For my first time there they weren’t as welcoming as businesses usually are. Lastly, I really appreciate when restaurants have their kitchen staff with hair coverings, or hair pulled tightly. Stray random hair strands in food have a way of reversing an appetite. All in all, a fair experience, the steak was favored by all. Good luck to this place! I will be back again- next time with my measuring cup. JK
