Bistrot de Paris

"Sitting out on the front terrace of this restaurant, set in a charming little alleyway, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’re in a romantic, secretive part of Paris. It has both the atmosphere and the cuisine of a Parisian bistro; the honest cooking adheres to French techniques but with a nod to Brazilian produce. In 1990, its renowned French chef, Alain Poletto, won the 'best technique' prize at the Académie Nationale de Cuisine as a result of his research into sous-vide cooking." - Michelin Inspector

This is definitely a must if you’re visiting São Paulo. The food here is delicious. Impecable technique and with a hint of innovation in some of the ingredients. The place is not too large, service is friendly and polite. I tried the cassoulet, which was very very nice. For dessert I had the Mille feuilles, which was absolutely delicious.

Very nice Michelin star French restaurant, good hospitality of the manager Ezequiel. The Confit duck is a must try, the lamb also fantastic.

Google
Nice suprise in São Paulo. This restaurant is located in a cute corridor with several other nice little restaurants. Service was excellent, oysters good, foie Gras and crepe suzette. Did not like so much the sauce of the steak au poivre and the oil where the fries were fried. Nevertheless recommend this place. Last and not least it's dog friendly.

Google
We found a slice of Paris in São Paolo. Great lunch!!! Fresh oysters, salad with melted chevre and charcuterie. Fabulous mussels mariniere with fries, Pear tarte tartine with fresh cream.and vanilla ice cream.

Google
A real hidden gem. On the expensive side, but worthwhile if you want a delicious French-Brazilian experience. From the couvert, the oysters, the house-made IPA, main menu (we had fish) and exquisites desserts, everything was perfect.

Google
Exceptional. Had a wonderful dining experience here. The place is extremely cute, it’s located inside this open space, and it reminds you of being in a tiny European village (like in France). The starter I took was the Burrata; absolutely delicious with some of the best pesto. As a main dish I took the Black Angus meat and it was very good with tasty potatoes as a side dish. Just be warned: if you are not particularly hungry you can perfectly do with just a starter or a main dish as the starters are way bigger than usual. Waiting time is extremely high; it is also very hard to get a table outside (much more beautiful than inside) so try to reserve.

Excellent little corner with amazing ambience and service, a bit on the expensive side but well worth the money. Try out their wine selection, and cheeses. Overall it was a great experience

Google
Super neat place. We had a bit of a hard time given you have to walk past 3 other places to find it. We were just there for evening snacks and desert.

Yelp
The food was prepared well, but the treatment we received from the waiters and staff was very rude and unprofessional. We were disrespected and not treated like what we paid for. Would never return.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. It's like you're in a cozy french alleyway. Pablo was a great server. This is an outstanding place for executive lunch and dessert. I wouldn't recommend the couvert. It's $18 for goat cheese + bacalhau + chicken liver pate (similar to foie gras) in Port wine. The whole assortment was interesting, but they have a single type of french bread which was bland. Appetizers * Cheese Salad (Salada ao queijo St Marcelin Empanado com nozes) was good, but I wouldn't get it again. The fried cheese was very interesting touch * Tartines were very good, I'd recommend. They had a thin crunchy toast base, and the toppings were lively and tasty. Dessert * Excellent place for dessert, everything we had was outstanding * The Tarte tatin was very good. The apples had a balance between firmness and softness that was extremely good. The tarte crust was thin and soft. * Café gourmand - comes with a creme brulee, chocolate mousse and a macaroon. Probably the best chocolate mousse I've ever had. The texture is amazing. They said the mousse was the main house dessert based off an 80 year old recipe.

Yelp
Bistrot de Paris is a small, authentic French bistro, which sits at the end of an alley in Sao Paulo. As you approach the venue, the façade looks almost as if you've stumbled on to a movie film set. This is the 21st century, so you can see a movie pretty much anywhere and anytime. What's a lot more difficult to find in Sao Paulo, amidst a veritable sea of sushi bars, pizza joints, and tourist-trap eateries, is a a quality restaurant venue. Bistrot de Paris is such a place. The menu is well presented and exceptionally well prepared, the menu is varied, and the ambiance is a pleasure of low music and soft lighting. In my experience, the prices here are a little high even for Sao Paulo, but I suggest your spoil yourself - the excellent wine list and delightful menu here are completely worth the occasional splurge :-)

Yelp
For someone who has lived in Paris for 10 years and in São Paulo for almost a year and tried many great restaurants here, I can safely say this is the closest experience to eating in a French bistro in Paris. The notable difference is that the waiters here are actually NOT rude like they tend to be in Paris!

Yelp
Bistrot de Paris is a great little French restaurant nestled in a tiny vila just far enough from the street to practically forget you're in São Paulo. Besides the great food throughout, from appetizers all the way through to dessert, and high-quality wine list (they also have a full bar), the highlight was the great service. the entire time the waiter made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable dining experience, and was more than happy to answer questions and offer advice. While the place isn't exactly cheap, at least you get what you pay for. I would definitely go again.
