The crab ragoons were perfection! They were crispy, on point, the filling was smooth and delicious with the sauce that other places make them thick this one was light and flavorful. I had the Kra Pao and it was very tasty. The seasoning of the beef was delicious and the rice w the egg on top made the dish over the top. I enjoyed my meal that night. The server was very nice and polite. I will be back for more!

What a delicious restaurant! Probably one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. Recommend everything we ordered! Tuna taro and the parmesan scallops were delicious. The duck for our entree was delicious as well! Can’t wait to try more of their menu

This was the most incredible lunch of my life. I truly felt immersed in Thai culture. We especially loved the rice and the Tom Kha soup. We also ordered small dumplings, and they were absolutely amazing. We highly recommend coming here for lunch or even dinner. And the staff is just wonderful. Save yourself the disappointment!! I tried BKK Thai and Sushi because I was told it was better than my regular, Kubo and I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I was told they did authentic Thai food so I ordered the Isaan and the Khao Soi. These were always our favorites while in Northern Thailand, so I was looking forward to it. The menu states “Chicken thigh with egg noodle”. Expecting pieces of chicken thigh in the curry I opened the pot and found a lonely soggy drum stick drowning in the sauce. It felt I’d been sent a severed limb as a warning to pay the ransom otherwise the rest of the chicken will “sleep with the fishes”. I thought this must’ve been a mistake so as I was only a 2min walk away I went back and said the menu states chicken thigh, and this is what I received, showing them the drum and hoping they’d make it right. All they could say was “sorry, this is how it comes” and I was sent on my way. I went back home and removed the meat from the bone so I could eat my curry. Much to my further dismay, the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar and the noodles had the texture of wet card board. The Isaan couldn’t have been further from authentic. The distinct smell of wet socks was a sign they used too much fish sauce and it tasted like it was made with pork belly that came from a pig killed when Thailand was still called Siam. Safe to say I will never go back to BKK Thai and Sushi. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Kubo.

I went to BKK Sushi with my daughter for my birthday lunch, and it was truly a beautiful experience. She casually mentioned it was my birthday just once and to my surprise, the staff came out at the end singing “Happy Birthday” with the sweetest “cake” made out of orange slices, so thoughtful, especially since I have celiac disease and eat strictly gluten-free. The quality of the sushi was absolutely top-notch, so fresh and flavorful! The service was outstanding and even the owner or manager came by to personally greet us and join in the birthday song. Their kindness, attention to detail, and warm hospitality really made my day. 🥰 Highly recommend!

I really loved the chill rooftop vibes. We had a good breeze so it didn't feel too suffocating with this Florida heat. Food was great especially the salmon belly roll. So good! Loved the happy hour menu! I was able to get my lychee martini off the menu. The service was quick and bartender was very friendly. I might end up being a regular customer haha

Craving Thai & Sushi for lunch, three of us went to BKK Thai & Sushi by Cilantro. The ambiance is clean and cool with airport codes and signs around the space. We shared a nice Fried Calamari appetizer and a delicious Hamachi Kama perfectly grilled. With Sushi in its name, I expected more. The lunch Sashimi & Sushi bento box lunch special was boring and similar to many other places. Are CA rolls a standard requirement?! The 3 sashimi pieces and 3 sushi nigiri pieces were the same fishes. Salmon, tuna, white fish. Maybe hamachi or other fish would have provided variety. From 3-6 pm daily BKK has happy hour specials but "At the bar only." Even though we were the only customers there at 3 pm, we had to pay our bill and move 10 feet to the bar. I thought my Cucumber Martini was way too sweet or too much elderflower (maybe it needed cilantro!). Others liked their Lychee Martinis. We might come back to try other lunch specials.

I've been a loyal customer for quite some time. I recently ordered drunken noodles, and I was very disappointed. First, my order was almost 30 minutes late, then when it finally arrived, it tasted... Sweet?! With absolutely zero spice!! I ordered, medium on the spice level not dessert noodles! I ended up having to dump my entire stash of red pepper flakes onto the noodles in order to save the flavor. However, if I wanted to cook, I would have just cooked at home instead of ordering your noodles to be delivered late and bland. You guys normally deliver the perfect spicy drunken noodles. Very disappointed. Most likely will not be ordering again. Don't wanna risk the wait and hassle. Use to be my spot.

The friendly service saved this restaurant from fewer stars. We stopped here on our way back to the airport for a quick lunch. The salmon avocado roll was ok. The sushi rice was the clumpy and overcooked - but it was palatable. The miso soup was decent- no complaint. The pad Thai was unpalatable- really unappealing sweet sauce. I tried my daughter's dish wondering how bad it can be- and it was pretty bad. Also had a very ick smell. The waitress was very nice and took it off the bill because it was virtually untouched. Last the tuna taro appetizer has a sickly sweet sauce on it- the mayo is great, but that sauce really ruined it. They need a lighter touch on that sweet sauce. Three stars because great service and very friendly, nice clean restaurant and good ambiance. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend it though or come back.

I was thrilled to have Bkk Thai & Sushi move into this location as it has its own parking lot which is rarely full, lots of good interior space and rooftop dining. The bar is good but the drinks are had measured with a shot cup. No free pour, so the amount of booze is somewhat miserly. Bkk has a good menu with everything one would want in Thai, and for those no into. Thai or Japanese foods, they have a good choice. I had their lobster pad Thai with the lobster grilled, stir fried rice, no, egg and scallions which was the real Thai this and delicious. I also had something I have never seep on a menu before, deep fried mussels. They were done just like calamari but with mussels instead. I found them to be most enjoyable. My Partner had a burger which he thought was very good.

I've ordered takeout from BKK a few times but I finally dined in for the first time. The space is large and nicely decorated. My boyfriend and I ended up choosing the rooftop. We were a little nervous about the heat but the large fans made it so perfect for an al fresco dining experience. The service was fantastic and very attentive. We both got Thai iced teas which were the perfect amount of sweet. For apps we got the shrimp shumai (steamed) which were good. Then we had the shrimp pad Thai & pad see ew with chicken. The pad Thai was just a litttleee too salty for my preference. Their pad see ew is my favorite dish and what I usually order. Overall, a great experience.

Official Review: I Came, I Larb'd, I Conquered If flavor had a passport, this place just stamped it with Lao spice, Thai heat, and a splash of yuzu sake sorcery I could drink by the gallon (okay, maybe five small, responsible bottles...but you get the point). The duck larb? Ducking amazing. The cashew shrimp? Slapped harder than Bangkok traffic. Every dish had layers like a spicy, umami-tangled dream that had me contemplating if I should just move in upstairs. Big shoutout to John, our server/bartender/hype man, who made the whole experience feel like dinner and a show. Friendly staff all around. And if you're into sunsets and rooftop vibes? The upstairs deck opens in the evening and it's giving main character energy. Possibly the best Thai food I've had in the area. Scratch that. Definitely!

We are sitting here now enjoying this amazing experience. The food is some of the best Thai we have had and we travel a lot and eat Thai a lot. The staff is absolutely amazing, extremely friendly and open to any question. Ben our waitress is amazing and has offered suggestions and has been extremely attentive to our table.

I came here for dinner with co-workers here while on a business trip, and it was a fantastic experience. We got seated right away, the atmosphere was lively, but not too loud, and family friendly. There was bar seating, and the group we came with felt comfortable. The wait staff recommended the Hamachi roll, and we are so glad we did. It was the best thing we ate all night. I got my usual green curry, and it was also a great portion size and good flavor. I would certainly visit again if i'm in town.

As soon as we walked into BKK, I knew we found the right place for dinner. The staff was extremely friendly especially Jane right off the bat and our server, Ben was fantastic. The pad Thai and tom Kha soup made my soul happy. If you're in Ft Lauderdale and you love delicious Thai food, BKK will make you feel happy.

Right near Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood airport. The bento is good, nothing special, pad Thai is little sweeter to my liking. Pork Penang curry is excellent. Overall a good experience. Friendly service. This place is also very cute.

Our server, Cartoon, was worth the visit.... The food, the atmosphere, the genuine welcome from staff was all wonderful. Having traveled in Thailand, I do eat more than the ubiquitous Pas Thai, nevertheless, I ordered with fried tofu and chicken. It was perfection. They also had my Pik nam pla... sure sign of authentic Thai! My husband had the ribs, which he love.... Medium heat, a touch too hot for him. What a cool place. Booth was comfortable and clean. Decor was nice. Nice drink menu and I had the Rockstar, for obvi reason, it was fn delicious. Try it out. Food was presented well and tasted even better. Great menu and great job preparing it all. Service was top notch. They were all very attentive of us.

After seeing all the glowing Yelp reviews, I decided to give BKK Thai a shot and ordered delivery through DoorDash. I went with the Drunken Noodle with chicken, extra spicy--and let me tell you, they do not hold back on the heat. I love spicy food, but this was next-level intense! While the spice was a bit much for me this time (note to self: maybe go down a notch next time), the flavors were solid. It was a good intro to their menu, and I'm excited to check out more of what they have. If you're a spice lover, BKK definitely knows how to bring the fire.

I used to come to this location when it was Anthony's and sit upstairs for happy hour with friends every Tuesday night. For some reason Bkk, the new owner of this location, with no fault of theirs had an annoying, constant traffic problem outside that you could hear throughout the whole meal. We sat at the bar which was especially nice because of the size of the TV screens they put in to watch my favorite sports. I mean they were so huge and perfect for that bar, but could not shake the noise factor on Federal Highway. We ordered the Awesome Sushi roll with the seaweed wrap which was very good and the Steamed Vegetables with Chicken which was on the bland side. There are several Sushi Thai restaurants in Broward now and to stand out it has to be something special. I would probably come back to eat in the main dining room downstairs to try other dishes as their menu has a HUGE variety to choose from. The server was very friendly and the service was spot on. I wish our experience was better but will hope to update it with a better one next time.

Finally made it here for lunch with a girlfriend. She had been here and enjoyed it. I was glad she was more than willing to come again. We got here early, but they were nice enough to seat us and wait on us even before they officially opened. Having been to this building in years past when this was Ernies Conch, I was most curious to see the changes. The interior has been upgraded, completely remodeled and updated. It's attractively decorated. My friend had a Thai ice tea. They gave her extra sweetened condensed milk on the side to add to adjust the sweetness. The lunch section of their menu has both Thai and sushi (bento box) options. We both decided to try one of their Thai dishes. Each dish came with either soup or salad to start. She had the miso soup and I enjoyed the mixed greens salad with ginger dressing. She had their cashew nut dish with chicken. It had a slight kick, but looked wonderful. I had shrimp with mixed vegetables. Both choices came with white jasmine rice on the plate. Service was very good. Everyone was quite friendly. We were checked on several times and even thanked for coming. And yes, I'd like to return sooner than later to try more menu items.

BKK has been on my radar for a while, firstly because I'm a big sushi and Thai fan, and secondly because I'm a big Cilantro fan (located in Davie and same owners I think). After finally going, I can say that BKK should be on everyone's radar. Service was awesome, from the hostess to our server. Prices were great (I love a JB roll that is under $10), and the menu had a lot of options. We got the salmon carpaccio as an appetizer which was great. The salmon was like butter and the sauce it sat in was fresh and flavorful. We also got a JB roll and a hamatchi hotto roll, and a mixed assortment of sashimi and salmon roll, which came with miso soup. Everything was fantastic. The weather was pretty nice too, so I'm glad we got rooftop seating. Overall, a great spot for yummy food and commendable service.

Delicious food and great service and huge variety in Fort Lauderdale near the airport. This place was formerly Ernie's, an institution here. BKK is owned by Cilantro which is a favorite in Davie. The menu is very similar. There is so much to choose from. We tried the whole fried fish which was really yummy. The tuna on crispy rice was so good. We also had drunken noodles. Our friends enjoyed drinks from the bar. My friend had the lychee martini and that looked so good. Fast service and local appeal

Oh wow! We love you his place. Jen, the manager, welcomed with a warm and friendly smile to us BKK the moment we entered the restaurant. She was genuinely happy to see us. These are the same owners that established Cilantros Restaurant in Hallandale and Davie. The interior of their newest establishment was very well accented with a modern fresh look. They have a full bar as well as a large sushi bar (with seating). BKK Sushi and Thai also features upstairs dining with large windows with a view of US 1. Our waitress, "Am" could not have been any nicer. She was so helpful with explaining to me my many vegan options. She was continually checking on us to make sure we were happy with everything. I do have to mention that one of the things that makes this restaurant so unique is that they have authentic Thai dishes. They even have many dishes with Holly Basil. We are so excited that the owners of this restaurant have done it again with another outstanding place to dine in South Florida. We can't wait to go back and try something else.

Our favorite Thai restaurant in Davie has just opened this new location in Ft. Lauderdale. We went to try it today and it was wonderful. This new restaurant offers a large selection of traditional Thai and Sushi dishes, but the main attraction is their Authentic Thai menu. This is a selection of dishes prepared exactly the way you would get them in Thailand. As far as I know, this is the only restaurant in Broward that offers this type of cuisine. The selection of dishes is fairly large, so I will be coming back to try more authentic dishes, but today I had the duck noodle soup and it was delicious. The duck was crispy and the broth was full of flavor. Other dishes we tried from the regular Thai menu (Cashew Nut sauce with tofu) and Sushi menu (Volcano roll) were also excellent. Service was as good as what we are accustomed to at Cilantro, friendly and efficient. You are always welcome with a smile, specially by the co-owner and manager Tan. This restaurant is located in what used to be Dirty Ernie's, just south of 17th street causeway on Federal Highway. The place has been completely remodeled and it looks great. They have only been opened 1 week, but I'm sure they are going to attract a large clientele very quickly. If you are looking to experience something new, you should definitely give BKK a try. I love this place! I've visited serval times and each time I love them more and more. The sushi always hit the spot for me. The staff is extremely nice and tentative. The Torch Roll & Hamachi Hotto Roll are my favorites.

Ok, so this place is really a 4 star. It's not that bad. So why did I give it a three-star, you ask? Every time I travel, I look on Yelp for the best restaurants. I'm looking for high ratings and a lot reviews, and Bkk Thai had both. The rating was 4.7 over hundreds of reviews. I had to try it! Compared to the hype, the meal was disappointing. I tried the shumai, which was "okay" and some fried appetizer which was blah. For the main course: kra pow off the chef recommendations part of the menu totally disappointed, and I didn't even eat it all. The pad thai was worse...it didn't match the photos online and was very ketchupy and basic. The food is tasty enough for an average night dining out, but nothing I would recommend if you are planning to treat yourself, as I was. Because of the opportunity cost to me of missing out on a great meal, I'm giving 3 star.

Beautiful 'rooftop' area which felt laid back. Efficient service. I enjoyed my Pad Thai and appreciated they had a number of protein options, even uniquer ones like crispy pork, crab or lobster. I felt the dish flavorful and the medium spice request spicy enough. I also really enjoyed my scallop hand roll. All n all I would return and recommend.

It was good nothing bad to say wasn't out of this world but was decent. Service was excellent. A little expensive for what you got. I don't think we'll be back. Just my opinion I have friends that love this place so I'd still say to try it

Happy hour isn't so happy if you're also dining. We were within happy hour hours, and because we weren't at the bar, they did not honor happy hour. Nothing on their menu or bathroom flyer says anything about being limited to bar. Bummer.... The food was good and service was disappointing due to the happy hour not being honored.

10/10...maybe 100/10. So so yummy. Great experience and service. I got the Panang curry w beef. Wow. Absolutely delicious. I even came home to finish the leftovers, and actually remembered to do so!!! Our service while at the restaurant was phenomenal. I wish i remembered the young man's name but he was friendly, helpful, and attentive. They were also really nice and engaged with our little one. I was nervous because it was Friday night and we were the only one with a toddler. I know some establishments are really picky about children (If you know, you know) but several staff engaged with our little one and it was just such a welcoming environment. This mama appreciated this level of inclusivity. Really cute vibes also for a date. It was a cute setting and they have an upstairs.

Excellent fresh sushi at a very reasonable price! The BKK roll and Sunset roll were tremendous! Sunset roll is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The crispy salmon skin hand roll was perfect. Mimi and Pun took wonderful care of us at dinner and treated us like family. They were attentive, friendly, and took extra time to recommend a dessert that would accommodate our kid's allergies. The next time I'm in Ft Lauderdale I am absolutely stopping in for lunch or dinner. 10/10

Not a lot of parking available but there is a valet in front of the restaurant. So, that's what we did. This location is the old Andy's Live Fire. A little of it still looks the same. Bar in the middle and kitchen to the side. We didn't go upstairs to see if there was a difference. Maybe we will go next time. But this time around, we started off sharing the wakame salad. It was a hit with the little one who had her first time trying it. For entrees, Rita had the Green Curry. I had the Fantasy roll and the yum pla foo. Everything came out reasonably fast and correctly.

Food, drinks, ambience amazing. Visiting from out of town, ordered sushi and Thai dishes and all were great. Two floors, top floor has multiple screens if you're looking to watch the game. Service was attentive, checked on our table even though was busy. Would definitely come again.

Yes, I would consider this a 5 star lunch in many ways. Let's start with the outside. Plenty of parking. Plus, it's free! The inside is beautiful and they have a roof top bar. My friend was so impressed with everything that she booked the roof top bar for an event she is hosting. The wait staff bent over backwards to accommodate every request that we had. Friend number #1 can get a little snotty, so I'm happy to report she didn't ruffle our server's feathers. Friend #2 was equally impressed and said she would love to come back. That's good because I want us to come back and celebrate my birthday lunch at the same table. Excellent food. Friends who know me know I never clean my plate. Not one of us had leftovers today. That's a mighty good sign.

Came here for a date last night, and it was so nice! We dined on the first floor and everything was new and clean. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious. We had the spicy salmon roll, drunken noodles with beef and panang curry with chicken. To drink we had a Thai iced tea and a gin martini (cold and strong). We were checked in on regularly and felt that we were well taken care of service wise. Looking forward to coming back again.

John the bartender is fantastic. Stopped in for some sushi and was pleased with the friendly service and nonchalant entertainment. Started with a a seaweed salad. Went with the signature roll, the BKK. It was delicious and fresh with a nice little salad on the side. Will try out the upstairs next time I am in.

We're heading on a cruise, so we came a day early and were looking for an Asian restaurant before diving into the usual American/French/Italian buffet battle. Their food turned out to be great--especially the Penang curry, which was the highlight for me. However, the Thai chicken wings were quite salty; I ended up peeling off the batter just to eat them. Overall, though, their dishes were solid and enjoyable.

Lovely new Thai/sushi spot in Fort Lauderdale. This spot has a big rooftop bar and plenty of seating on both floors. The menu is expansive and has tons of sushi and traditional Thai plates. We ordered a few things to try and were not disappointed with anything. The grilled octopus and fried mussels to start left us wanting more. Then on a "chilly" night, some soup was exactly what we needed. The kao soi and boat noodles were rich and hearty. The service was quick and friendly. Will surely be back to try sushi next time.

Fantastic first time experience. The food was spectacular. The service was even better. Made me and wife feel like we were Royalty! Lychee martinis were top drawer. Loved loved the Parmesan Scallops! How very cleverly simple delish. Tuna tacos had a shell like no other. Super light and and crispy. My wife had a yummy sushi roll . I had a traditional Thai dinner. No idea how to spell it. But it was delish! We are going back for sure.

LOVE IT!!! My husband and I went to try the new BKK Thai & Sushi restaurant in Ft Lauderdale for lunch today. We knew the food was going to be good because it's owned by the same owner of Cilantro in Davie. INTERIOR: nice and cozy and relaxing. Besides the normal table dining area , there is one main bar where many customers choose to sit there to drink and eat. There is another Sushi bar further inside the restaurant. There is also an opened-air, roof top bar/dining area on the second floor where I'm sure we will try one time when the weather gets cooler. FOOD: the Thai manager has really brought BKK to FLL. There are many traditional Thai dishes as well as Japanese on the menu. We didn't try any Japanese rolls but we tried the Uni shots. Our server, Ms Am, told us that they order only the top quality ingredients and I just had to try it although I was really there for their Thai food. The Uni shot comes with a piece of Uni, a raw quail egg, and green onions in ponzu sauce and drink it up in one go. The Uni was so sweet and creamy and blended so well with the raw egg. The aroma of the mix is still lingering in my mouth. Ms Am and the female manager were very attentive. They came around every now and then to make sure we were ok. Ms Am was so patient with all our questions about the menu and she explained and described so detailedly. I appreciate servers who know their food. We also had spicy grilled pork with roasted rice salad, scallop Parmesan, octopus Carpaccio, Pad Krapao, and crispy pork belly with rice. Sorry I forgot to take photos of some of our food but they were all delish!!! We will definitely go back and try other dishes and will take more photos next time. Easy 5-stars and thumbs up! Tips: we ordered the first dish at medium spice level and it was very spicy and we had to ask Ms Am to change the rest to mild spice. So unless you like the spicy hot challenge, I'll suggest to go mild and ask for hot sauce on the side.

Welcome to the neighborhood ! I was going to lunch with my co-worker and saw they opened a new place where dirty Ernie's and angus was ! I was quickly delighted to see that it was called cilantro which is my ultimate favorite hair restaurant in Davie . Just like Davie , their service is beyond friendly . Their food is delicious ! Had the chicken and cashew lunch special and my friend was so happy with her dish as well ! They have an incredible happy hour (with food) every day . The place looks gorgeous and of course they gave their roof top too ! I'm looking forward to a successful run with this wonderful and delicious restaurant I normally wait when a restaurant opens , but this was on point !!!

I've been hearing a lot about this place especially since Andi's closed. We used to come to Andys , but Andi's was way more mediocre than this place was. We were very happy with our experience last night and our server. Mimi was really awesome and gave a lot of great recommendations. my favorite role was the last role and my husband's favorite role was the sea of love , we also enjoyed the fall roll and duck soup it was great .... We also loved the rooftop seating and when it got a little bit windy, they sang and it was so nice. we will definitely be coming back

This Sushi and Thai restaurant probably has the best and freshest seafood I've had in A very long time. Sushi used to be an art and the fresher the better of course. Ive eaten at so many mediocre places but i finally found A really good one that's priced perfectly to what they serve. I've had dinner here twice and i can't get over how good everything is. It's still fairly new so you don't have to worry about A wait or reservations. I highly recommend it.

Brand new restaurant. Go now before it gets too busy to find a table! Super delicious authentic Thai. And can't wait to go back and try the sushi/sashimi. Service was fantastic and friendly. Great for all diets, vegetarian, vegan whatever but I enjoyed the Thai Ribs. Fiance had the spicy chicken. We split the papaya salad (highly recommend). What a little treasure of a restaurant!!!

The food was excellent, the drinks were delicious, and the service was outstanding! Generous chunks of fish in both the sushi and the poké bowl, and the cocktails came with fresh, fruity garnishes that really elevated the experience. Tony and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Fort Lauderdale!

The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is warm, hospitable, and efficient. BKK is a wonderful addition to Ft Lauderdale, and I highly recommend.
