"In a cobbled street in the old town near the Basilique St Epvre, this is a lovely, relaxed little spot run by a young chef who has already travelled the world. Taking the form of a lunchtime set menu and a slightly more expensive à la carte menu in the evening, the dishes served in this bistro are generous and appetising – think fried artichokes, Cantal cheese foam and confit egg yolk or ribeye steak (for an extra charge) with faro and broccoli risotto. What a great place! Tiny little restaurant but with tables in the street outside. Service was friendly and helpful but the food was outstanding. Real thought has been put into every course. I had the chilli cheese starter followed by the gnocchi. Although I’m not a vegetarian, I really appreciated how delicious this dish was and not just a run of the mill vegetarian option. I’d highly recommend you try this place but you’d better book or you may not get in - it’s clearly very popular (for good reason)

J’ai découvert le Bistrot Gros en avril 2025 et depuis, c’est devenu l’une de mes adresses préférées ! Les associations de saveurs sont à tomber, tout est juste, savoureux, et plein de personnalité. Les produits sont frais, locaux, bien travaillés, et la formule du midi est plus qu’abordable au vu de la qualité. En plus, les serveurs sont toujours agréables et souriants. J’aime beaucoup trop cette adresse, un vrai coup de cœur que je recommande les yeux fermés !!!
