I worked out of BKLYN Commons last week and the venue was great! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was shown around the space and made comfortable. The venue has kitchenettes which I thought was super cool, and the shared working areas are a perfect vibe for productivity. The outdoor space is perfect for an event!

Worked out of an office here for 2+ years. It's a very nice airy space with a roof deck for when it's warm out. Attentive and welcoming staff. Interesting collection of different businesses and groups working out of here. Definitely recommend BKLYN Commons to anyone looking for coworking space.

Very lovely community center. They have a lot of events for families. The building is lovely, spacious, and homely.

I visited for their annual small business expo and networking event ....it was really well put together ....lots of interesting vendors and seminars. I especially loved the speed networking one where we could help each other and give advice for current problems in our businesses. Really a great facility with small to big coworking "offices" For a reasonable monthly price. It also has a huge event space which can be rented for parties and different events.

Attended my friends 50yh birthday party here. A very nice sized space. She had two backdrops a 360 photo booth area and there is a separate kitchen space - there was also an elevated portion in the room. The DJ also was in an elevated section apart from the main seating area - Easily fits 100 people. Very nice - really clean bathrooms

Google
Really amazing place with great staff! I needed an office space last minute for a freelance project I was working on and Bronthie was so accommodating and helpful with getting me up and running in just a few days. Their month to month policy is so perfect for me as a freelancer who only needs an office part of the year. Hope to be back soon!

I joined Brooklyn Commons first week of January! This was my 2020 big goal to rent out a space and boom we signed the lease. My brand was growing and my customers wanted to place where they could find my products and test them as we have an Experiential body care range of products. When the global Covid-19 pandemic hit we immediately had to Pivot our effort to online, but decided to keep our space. Not only has the Management been with heart and understanding. They immediately gave us a discounted rent which we have been able to afford as are still dealing with the new norm and adapting to doing business online. They are community and small business driven and are making sure that everyone of us feel valued in the space. The space has provided space to store our inventory and still be to do business there. Thank Brooklyn Commons and I highly recommend the space to other Small Business owners. BKLYN Commons has your back and are interested in seeing everyone win.

Google
BKLYN COMMONS is more than just a venue or a co-working space, it's a community and a second home to many. Each location is unique, with expansive event spaces throughout, allowing accommodation for both small and large events of a myriad of types. Notably at the Flatbush location there's a large stainless kitchen with a lovely window wall, a massive two-tiered outdoor wooden deck and a spacious auditorium with high ceilings. The staff are sharp, professional and attentive – they are thoroughly devoted to the success of each event and each member. Both BC locations not only enrich their local communities , but NYC as a whole.

Yelp
I've been to this location plenty of times for facial and hair appointments. I must sat entering the venue takes patience. You either have to press the button on the intercom or wait until someone us exiting the building. There are a few restrooms on the ground floor, however, you need to know the pass code in order to ultize them. I knew the code initially, however, it recently changed and I'm unaware of the new code. The building is kept clean and there are so many suites in total. It's imperative to know ahead of time which specific suite you are going to because you can easily get lost. There's usually no one around to ask for assistance to location your desired suite.

Yelp
Hysterical to say that what I both witnessed during the event with my own eyes & have recorded evidence of is something "you can confirm did not happen." Edit: Added screenshots from said video-- one person entering with a bike & backpack while vows were being read & another office person accessing their space later in the party. I wasn't near my phone for the other few, but I resent the implication I would in any way lie. Given the mentioned "investigation" I'll refrain from posting other clear identifying photos of their employee. This is exactly the same kind of uncaring, condescending response I received initially & in line with my experience. & As with so much misleading information in this process, implying that we are liars or misinformed is easier than showing any empathy or accountability. Again, my only hope is that someone else can learn from what is being demonstrated here. I'll see myself out!

Yelp
I love BKLYN Commons! Have been doing the open desk membership for the past 6 months, and work here 4-5 days every week. Beautiful space and community, they host a number of local small businesses. When the weather is nice the roof desk is a great place to work. The staff is very friendly and quick to answer questions that come up. During my time here it has never been very crowded, always easy to socially distance and they are cleaning frequently. Also really conveniently located across the street from a subway entrance (B/Q) and close walk to a lot of lunch options. I have been recommending this place to others!

Yelp
I've worked out of more than 100 co-working spaces around the world and BKLYN Commons is amongst the top when it comes to the personal care that they put into serving each member. Crystal and Laura are always so accommodating. I've been working from there for 3 months now and their support has allowed me to grow the team to 5 people. The space is big, well lit and even includes an outdoor terrace. WiFi works great, 24hr access, close to B,Q and prospect park make it a great workspace for our team.

Yelp
My name is Alexis C. and I am a book keeper for a Non for Profit organization called Camba that is based in Brooklyn, primarily the Flatbush area. We throw an annual Holiday party and we were searching for a venue that was big enough as well as convenient enough for our staff to commute too. We came across Brooklyn Commons and went on a tour of the space we would be investing it and let me tell you, I have never walked into a building and felt like it was Brooklyn. The architect, the atmosphere, the people you connect with, it gives you a cultural feel. The staff was amazing, Laura, Joanne , Megan and Crystal were excellent with assisting us in making sure everything for our party operated smoothly. The employee's at Camba really appreciated having a roof top party and having a change of scenary. If your looking to host a party that supplies Cultural New York City Vibes than Brooklyn Commons is the place to go.

Yelp
I come here often for my internship with Benchmark Creative Group because we throw a lot of events for the small business & entrepreneurs of Brooklyn. This space is absolutely ideal for what they use it for. They have offices that are for people who work in the building but they offer a rooftop venue and large common area for event space. The staff is amazing, Joanne, Vereed (might be incorrect) & Omar are extremely pleasant and helpful. Constantly asking as well as assisting where they can. The space is pretty versatile in terms of how to set your event up, they provide the rooftop terrace with a small bar area and portion where you can set up heat stations like a buffet BBQ. This is located directly across the street from the Prospect Park exit of the B Train and a short walk to Brooklyn Botanical, as well as the Drink PLG where we usually order our alcoholic beverages for the events. Overall this place will continue being a great place for a community of individuals with the entrepreneur mindset. Follow @thebcgnyc to assist with getting your small business out there!

Yelp
I just absolutely love this place for three reasons: (1) huge multi-use spaces (2) decor is so Brooklyn such as the exposed brick wall and murals (3) cool, relaxed vibe. I am not a member of this growing co-working community, but I have experienced their event space as an attendee and planner. Their staff, Laura and Carolina are phenomenal women who work to ensure logistics is a breeze. The facilities are amazing, making me a tad bit envious of the entrepreneurs who call this incredible space their second home. I mean two kitchens, plenty of areas to work that are both public or off in the corner - on the balcony or lower level. Even the bathroom is on point lol. Simply amazing!

Yelp
Brooklyn Commons has become my go-to workspace away from my home office. The best decision that I have made is investing in an office at this space. There is a sense of community in the entrepreneurship and small business arena. My network has increased at this space due to the camaraderie and knowledge share that exist by the overflow of experience from various industries. I love it here and I think you would too.

Yelp
I absolutely love BKLYN Commons. I've had a one-person office for the last several weeks and can honestly say it's the best working space I've had. I appreciate how open the overall building feels. Multiple floors and an outdoor patio to enjoy are great during social distancing. The staff is incredibly kind and responsive and I always feel at home here. Cost is quite reasonable, space is lovely, and I plan to stay here for a very long time!

Yelp
The space is beautiful and the staff make you feel right at home. It's hard to find a space that can fit this many people and it's even harder to find a friendlier staff. Love BKLYN Commons!

Yelp
I loved hosting my event at Brooklyn Commons. The staff was SO accomodating - Bronthie, Joanne, Laura, Kim and Crystal are a godsend. Highly recommend! Venue is RIGHT off the b-q-s train lines at prospect Park so couldn't be more convenient. (When on the platform, exit via the sign that says Brooklyn botanical gardens - this will exit you right across the street from the venue).

Yelp
Finally, a co-working space where I can actually get work done! If you've never needed a co-working space before, it is very similar to the dreaded NYC apartment hunt. Demand is as high as the prices, and chances are you're going to end up in an office the size of a broom closet. Not with BKLYN commons. 1) The prices are actually reasonable. 2) The employees are genuinely nice and happy to help you. 3) The space is bright, cheery, and actually feels like a community. And it's family friendly. 4) It is right across the street from the Prospect Park stop. It doesn't get more convenient than that. This is a great spot if you're looking for an office space or need a place to host an event.

Yelp
BKLYN Commons was our wedding venue, and everything ran so beautifully. Our guests loved the space--both inside and on the roof--and we were able to enjoy our wedding without having to worry.

Yelp
I don't rent here because I didn't get a great opportunity to figure that out. I had a tour a few weeks ago and upon arrival there wasn't any front desk or patron I could speak with about my appointment. After being proactive and going upstairs to the second floor level there was a front desk with no one there so I waited a few minutes for someone to eventually come to me for help but that didn't happen so I walked until I saw someone that I could ask about who I was there to see, he told me to sit at one of the empty tables as he proceeded to knock on someone's office door and find out for me. She came out of her office to tell me she would be with me shortly but I had somewhere else to be and my schedule was pretty tight so my tour was due to start at 4:30 I believe and around 4:45 ish I headed out. I'm sure people were busy but the professionalism factor for a potential client wasn't good in my opinion. My experience just made me feel like I didn't matter honestly.

Yelp
BKLYN COMMONS is not where anyone should be purchasing event space for large events! My wife and I came to BKLYN commons for their space, for our wedding. We were gladly greeted with open arms, and told we would be able to have a wedding and reception with space for 150 (lie #1). We quickly gave a deposit, as we wanted to get married 10 weeks away from the date we initially approached them. After our deposit, we weren't helped much except for being directed to outside vendors to help with setup/decor//catering. Although this is fair enough as we only signed a contract for the space, equipment and minimal help from employees, we were also shocked to see on our wedding day that the employees that were supposed to help were much less than helpful, and contributed to a stressful wedding day for my wife and I. We were directed to "Kim Morrison", who is the event coordinator for BKLYN Commons, and runs a event planning service of her own. She was supposed to (as an agent of BKLYN Commons) assist with coordinating all of the vendors and organize our event. She did little of this, as she was preoccupied with helping her friends, whom we hired as vendors from her recommendation, with their work. We also dealt with "Crystal", who was very kind at first but on the day of our event had a terrible attitude because of the amount of work that was left to be done from the vendors, and she was being asked to do tasks that weren't a perceived part of her role. THE SOUNDSYSTEM AT BKLYN COMMONS IS THE WORST I HAVE HEARD IN 20 YEARS AND I REGRET USING THEIR SPEAKERS FOR MY WEDDING RECEPTION. Do not use their speakers!!! Pay extra to rent quality speakers! There is much more that can be said about this experience, but it doesn't apply to this company directly (Although an employee of this company coerced us into said experience). I will be writing reviews about: Unique Travel and Tours Sapphires Bartending and Waitstaff Kaylines Decor

Yelp
Too much cleaning going on--mopping, sweeping, vacuuming. Very distracting and hard to get work done. Awful coffee. Not very strong AC. Overall sub-par compared to other coworking spaces around Brooklyn.

Yelp
I had my annual charity fashion show at the PLG location and my guests absolutely loved the space! Johanne and her team were quick to help fix any issues we had and were very communicative. I would recommend ANYONE that has any kind of event to consider BKLYN Commons!!!

Yelp
This venue is a pot of gold in an area of Brooklyn that you wouldn't expect. A beautifully productive community of entrepreneurs, with a beautifully set up rooftop venue and event space. The staff were so kind, responsive and even helped our during my event because they wanted "to see me succeed"... That was outstanding to me and loved having that genuine moment of unconditional support. This will be my go-to venue for upcoming events! Thanks to the wonderful and cooperative staff at BKLYN Commons for welcoming Komeeda and our Kommunity!

Yelp
We used BKLYN Commons as the venue for our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! Once we saw the roof deck, we were sold. It actually ended up raining that day, so we had to move most of the party to the indoor space, which was also pretty awesome. The place is pretty new/green, so I don't think they've had much experience dealing with big events yet, but in the end, everything worked out and they were very accommodating. I would definitely suggest this spot for anyone's big event (the roof deck is gorgeous!) and it's pretty affordable too. Thanks for making our day special!

Yelp
This place is an amazing asset for so many reasons. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and it is inspiring to see the old Bond Bread factory being revitalized in such a community oriented way. Get your space now, from what I've heard, they are filling up quick.

Yelp
I've had a one-person office for the last 2-3 months. The place is quiet, peaceful, well-managed, has an excellent outdoor terrace. Very simply, It is a very good place in which to work. A place to be productive in. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
BKLYN Commons Events Dept. is the WORST! They're not professional at all. I scheduled a walk through twice. The first time the person didn't show up. The second time she was late and someone else had to show me around. She never contacted me to apologize. Do not waist your time. The names are Kim, Charlyn & Kristen. Any of these three people are unprofessional in all aspects. They don't respond to emails, I requested a quote after seeing the space and it's been a week with no response. The owner needs to find a new events management team. Read other reviews before doing business with them.

Rachel L.

Yelp
I've hosted a few events here (a party and a yoga class - very different vibes) and have loved how flexible the staff and space are. We were able to use the event hall one time and the rooftop another and found it created a welcoming/accessible space. The staff is helpful and quick to communicate.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE. Stunning rooftop for hosting events or even just having a quick breath of fresh air. Great environment for getting work done. Johanne is a Godsend and is very helpful in helping you plan and execute your event. All our guests loved the space and didn't want to leave. I'm so excited they are in the community and I can't wait to host more events there!!! They really have something great going on!!

Auriell T.

Yelp
BKLYN Commons has been such a great place to work. They continuously go above and beyond for our team, helping to plan events, find space, and create an inviting and accommodating atmosphere for us. It has been a joy working with the team here and Crystal and Laura have been wonderful partners and collaborators!

Yelp
I absolutely love this co-working space!!! I have been to several in the past years and I can't think of a better space to work from in Central and South Brooklyn!! The staff is so friendly and you feel that you are part of a community. The design is extremely inspiring and is conveniently located across from the B,Q line at Prospect Park and you can have lunch in the Park! This is a great location for even people working in Manhattan. There are great events and there is much natural light. The meeting rooms are so well designed and one even includes a skylight. Looking forward to the outdoor area this Spring! If you are looking for a place to work from and are tired of waiting for tables at coffee shops and paying more for food and coffee then come over to Brooklyn Commons. You will be working with a community without the pretension.

Yelp
If you are considering having your wedding or any other special event here please read. We decided to have our wedding here in September 2019. Initially we were told at the walkthrough with Crystal that they would be able to accommodate our wedding and they have a team of people they recommend for event planning and decor. As a bride with limited time to plan I was excited to hear this. My husband and I took all The information from Crystal and contacted each individual for their services. First was Kim- the event planner. We had several in person and over the phone meetings with her in which she guaranteed professionalism and quality services. I reviewed all the items I will be purchasing and exactly where in the hall I wanted them placed. She gave us her bill and we accepted the charges and moved forward with the planning. She put us in contact with sapphire provided the catering services. She also stated she has been in business for several years and offered to provide an excellent experience with bartenders and servers for our special day. The third person was Kayleen who we rented the tablecloths and ceremony back drop from. Let's just say neither of them followed through in what they proposed. Our wedding was saved by the help of our family members who stepped in and got things handled. Thankfully. So if you plan on having an event in this space hire your own event staff and be sure they get there several hours ahead of time to ensure your event is not ruined.

Yelp
Wonderful space with a great terrace. Lots of light, very open, and it's easy to meet many interesting people in all kinds of fields - everything from web developers and ux designers to documentary film-makers and bonsai tree curators! The staff is warm, welcoming and accommodating. There is free coffee (you do have to bring your own artificial sweetener if you don't take sugar... my only small gripe) and a nice kitchen area with a sink, large fridge/freezer and microwave. Internet connection speed is super fast. Membership options include open desks (reserved or unreserved) or small private rooms, some larger than others, to set up a more permanent office space. Two well-appointed conference rooms available to rent on an hourly basis. All told I've been really happy with the space and the people there. Definitely recommend!!
