Absolutely excellent for dinner. Lovely, cosy vibe with a nice buzz. Food was spectacular, I had the 8 day slow cooked beef for a main and an île flottante for dessert, which was my first time but quickly made it a personal favourite. The wine was exceptional and the service could not be faulted. 10/10.

Amazing service, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Kudos to the owner. Highly recommended.

Google
Friendly small pastry shop with sandwhiches on French baguette and great looking pastries. Wish my waist could handle sampling all the pastries. Shop was a short walk from our hotel. When the shop owner had a slight break in customers, she stopped and chatted with us - my wife trying her high school French and the owner her English.

Super kind seller, flavorful food and huge desserts! I recommend!

I recently stopped by for lunch, eager for an authentic French dining experience, and was warmly welcomed by Marcela and Jose. They were not only excellent hosts but also incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. I began with the Onion Soup, which was rich and flavorful, followed by the Boeuf Bourguignon. While the beef was tender, the portion was a bit small and could have used a touch more seasoning. The meal ended on a high note with a delightful Crème Brûlée. Service was prompt and attentive, though the prices leaned toward the higher side. Surprisingly, for a Friday lunch, the restaurant was quite quiet. Despite a few minor details, I would definitely return.

Had a lovely dinner with family here. Not cheap, but also not too expensive. Staff is friendly, not all speak English but they try. All the plates were good and tasteful. Recommend to go here.

It was an absolute pleasure to dine in bistro 31. The staff were fabulous. We were in a hurry for a show so could only have a mains. It was my favourite meal of the trip.

The staff at this restaurant provide an amazing customer service which really made our first night in Paris special. They have a few vegetarian options that are delicious. Staff were attentive and offered help to understand the menu. I ordered a wine which was forgotten but I didn't mind as it was very busy, but the waiter was so apologetic and even brought us a free dessert on the house. Amazing food, atmosphere and people. A must visit!

Yelp
Quirky French bistro with traditional, well prepared dishes, quick service and good wine list. Excellent beef stew and eggplant.

Yelp
Great place to sit out and enjoy a great meal... Buddy of mine had the Veil which was lacking in flavor, not all that great he said. I had the Hamburger (Well Done)..it was good. Other than that it was just another night in París...guess we should of gone w/ the Plat du Jour..

Yelp
Our best meal in Paris. Thank you fellow Yelpers for the great recommendation. Upon arrival we were greeted with two glasses of champagne. Once we got to the table, they brought out a small plate of deli meat and olives. All this before we looked through the menu. The server knew we only spoke English - made us feel at ease by going over the specials in English (the menu was in French and English). We ordered the following: Tomato salad - slices of different colored tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar and topped with thin shavings of parmesan cheese - super fresh and tasty Lamb shank - generous size cut served with string beans and roasted potatoes Truffle raviolis in truffle cream sauce - totally out of this world. Can we say truffle overload? Overall, great food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tuesday night and you need reservations. It's that good. Got away with it because I was alone and ate at the bar. Very nice burrata salad. Fresh tomato and arugala. Simple but just right. With a good Medoc you wash it down. OK. So no annoying TV blasting sports or news. People were actually talking and enjoying each other's company. Even talking and joking with an American stranger. Have to return for further evaluation.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant in Paris - I've been eating there for years. Best steak tartare, friendly staff and a nice terrace in the summer. Can get VERY crowded - even on weeknights - and you'll be packed in so I prefer to get there early (19h30). Definitely make a reservation.

Yelp
Wonderfully dinner. Sat at the bar because I was seul. Service was friendly and engaging. Speaking some French will help with that. Started with a tataki tuna entree, then filet dorade plat that was really nice. Served with some sort of sweet picante or salsa that really brought the dorade filet to life. Haricots vert and sweet peas accompaniment was a nice pairing. For dessert French toast with chantilly on the side and a subtle caramel sauce on the toast. Petit déjeuner for dessert! Barman gave me a nice French chablis with the Dorade. This place also has Hendricks gin and started the whole affair with a G&T with concombre . Wonderful dinner. I have to comeback to Paris next week. Eating here again. Suggest you try this place. You'll be pleased.

Yelp
OMG.... the lamb confit that I had was over the top. The tuna tataki appetizer rivaled it and the truffle ravioli that our son had was just a step behind. Busy French non tourist bistro... service was polite but efficient and no more than necessary. They handled my lack of French fluency without complaint. The food is the star here.

Yelp
"B31" started off very nice with everything one would consider when thinking of dining in Paris. Food was delicious and wait staff were very pleasant, that was until we could not finish our main course (an appetizer and other offerings included with the meal). After that the waiter became short and not as friendly as though we had insulted him for not finishing all of our pasta plates (which we asked for take away to complete later). This totally turned us off of the location as a for sure return visit, which is a shame because it was excellent cuisine. Note for those looking to dine here, make sure that you order what you know you can eat entirely, otherwise expect to be treated as dogs.

Yelp
Amazing. My sister and I ate here on our first night in Paris as it is close to our hotel. The food was incredible and the waiter took his time to explain the menu in English which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we were greeted with cured meat, champagne and bread. Also, we were given limoncello and Eiffel Tower key chains upon leaving, which was cute. We loved our time here!

Yelp
This is what every neighborhood bistro should be -- warm, inviting atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and staff that just light up your night with their hospitality. We got in without a reservation on a very busy night, but they still managed to find seating for us. They serve the freshest (and most perfectly seasoned) beef tartare here (get the B31 version). Go for the daily specials if you can. The maitre d' speaks English, thank goodness! And the best part is they serve every customer who walks in the door a little glass of champagne to say hello!

Yelp
Bistrot 31 was by far the best meal we ate in Paris. Being Canadian and not speaking French very well, we had already experienced so much animosity towards the English. Bistrot 31 completely shattered our previous notions, they were beyond accommodating by translating the entire menu and explaining each dish to us in detail, even showing us dishes other people had ordered. We had the Angus beef dish as well as fish, both were phenomenal. They had an excellent wine menu. The atmosphere was warm and friendly as the staff continually took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of champagne and a salami platter. Also upon leaving we were given a complimentary cocktail. A reservation is a must as it got busier as the night went on. You need to eat here. Period.

Yelp
Excellent food, service, price, atmosphere. They offer each patron a glass of sparkling and some French salami for the "aperitif". For dinner, we ordered the beef carpaccio with burrata, the beef tartare and one of the special of the day. All the dishes were big, tasty and filling. We shared two desserts: the nutella fondant and the raspberry clafoutis. Both delicious and enough to share. Their prices are reasonable for the district and the restaurant is constantly busy. It is small so you might want to make a reservation before going. Highly recommend the place.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was superb, atmosphere was perfectly French! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Paris ... and this time we'll make a reservation so they don't have to rearrange to squeeze us in! (so kind of them, but we almost missed out because of failing to plan!)

Yelp
Finding quality food with large portions and friendly service is rare in Paris. You found all 3 and more with Bistrot 31!!
