Fiancé and I have been coming to BJ's since the inception of our relationship and have enjoyed many a meal here. This location is consistently satisfactory in all realms. Love the menu and value! Our server today, Denise, was a hoot and took wonderful care of us too ☺️ Made our run-of-the-mill happy hour date oh so memorable with her thoughtfulness and spunk.

Good experience! Our waitress was great. The jambalaya wasn’t too great in my opinion but everything else was really good! Our waitress also brought a little kids plate before dinner because the food was taking longer than anticipated and that was so thoughtful ❤️

The good, service and atmosphere was awesome. We got attended right away and seated right away even tho it was busy busy. The food was delicious!! I got the wings as usual and they don’t ever fail to satisfy. My partner got a brisket burger and I had a bit and it was yummy. I got the orange cream soda that says it’s made by the company and it was so so so good. I recommend it sm. We also got the trio appetizer and it has guacamole, cheese dip and artichoke dip. The cheese was my favorite.

I keep coming back because I truly love this place, but every single time something is wrong either with my food, or it takes 2-3 attempts for them to get the bill right. Today I came in at exactly 3pm and ordered 2 mini pizzas that took 35 minutes to come out. My pizza was wrong which was frustrating especially after waiting that long. My server was absent for 20 minutes after giving us our drinks. It was impossible to get anyone’s attention. Cinnamon Roll pizookie was burnt. I’ll be finding another location after today.

I ordered from DoorDash craving the deep dish nachos and the wedge salad , in the past there always seemed to be something over cooked or burned so called the restaurant to make sure it would come to me as if I was sitting there . Savannah took my call very sweet and understanding she said she would relay my extras to the kitchen and make sure my nachos weren’t burnt and looked great before they were sent out . My order came super fast and the order was Perfect the nachos looked amazing and tasted delicious the wedge salad with extra cheese was also so delicious didn’t want to share it . Thank you Savannah for making my door dash order a priority and sent with love . Happy holidays 10/10

Friend and I came to knit. We didn't know there was a happy hour until 7p on Fridays. We had a blast. The patio was nicely lit up and they had heaters on since it was probably in the low 60s. Our waitress, Sheylyn, was very nice and made sure we got another order in before happy hour ended since we only got there just after 6pm. We will definitely be back soon!

The food was great, the steak was perfectly cooked and didn't need steak sauce, the cheddar mashed potatoes tasted good, and the chili was good. My brother did say there was a bit too much salt on his sweet potato fries. They had several nonalcoholic beverages, I had their Cream Soda and it tasted good. Our server was great, she came and checked to see how we were doing often and I heard her doing the same with other customers, even striking up a brief conversation with what seemed like a regular. I enjoyed seeing that and hopefully, more places encourage the practice. The atmosphere was amazing, the booth was comfortable, the lighting was nice and the music was alright. They had large TVs in a variety of places for folks to watch sports, they had Golf, Baseball, and Basketball playing.

Our son has celiac, and this restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating. I feel very confident that everyone understood the condition and importance of keeping everything separate while cooking and in service. Our server, Denise, was amazing! She was attentive, understanding, and energetic. Highly recommend!

I came her with a few friends on a Saturday night and it wasn't that bad just be sure to put your name on the waitlist so by the time you get there you will be seated. BJ's is a chain and the last time I came here was maybe 15 years ago so it was pretty good to be back. I got the pizza called BJ's favorite and it was pretty good! It has most of the toppings you would find on a combo pizza in addition to their house made meatballs! Service was excellent and the ambiance was awesome! It was a very casual atmosphere which is good place for family or for a group of friends!

Haven't been to a BJ's in ages, but was driving by and made a spur-of-the-moment decision to drop in for nostalgia's sake... only to remember why this ubiquitous chain really isn't on my list of restaurant go-tos! :P This particular location houses a gargantuan space with many tables, and attention to service seems to vary depending on where you sit - it was rather spotty at the bar area high tops on our visit. The Sliders were simultaneously dry yet doused with too much ketchup, albeit the Pizookie Trio (we chose Triple Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake, and Hot Fudge Brownie) did appropriately satisfy my desire to walk down memory lane, so props for that!

If it weren't for receiving a gift card probably would not choose to eat here. Nashville boneless wings with extra sauce the chicken is crunchy but it's not Nashville style at all and very salty. The chicken sandwich was supposed to be extra chipotle aioli sauce, spicy slaw this is what they gave me. The fries weren't fresh Another dud meal

Terrible service from server. Very very slow! I ordered the shrimps with toast which was delicious when it finally arrived. Lousy selection of bottled beer. I'm a loyal Budweiser drinker which they don't have. I settled for a Stella draft. If I had realized it was going to be $9 I would have stuck to the glass of water! The bill for shrimps and one beef was $27! And they wanted me to tip a C minimum of $4! No chance!

We went for a late lunch and got seated in a booth in the bar area. I would not have chosen this but I'm glad we were seated there. It was a nice atmosphere. Our server Justine was so sweet and was working hard on all the tables. She's amazing! I ordered something I really enjoy and it was delightful as always. My friend ordered a soup and salad combo - chili in a sourdough bread bowl. She said she'd get it again it was that delicious!

I've had a gift card tho this joint for ages, and decided it was burning a hole in my pocket... Surprisingly busy on a Friday evening with no bar seats left! Waited about 20 minutes and was seated at a cozy booth for two! Ordered our drinks but server went MIA for about 15 minutes... so we knew we needed to be ready to order our entrees to avoid another gap. Tried the nutty brunette...as advertised! Ordered the double cut porkchop, selected potatoes and garlic veg as my side... all were very good! It came with soup so I opted for the chili, and liked it! Finished the meal with a pizookie as it was included in the dinner deal... the hot fudge brownie was super rich and comes with ice cream and was just right for two. Ambiance is Art deco lounge, service was spotty and inattentive, and prices were as expected.

I hadn't been to BJs in a while. I had a rough afternoon and knew I didn't want to go home and make dinner. I also knew that I wanted a drink. Leaving the vet (we had to put our cat down) we ended up on Friars. Saw Cheesecake but that didn't sound good. Partner said what about Bjs and off we went. Came in and go sat right away. Our waiter, I can't recall his name, was very attentive, patient, and friendly. The music was great and not too crazy considering it was happy hour. The bar was busy but still not crazy. I forgot about all the random mid week specials they have. For $14 bucks we got the pizza, salad, and mini pizzookie dinner. Had to take the pizzookie to go. Great pizza, good moz sticks (could have been just a bit crunchier) but good amount, and good drinks. Thanks for helping me get out of my head for a bit.

Think of a large high school cafeteria with beer. Food. 3* Ambiance. 2* House beer 2* Service 1* Let's stick with my main complaints and I will leave other reviews later about other issues . Every time I go to BJs and make a reservation on OpenTable. We arrived at the restaurant give our name to the hostess or host theoretically they check us in and lead us to our table . 15 minutes later I got a message from OpenTable saying that my reservation has been cancelled . I have spoken to a female team manager who obviously doesn't have a clue when she stated "we have nothing to do with OpenTable" This has recently happened two weeks in a row. I would really like all the Rewards points that I have not gotten because of BJ screw ups and a word or two with the manager if you can find one.

I can see why BJ's Restaurant remains successful, because they serve satisfying grub. Also because their Pizookies are off the hook! 6/29/2024. BJ's Nutty Brunette ($7.75): I liked their version of New Castle, 4/5 stars. BJ's Chili has a bite of spice and is full flavored, 4.5/5 stars. Prime Rib three course dinner ($35): beef was tender and precisely cooked to medium-rare, 4/5 stars. A deal too, as it included chili and a Pizookie! Oreo Pizookie: cookie was like a brownie with oreo bits. Perfection, 5/5 stars!

Reviewing Dessert... We dropped by here mainly for dessert. We ordered the... *Pizookie Trio Three mini Pizookies, each served with a scoop of ice cream We chose...Chocolate chunk, Salted Carmel and White chocolate macadamia With vanilla and chocolate ice cream Who doesn't enjoy chocolate, caramel and macadamia nuts!! What great choices!! We couldn't decide on one flavor so we got the best of 3!!! All yummy and delicious! The added ice cream just elevated our taste buds!!! Would definitely come back and try other flavors!

The atmosphere is great! It's huge and has plenty of different areas and seating (though we always sit at the bar). The bar has a ridiculous number of drafts! Including their own brews. We got the last two seats at the time, and had to ask someone to move over to get them together. So THAT could be bigger. They have gluten-free pizza! Huge plus! It was decent, but did not come out hot. It was lukewarm. So I wasn't happy about that, but didn't say anything. They can make an Irish Coffee! Huge plus! However, it came out in a regular coffee mug and tasted like the coffee was burnt. The bartender was very nice, and honestly, I should've said something if I wasn't happy with my food or drink. My friend had the broccoli cheddar soup - I snuck a couple bites :) - THAT was delicious!!!! Also, the guy next to me got the steak dinner - I kept eyeing it LOL! The steak was ridiculous huge and came with ALL KINDS OF THINGS - soup, salad, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. I might have to get that next time. I'll go back and try again.

The happy hour options and service are why we come back. Kristine A. always takes great care of me and my coworkers. It's a good restaurant to destress with coworkers without any stress, and lots of options for where to sit.

Attended a luncheon meeting here on Thursday afternoon. BJs has a great $13.99 offer where you can chose an entree and it includes a mini pizouki topped with core cream. Today I had the burger & fries. This was a great deal that gave plenty of food. Our waiter was not only handling our table of 12 but also he had several tables around him. The waiter was really good and didn't forget anything. I'll be returning again soon.

We went to this place for a dinner Thursday night and it was really good! We got the deal of Slow-Roasted Entree with Dessert and also an appetizer of nachos. There was around a 30 minute wait which for me was a bit suprising, but we had time so we chose to wait. I got the tri-tip with a pizookie dessert. Everything was great! The nachos were a great appetizer and I would honestly get it as an entree if I wanted nachos one day. The portion size of the nachos were large and I was honestly suprised. For the pizookie, I got the strawberry shortcake pizookie which was great. The service was also really good. They were quick to refill drinks and ask if we needed anything. The ambiance of the restaurant is also good.

I have not always had the best experience at BJ's but, tonight was perfect. The service was great! Super fast and attentive. The food was proper. 13$ Pizookie meal was soo good. Everything we had was just right. Even the drinks were fairly strong. BJ's is your basic chain restaurant so Im sure the menu is familiar to all. The Mission Valley location was super busy as always so, of you do not want to wait, try to get a bar seat. Good vibes , good music , good food. Thanks BJ's!

Been here a few times and it's not terrible but not amazing either. Selection of beers is great. I like how they have a reward program and usually the servers and really nice and friendly. If you're into sports, also a good location since they have several big screens. The food could be better as it's kind of a hit or miss. The pazooki's are always delicious. Standard wings were just okay, salad was good, parmesan chicken good, fish and chips was just "ok" , a bit flavorless, deep dish nachos were just ok, could of used more cheese and salsa, prime rib was great and surprisingly the avocado egg rolls were very good! If anything I'd recommend the avocado egg rolls and the prime rib meal deal that they do.

Pepperoni Flatbread as an appetizer is the best! Our server was friendly and had an infectious Smile, kept us enjoying our craft beer. My favorite was Piranha Pale Ale, Blonde, & PM Porter. It's a very nice restaurant bar with many servers to keep the atmosphere happy upon arrival and kept you occupied with the Cold beers by serving as soon as the glass was half way empty! I liked the music in the background. Parking is free but gets busy at PM hours. Cheers!

AVOID BJ's Brewhouse in San Diego at All Costs I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent experience at BJ's Brewhouse in San Diego was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others. Our server at table 807 was not only incompetent but downright hostile. Sporting poorly executed tattoos across his neck and arms (which would be fine if his attitude matched basic customer service standards), he made it abundantly clear that our presence was an inconvenience. When we ordered a to-go Pizookie--apparently an unforgivable sin in his book--you would have thought we'd asked him to personally bake it in a volcano. Despite the restaurant being barely 60% full on a Thursday at 8pm, this server acted as though we'd arrived during the Super Bowl. The contempt in his voice when we dared to order food to-go while seated at a table was palpable. Is there some unwritten rule against this that only BJ's employees know about? We waited a ridiculous 30 MINUTES for a simple to-go Pizookie. That's half an hour for a dessert that's pre-made and just needs to be heated! The true insult came when we arrived home to discover our food was burned beyond recognition. Not slightly overcooked--completely INEDIBLE. Charred to the point that it resembled archaeological findings rather than dinner. Save yourself the money, time, and dignity. There are countless restaurants in San Diego that actually value their customers and know how to prepare food without turning it into carbon. BJ's Brewhouse clearly isn't one of them.

Always Delicious Pizza in a Classy setting. Wait time was about 5 mins and long as you there are both seats available. Good Drink options as well.

We came to BJs excited to eat and spend time with one another. After about 20 minutes of waiting for water we were slowly losing hope. We sat down and didn't get food, not even our appetizers for about an hour and twenty minutes. We had to ask about it for it to finally come to the table. And even then we were missing 3 plates they didn't put in and one person in our party went without eating. And the other 2 plates we declined to have them make and wait another hour and twenty. The server seemed nice about it all no attitude at all but very disappointed in the service and being forgotten about. The table next to us was in an out, while we were still waiting, n had no food. Very disappointed will not be coming back.

My review is strictly written off the pizzokies just a PSA. In Tuesdays when they're $5, they are an absolute must for a late night snack. However, the wait time gets very long and you find yourself waiting for up to an hour so call ahead. The service is slow but they do want to keep the customers moving so when it's time for the check they're on it pretty quickly. As for the food, I haven't eaten anything off their menu so I can't give an honest review on that part!

Came on a Tuesday around 6pm and we were seated right away. We shared the chili crunch potstickers which were delicious and crispy, but I wish there were for the price ($17). I also ordered the boba-licious mango sparkler which was not too sweet. For my meal, i had the $13 southern fried chicken, it was flavorful and tender and i also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the corn was a nice addition. It was a good portion size for the price as well. Lastly, we got a s'mores pizookie which was warm and gooey. Our server Alexia was amazing! It's kinda dark inside lol, but will definitely be coming back

BJs is a tried and true classic, and sometimes you just need to satisfy that pizookie craving! We came here on a weekend afternoon and were able to get seated quickly. Our server was attentive and prompt with her service. Their food never disappoints and always leaves me satisfied. They have an extensive menu and offer many different types of entrees. We will be back soon!

I had a serious craving for Avocado Egg Rolls today so I placed a curbside pickup order at approximately 3:55pm and the order was to be ready at 4:20. I braved the 90 degree weather and picked up my food, which was ready about 5 minutes earlier than expected, customer service was great as usual. Got home about 10 minutes later, opened my container, and saw what looked like day-old avocado bites. I call them bites because they looked like they were half the size of what I usually get. The avocado was brown, they were dry and there was some white powder sprinkled on top. I took a bite (yes I took a bite, don't judge me; this was a serious craving) of the least offensive looking one and realized that they were also burnt; the Tamarind sauce wasn't enough to overcome that. BJ'S, I'm gonna need a do-over...and my $16.00 back.

I recently visited BJ's Brewery and had an incredible experience. The food specials during happy hour were simply outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, setting the perfect mood for a great time. Moreover, I must commend the excellent service provided by Sophia. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Her attention to detail and promptness truly elevated our visit. I had a mini pizza with pepperoni, jalapeños and bacon and it was excellent. I also ordered the potstickers which were ok but not my thing. I didn't really think the potstickers were all that great so I'm glad I tried them during their happy hour special and didn't pay full price. Overall, I can't wait to return to BJ's Brewery. With their fantastic food, enticing happy hour specials, and top-notch service, it's definitely a place worth revisiting.

My wife and I chose this restaurant because of the 13.00 meal special. Which we have enjoyed a few times during regular lunch hours. This was are first time during supper hours we chose to go. Service was a completely off. Food took over 20 minutes to come out, server never followed up with us. We were not once askedonce if are drinks needed refilled, how we liked are food. Very easy steps of service that this waitress completely lacked. Won't be coming back anytime soon. Especially for dinner. Check Number: 376

I've only been coming here for a few months, but the one thing that is consistent is the service. Madison, Jacqueline, Jaylen, and (especially) Denise have brought the customer experience to new levels. They pretty much try to accommodate any request: 1. I want the pizookie to go, but the ice cream normally on top, I'll eat here 2. I'd like the kids meal (ok!) 3. I'd like the drink that comes with the kids meal to go (ok!) 4. I could use some hot sauce (tons of choices!) 5. Could you arrange for my Beer Club free pizza and a bag big enough to carry it out? (yes, of course) The beer is great, and the food is reasonably good. But for me, good service is everything and these folks serve it up in spades. Kudos!

Sorry- not sure how my review got doubled. I only visited once at Mission Valley, January 2025. I plan to return sometime soon ! --------------------- It's been several years since I've been to BJ's in Mission Valley. Thought I'd give it a try again since I enjoyed eating at the Menifee location during the holidays. It was a weekday afternoon (Thu 1/6/25) when my partner and I had lunch. We saw that BJ's dining area was full, so we decided to sit at the bar area. There was a good amount of seats to choose from at the bar. There were only 3-4 others dining in this area, so it didn't appear crazy busy, no bumping elbows or purses, rather, a more chill atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by the bartender. I forgot to get his name, he needs to be praised. He was mild mannered, friendly, patient and attentive. He was a multitasker-kind of a bartender. That's the kind we like. It took us awhile to place our order as there was so much to choose from on the lunch menu. We then received our food in no time along with an extra personal BBQ chicken pizza. It was only one personal pizza that I had ordered. The other pizza was BJ's specialty. The server that brought out the extra pizza was very apologetic as she explained that the error was on them. Minutes later another staff came by, also apologized for their mistake and would bring out the right personal pizza in moments time. Now that's what I call double re-assurance and great team work. Customer service, with a smile. It was several minutes that had gone by when the correct pizza arrived. Both of our meals were delicious including our Pizookie dessert. No further issues. Happy campers, we were. To add, we got the lunch menu deal. If there's anything to complain about, my partner would have rather selected a not so thick crust; I'm the opposite. The Cesar salad needed a picker-upper taste, it was missing something. Overall experience at BJ's in Mission Valley was a 5 star Recommend

Reasonably priced, open late (during the week too!), extensive selection of beers with a lot of interior and exterior space, and great place to watch a game. Service was friendly but laden with too much hovering, ostensibly well intentioned. Large portions. Why is it so hard to get water refills? Tried a pizookie for the first time and it was guilitily fulfilling. They have a whole array of flavors; I tried the strawberry shortcake and it was good -- fresh strawberries atop shortcake. California sized portions.

I ordered the salted caramel pazookie and made it very clear to the waitress that it needed to be peanut-free. She reassured me after speaking with the chef and checking their allergen book that it was completely safe--emphasizing that the only pazookie containing peanuts was the Snickers one. But on my first bite, I had two peanuts in my mouth. This wasn't just a simple oversight--it was a dangerous mistake that could have resulted in a severe allergic reaction. Even more concerning, the waitress did nothing to alleviate the situation after I told her. Just a sorry. This place is not safe for people with food allergies. Do not trust their allergen protocols. It's simply not worth risking your health. I'm deeply disappointed.

Been to this location numerous times just for a pizzokie. It can get really busy at times but I've always received friendly service. They currently have a 13$ pizzokie meal deal which is great value. The southern fried chicken was not overcooked and paired well with the mashed potatoes and corn. The bone in wings were good as well but think 18$ is priced a little high for the amount you get.

This is a large and airy BJ's location with high ceilings. It's like a temple of BJ's or something. It's one impressively huge space and also features a sizable outdoor dining patio. Service was good during my visit and the food came out quickly. The Pizookies are probably my favorite food at BJ's and it was my first time trying the trio which was great for the variety. Lots of TVs to watch the sporting events here too.

We had a party of 7 and were given separate checks on request. Our server was funny and efficient. She anticipated our needs and was ready with water, condiments, straws, and extras that we may need. They offer a special lunch menu that includes an entree and a small Pizookie for only $13 on the weekdays. The restaurant is clean and spacious with a nice bar area with tvs for sports viewing. There is ample parking. A great place for a weekday lunch with friends.

Great selection of beers. Lots of yummy options. Heavy dishes though very high n calories. Fast and very friendly service. BJ's is your all-American bar experience. Great bar ambiance to spend time with friends or family.

Food : 10/10 This BJs is waaay better then the one in Grossmont , the food taste 10x amazing & the location / works are way better . Service : great customer service & amazing cooks, everything looks & tasted exactly how you'd picture it. Ambiance: 10/10 This is now my new go to location. Better service here & better location ( public ) than other locations. It's like the workers here actually enjoy their jobs & put effort into being there on the clock

I ended up in down town San Diego waiting to pick up kids from the airport. With the Flight delays and hunger had to pick a place that was open this late in the evening. I ordered a crispy fried chicken sandwich. It was crispy and fried, but I think they left it in the fryer a bit too long, maybe by extra couple of years. It was dark brown and bitter. No worries, I could use the fries to fill up this empty stomach. However the fries were so salty and soggy, had to stop after the 3rd piece. The waiterss was great and attentive, but the food was awful. I guess you have to stick to pizza when you go to BJ's pizza.

No stars if i could , absolutely horrid service and im a prior server. Food was tasteless and the drinks were horrific, and i drink a lot. Everyone comes here for the pizookie and ours were burnt, Brought it up to the manager and it was like he didn't care at all. Absolutely ish show. save ur money save ur time and run from this place.

I tried their chicken mushroom dish which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist with a creamy rich white sauce and sautéed mushrooms . The portion size was perfect and kept me full for hours! Their Caesar salad is pretty standard and tasted fresh. Their chocolate chip cookie had ooey gooey chocolate chip pieces with a nice texture.

I have only ordered to go meals here and I just wanted to compliment the chefs, cooks, and service staff on amazing experiences each time. That's why I keep coming back. I really want to give a shout out to Caleb for making my to go orders perfect including extra sides and anything else requested. It really means a lot when people pay attention to the small details in my requests. Thank you Caleb for going above and beyond you made me a loyal customer!

Very busy but we had fast service and great food. My daughter in law had a crispy delicious California club flatbread with chicken, smoked bacon avocado and drizzle of garlic aioli. I had a wonderfully light seared Ahi salad. Everything was delicious and I wish they had a BJ's near me.

I came here with my friends for drinks and dessert after dinner. The White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Pizookie was OK. I'm normally not a white chocolate person, so my assessment probably isn't the best. It was rather sweet due to the white chocolate and the vanilla ice cream was also very sweet. My preference would be a dark chocolate cookie to counter the sweetness, but that wasn't on the menu. I ordered a Razzle Dazzle Berry Fizz and it looked nothing like the picture. I garnished it with a lemon slice, otherwise it looked like a glass of watered down cranberry juice. We asked for water but it never came...

We came on a Tuesday at 6 pm and were seated right away. We ordered their chili crunch pot stickers to share and they were delicious, flavorful and crispy! It was a good appetizer to start (though I wanted more lol)! I ordered the $13 weekday special chicken bacon ranch piadina. It was pretty good, crunchy and flavorful, but just a little on the saltier side. The portion was fairly large and great for the price. Then we had their s'mores pizookie and it was amazing! Warm, soft and gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The perfect way to end our meal! Our server Alexia was great and friendly and constantly checked up on us! Would definitely be coming back.

Terrible customer service! We were lied to on the phone about our reservation. A manager called me later and said I didn't show up but I definitely did. I talked to the same host in the restaurant that told me they could honor my reservation on the patio because I had my dog. When I got there she told me that the patio was first come first serve. As we walked back to the front, another guest walked their dog out from inside. I told her that my dog is half the size of the one we literally just saw walking out of the inside of the restaurant. At that point, the host that I called earlier did admit to lying to me. Shady place. Don't eat here!

We had the spaghetti dish and it was good I give it an 8 drinks we're cold server could of been a little more attentive but ok

I ordered their famous pizookie to go. They packed the warm cookie separately from the pint of vanilla ice cream. By the time I got home, the ice cream was perfect for scooping. 10/10 would definitely do this again.
