A gem we stumbled upon in the bucolic, provençal village of Saint Trinit. This was our favorite restaurant in France, and we will be sure to revisit upon our return. Our first night, we came into town late and starving. The chef was kind enough to let us order at 9 pm. The gazpacho was a refreshing delight. The beef tartare was excellent, the portion so large I couldn’t finish it. My husband said his burger was the best he’s ever had. For dessert, we had a lavender crème brûlée, which was excellent.
We returned for lunch and had the fish special and a crispy Caesar salad, both incredible. For dessert, a scoop of violet ice cream, and a profiterole. We would’ve returned again the next day, because we wanted to try the duck and the lamb, but the kitchen wasn’t open yet and we were due to leave town. We’ve been raving about this restaurant since we left.
