Bistro Popot

Classy bistro in the center of Lahti that seems to be very popular. Couldn’t get the same day booking, but they keep space for walk ins at the bar. A good selection of cocktails, decent wine list by the glass and most importantly - elevated and very delicious food. Probably the best dinner I had during the weeklong trip in Finland.

This place was quite a treat. The atmosphere was classy yet welcoming. It’s not a big establishment, so dining here is more of an intimate experience. Perfect for a nice dinner date. The bar was extensive. The menu seemed to be mostly drinks, but we just came to try the food. Virpi was our server and she was so sweet and friendly. Virpi was very welcoming, upbeat and provided excellent service. We had the sampler appetizer plate for two people, and it was exquisite. And the bbq pork belly plate was very tasty. We were too full for any desert. I am used to excellent service in Los Angeles, CA. It’s nice to see Popot offers the same. 5 stars.

Found this place on Tripadvisor with really good reviews so I’d thought I’d try it out, glad I did, it did hold up to the high reviews. The ambiance of this place was really relaxed and welcoming. This place would work well for both dinner for two, group of friends or taking clients out for dinner. Excellent food and service! Will be coming back here again on future business trips (or is tomorrow too soon?)

Fantastic delicious dishes, even more fantastic service, restaurant looks nice inside, quite a decent wine collection, ability to provide nut and pineseed free dish. Waiting for a second visit!

Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, nice staff and surprisingly large portions. Good food and an excellent wine selection, we liked the wine tasting menus really nice. A slight issue with the quality of the meat (the taste was really good) in our entrecote was addressed promptly and professionally by the staff.

Great everything. Menu is very simple, staff polite, portions and their sizes accordingly, price is quite ok in the current economy. Bon appetit!

Great food in relaxed atmosphere. Works also for bigger groups.
