Yelp
This place almost nailed it, and we'd definitely come back - but there were a few hiccups that kept it from being a perfect BBQ experience.
Let's start with the good: the food is legit. The brisket was juicy and full of flavor, ribs were tender with just the right smoky bark, and the portions? Absolutely generous. Our table feasted on everything from BBQ fries loaded with meat and cheese to classic plates with mac & cheese, baked beans, cornbread, and potato salad. Everyone left full and happy in the food department.
But the ordering situation was a bit of a mess. We were handed brunch menus at 1:45pm, placed our orders right around 2pm, and then the server came back to say brunch had ended. Two of us had to completely reorder - and while the lunch/dinner menu was way more exciting, others at our table were stuck with what they originally picked and would've liked the chance to switch too.
Service was friendly but could have been more organized with communication - especially since it clearly impacted our meal decisions.
Drinks were cold, the vibe was casual and lively, and we appreciated the fun Cajun specials they advertise (we'll be back for that seafood boil!).
If they can tighten up the front-of-house logistics, this could easily be a five-star BBQ spot. As it stands, 3.5 stars for great food, solid drinks, and a slightly fumbled guest experience.
