Breakfast here was delicious. Menu is large with a variety of food to choose from. They do offer coloring kids menus. I got the eggs on beef taquitos with hash browns. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, my niece, the pancake with chocolate chips and strawberries and a side of bacon. Affordable and decent prices. Our waiter was polite and quick to taking our orders and all our food was served hot and correctly. They have and interesting advertisement on their sign outside that had my family laughing. Highly recommend. Worth the trip to eat at this lovely restaurant.

Well worth traveling all the way from strip! We made the trip for their vegan options and wow they did not disappoint. A table for two was a walk in and be seated right away on a Sunday morning. They do take reservations on their website and we're responsive when called by phone as well if you have a bigger group. The staff was friendly, attentive, and well educated on all their offerings. My server recommended a new item, a vegan steak and eggs, which was absolutely fantastic. Everything was clean and had that warm friendly dinner atmosphere. We will definitely return here again to try more of their ample vegan breakfast options. They do have non vegan options as well, so it is an excellent place to take groups with mixed dietary restrictions.

Amazing vegan options, very delicious and such variety. I had the vegan steak & eggs, which were magical. Very friendly staff and excellent coffee. Well worth the detour from the strip if you’re from out of town. Thanks for being vegan-friendly!

I’m so happy they have a separate vegan menu. I’m vegan and my husband is not, so it’s nice to have a place when they have so many excellent options for both of us. This visit I had their new “Vegan Steak and Eggs” wow! This is one of our favorite spots for breakfast. Amber’s service was stellar, she’s very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They were busy so we waited about 15 minutes to be seated, but everything else was flawless.

Awesome experience. They have a separate vegan menu with traditional style options like omelets, “Chunk” Steak, “Thrilling” Bacon, etc. They even have a vegan desert menu with cheesecake! Awesome staff, great food, convenient location. Definitely coming back!

We ordered on 5/18/25 and our order number was #76, only putting that in case they read this review. Ordered food from them and they forgot my avacado and grits. Cant call them and complain because the phone is constantly busy and I tried to email them and their email doesnt work( I included a photo to show its undeliverable). Food portion was small in my opinion and chicken fried steak was hard and dry. My wife and I wanted to try it since it was close to us and we will not go back after this incident. I really expected so much more based on the reviews. Totally let down.

We wanted to at another restaurant, fortunately for us that restaurant was packed... We ended up looking on Goggle for breakfast restaurant close to us... Black & Blue Diner did not disappoint... Friendly staff, quick service, and great atmosphere... Our food was on point with taste... Being from Hawaii, believe me, I was shocked that they severed spam and rice... 😁🤙🏾🤙🏾 Their chicken fried steak was pretty good... Good vegan options they even use separate surfaces/area for vegan preparation. Some glutenfree vegan options also, they don't have glutenfree bread/toast but they're grits are GF and can be made vegan. Photo is the vegan jackpot entree.

First and foremost this place is worth the drive, cab, uber, 10km run, whatever you got to do to get here. They literally have the grinch on their front window for the holidays so I think that tells you all you need to know right? I'm plant based. I have not eaten French toast in decades and this was the first time I've been able to try one since then. Simply put - it was the best French toast I've ever eaten. That's it. That's the review. We also had the omelette which was delicious as well but that French toast. I'm going to be dreaming about that for weeks. Amber served us here and she was amazing. Good recommendations, super friendly, told us the story of the holiday window decorations, and was just a wonderful person. Want breakfast or lunch? Don't waste your time on the strip. Come here. It's worth every second.

You don't even have to ask for refills or swivel your head if you need anything because he's right there delivering it and checking in on you. Terrific Tuesday morning breakfast at this diamond in the rough diner. Service was fast and friendly and the diner was clean and welcoming. Huge menu with vegan options! Great spot for everyone's dietary wants and needs. Rewards program offers good discounts that will keep us coming back! $5 off all day Tuesday with purchase of $30 or more!

We wanted something quick to eat before some golfing, and came across this diner. There was no wait when we got there which was great. We had a burger, 2 salads, and the chicken and waffles. And wow! Every dish we got was amazing. I would definitely be back when I'm in the area again. The service was great, the place is clean, and the food is a 10/10!

This is a great spot for vegans and non vegans! The food a was your wonderful typical diner spread. Only with a vegan menu also! The service was on point. The vibe was a chill diner feel, the kind you would make your local diner spot to keep going back to.

I had an appointment at a car dealership at 7:30 A.M. in the morning on a Saturday. After my husband and I dropped off our vehicle, we decided to look for breakfast spots that were open early! Black & Blue Diner was one of the closest breakfast spots open near the dealership! Black & Blue Diner is right off of the 95/Decatur exit. It has a few parking spots available! We got there several minutes after it opened! The restaurant's interior is super cool! There is a dining bar area if you want to sit there instead of at a table or booth. There were only a few other customers inside when we visited! We had a table for two. The team member who was assisting our table was amazing!! He immediately brought over menus and waters! Looking over the menu, Black & Blue Diner has breakfast and lunch options available! You'll see some classics like omelets, pancakes, waffles, burgers, patty melt, and so much more! I had to go with one of my favorite options, which is a patty melt with no onions! My husband got the fried steak with grits on the side! The customer service at Black & Blue Diner is amazing. The team member filled up my sprite multiple times! He also checked on our table, asking if we needed anything! The food arrived quickly! We waited less than 15 minutes for the entrees! The Patty Melt looked scrumptious. Unfortunately, I didn't like the texture of the ground beef that was used. It tasted more like a meatloaf. The rye bread was good, though! The French Fries were yummy, coated with a variety of seasoning blends! I don't think I would order the Patty Melt again. My husband enjoyed the fried steak, though! It was loaded with gravy! The grits were interesting! Black & Blue Diner was on my Yelp Collection list to try out! The customer service here is amazing, but the food was just okay! There are some special deals like $5.00 off if you dine in on Tuesday currently or if you enroll in their rewards program!

Went here for the first time yesterday. Has the typical diner look on the inside and out but was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and welcomed us the minute we walked in. It's small and we arrived around 10am but were able to get a booth. They have an entire page for vegan options which is exciting! My husband had the breakfast sandwich and I had the French toast with strawberries. It arrived pretty quickly and the food was very good! Overall was happy with our experience and plan to be back soon.

Came here today with my friend. He ordered the chicken fried steak, he said it was a bit over cooked...but he ate it.... I ordered The Vegan Jackpot breakfast w/real eggs because I am an Ovo Vegetarian (No meat, dairy, honey but do eat eggs) w/French Toast, sausage, Hashbrowns. Delicious. Ordered a coke but it was flat so I ended up just drinking water which was fine, do not need to drink so much crap, really worked out in the end. Service was good, a guy whose name I didn't catch sadly... No real complaints, Thanks for stopping by and talking to us Kylee :) always appreciated. I love this restaurant though, they have so many vegan options for me and I know they are always adding new items, they also have lunch items, free mints, clean bathrooms, comfortable tables and booths.... Just great!

Finally trued this place (after having it as a bookmark for a while). The staff sat us, immediately( despite having a party of like 43 people having a party). The service was attentive. Ordered the French toast burger and a country scramble. The food was delicious.

I had a great time at black & blue diner. Their food was great, service was decent, and we were overall happy with our visit. It did take quite a while to be seated, which I know is just poor planning on our part, but it would be nice if they had a little quicker turnover.

Did a to go order today got me a French toast waffle with blueberries since that's what all I seen on the photos. The service was quick and the ambience was Homie. Next time I will dine in. Waffle is on the soft side and fluffy. I'm happy that I put blueberries because I made the refreshing and balances the sweetness overall very good. I will come back to try other foods on the menu especially the vegan side sounds interesting. If you're looking for breakfast brunch with a lunch and dinner menu and you're in the area, give them a try. Prices are a little bit higher, so bring your wallet.

A small diner but big on flavor and service. Pancakes were tender, chewy and cooked perfectly. Husband ordered the breakfast burrito and almost could not finish it. Dining area and restroom was very clean. Will definitely go back.

We happened upon this place accidentally while visiting from out of town. Everything was A+++, from the service to the food. The shrimp and grits was amazing! Our drinks were never empty, and our server always had a smile. Very filling and satisfying breakfast.

Went back for the 2nd time and once again a good experience and food was delicious. The service was friendly and the young gentleman was great. (Same guy from last visit) the restaurant wasn't as packed as last visit we got to sit a comfy booth this time around. Still playing great music while we ate and enjoyed our food. 4/5 stars New York Classic Breakfast Sandwich Got it with crispy bacon and eggs over medium. 4/5 stars Philly grilled cheese. Added bacon and mayo They make it with Texas toast bread so kinda like a patty melt.

The food is fresh and very tasty. Amber was as nice as can be and really made us feel welcome. We had a complicated order. We appreciate that Amber was accommodating. She has excellent multi-tasking skills. We look forward to coming back.

This place has become out absolute go-to for breakfast. The menu is packed with vegan options, and every single one we've tried has been incredible. What's great is that they also offer animal-based options so it's perfect for brining non-vegan friends and family. The quality, variety and attention to dietary preferences make it stand out. Highly recommend stopping by.

This was our first visit to this diner, and we'll be back again to give it a second try. Service was absolutely excellent and all the staff was very friendly. No wait for a table, but my husband and I chose to sit at the bar. Food was only so-so. I ordered the steak and eggs. My over-easy eggs were cooked excellent and the NY style potatoes were perfect. The steak tho had so much fat on it, that about 1/2 ended up in napkins as I couldn't knife or chew through it. I ordered my steak medium rare but some of it was too rare. Disappointing steak, but again, everything else on my plate was great! My husband ordered an omelette which he very much enjoyed, he also ordered a waffle on the side which ended up costing $14(!) -- one basic, flat waffle for $14??? !! My coffee was ok. Not the best coffee, not the worst, tho it tasted a bit burnt.my husband ordered a bottle of Yoo-hoo, which is nice that they carry it. With a 25% tip, the total was just under $80, which felt very pricey to me for 2 people for what we ordered. I will give this place another try in a few weeks as the overall experience was pleasant, just not really worth the price. They have a lot of vegan items on the menu and have a rewards program which is nice. As someone who grew up eating at East Coast diners almost my whole life, I would say that the cost vs. what you get at this diner isn't worth it, even with the excellent service. I will be back to give this place another shot and will post here, but if you are looking for a true diner experience, there are a ton of other options in Las Vegas with trying first.

This place serves very good pancakes. The service was friendly. Easy parking lot. Everything has gone up in price no matter where you go. My breakfast without a drink was about $20. Seems a bit steep for the experience and location. The food itself was good. The turkey sausage patty was very skimpy

Food:: Another Sunday morning breakfast! My favorite spot! 2 Vegan Egg scramble with an extra egg, hashbrowns with a second order, vegan toast and vegan butter , and coffee! Yummmmmmm! Service: always the best! I love sitting at the counter across from the YooHoo cooler. (I can't drink it, as it is not Vegan. It Just brings back childhood memories from my childhood from upstate New York! Therefore: Once again, I will be back. See you next Sunday morning at the counter!

I went to Black and Blue Diner on a Sunday morning. I liked the classic diner setup, and the waiter I received was friendly. I ordered the steak and eggs, hash browns, grits, and water. The waitress asked if I minded that the grits contained garlic, and I didn't. The grits contained a hint of garlic. I loved all my food, and the helpings were so large that I had to take a to-go plate. An employee said, " You look so handsome," and took a picture of me to put on the Black and Blue Diner Instagram page. However, my photo never appeared on the page, so maybe the woman kept the photo for herself. I also read that Black and Blue Diner has a loyalty program that comes with a 10% discount on your next visit, so it's wise to sign up to enjoy some tasty food located in North Las Vegas regularly.

We started giving them another try and I'm so glad we did! The kitchen has stepped up their game! The vegan omelet is now my favorite item on the menu! Add green chili peppers, you'll thank me later! Portions are still HUGE. They also get bonus points for serving Vegas Vegan Culinary Kitchen's veg cheesecakes. Service is always fast and attentive. My only complaint? Adding half an avocado to your meal is $4.50! I think I'm getting old. lol! Luckily, they clearly advertise it, so you know what you're getting yourself into. (Yes, I still ALWAYS add it! Haha) Definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the extensive vegan menu. I ordered the chilaquiles and wished the sauce had a kick to it. Everyone enjoyed their vegan pick of the morning. It's a typical diner menu and nothing really stuck out, but was tasty and I'd return. The service was good, our server came by a few times to check on us. I checked in via Yelp and received $5 off which was neat. The inside of the restaurant is typical diner with booths that were comfortable. Easy enough parking outside.

Comfortable booths and spacious restaurant! We had great service also. I had a question about the cole slaw whether it was 'oniony' and she assured me that it wasn't and I was pleasantly surprised that it was perfect for me!! I really liked the cole slaw a lot. I didn't want a burger today so I got a grilled cheese with spam and tomatoes. I loved that sandwich. The other two got burgers - one was a double and the other, a single with fries, which they were quite pleased with. I definitely know we will be back here again.

Small diner with a good menu. Service was good and food was also delicious. The cheese fries were good but they were so drenched in cheese they got soggy. Order the cheese on side. My chicken philly melt was delicious and my husbands breakfast was basic but good flavor and fresh.

Nooooooooo I placed an Uber eats order and I knew I should of went in. My order was incorrect....my bag was closed with my name and the correct order on it. The order was wrong, so it was bagged and sealed knowingly that it was incorrect. So I called first time a man answered and blamed the driver "maybe he gave you the wrong order because he took two orders out" Umm no my order was closed and had ketchup in the bag for what?! No fries I asked for manager and my phone disconnected.. Called again a rude female answers "yes ma'am" dry...apparently call ID I supposed....threw me for a loop I'm like is this the black and blue diner and she says "yes" I'm like okay can I speak with manager...left on speaker and I can hear the back ground "do you want to speak with her or should I tell her to call back" Manager comes on phone and states they are human and I need to call Uber...yes yal are human but reading an order and actually putting the correct food items! Why not be human on that part...why put ketchup in the bag and seal the bag with a wrong order and then blame the driver ...over the phone customer service was horrible...let me throw up this food and deal with them again ...order on my bag shows the correct bag was given and the food that was ordered...how can humans make this mistake it's only reading!

5 stars for their IMPRESSIVE SERVICE!! Every single person in the restaurant was friendly. Special shout out to Eric, who was exceptional. Type of server that will just make your day! As for food, they have lots of options, including vegan! I had chicken and waffle. Friend chicken was good but the waffle could have been fluffier and thicker.

Amazing ! Food was delicious! I have a family with a few picky eaters and they were very impressed. Went on a Sunday morning , it was pretty full and we waited maybe about 10 minutes to be sat. Usually have to add seasoning on my biscuit and gravy and let me tell you.... None was needed. Deff found our new breakfast joint!

What a great little diner! Being from a state known for its diners, I'm so glad I found this place. They seem like a small family owned restaurant with decent seating capacity. While the inside looks a little dated, it's extremely clean. We were promptly greeted as we walked in and given a choice of seating locations. They were quick to get our drink order and were attentive to be sure to check when we're ready. The food here is well portioned and the presentation is what you'd expect from a family friendly spot. More importantly, the taste is flavourful and I can believe I've not ventured to this place sooner! If you have memories of a hole in the wall spot where the food is delicious, this is a stop for you.... oh... and they're vegan friendly! What?!?! Can't wait to come back!

Vegan breakfast is usually difficult and when not at home, we usually opt for an energy bar! This is a great option for vegan breakfast. I was stuffed and satisfied and was not hungry again until dinner time! Got the vegan omelette with NY diner fries which came with a side of grits. The grits alone would have been more than enough breakfast for me. But it was fun to splurge and eat a lot once in awhile. Our server was helpful and efficient and our food came out quick. The decor is very traditional New York diner style. I'd love it if there were more gluten free options for variety.

Great diner environment, very casual and welcoming, with incredible staff and an impressive menu of delicious food that can satisfy everyone from omnivores to vegans. I was informed that they prepare their vegan food in a separate part of the kitchen from their food with animal products. How cool! Amber was our server and took amazing care of my group. Their vegan menu has both breakfast and lunch and I can attest the vegan breakfast sandwich, vegan steak n eggs, and vegan omelet are phenomenal. When I ordered a coffee, they offered me a choice of almond or oat milk to go with it. Also, it is worth noting there is a free parking lot for this place since it's off the strip. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem for a great lunch! The service is always good here. I have tried many different items on their menu and have never been disappointed! Even the presentation is on point. Prices are very reasonable, give it a shot!

I am SO impressed with the vegan options here! It tasted so much like the real thing that I had to ask my meat eater friend to verify that it was vegan. I had the vegan omelette with steak and hash browns and the vegan chipotle chicken sandwich with a salad. The ranch dressing was very yummy, but not super similar to ranch. The steak is definitely better than the chicken. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick. It was a friend's birthday, and they gave us a whole slice of cake for FREE! Another friend got the (non vegan) grand slam meal and it was HUGE. Always going to come here when I'm in Vegas.

Eating here is always a great experience. From the time we enter we are greeted with a Smile from the staff. The food is always so delicious. The Vegan options have variety and always taste delicious. Our last visit Amber helped us and she is always so pleasant and helpful. The Diner is always clean and they play great music as well. For my hubby and me, this is our go to for a great affordable meal with large portions as well.

When we travel as a family I tend to search for vegan spots because my husband is vegan. I was very happy to come across Black and Blue because they had several vegan options for him. The portions sizes are large and the prices are average for the area. The service was great and the space was cute diner style.

So, I woke up and saw a post on Facebook about the diner with a Vegan breakfast with hash browns. As a Vegan, it has been forever since I had them. So, my friend and I headed over. Food: Simply wonderful! The eggs were so good, I thought they were real eggs! The toast was great with Vegan butter! Yummm! Ordered an extra side of hash browns! Loved them! Thank you for the Heinz 57 ketchup in a bottle and not a knock off ketchup in a small ramekin! The coffee, straight out of New York, was Chock Full of Nuts! Delish! Service: The servers had delightful east coast attitude! The server offered a tasting of the grits! Very nice! Next time, I will order them. Everyone working there made us feel like we were in a New York eatery! Ambience: The cold case with YooHoos made the whole experience an east coast delight! THEREFORE: "Will Be Back"!!!!

Came here during the peak time on a Saturday. Their breakfast and lunch menus both have plenty of vegan options. I had the Vegan Breakfast Bowl with plant-based steak, along with grits (and vegan butter). This was a sizeable meal to finish. I enjoyed it, although it was prepared with more oil than I prefer. Next time, I would ask if they could prepare it with little or no oil. It's worth noting that their dessert menu includes cheesecakes made by Vegas Vegan Culinary School & Eatery. I love to see this local plant-based collaboration. I love the lively neighborhood vibe at this classic diner--which is worth coming here just for that! Our server, Kylee, provided us with friendly and attentive service.

I was teaching a class and unfortunately we didn't have enough food for the class. It's not my fault but manager offered to take me out to lunch. Usually I declined, but the manager was a really good guy so I went and he took me to this gym of a place and I loved it, the food was amazing, great atmosphere

As a vegan, I have been coming here for a year now. The food is amazing, the service is amazing, and the consistency is there. Everyone there is amazing. Amber is our favorite. She is always our server and great example of what customer service should be. They have great options for Vegans and non Vegans and have 2 separate kitchens. I 100 percent recommend the Vegan omelette with raw veggies.

I was looking for a breakfast place to accommodate my vegan and meat-eating family. I was pleasantly surprised to find Black & Blue Diner. Most restaurants that have vegan options will only have one or 2 options, and they usually include tofu scramble. But Black & Blue Diner had several options for us to choose from. I went with the vegan Breakfast Bowl with plant based steak. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Service was top-notch as well. Our server Kaylee was very attentive and sharp. When hubby's Vegan French Toast came with real butter on it, Kaylee noticed right away and offered to replace it. We have definitely found a new breakfast place for when we visit town. We needed one too since our usual place (VegeNation) is not open anymore. RIP.

I like this place, the food is good and even though the place is small... it is big in quality. Did I mention that I worked in this building when I was 16 and it was an Arby's!!

Love the food, service, and prices. Quality food and has a good amount of plant-based options. The restaurant has an old school diner feel and is very clean. This is now a favorite stop when visiting Las Vegas. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love that they have vegan options. I think breakfast is something we don't find many options for and this is a great place to go with friends and family that may not be vegan and everyone can find something they like! Very clean restaurant and friendly staff.

After an appointment this morning, I got on the freeway and went a few stops to Decatur Boulevard to try this restaurant which has been book marked for a while. The place was almost empty so there was no problem with parking. There is a lot of parking on both sides of the building. The main entrance is on the south side but there's also an entrance on the north side. The server told me to sit anywhere I wanted, so I went to the back of the restaurant where I found a two top. There are menus on every table that are removed after you order. The server brought me a mug of coffee before taking my order. I had looked online at their menu and I had decided to have a Mexican breakfast. I ordered the hueovs taquitos. You have a choice of potato and I went with home fries. My choice for the eggs was sunny side up. After a short wait, the breakfast came. The eggs are on top of three beef taquitos that are topped with red and green salsa. There is an ample servicing of potato. I dug in and started enjoying the breakfast from the first bite. The combination of salsas with the taquitos was very good. There was a small amount of refried beans and there was some sour cream on the beans. The server came around with her coffee pot and refilled my mug. The server was excellent! Paying was easy. She had entered my order on a device and I used Apple Pay to pay the bill. Three things to note: There is a $5 off offer for a Yelp check in and there was no problem using it. If you are coming from the freeway, you have to use a left turn lane a block before Alta and make a u-turn to get to the restaurant. Coming from the South, it would be on your right side. They have a drive through if that's what you want.
