This steak house is exsisting on reputation and they are inconsistant. The quality of my staek at Black & Blue would have been an imbarrassment for Sizzler. For over 50 yrs of my 70yrs, dinning out (not just eating out) has been my avoction. Ordering steaks on 5 continents , from most every major city, to small Montana and Texas towns where the chef personally knew the steer, I've developed an appriciation for a truly good steak. The ribeye steak I recieved at B&B was quite possibly the worst piece of meat I've ever tried to chew. Ordered medium, it arrived with barely a pink line, hard, and not one ml of juice. Bone dry. To make it worse, it had that very strong dry taste of a chemical tenderizer. Even the very coveted spinalis doris, that juicey crown, was dry, chewy and tasted like it had been dragged throught the chemical plants in Niagara Falls. When I informed our waitress, she said "oh, sorry, I'll get you anohther" a second one was delivered shortly and was a bit better BUT still not nearly the quality nor taste that is worthy of a top Steakhouse. It still had the taste of a chemical tenderizer. Also, one wold think that at minimum there would be a visit from the Manager to offer his/her apologies. Nope . Certianly not looking for any adjustment or "freebee" , but at least an acknowledgement from manament. Our waitstaff was attentive but in that pre-recorded "Stepford Wife" kind of engagement. Food at a restaurants should be good, regaurdless of it's cost, but it is especially disappointing to pay hundreds of dollars for a steak dinner that would have been better at Outback. (and I really don't like Outback)
