The 12 Best Chaat Vendors in New Delhi | Eater

"Bittoo Tikki Waale, or BTW, is a West Delhi favorite, serving up a unique aloo tikki made from chana dal (Bengal gram), potatoes, and cashews. BTW’s mixture renders a firm, crunchy tikki, beloved for its extra-crackly exterior that gives way to a soft, spiced inner core. The shop also double-fries its tikki in olive oil — a curious choice since tikkis are usually fried in vegetable oil (Indians consider olive oil a luxurious, healthier way to cook, but it’s fairly inaccessible). Usual toppings are pudina and saunth chutney along with yogurt, but you can ask for your own mix. BTW started off as a small pushcart in the 1990s, but grew into a large brand with franchises across the city. The original store is at Netaji Subhash Place, in the city’s northeast, but the brand’s best loved store is in Janakpuri, in the city’s west. Since BTW is more of a small restaurant than a stall, it’s also a convenient option for anyone who needs a seat indoors to escape the summer heat. A small menu of sweets like gulab jamun and kulfi are also available for dessert." - Sharanya Deepak

I recently visited BTW for breakfast along with one friend. We ordered Chole Bhature and Pav Bhaji. The shop is quite easy to locate. The staff was quite welcoming and our order was made in a jiffy. The quality of food was really good, the taste was on point. If you are in and around Rani Bagh, you can surely visit this place for at least a quick bite. The menu pricing is also quite decent compared to quality of food served. There are standing tables available hence no sitting facility available for eating food.

On 18.07.24 ,I personally purchased DAHI BHALLA FULL (ONE PLATE) at about 19.00 hrs amounting Rs.150, vide Bill no:UIN-99-0000162-44652 delivered with in no time, that seems already lying packed. When taken out home found the Quality of it was worst in taste which we never expect from BTW..Now only name is left-over....nothing much more....

If you are here for only food (evening snacks) then it's fine. Don't expect good service or ambience. Smiling is not even part of their paid menu so don't even imagine that. Tikki that made them famous, now tastes average.

We have been a regular to this eating joint, this time we had few outstation friends who had heard a lot about BTW, so we decided to go there and ordered for a plate of dahi bhala and pav bhaji. The ordered food was delivered quickly as there wasn't much of crowd but the sitting arrangement right next to kitchen was in a complete mess with no proper cleaning of tables, chairs and disposable crockery. The paper napkins were disposed off here and there. They should ideally maintain basic hygiene standards and keeping in view of BTW name. The taste of dishes ordered were okay types and basic. The person taking orders at the counter was looking like not interested at all. Better staff and hygiene standards are need of the day to uplift the status and standards we pay for while going out to eat. They need to pull up the team members extremely to make a good customer experience. Finding a parking might be challenging during peak time.
