Bites in the Boro

This was my first time eating at Bites. The food was good, and the overall decor was beautiful too; more on the college/artsy style, but im an artist, so I love it! I got the chicken Fajita wrap, which was really good, but the chicken could've been seasoned a little more. The fries tasted homemade, and they were also good. I love the fact that their drinks come in a large cup. My friend said she loves coming there to eat, and their onion rings are delicious to her. To me, it's more of a restaurant for college kids, but I did see a family there, but it screams college hang out. They also sell alcoholic drinks, too. The customer service is great too!

Super popular place. Plenty of food variety here to keep everyone in your party happy. The burgers are top notch. During the day the atmosphere is bright with plenty of large windows. Plenty of TVs for sports. We will definately go again.

Service was great. Atmosphere will pick up when college comes. But $15+ for this plate is a little much. Paid for bacon and got one. Chicken tenders were average little small but that’s fine but the fries were really good. I just thought the sandwich was going to be bigger meat wise.

Came for its high reviews in burgers and the food was excellent. It was pretty busy when we came but we got seated and ordered and it came out very fast all things considered. Server was great as well.

We have been going to Bites since the first opened in their smaller location near the hospital. From the beginning the fresh cut fries were what set them apart in Statesboro. We came tonight expecting the same great food and service they are known for. Katie was our waitress and she was wonderful. The fried pickles and cheese sticks were delicious. Our burgers were hot and fresh. My wife’s tequila chicken quesadilla was amazing. However the fries were awful. It seemed as if they were cooked earlier and then refried to reheat them. None of us could eat them. The last two times we have been there have been the same result. We never had this issue when they were in the smaller location and all orders were cooked instantly. I suppose sometimes bigger isn’t always better. It’s sad because at one time they had the best fries in South Georgia. Yet it’s still a great place to eat. I would recommend substituting chips and salsa for French fries.

Soggy fries and a wimpy sandwich with afterthoughts of toppings. Not worth the $15 bucks or whatever they charged me. Service was ok, but never asked if the food was good. Beer tasted like they’ve never cleaned the lines… ever. I’be been a few times, and have always wanted it to be good, but I have always left disappoint. This was my last time going.

We aren’t in Statesboro often. We stopped here last year & had the best experience. The food was amazing & so was the service. So, when we ended up in Statesboro again there was no question about where we were going to eat, & they did not disappoint! The waitress seemed a little distracted, but still did better than most & everything we tried was amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

GOOD food... Service was spot on and the atmosphere was welcoming. Not too loud which is a plus for me. Plenty of seating so no wait. What else could you expect from a restaurant.....?

We were heading back home after leaving to escape from Hurricane Helene power outages and while also fleeing from Hurricane Milton during our stay in Florida. We stopped at bites to stretch our legs and to grab food. First they were accommodating with letting us sit outside since we had our dog with us. Then we had a great conversation with our server, Madison, and finding out she has family near where we were fleeing from (we have family there as well). We ordered kids chicken tenders, hummus platter, Greek quesadilla, and tequila lime chicken sandwich. The one time my husband and I don't order fries is the time when the fries are amazing! Luckily the salad we got was big with fresh toppings. Our two little ones devoured the chicken and we enjoyed our meals. Madison made our random stop memorable and we greatly appreciate everything she did for us. This is a must stop now for us when we drive through Statesboro! Great atmosphere inside and out and so happy to use a clean bathroom as well. We really enjoyed our time at Bites!

Drove past this place many times the past few years during visits back to GSU. Looked more like a typical college student hangout so opted to not stop in. Most recent trip a lady at the GSU football game recommended it. Me and my two alumni buds opted to check out. It has a decent outdoor area and an interior that reminds me of Taco Mac. Atmosphere was good and our server was great. The Buffalo chicken artichoke dip with points was the only thing I enjoyed food-wise. The fried green tomatoes weren't really seasoned and the tequila lime chicken sammie wasn't anything to write about. Ordinary. I guess if you're a college student, this place will suffice for price, food proportions and atmosphere. I do like it's not a chain and always want to support local. Average, however. Maybe I need to try a different menu item ...

I have tried this restaurant twice. The first time I got my order to go and when I got it home it was not good. I live a mile from here, but the food did not travel well - everything was luke warm and mushy. I gave it another chance recently and this time ate there. The food was ok, but not great. I was not crazy about the cheeseburger. Something tasted weird in the seasoning I think. The fries were pretty good so that was a plus, and the cheese sticks were much better when eaten there this time. The restaurant is what you would expect from a typical sports bar type restaurant. TVs, booths, tables and the bar. Overall, I probably won't waste my time or money to go back, however there are way worse places that are more expensive expensive.

This brunch burger was so good. I'm glad I did stop by. It was fresh to order. She greeted me has I came in. They were very busy. It was lunch time. I'll come back to eat here. They had a lot to choose from.

Bites was a nice discovery on a recent visit to Statesboro. We were seated quickly & a waiter approached with light hearted banter & helpful suggestions. We started with onion rings - a large platter of them - nicely prepared. Wife got the Greek quesadilla & loved it. I got the Bites Deluxe Burger & fries. It was tasty but a lot of bun & the fries - said to be cut fresh in-house - left a little to be desired so took off one star. Would definitely go back if we get back there.

We really enjoyed our first visit at this colorful casual restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed the huge menu, everything from burgers, sandwiches, pasta, seafood, BBQ and mega salads. I had the bacon, blue cheese, mushroom burger with onion rings and it was the best! My wife had the house bacon burger with fries. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the fries were a little limp and soggy. Great attentive table service. We both ate for about $20 each with sodas.

Had an early dinner here and the fish and chips were fantastic. The last time I had fish this good was from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. We also had the watermelon mojito and it was a great drink. Highly recommended

Great food and service! I had the tequila lime tacos and they were very tasty! Our server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean. Definitely plan to go back when we return to Statesboro.

Bites served up a pretty good burger that I can justify giving it a four rating. The service by today's standards was closer to five than four, but not over the top. I was told that the fries were made from scratch, but I don't think so. "Scratch" means starting from whole fresh potatoes. Mine was way too saturated with cooking oil to be fresh potatoes. But, when you're borderline starved, a little extra grease in your fries ain't nothing. Long story short, next time I am around these parts I'll be back.

Bites..Home of Statesboro's thinnest hamburger! Seriously, don't know how they get it so thin. And of course, way overcooked since it was so thin. Definitely never getting a burger here again.

The food is bland and the customer service is horrible in my experience! I ordered a brunch burger with onions, bacon fries and fried green tomatoes! Guess what no onion on the burger, no bacon fries, and NO fried green tomatoes! Ridiculous and the manager did not seem to care at all! Stay Away!

This was a super cool place. We were passing through and thankfully other Yelpers highly recommended this place. It was super clean and staff very friendly. It has a lot of TVs with sports playing set up like a bar and grill that was very family friendly. The wait staff brought out an activity sheet and crayons for the kids. The food was delicious. The smothered fries were bad queso, pulled Bork and bbq sauce. The pork was very well done and queso is always delicious. The bbq sauce is just the right amount of sweetness. The quesadilla was well stuffed. This was a great spot for lunch and I have no doubt would be a fantastic spot to watch a game and have dinner

The Greek style chicken wrap is perhaps my favorite sandwich in The Boro. Order some firecracker sauce to dip your fries in, and you will be very happy!

I came here ONE time after leaving Splash N The Boro with my family and I talk about this place every day since then. I ordered 3 different things all to try and it was all AMAZING. The souther comfort fries, PERFECTION. The fish and chips was the BEST I EVER HAD, it was so fresh and you can tell they make their tartar sauce it was DELICIOUS. And the macho loaded quesadilla was TOP TIER, I literally ate EVERY LAST BITE (with help ofc) My mom got a burger and LOVED it. My son loved his "I'm not hungry" (Aka chicken tenders and fries) meal so much that he made me order a second one. And let's not get started on the drinks. They have SO many drink choices. Fish bowl drinks, large margaritas, all different flavors. I had the BEST mixed drink I ever had there, had to order two more. And the STAFF?! Absolutely the sweetest people. My waitress was so polite and patient, she had great suggestions. Also the young woman at the front was so sweet and she told me all about their karaoke days and live band days. I can't talk enough about this place. 10/10 would always recommend

Always a must go while we are visiting our son in Statesboro. My son ordered the black and blue burger. It comes with blue cheese crumbles under the patter TIP: order extra cheese on top. He got the provolone. Also ask for your burger on the Texas toast. GAME CHANGER!! Yum I got the Greek chicken quesadilla on pita. It was so good. FYI the onion rings are amazing but a bit greasy.

Passing through Statesboro we decided to stop in for a burger. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for everyone. I had the atomic burger. Overall it was pretty good . I did not love the bun ( it was a bit too much bread for the burger) but flavor wise it was good. The place was nice , prices were good and service was great!

Service and ambiance were great. My server, Madi, did an excellent job! If this review was about her it would receive 5 stars. I ordered the fish sandwich. The fish was cooked perfectly, however the sandwich itself was lacking a little flavor. The tarter sauce helped with flavor, but something was missing. French fries were good, hot, and crispy. I would probably try this again, but on a bun (not Texas toast). Overall, 4 stars. Not as good as it can get, but pretty good and worth trying again!

Good food at a good price. I had fish & chips. Fish was nice. Fries tasted good but limp (suggestion: crinkle fries). Draft IPA went well with my fish. Service is very friendly and fast. Very good tartar sauce!

My wife and I ate there last night. The food was very delicious. Our server was courteous and very attentive. Highly recommend to anyone who wants great food at a reasonable price with great service!

Ordered fish tacos (with side salad). Got fish & chips (fish burned) (no salad). Chips were burned. Not impressed. They charged me for the fish tacos. Knocked off $1 for the oversight. Me and my family will never eat here again. Just awful.

I went to Bites on Wednesday and experienced amazing service and great food. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with loaded fries and it was cooked to order.

We love Bites! The atmosphere is great (they're always playing some good throwbacks). The staff is always so nice, and the bartenders have great recommendations on food and drinks. We probably order takeout here more than we actually go in, and our order is always ready at the window in a timely manner. We actually ordered from here a few nights ago and were told it may be a longer wait than usual because it was busy...the "longer wait" was an *entire* 20 minutes. Uh yeah I'll take that long wait any day. The chicken wraps are probably my favorite (especially tequila lime) but the burgers also deserve recognition. The spinach artichoke burger is soooo good with a little kick. House chips are a must, and you have to dip them in Bites sauce. The salads are great too. You see where this is going. I could go on. Best in the Boro.

Omg I can not express how delicious the food is here. Our waiter was extremely nice and the service was pretty fast. The atmosphere in this place was great and I would definitely come here again.

Worst place to eat in Statesboro! Food here can only be compared to what I assume dog food would taste like. If even your waiter thinks your food should be sent back that should be reason enough to actually remake it correctly. Not only was the food worse the second time but I was told I either had to pay for it or get something else and still pay for half of it even though I didn't take a full bite of it. Don't come here, save your money. Blonde manager with the glasses is a jerk, don't know how she hasn't had more complaints with her terrible customer service and attitude.

Great food. However, the service can be hit or miss depending on the day. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, sometimes it still takes awhile on service.

Once again Bites doesn't disappoint. Wife tried the chicken quesadilla and I gave the atomic burger a try. Both were excellent. I love siracha and my burger had jalapeño and siracha sauce on it plus it came with a side of spicy sauce. Much larger and comfortable restaurant in the new location but still the same great service and food. Ahsher was our waiter. Very helpful in food choices and excellent service. Ask for his section.

COVID STUFF: Most of the staff was wearing masks. Cooks used gloves. Hand sanitizer was available. Only one person in the back handling boxes wasn't. While social distancing wasn't enforced, most people social distanced. About 25-50% of customers weren't wearing masks. FOOD: The menu is extensive and I will definitely be returning. I enjoyed being able to watch my food get made. Ingredients appeared very fresh. The food was delicious. My to go order was ready in about 10-15 min. I tried calling ahead but phone line was down.

Ordered ahead, they said it would be ready in 45 minutes, okay, I'll wait. Get there 45 minutes later, it's not ready yet, okay, no big deal. 15 more minutes pass, they say it's not ready yet, I'm starting to get irritated. I go inside to get it as soon as it's ready. I tell them my name, they say it's just about ready. 15-20 minutes later, they finally bring it out to me. Ridiculous. It's not like I had a crazy order, we ordered a burger, a wrap, and a salad, that's literally it. It took over an hour to get my food and I was in a hurry because I only had so much time for lunch. No one seemed to even care that my food was super late coming out either, they just kept assuring me that it'd be "ready soon." Why even have a carryout option if that's how it's going to be. And then the food wasn't even that good, it was just okay. Moral of the story, maybe a nice place if you want to sit down, but don't be fooled by the fact that they have a drive thru window, you will be burned for it.

This is a little gem! First off this place had great ambiance. The menu was great it had a great mix for everyone from burgers, BLT, Chicken fingers, Cheese fries and Nachos. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! So good I bought my son a gift card since he had classes and missed lunch with the family. We will be back!!

Since moving to their new location, they are slow. I would be okay with slowness, if the 5 tables all with 4 people in their parties, were seated after we ordered( there was 2 of us. All got their orders before us. Then the finally brought our food after we questioned 2 servers about why. Once we got our Greek tacos and a grilled cheese with provolone, it came out with cheddar so they had to remake it. The food was definitely good, but not sure worth a 2 hour wait. Asked to speak to the manager 3 times, before she finally came out. This is their 3rd day at this location. Off Veteran's

BUYERS BEWARE: I placed a to-go order with a Bites Deluxe Burger with an extra patty, Texas toast and, cheese fries (roughly $5 worth of additional on a $9 burger). When I got home to eat my food, I realized I got none of my add ons. When I called to ask for service they told me it could not be fixed and they have a policy where food must be checked before leaving for them to honor any mess ups THEY have committed. This policy is never told to the customers and their negligence has left me with no other option but to never return.

I'm just here visiting and wanted something that's not something I have back home. The customer service and food is spot on. Very chill, relax, and it felt part of the team here. I had the mozzarella sticks and man quesadilla both are very good. I highly recommend coming here

Delicious food and thankful for the drive up window for pickup orders. Highly recommend the macho loaded Quesadilla. Little pricey but a good alternative to the standard local restaurants.

Yummy. The falafel sandwich is legit, I'd definitely get it again. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of happy customers. Service very pleasant.

This is one of those jewels that you will have to be patient but it's well worth the wait! I totally understand the high reviews because the food is cooked to perfection, flavorful, with large portions. Our party of four was passing through and stopped because of the convenience and great reviews. We all ordered different items and all loved what we got. Even though we had a bit of a wait to be seated and a little wait for the food to come out, our server (think his name was Matt) was great and provided great service. Will definitely be back when we pass through!

My favorite spot in the Boro. Delicious fresh and hot food, and amazing service! ai get the Greek Quesadilla on pita with Grilled Chicken, and a side of bacon cheese fries. It's amazing and I 10000% recommend!

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! I have enjoyed this restaurant each and every visit! Love their Greek spin on many of the food items! Try the Greek chicken tacos or the Greek quesadilla! You won't be disappointed!!

We stopped here as we were passing through Statesboro. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was upbeat with college games playing. Definitely a great place to try. Service was friendly and pretty quick. We ordered burgers and the street tacos. So delicious and none of us were able to finish our plates.

Addicted!!!!! I can't say enough how much we LOVE this place! We come to statesboro about 3 weekends out of the month, and Bites has now become an automatic must have! We absolutely CRAVE the French Fries!!! They are cooked to crispy perfection! I personally have never been a hamburger lover until TODAY.... when I tasted a bite of my husband's Texas Burger. AMAZING! It comes with crispy bacon, an onion ring, bbq sauce, lettuce and tomato. Literally I have now become a hamburger fan! My son order the Fried Chicken Tenders with Fries. And as usual.... PHENOMENAL! The breading and seasoning is the best ever! Not to mention, you can order 5 tenders and a ton of fries for around $7! You can't beat the value of this place. As far as service and staff.... IMPECCABLE! I have never stepped foot in there without it feeling friendly and welcoming. Bites, we love

I tried to eat the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant today. Ordered the Macho Quesadilla. It had a really strange taste, and I kept adding sour cream to make it better. I finally realized it tasted burned, although there was no indication looking at it, that it could be. My sister said her steak quesadilla also had a burned taste. Server suggested it could be because the grill wasn't cleaned well...

Let me start off by saying: GET YOUR FOOD TO GO. There isn't a lot of seating inside and you'll probably be swarmed by college kids while you're there. That being said, the food is great! The burgers are nice and big and very filling! The fries are amazing, definitely some of the best I've had. The salads are fresh, full of toppings and well seasoned chicken. And to top it off, the prices are great! The staff are friendly and quick. They let us know how ordering worked since today was our first time trying Bites. All in all, I will definitely be back! I'm just going to enjoy my burger back at my apartment.

This place's food was honestly worth the wait. It was very busy when we went. I suggest that you order to-go and find a nice place outside or at home to eat; it's pretty cramped in there. I really enjoyed my meal and my boyfriend enjoyed his. Try the Greek Quesadilla on pita bread! It was amazing with a side of sour cream :) Also, their Bites Sauce is to DIE for. My only complaint is that I wish that there was a mask mandate upon entry to the restaurant, the cooks were not wearing masks either. I don't think COVID travels through food often, so I'll likely be back either way
