Bite Sandwich - Review - Little Havana - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Dominican sandwich spot operates like a ventanita. There’s no dining room—only an outdoor counter that Little Havana locals lean against while they wait for cortaditos and chimi sandwiches. Takeout is an option, but we like to eat at the counter so we can listen to bossa nova and the owner tell the origin story of the chimi sandwich. They happily pull out stools for us loiterers. Bite makes almost everything on the small menu in-house, including their pan de agua with a crunchy crust and fluffy interior. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Food Rundown The Original Bite Chimi The chorizo is juicy, and the crisp cabbage and green tomatoes balance out the richness of the meat. It should be the first order of eating business when you come here. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Chimi Burger It’s like the chimi sandwich, only in burger form. They use a 90/10 ratio of lean-to-fat, so the beef patty is springy and firm—but still a little pink and juicy in the center. It works beautifully with the cabbage, green tomatoes, and onion. There’s a reason why they sell out of it early. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Porchetta Sandwich The porchetta is sliced into thin slivers and each piece is fatty and flavorful. It’s great, but ask for a hot sauce to help balance out the salty pork. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Cheese Balls We can eat fried balls of cheddar like popcorn all day long. If you feel the same way, get these. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings" - Mariana Trabanino

Wow! If I can give this place 10 stars I would! We had 3 different sandwiches and hands down has to be the best sandwich I’ve had in Miami. The bread was delicious and they were not shy on ingredients. And the owner Grace was so sweet and it was so great learning about the place! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area!

This place is a true gem. Family-owned, super clean, and the food? Absolutely amazing. Everything tastes so good and fresh. Grace, the owner, is the heart of the place. She cooks the food herself with his husband and actually comes out to talk to you like family. She made great recommendations and you can tell she really cares.

Lovely local spot, best chimi in Miami ran by some sweet Dominicans that really love what they do. Every sandwich has a story and a great array of flavors, everything we tried was delicious. Great natural juices too if you don't want some Dominican soda.

I was starving and was literally looking for a Bite. I began to drive down SW 1st St and ran into a spot literally called BITE right on the corner. I was attended by Claudio and Grace and what a couple. Super professional, super nice, attentive. The ambient made me feel at home. I was treated like a king! Talking about the food, WOW! The pork can’t be compared else-where. So soft and savory, you guys need to try. I advised the owner I wanted something healthy and he made me a salad bowl with some good pork. It was so good I ended up getting a Chimi Pork 🤤. I tried to eat it as slow as I could cause it was soooo good. I had them with a natural lemonade that omg it was just so FUEGO 🔥! They actually make it all in the spot. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking into a good meal.

What an incredible spot. Over a span of months, I have tried everything on the menu and each item is a HIT with a WOW factor. As a Miami native, I can confirm this is not the norm for many places in the city. This is a must-experience place…the food is spectacular but the service and warmth is also memorable. I recommend everyone I know and everyone that asks me where to go while in Miami to experience this place. I love that they are growing — this small business deserves all of the continued success and recognition headed their way! If I could give 10+ stars, I would.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Service is quick and very friendly. Right in front of Padron Cigars.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! I stopped by Bite Sandwich’s for a quick bite and was blown away by how tasty everything was. The sandwiches are packed with flavor, the ingredients taste super fresh, and the bread is perfectly toasted. You can tell they really care about quality. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place has a cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something delicious and satisfying!

This place opened up next my apartment and needed a quick bite. LET ME TELL YOU, didn’t even know what a Porchetta Sandwich was but won’t forget it now. The staff is some of the most friendly people you will meet. You can order right from their window, even get a coffee and other light bites. The Chimi…WOW. It’s a must try. 5 Stars!!!

Yelp
Lived here 30 years. This is best chimi I've had in Miami hands down. Authentic ventanita vibes, this place is an instant Miami classic. Very kind and sweet people, excellent service. No ground beef here, the patty is a chorizo which is a game changer, really just wow. The green tomato is an authentic touch you don't always find in Miami, it makes the perfect balance. The bread here taste fresh baked and is just wow. They don't do pink sauce they do ketchup, mayo, mustard. Overall, this just became one of my go-to spots.

Yelp
This is a spot I've been wanting to try, and it was everything I expected. I'm a huge fan of sandwiches, so getting to try this Dominican-inspired sandwich shop was perfect. The bread was warm, perfectly toasted, and worked great with the other ingredients. The service was fantastic; the lady at the window was nice and attentive, and I really appreciated her. The shop is located on the corner of 16th Avenue and 1st SW. I'm a Miami native, so you know it's down the street from Yambo. It's a grab-and-go kind of place, and there isn't a natural seating area. But you can ask the owners if you want to eat there, and they'll happily give you one of their own chairs. The service and atmosphere, once again, go above and beyond what you'd expect. 100/10, I would recommend everyone--even if you aren't a fan of sandwiches--to visit this hole-in-the-wall family-owned business.
