"A lovely place in the southern reaches of the 14tharrondissementnear Métro Plaisance. The Spanish chef carefully selects his ingredients, with a preference for small-scale producers in the Paris region, and instils them with various influences (Asian, Mediterranean etc). Laid-back service." - Michelin Inspector

Google
A perfect neighbourhood restaurant which served our favourite meal in Paris! Food was sensational and can see why it is in the Michelin Guide! Located in quaint area and cute setting. Great wine which they also sell to takeaway. Service was excellent and hope to be back in the future!

Google
Excellent food and wine. All I would say is the service was a little serly and this could be improved. Also to add to the atmosphere either all the lights on the tables should be on or switch to candles. I guarantee this will improve the atmosphere and get more customers in from the street.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Bistrotters. The staff was amazing and attentive. The food was incredible. Definitely will be coming back the next time we are in Paris

Google
Super nice, simple, indoor-outdoor bistro on a quiet street. Excellent, high end food, friendly service and reasonable prices. This place isn't cheap but serves excellent food, fantastic wine and real Parisian experience. Strongly recommended.

Excellent experience, fresh and delicious food and friendly personal- you can feel that they value their customers and love their work. Duck leg was amazing, perhaps the best duck in my life. Restaurant is away from noisy area

Was looking for an authentic French restaurant and found Bistrotters - Beautiful food in a cozy atmosphere with great service, and wine! Save room for dessert!!!

Google
We had a great dining experience - recommend booking and to expect a relaxed dinner service. We had a fantastic and enthusiastic host who managed the service from start to end by himself. We had a great red wine recommendation and enjoyed our delicious 3 course meal. The French toast was our favourite! - so compliments to the entire team for a lovely evening. ☺️

Google
It was my 3rd visit and definitely will not be the last one. They have an excellent menu, which changes every certain time so it’s great to find new options. The food is consistently delicious and the attention was impeccable. The best Pain Perdu of Paris!!!

Yelp
I was lucky to receive a recommendation from a stranger the night before and discovered this gem for myself. They do a wonderful 2 course (starter and main for €33) or 3 course (add dessert for €39). I highly recommend the octopus or foie gras (+€6) starters. If you cannot choose, you can add a 2nd starter for €14. The octopus is extremely tender and well prepared and seasoned, served over a toasted focaccia bread with a Mediterranean style tomato-olive-anchovy tapenade and micro-green salad. The foie gras has a surcharge but this will be one of the best you can get in Paris. It is a special recipe where the duck liver is gently braised or glazed in a red cherry wine. The texture is supple and flavorful. No hint of dryness. They serve it with a special red spice (anise?, cayenne?) from the south of France, as well as coarse salt so you can enhance the flavor profile as you see fit. The first 2 plates paired nice with a soft and smooth white Riesling from Alsace. Yelp photos of the crispy pork belly sold me before I arrived. The main dish did not disappoint and may be one of the best prepared crispy pork belly dishes I've ever had. The cut is 75% meat with reaches a perfect level of tenderness. The fat is well rendered and you get 3 textures, crispy top skin, a light layer of creamy fat, between a couple layers of tender braised pork. Cider vinegar roasted vegetables help to cut the fat and create a balanced flavor profile. The only thing I didn't care for was the thin cut sweet potato chips. They were crunchy and beautiful but they tasted like the fry oil need to be filtered or changed. They have a couple of desserts that caught my eye. There's a French toast that has been a mainstay on the menu for over 10 years. However, I got the chocolate passion namelaka which delivers chocolate 5 distinct ways. Your mouth will enjoy the adventure. These last 2 dishes paired well with a red Richaud cairanne from Rhône. Bon appetit!!!

Yelp
My husband and I found Bistrotters while planning our trip to France from the US; it was one of the activities that we were most looking forward to and it did not disappoint. We started with the squid and foi followed by pork belly and quail. We finished our meal with the cheese course. The wine list had high quality wines at reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend others to visit this jewel.

Yelp
Excellent. The amuse bouche was a spoon of carrot puree, which was sweet with a hint of citrus. The date started with the Ajo Blanco ("white") Gazpacho with tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. It was beautiful, it was loaded with garlic, and it was fantastic. My starter was a delicate tuna tataki, which was also beautiful and delicious. My main was the duck leg confit with citrus jus, glazed carrots, and chanterelles - excellent. The date's main, the artichoke and basil Cannelloni with corn purée and green beans, was less successful. Nothing bad about it, but nothing great about it either; and the green beans were of poor quality - stringy, dried out, and flavorless. I finished with the cheese trio, which came with lightly dressed greens and an unidentified 'dirt' crumble - all excellent. The hero, however, was the "Acclaimed French Toast" with salted butter caramel sauce and crispy chocolate. This was divine.

Yelp
Great little restaurant. Gourmet French food. We had appetizers and entree. They had an American menu and very friendly and spoke English.

Yelp
The service, the food everything is incredible!!!! If you in the area you must stop in. I started with the scallop avocado carpaccio a little slimy but good. I ordered the beef and beer stew. It's not what you think it is but it's delicious!!! Then I ordered the lemon curd and very tart buuuut its was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate!! Ordered a bottle of wine of course! My coworkers and myself enjoyed ourselves and had great food and wonderful laughs from the time we walked in!

Yelp
First three course meal in Paris. It was great. They have English menu and the waiters are all friendly. All courses we ordered are surprisingly delicious. Great wine recommendation! 8/10

Yelp
Awesome, awesome, awesome restaurant. Service: Two servers who both speak English very well. They were very helpful in explaining dishes in English since their menu is on a chalkboard. They were attentive to checking in with us, refilling our water and wine and were great a selecting a wine for us. Food: Awesome combination of flavors, plating and designing was beautiful, and we really enjoyed our meal from beginning to end. The best dessert I had in Paris during my week stay was here: the French Toast dessert. I could eat plates of that. Reservations are made 12 days in advance only through their website and be expected to reconfirm your reservations through email 2 - 3 day before. An email will be sent for you to recofirm, no need to contact restaurant. I am surprised by the reviews with lower stars, sorry that they had a disappointing time but this place offered me one of the best meals in Paris. I would dine here again in a heartbeart. Atmosphere: Very casual, jeans are fine. Very laid back. The menu changes once a month, approximately. I would definitely come here again, and highly recommend stopping by for a great experience. I have nothing negative to say about Bistrotters only that I wish I could dine here in the USA.

Yelp
This restaurant is a great example of fine french cuisine. Service is quick impeccable. Atmosphere is cosy, almost intimate. The food is marvelously good.

Yelp
A true gem to Paris! Perfect food for tourist to try the local cuisine at a fair price. A cozy place perfect for celebrations, intimate dates, with amazing staff! The fois gras was so flavorful and paired well with dressings! The chef was so kind and sent the tasting of the octopus starter to our table for us to try! The French toast was the perfect way to end the meal, the chocolate melted from the warm toast with the perfect amount of authentic sweetness. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This restaurant is a true gem in my box of Parisian jewels. Down south in the 14th, it's honestly refreshing to have a rad place to go that's NOT in the 10th or 11th (so over it, there are so many other wonderful neighborhoods!). Bistrotters is a little French restaurant with round wooden tables and brasserie chairs, it's cozy and small on a calm street. It has a changing menu, with a couple of choices per course: meat, fish, vegetarian... there's something for everyone. The dishes are unique and classic at the same time, with quality ingredients and care in terms of presentation. The wine list is exhaustive, you're bound to find something delicious with the help of the kind staff. Very very reasonable for the quality and deliciousness that this place exudes (set menu of entrée/main course or main course/dessert for 30€). Their desserts you can't miss, one time I had the pleasure of ordering a cheesecake au Saint Nectaire, and the salted caramel profiteroles. Classics with a touch of something new. Very much recommended also for out-of-towners. Do reserve, they have two dinner services each evening.

Yelp
My husband and I had such an amazing experience at Bistrotters. Walking into Bistrotters feels like you're walking into someone's home. There are wooden tables and chairs throughout, with a wine bar at the entrance, a chalkboard menu, and books on the shelves. During the day, light floods the space through the windows that line the front of the store. The restaurant was cozy and chic, classy without putting on airs. I really couldn't imagine visiting Paris and not having a meal at this bistro. The food was beautifully presented, well-proportioned, and simply delicious. The service was kind, accommodating, and quick. Our meal - Vegetable tart: fresh and light, intricately dressed with shaved, crispy purple potatoes. Great combination of tastes and textures. Penny bun mushroom soup with boiled egg: impressive depth of flavor. Lamb: well-cooked and the vegetables adorning it were a nice touch. Pork belly: what a perfect dish, the crispy pork belly well accompanied with the rich sauce that I think has a hint of star anise. Chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet: a sweet end to a lovely meal, the decadent cocoa flavor smartly paired with the bright flavor of raspberry. I recommend this bistro to anyone telling me they're visiting Paris and they always come back to me with gratitude and rave reviews. An absolute must if you're lucky enough to visit Paris.

Yelp
Intimate, curated, special, these are the words evoked by this little gem of a restaurant. The menu embellishes on the French classics, elevating them and providing the sort of dining experience your bread and butter foodie hopes for in a gastronomic free for all such as Paris. On the menu tonight was a veal chop served with Salsify, yes salsify, an edible plant as uncommon as dragon's blood in the U.S. Also, pork belly, perfectly roasted and served in a sauce as delicate as liquified silk. There shortly followed a dessert of pineapple Charlotte and a caramel and chocolate French toast that left my sugar craving son in a state of ephemeral bliss. Harmony of flavor, of design, of presentation appeared to be paramount at Bistrotters and this was clearly evident. Bistrotters leaves a delicious stain that cannot easily be washed away. Can't wait for our next visit.

Yelp
Yelpers abroad: look no further. One of the best value to cost propositions in all of Paris, Bistrotters was our last night meal during our Paris trip earlier this month and turned out to be a highlight of the trip. They offer simple and affordable prix-fixe options (we chose the 36 Euro menu and added on a few things that had surcharges, like the foie gras...more on that later) in a cozy, homey setting. Tu ne parles pas Français? Pas de problème! The wait staff is fluent in English and without a hint of attitude whatsoever. The foie gras (a slight additional charge to the menu du jour) was a highlight for me. Rosy, pink and delicious with all the right fats, it was quite honestly the best foie gras I sampled in Paris - perhaps in my life. Served with a lovely little compote, it was the perfect balance of sweet and umami/deep, fatty flavor. I had the magret de canard (duck breast) as my main, and it was perfectly cooked to medium rare without a hint of gristle. The sweet potato side was very unique for French cuisine but an utterly perfect complement to the crisp skinned, moist, and delicious duck breast. Other items my dining companions and I sampled as part of our menus included the octopus (again, one of the best I'd had) and the pork belly (delicious.) Since it's a daily menu it changes from time to time, I wouldn't stress that at all. Just put your trust in these talented chefs and enjoy what's on offer that season. They know how to steer you right, and the table staff was quick with recommendations on food and wine. For dessert we all had the chocolate fondant, which takes a little longer to prepare since it's made to order. It's totally worth the wait and if you're in a rush, I'd advise you to let the server know that you want it around the time the main courses are delivered. Getting there? It's in the 14th so a little off the beaten tourist path, but that's okay! You can make an afternoon of it, starting at the Jardin du Luxembourg and working your way southwest through Montparnasse, the catacombes, and one of the most truly Parisian neighborhoods in the left bank. Paris is full of bike sharing programs and you can try Mobike (our favorite), Ofobike, or Velib - all accessible through a simple app download to your iPhone - as a means of getting over there. The bonus of biking is that it helps you work off that foie gras afterward! A+++++++++ to this terrific little bistro. It's one of the best in Paris and you owe it to yourself to make it over!

Yelp
Let me start by saying that this was the best service by far that we have received in Europe this trip. We arrived for lunch at 12:45 and was greeted by one if the owners. He was so nice and happy to see us. He kindly explained the menu to us and even brought us an English menu. We decided to go with the 2 course menu. Starter and entree. I got the mushroom soup with fried, soft boiled, egg. It was Devine. My wife got the vegetable tart. She loved it. Main course I got, at the recommendation of the gentleman helping us, the seared ahi with noodles. It was amazing. My wife had the pork belly. It was so good. Root vegetables and braised pork belly. All in all we would definitely go again next time we are in Paris.

Yelp
We went here for our 25th anniversary dinner, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is small, so get a reservation in advance, but the prices are very reasonable, and the food is spectacular. Plus our waiter was so gracious and entertaining. The Foie Gras was the best I've ever had. My wife had a simple appetizer of cooked veggies, which was presented beautifully and amazed her palate. My veal chop was perfectly prepared and very tasty. And the Pain Perdu dessert was to die for. Can't recommend this place more highly!

Yelp
Simply put : AMAZING. We went with the 3 course 36 euro option starting off with the octopus salad and the seasonal roasted vegetables . I was worried the octopus would be chewy but it was served ceviche style and it was anything but that. Tender practically melt in your mouth octopus with layers of flavor coming from the aioli and vegetables it was served on long with. There's no going wrong with roasted veggies and they were no let down . For the main course we had the steak ( forgot what cut it was) and the duck breast. If deciding between the two go with the duck breast. Perfectly seared fat that is heaven with every bite. The steak was great but between the two the duck won , and the roasted lemony vinaigrette Romain that went with it was out of this world! Back to the steak really quick...it was served with a side of fries and seaweed...yes seaweed which I though was odd and definitely didn't match the flavor profile , at least not for me . Dessert ...oh sweet sweet dessert . We ordered the pan perdu and the chocolate fondant with peanut butter. Pan perdu hands down the best thing I have EVER eaten . Chocolate fondant with peanut butter and vanilla ice cream was delicious but go with the pan perdu . If any of the judges from chopped had this pan perdu they would all agree that YEA you can make french toast for dessert! I will be revisiting each time I'm in Paris. Thank you for the epic meal!

Yelp
The French toast brioche with caramel is out of this world! After having this, I feel like I've been eating French toast wrong my entire life living in Canada. A definite must try here. The service is awesome with younger servers who were always on the ball! We had the foie gras and the veal terrine and they were delicious! Also had the lamb, made a different way that we've never had before with a part of the lamb cooked over a puff pastry (sweetbread), and the pork belly was made with a soy reduction base (kind of) but I think it could have been cooked a little longer. I would definitely come back. The restaurant is smaller but very cozy and great wine.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Food is not bad but it doesn't quite meet our expectations. The service was impressive, they treated us as if we were dinning in a 2 stars Michelin restaurant. There were only about 8-10 tables and almost 70% of the customers dinning there were tourists on that evening. The price is very reasonable.
google avatar

Ted H.

Yelp
Casual atmosphere with friendly service and great tasting food. Also, good selection of reasonably priced wines by the bottle. We tried a variety of things, including the veal chop which was juicy and flavorful. The wine we selected went well with everything. The brioche french toast for dessert was the BEST! I definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Kristina H.

Yelp
Sadly, I believe I ate a very different meal than that which was experienced by the Michelin raters, who added this to the Bib Gourmand list. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable of their wine selection. Service was prompt and the space was very nice. Menus in English and French. The food, however, sadly, did not meet expectations. I began with the chef's foie gras, which was nicely-plated and flavorful. Portions were much larger than expected (and perhaps larger than necessary for a set menu). For the second, I ordered the pork belly. An overly-sweet gastric overpowered the dish. The pork belly itself was dry and almost flavorless--I actually added salt! Again, a massive plate filled with vegetables, most of which I chose not to finish. Dessert was chocolate. A very sweet and crunchy vessel (perhaps an overlooked macaroon?) was topped with a sauce-consistencied chocolate and paired with a hazelnut ice cream that had amazing flavor but a gritty texture. I wanted to love this place, but would likely only recommend it for drinks.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
This is a really rather excellent place. The food adds an incredible creativity to French style, making it modern in its outlook, yet retaining traditional intensity of flavours. I would certainly recommend this restaurant happily to anyone who is looking for something very French, yet very different.
google avatar

Minnie M.

Yelp
Such a lovely place! For a casual setting with amazing food (36 Euros for 3 courses!), definitely check this place out, even if it's a bit of a trek. We had the pea veloute with pieces of sashimi and the foie gras as starters, and both were absolutely delicious, the foie gras was our favorite of the two. We then proceeded to the duck and pork loin, both of which were simple and beautifully presented. Although the pain perdu (french toast) caught my eye after looking at other reviews, the roasted pineapple tart was the desert that stood out to me. Overall great value for your money, and a place I'd love to come back to again.
google avatar

Maya G.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were wonderful and Id like to give this place 2 Stars. But the food was just so horrible, I can't. The only thing we liked was the amuse bouche. That was delicious and had us believe we were going to have a great 3 course meal after that. But the food was tasteless, bland, and mushy. I know that the French don't eat spicy food but this really takes the cake. You could at least have some acidity to balance out a dish and more variety in texture. In addition to being bland, the food was mostly mushy and really gross texture wise. Incredible let down for a special occasion.
google avatar

Craig F.

Yelp
If you can, you have to try this place. Very small, maybe a dozen tables. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful (especially nice since my French is pretty much non-existent). We had the escargot, lamb, duck, and brioche with Carmel au neuter sale and chocolate croquant. . In short it was nothing less than perfect. One of my best Resturant experiences. You will not be disappointed. And enjoy! Craig and Lisa (Canada)

Care B.

Yelp
Delicious. 32 Euros for a 3 course meal. Appetizers: escargots on puff pastry was my favorite. Fois Gras was also delicious and they gave a generous portion - tasted rich and sinful on baguette bread. Prawns were delicious too! There were 5 entree choices and delicious desserts. Others have detailed the whole menu so I won't. Email them ahead of time to make a reservation and check your email again in case they ask you to confirm closer to the date. Take the metro, it was a 3 minute walk from the station. This dinner was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. :)

Karsten S.

Yelp
i'm actually surprised that i stumbled over the restaurant section of tripadviser and found out that the apparently most popular restaurant in entire Paris is right around from my place. And indeed it is a very very nice place with a very very developed and creative cuisine and which is why the place has earned its popularity. I particularly like the idea of some friends deciding to open up a restaurant. But there is a downside to it which make me say "i've experienced better" as this is for me a typical tourism-victim. - getting a reservation is a hassle and requires booking looong in advance (!!) - almost or no locals (very touristy feeling in fact) - menu prices are attractive at the first look but only if you stay with the basics. every little extra will cost you quite some extra. What is the point of offering a menu then? I'd even say that this is dishonest in some way. It is surely a great discovery during a weekend trip to France. However i found it to be rather overrated as clearly there are other places that offer more for less. Therefore the 2 out of 5 rating.
google avatar

Oh Trust Me H.

Yelp
Wow. This place is everything a tourist would want in a gourmet French meal...without the enormous prices! I ordered the prefixed menu for 35 euros and paid another 5 euros or so for a full glass of Pinot. For the caliber and quality of my dinner, I could easily pay 100 euros and up at bigger, more reknown restaurants in Paris. Read on. I started with a crab cake appetizer. It was, first of all, 3" across and 2" high. Who does that?! That's huge! This massive crabcake already made a great 1st impression. Then, when I dug my fork into it, huge lumps of fresh crab landed on my fork and straight into my mouth. YUM! The sweetness of the ocean and the tanginess of the dressing was the perfect combination. I think it had some curry powder in it and some relish-ish dressing made with heavy cream. YUM. My main entree was their famous pork belly. IN-CRED-IBLE! I thought I had died and gone to pork belly heaven. The meat just melted in my mouth, while the skin was thick and perfectly crispy. This 4-6 oz serving rested on a bed of caramelized onions, while all of that rested in a dark broth that perfectly balanced fat and flavor. mmmmmm I think this little piggy has been cooking all day. Did I already say "mmmmmm?" Finally, for dessert, I had tiramisu. Yes, an italian dessert, but MAN OH MAN, the French almost do it better! I don't know exactly how to describe it, but the coolness of the cream, the buttery taste of mascarpone, in combo with the double-kick of rum and French-grade espresso....wow wow wow! I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could eat more, but I was so stuffed. If I ever visit Paris again, I will def return. Not only is the food unforgettable, but man....I thiknk the male staff were former models! Do all French men wink at the ladies, or was the bartender just winking at me? ;) [fanning myself...]

Yelp
What a hidden gem in Paris. Bistrotters is slightly off the beaten path, intimate environment, and lovely service. The food was out of this world. Hands down the best I had while traveling in Paris. I wanted to lick my plate. Portions were perfect and the prices were a steal for the quality. My Boyfriend and I had 2 cocktails, a bottle of 2007 Cabernet, and 2 courses for €130. In the US you would pay easily $200 for an average tasting dinner. This place blew me away and will always be a must in future trips to Paris.

Yelp
The best restaurant I went in Paris. Perfect food and perfect service. Decorations are sweet. I will definitely go back if come to Paris again.

Yelp
We traveled with a party of 10, which in Paris is usually a no-no, but we called way ahead and were able to get a reservation. Their bio wine list is excellent and we went with their prix fixe menu. I love that they give you the option of doing 2 or 3 courses (dessert option). We ordered most of the entree's (baby lamb, steak, pork belly, and fish) and virtually everyone ordered the shrimp tempura salad. Service was excellent and I'd definitely go back again. The owners are very attentive and I loved that they all wear unique T shirts.
google avatar

Gus F.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Well worth the trip! Just be sure to make reservations and don't forget to order the pork belly we're still talking about it.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
One of our best meals on the trip! The French toast is out of this world but the two previous courses were incredible. So much flavor in the food! Meat was cooked perfectly! A great deal!

Yelp
One of the finest dining experiences of my life. Tiny restaurant with ax wonderful atmosphere. The owners are front and back. The chalkboard menu is prix fixe for 2 or 3 courses. €27-€32. Everything we dined on was both lovely to look at and amazing to savour. We are made to feel as if we were long lost friends. I had emailed for a reservation 3 weeks ahead of time and regretted not having done do for multiple nights as I was unable to secure another reservation. Multiple people walked in and sadly were turned away. I would not suggest you even try to get a table without advance planning. I could dine here every day.

Yelp
Bistrotters is everything a French bistro should be. It's a small little spot, but the flavors are grand. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely divine. The meal began when the waitress brought out a small cup of foie gras and chantilly, adorned with tiny pieces of toast. I've never had foie gras so light and flavorful. The chantilly complemented the richness of the foie gras so well- a match made in heaven! Next we had the textures of vegetables and all I can say is wow. Who knew vegetables could be so complex and flavorful? I was truly blown away by the vegetable plate, it was one of my favorites of the night. For our main course, we had the ceviche and quinoa, which were both fantastic. We also got a side of frites, which were unlike any I've ever had as well as being the best I've ever had. To finish off the meal, we had the French toast which was absolutely decadent. You can tell that every part of the meal was tended to with great care and artistry- it was the best meal we had in Paris! I will most definitely be returning when I next visit.

Yelp
My wife & I decided to try out Bistrotters based on the stellar reviews on Tripadvisor. While we liked the food OK it was not nearly as outstanding as the reviews make it out to be. The service was good, no complaints there. We had three meals in Paris: Chez Paul, L'Entrecote & Bistrotters. I would recommend in that order. Although there are menus in Paris that are only in French don't be intimidated, most are terms you have heard before if you have been to good restaurants and not just US chains.

Yelp
Food is tastey and intresting.. fresh new... flavorful. The pork stomach is good, and loved the desserts. Service is great here. The owner is very young, honest, upbeat, friendly and outgoing. Willing to fix any problems right away and trying to improve. I hope he does this all the way even when he gets fat old and wealthy. :) As a plus, their toilet area is very clean. Recommended.

Yelp
Amazing food, service and ambiance. Bistrotters is the epitome of modern French cuisine and kind, welcoming service without robbing the bank. We showed up 1 day early for our reservation (yes, we were that excited!) and the owner kindly accommodated us for the first sitting of the night. Bistrotters offers the prix fixe menu with a solid selection of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. The pork belly and pain perdu were heavenly. We also enjoyed a reasonably priced bottle of wine with our meal. Bistrotters is well worth the trip on the metro to the 14ieme arrondissement.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation and had one of the best meals of my life! The food was delicious and the wine pairings were perfect. The menu is simple but innovative and the pain perdu is to die for. Finally, unlike most French restaurants, the service was very friendly and attentive. I will be back!

S. Y.

Yelp
Went here on a recommendation. It was ok. The place is cute and the food nicely plated, but all our dishes were on the salty side. Not sure if this is the norm or if they were having an off day, but I couldn't finish any of the dishes because they were so salty. However, the service was impeccable and wine suggestions were great.

Kevin C.

Yelp
I ate here while visiting Paris and I definitely plan to return. This is a neat little restaurant with excellent food, wine, and service. The pork belly and duck entrees really stood out for me as did the dessert options. The French toast dessert as well as the chocolate plate are not to be missed. Our server gave excellent recommendations and the whole experience was great. 5 stars!

It's a little but out of town but worth it. Great advice and amazing food. The menu for three courses is 37€ or + 30€. Try the brioche and the terrine both winners.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal at Bistrotters! Our favorite dishes were the fois gras, duck, and French toast dessert but everything was good. The staff is quick and friendly, and the price on the 3-course prix fixe was very reasonable. Cozy interior with few tables but a very warm feel.

Yelp
I recently moved to Paris from the US and after months of trying many of the city's restaurants, from regular cafes to Michelin star restaurants, Bistrotters is my absolute favorite. The restaurant is chic but not at all pretentious. Each dish I tried was creative yet classic French at the same time. The servers took care of the wine paring for each dish and it all tasted so good. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I regret having cancelled another restaurant reservation to eat here. So many great restaurants in Paris and so few opportunities to enjoy them. The service and wine were good. The entrees were good although the foie gras was a substantial portion. It would be a good one to share. The egg with smoked haddock was more interesting and good. The meal fell apart with the main courses. Having read all the rave reviews about the pork belly, I ordered that and my spouse ordered the yellowfin tuna. Both were over cooked. In fact the pork may have been cooked days earlier then reheated. The plate also had potatoes and roasted fennel. Unfortunately the pork was not only over cooked but was flat/one dimensional. It needed something to lighten it up. The dessert may have been the best part of the meal. We shared the pain perdu (listed on the English menu as French toast). The thin slices of dark chocolate layer on the hot dessert slowly melted to offset the sweet from the caramel. I don't like leaving bad reviews but it is obvious someone knows what to do in the kitchen but maybe has gotten a bit lazy or bored. Beware.

Yelp
We took a chance and did not have a reservation but just dropped in. They were very accommodating and we had a meal to remember. The staff were so sweet (I don't speak French well at all so they easily switched between languages and made me feel comfortable). They wanted to be sure we enjoyed our meal. We did - incredible food, presentations were beautiful.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by a friend who had come to Paris in the spring and so glad we got to come here! It was our first meal in Paris and it was well worth it. The place itself is tiny but super cute - I'm sure it gets somewhat crowded during the weekends so I would say make a reservation, just in case. They only have a pre-fixe menu where you can either do 2 courses (appetizer + entree or entree + dessert) or the full 3 courses. Since there were two of us, we decided to each do one so we can try an appetizer as well as a dessert without being overly stuffed. We started with the vegetable tart, which was ridiculously good, who would've thought?! For entrees, we got the whiting medallions and the beefsteak - both were delicious and for dessert we got the chocolate ganache - superrrrrr rich! They also had a good selection of wine to choose from, which was great! The service was incredible here. From the time we walked in until the time we walked out, it was perfection. I would definitely come back on our next visit to Paris.

Yelp
Must do. It is a casual place, with amazing dishes. I got the octopus salad, the ribeye, and a cherry sorbet. All three of which surpassed my expectations. Easily, the best meal I have had in Paris. My girlfriend ordered the foie gras, crispy pork, and French toast. All of three of which were also phenomenal. The prices are also very reasonable. If able, it is a must to go.

Yelp
What a treat it was to have lunch here. Impeccable service, incredible food and intricate detail, everyone visiting Paris should visit this place for lunch or dinner.
