We had an incredible experience at Bitter Monk. The bartender who served us (his name was Ryan) was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about his craft. Watching him create the “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” cocktail was like watching an artist at work. The drink itself was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. You can really tell they put thought and creativity into every detail. We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience that lives up to the Sugar Monk lineage! Inventive cocktails with an especially exquisite clarified cocktail selection. Ugetsu and the Between the Devil et the Deep Blue Sea are highlights! Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Food is also thoughtfully executed! Kudos to the staff!

Google
Great new spot in Industry City. Secluded and feels so very special, with seating for only 15 or so people. The drinks are wonderful; I had a spectacular smoked drink among other selections my first visit. Clearly crafted with skill and good taste. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! It is the most peaceful cocktail bar/distillery in Industry City and it's absolutely beautiful as well. Service was knowledgeable, friendly and just overall incredible. Only thing better than the atmosphere and service were the cocktails and their house made amaris and herbal liqueurs. If you visit and it is slow enough that they are offering the tastings of the amaris, liqueurs and bitters make sure you do it.

Google
Sister bar of Sugar Monk, Harlem’s finest. It’s hiding in the factory style building at Industry City among few other bars and distilleries. The bar has its own tasting room and amaro distillery. The drinks are amazing given their specialty in bitters and amaros.

Came here for happy hour (until 6pm). Got the queen of dessert and clover club. Pretty little bar with class where the cocktail was worth the price tag.

Google
Exploring Industry City and just happened to find this gem! We sat at thr bar and Kiki was so impressive with her knowledge of the craft spirits and engaging. Her passion, talent, and awesome communication skills truly elevate the bar experience without it being stuffy or stiff. Super chill and authentic vibes. Can't wait to go back and try another liqueur and the cozy lounge seating.

Without question the best cocktails in Industry City. Not to mention: friendly staff, amazing presentation, and a wonderful space that clearly had a lot of love poured into it.

Yelp
My partner and I were in the area for a show recently and noticed Bitter Monk had just opened, so we made sure to prioritize coming to BM for a drink beforehand! For those who dont know, Bitter Monk is owned by the same team at Sugar Monk, which is an amazing cocktail bar in uptown manhattan. We walked in on a Saturday around 3pm and it was fairly quiet, but we were excited to find out it was happy hour. We both ordered drinks off the happy hour menu, along with the $6 black Truffle popcorn. The drinks were delicious and boozy... and who doesn't like a good Truffle popcorn?!?! We enjoyed everything so much we split one more cocktail and another order of popcorn. Bitter Monk is a bit hard to find as it's on the second floor of IC.. But totally worth going to!

Yelp
I came here with a group for my friend's birthday. I had a vesper martini, which was good but STRONG. Dark/moody ambiance and friendly service. The cocktails were in the $15 - $17 range (as of Oct '24).

Yelp
A cute bar with impeccable cocktails. We tried the menu items Negroni and one other that was a little spicy both were delicious and a reasonable price. Industry City now has pretty much everything you could want. Friendly staff here too plus there is a tasting room.

Yelp
As exquisite as Sugar Monk. It's not hyperbole to say that these are the best cocktails you will ever drink. They are multilayered, unique, and delicious. The ambience is A+ with flowers and lighting just perfect. If you're having trouble choosing, Between the Devil and the deep blue sea is a crowd favorite.
