BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

BJs is a pretty solid place for American eats. I was pleasantly surprised at how juicy the pork chops were and how well everything else were cooked. Thursday special is ribs- they aren't super consistent and can sometimes be on the dry side. But it's a great deal if you're craving ribs! Pros: great menu variety, large portion sizes Cons: sometimes crowded (by the mall), inconsistent quality

This location used to be fantastic. I have no idea what happened, but when a drink order takes 20 minutes, and a rare steak comes out like leather, and 8 wings are drier than a mummy, you know a restaurant has problems. Don't waste your time.

I've tried three times, thinking the experience at BJ's would improve. Sadly, the first two times weren't flukes. It's a consistently frustrating experience and don't think I will give it another shot. First, the food. It's okay...kind of like all Applebee's clones. A little bit of everything on the massive book of a menu, but nothing that doesn't seem generic. But the real problem here is with the service. We always have to wait at least 10 minutes for a table, even though half the dining room is empty. This tells me they are seriously understaffed. Then it takes a long time to get a server to come to the table. And after finally ordering it takes about 30 minutes before food arrives. Every time...this is not an exaggeration. The servers and greeters seem very unhappy about the work environment and are less than friendly. Again, this is after 3 separate attempts to dine at BJ's.

Quick tips: make reservations before coming here on a weekend or else be prepared for a long wait. Also, don’t delay on your order once your seated. If you have to wait, use the time to look over the menu and nail down all your drink and food selections. This place is very busy so don’t go in thinking you will get rockstar service, but if you know what you want going in things will flow a lot better.

The food is fantastic! The host and the first server were short with us! Hence, the 3 star! The second server was attentive and made up for the short comings of the first one.

TLDR: Service was slow, and my food wasn't great. I ordered the Strawberry Splash drink, which was amazing, but the parmesan crusted chicken was not. I subbed out the steamed broccoli for asparagus. We had no silverware, and once we food came we had to wait another 10 minutes for the silverware to be brought to us. The other person in my party ordered the prime rib special, which came with soup & salad. She ordered the clam chowder, and our waitress came back to let her know they were out of the chowder, and she would need to order something else. Her entree came out before her salad, and it wasn't great either. All in all, the experience was blah. Probably won't return.

Lovely place, nice, clean, spacious. Food was amazing. I ordered a salad for a late lunch and it was on point. The kale salad with grapes, cranberries, blueberries, walnuts, goat cheese, strawberry vin, and more. Served to perfection and nice presentation. I added grilled salmon to it and it was cooked just right, juicy, yum. Waitress was friendly, but a little absent. From the point when our food was dropped off to when we were all done, we were never asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. Good thing our food was delicious otherwise it wouldn't have been good. I would've taken another glass of wine had she asked.

I really enjoyed my time there with my family, I recommend this place not to only enjoy the great food that they have, but also to have a good time.
