NorCal’s Black Bear Diner Arrives In Katy | Eater Houston

"An out-of-state California import opening at 24600 Katy Freeway, this family-friendly, bear-themed comfort-food diner occupies a spacious 5,400-square-foot, 150-seat lodge-like space complete with bear statues. The straightforward menu focuses on home-style classics — burgers, sandwiches, salads, meatloaf, chicken-fried steak, and grilled salmon and trout — while breakfast is served all day with items like egg scrambles and bacon-infused pancakes, plus signature bear-claw pastries shaped like a paw. Opening on Monday, March 19 with daily hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the restaurant marks the brand’s 109th location across 10 states and the start of a Texas expansion (with outposts in Austin and San Antonio and another Houston-area spot planned); it remains to be seen how the mountain-lodge aesthetic will be received in an area where crawfish is king." - Alaena Hostetter

I wanted to spend time with my kiddo and I choose that place. We had great time. The food is tasty, Delaina, our server, she was so kind and generous. The food was great. We got free Pancake, see the picture. Deliciousness. My son got a free Sundae 🍨 too. It was really a great experience. And also Jeff passed by asking us about the food and how was our experience. Those people take their job really at a high scale. Well done guys. See you soon...

Service: the service was fine, not good or bad..just fine. They were not very attentive but the order was right. Food: The biscuits are dreadful to me. Others may disagree. They are very dense. They are large and extremely thick, not at all fluffy. The chicken.fried steak was like a school cafeteria item from my childhood but the gravy was EXCELLENT. Potatoes were really good, eggs were from a box and the grits were awful. Atmosphere: the booths need walls, there is zero privacy here. The decor is cute but the layout is tight. Handicap accessible: while there, I saw may people in walkers. The area is narrow so people have to be in a line to walk. The people with walkers were getting by but it was noy easy for some. I felt bad. Price: cost too much for boxes food. Nothing felt fresh to justify the price.

First time here and the wait time wasn't long and was busy for a weekday. The diner/ restaurant has a theme of course and that is the bear which is cute. The atmosphere felt so comfortable. My waiter was friendly and attentive really appreciate that and the food is good and big portion so come hungry. The menu is the newspaper and i got to keep as a souvenir and they have a gift shop at the front too! Next visit im going to buy a t-shirt and maybe the bear plush why not. 😊

Me and my man came in to get some breakfast for dinner tn. Our server Addie was amazing and super helpful she really has great customer service skills!! Totally recommend asking for her if she’s in 🥰 my man tore UPPP his pancakes (he wouldn’t shut up about how good they were) and I had an egg scramble with the cinnamon roll French toast, it was all very delish. Would definitely come back <3

Great! Great! Great! Came in today, no waiting - other than us, trying to make up our minds on what we were going to have. It was a great day. Shout out to our waitress, awesome Ashley, and although she didn't serve us today - marvelous Maddie, who has served us in the past! If you have never tried it, please try the bread pudding French toast, and ask for ice cream and extra pecan praline sauce. You won't be disappointed...

This place is fantastic! Food is delicious and staff are outstanding! Our servers Cesar and Ozzy are amazing! Great personalities, very courteous, professional and just a great guys! From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted by Elissa, seated in Caesar’s section (by request of course), and waited on quickly! Menu has a variety to choose from and affordable too! If you’re looking for some great breakfast items, I highly recommend the Volcano. Lots of food at a reasonable price. The guys behind the scenes (Tony & Destin, chefs) do an awesome job getting our orders out quickly, hot and exactly as ordered! I highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it!!!

This diner was delicious! Great food and great coffee. The atmosphere was very cozy cabin vibes. Our waitress Traci did amazing and was very friendly. We will definitely come back in the future!

Google
From the northeast , I was excited to go to a diner in Texas. The atmosphere of a diner is so much fun. You see anything and everything. We were greeted by a very nice host who showed us to our booth. For a 10:30 am on a Monday, they were very, very busy. They have 3 different hot sauces of their own, which I loved. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a diabetic breakfast and a not worried about calories taco salad and a cup of minnistrone soup. Egg whites with chicken sausage was good. Taco salad looks huge by the taco 🌮 shell. Had a lot of beef, possibly too much, in our opinion. Overall nice experience and good diner food. Definitely would come back. Really liked the relaxed environment. *a cup of coffee $3.46 ☕️😳 Diners up north put a pot of coffee on your table for same price

Yelp
I moved to Katy about 2 1/2 years ago and this place has been on my to try list since then. On a random weekend, a friend of mine came to visit and we brought her and her daughter here and the food was so freaking good. I love their blackberry? Some kind of berry lemonade. I know I'm not saying the name right.. regardless it's freaking delicious. I love teddy bears, and this place is so campy and full of bears and has so many adorable gift shop items to buy like blankets and house shoes and sweaters and hoodies. There's also a giant dessert/ pie area. I'm not entirely sure if they make them in house but they look absolutely scrumptious. And can't wait to try them. The staff here is so kind and so engaging and so wonderful. My mom got to try this place with me as she brought me a couple days after I had surgery. I deserve to treat myself and also wanted some comfort food. The biscuits here are as big as your face and taste so good. Slather on a bunch of butter and grape jelly and you are set ! I've have yet to try any of the dinner items here but I do know they're open pretty late, which is awesome because I work late. I'm hoping to try them very soon for dinner, but will 100% be a return customer!

Yelp
The wait was 30-45 minutes but the bar is available for immediate seating - it was just two of us so the bar was great! We had the most amazing waitress Brenda - she was spunky, friendly and extremely attentive! Our food was great, awesome flavor and great portion size! It was a great family atmosphere.

Yelp
I love this place!!! It's an authentic west coast cabin al American restaurant feels like we are in big bear CA or northern CA. Service is always exceptional my family loves coming to have breakfast lunch here anytime. The food is delicious I had chicken fried steak full of flavor comes with two huge biscuits they don't disappoint. My husband had their breakfast burrito needless to say it was completely gone coffee is always fresh as the orange juice. They also serve mimosas bloody Mary's which I must say hit the spot. Family friendly atmosphere's we love coming here. The kids enjoy all the decor

Yelp
The portions are huge, so beware! However, the food itself is great - definitely a good breakfast spot!

Yelp
service was horrible, i've worked in restaurants as every position for years and have never seen worse service. first they ignored us when we walked in and had to approach them. 3 people stared at us that all worked there and didn't say anything. second our server offered us drinks to try then when we asked for said drinks she then informed us they were out of those drinks... third our server was rude and spilled coffee on the floor while she was taking our order like slowly dripping a lot of coffee on the ground. i just saw her making a lot of bad looks at all of her tables and didn't seem like she wanted to be there which is understandable being a server but made me feel uncomfortable. like i was an inconvenience to be there.. LAST when we went to pay she gave us a receipt so we could pay in cash at the front. so we went to the front to pay and no one was there so we waited.. and waited and everyone walked pasted us and stared. we were hesitant to even pay and to just leave at that point. finally someone had came up. after waiting 10 minutes. ridiculous, never going back.

Yelp
I love this diner. The staff is pleasant, the atmosphere is busy and comfortable. Great for a loner breakfast, catching up with friends, or with the family. The wait time can be lengthy during peak hours though so be mindful. Their servings are very large so come in with an appetite, I always have leftovers. I've not had one meal that I didn't absolutely love, everything is delicious!

Yelp
This place has an array of breakfast food options. So there is plenty to choose from that will satisfy your belly. The service has always been exceptional. Fresh food and hot coffee. Clean establishment and friendly environment. A great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. You won't be disappointed

Yelp
This place is awesome. I like the old vibes it gives off. Would come here again. The food is on point. Elissa and Abby gave great service.

Yelp
My Love wanted breakfast for dinner and ... here we are at BBD. I made the mistake of looking at the calories of the menu options. Just ... wow!! 500 ish calories for the biscuit with 20 grams of fat!! That being said they are huge (and delicious I'm told). Because there were only a handful of diners, service was super fast! And super friendly too!!

Yelp
Def a typical American diner type of place with for sure highly quality food than u expect and lots of seasonal, fun options. Have visited with family many times over the years but it's not a staple, but I def a good neutral appeals to all audiences sort of place.

Yelp
Every time we eat at Blackbear Diner we request Jayden's section. She always has such a beautiful smile and cheery attitude. She always remembers we order coffee every time and brings it without us having to ask. She's pretty awesome. Our food is always hot and accurate, every single time! The restaurant is always clean and orderly. Blackbear's is amazing restaurant and the food is ALWAYS great but it sure does make everything taste that much better when your waitress has such a great attitude! Jayden is my favorite waitress of all time. She's simply the best ;-)

Yelp
I've visited a Black Bear Diner a long time ago back in California. When I was visiting Katy, Tx, I was so excited to see there was a location nearby! I'm obsessed with their hot sauces. We had already eaten elsewhere but I wanted to pick up some of their hot sauce to bring back home. The shop is pretty small and very tight. There's limited clothing to choose from but there are a ton of stuffed bears. I did find a gift box of their 4 hot sauce types but it was pretty expensive at $40. $10 a bottle isn't terrible (but not exactly cheap either). The cashier was nice and quick and we were in and out fairly quickly, even with the crowd waiting to be seated for lunch. Super happy to have been back! I'm

Yelp
Pretty good Breakfast Spot... A break from your everyday Dennys, Waffle House, and iHop.

Yelp
Waitress was great! Friendly and informative. We went in on Friday night for the all you can eat fish....very fishy!! Got a breakfast plate with a tortilla and tortilla was hard crunchy like. Mgr did come around which was nice too. But there are too many restaurant choices to keep from eating sub par food.

Yelp
We decided to try this gem for Christmas lunch and I am so happy we did. They had a special holiday menu along with their normal menu. We started with some biscuits and holy cow!! They were so good and huge! I can't even find the words to describe how good they were. Fluffy and hefty. They were very tasty, fluffy and not light at all. I could have eaten these and nothing else. These are a must try. My friend had a chicken wrap and it was full. It had a hefty amount of meat on it and tons of veggies. This also came with fresh fries that were hot and very good. I would highly recommend this sandwich. I had a breakfast special. Eggs, ham steak, French toast and hash browns. Wow! Just wow! Eggs were super fresh and soft. Han steak was perfection. Hash browns were so fresh and not like a frozen hash brown. I loved them! Loved them!! The French toast was super tasty and fresh with perfect amount of syrup! What a great breakfast. Our waitress was off the chart wonderful and she made the day perfect. We absolutely had an amazing lunch and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for some great food and staff.

Yelp
Delaina made my first time here a memorable one! She had me try the huckleberry lemonade, which was refreshing and sweet. I had the pork sausage, scrambled, eggs, hash browns, biscuit, and a pancake. The portions are HUGE so I have enough leftover for a yummy dinner tonight. It was 3pm and super empty in the restaurant, but every single person made me feel welcome today. This place definitely feels like a Twin Peaks-esque diner in the mountains. Thank you SO much for one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!

Yelp
I've been at this location at least a dozen times. I specifically headed here thinking about (craving) French Toast. The 10-15 min wait was not bad on a late Saturday morning at approximately 11:30 AM. I have to say I was a little disappointed the last two times I dined at this location. This time, the French Toast was cold and the bread was dry as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for somebody to pick it up. I was not offered butter, just a small cup of syrup. I ordered a side of 4 strips of crispy bacon. The bacon was so crisp, it bordered on burnt. The coffee was good. My server was friendly, though it took forever to find her when I was ready for the check. First Watch and Toasted Yolk are consistently better.

Yelp
I have only ever been here for breakfast, but we went for Mother's Day and our waitress was absolutely amazing and so patient with the needy table next to us, was polite and upbeat, and attentive! Price point: 2 adults, 2 kids and drinks $70. But everywhere has gotten expensive. I just didn't expect to spend that much on mediocre food and to be rushed because there's always a wait in the lobby. The food, is just typical breakfast- but it is better than other chain options in the area. It does seem fresher and more homemade too!!! The country potatoes were awesome! Perfectly cooked with a good amount of kick from the bell peppers (one of my fav veggies). Scrambled eggs were a little underdone for my liking, but took them to go and reheated them in a pan the next morning. The hot sausage patty however is waaaayyy toooo much! The seasoning is overbearing and the rosemary is powerful. I like that it looks like a burger patty (it was thick and large compared to typical frozen chain food). The french toast did not taste like french toast tho. My sons was soggy and blah and mine was crispier like toast. But not a good flavor - not like homemade for sure, but i guess thats something thats hard to make and serve in a restaurant setting. Their sweet tea is perfectly sweetened - not too sweet. The chocolate milk tho ny kids did not like cuz its just Hershey's syrup in regular milk so it never stays mixed and why when you order milk at restaurants is it never cold! Its always just cool - gross! All in all its better than IHop and Dennys but not amazing. The service has always been good. They just need more space while your waiting for a table cuz we have always had to wait 20min or more and yesterday it was muggy and had sprinkled rain.

Yelp
A highlight of Texas. Traditional American dishes with large portions. The chicken fried steak with gravy was amazing and the Saturday prime rib was very tender. The cinnamon roll French toast had a texture that was a little too doughy/starchy for my preference but was still good. Everything is reasonably priced, beautifully-presented, and tasty. The service was decent and food came out fast. I also enjoyed the black bear-themed decor and western theme (bear cubs painting, country music, rainbow jukebox, "who let the bears out?" sign). Just reading the newspaper gazette-style menu with a huge selection of omelettes, sausages, eggs, burgers, ribs, etc made me happy. So glad I found this place!

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my daughter and grand-baby. We were immediately greeted by the hostess which turned out to be our waitress. She was incredibly warm and friendly, made us feel like we were at chik fil a for a second. Food came out in a timely manner, I ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffle was delicious however the chicken was dry heavily breaded and tasted like it was pre frozen. Not at all what I expected from a chicken and waffle meal . My daughter ordered cinnamon roll French toast for her and the kids strawberry French toast for her daughter . The cinnamon rolls French toast was too dry and the kids strawberry French toast was undercooked and came with two small pieces of strawberry slices. Looked nothing like the photo on the menu. My daughter sent her cinnamon roll French toast back and ordered the "Winglovers basket" . Upon receiving the wings my daughter was shocked. The wings were burnt beyond recognition and hard as a rock. For Black Bear Diner to call those wings lovers wings is completely out line. The wings were so rock hard you could probably build a brick wall with them. She did not even take one bite ....because the manager was in the back kitchen, helping the cookout which clearly he needed all the help he could get, she could not remove the wings from the ticket, but instead gave my daughter a five dollar coupon to compensate for the ultra burnt rock hard wings. I also ordered my son chocolate chip pancakes, and a side of country potatoes to go. My son stated that the chocolate chip pancakes tasted like they were cooked on the same grill that was used to fry hamburger meat on....so in essence he was eating hamburger chocolate chip pancakes. Insane!!! I have come here before for breakfast and never had any of these issues. The cook was cooking like he was ready to go home and did not care to be there. Had it not been for our awesome waitress I would give blackbear diner in Katy one star.

Yelp
We have been coming here since they opened. It's consistently good. I love the volcano stack. The food portions are huge and I can never finish it, but that's great for me as I love to take them home and snack on them later. Service has always been top notch. It tends to be a noisy restaurant with people chatting about that has never bothered me. It's a great restaurant with amazing food and good service

Fawad J.

Yelp
Fantastic place to come with kids... we visit Katy often and have now found an easy, laid back place to stop by. Delaina did a fantastic job taking care of our table. My oldest mentioned a few times how great of a job she was doing. This is an easiest 5 star!!!
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
I have always loved his place since it opened. Breakfast are big, and most of the time delicious. We had the chicken fried steak omelette, and Denver omelette. Had browns were raw and uncooked. For all four of us. That just put a damper on all the meals. Manager was kind to make new ones. But, brought out burned hash browns. ‍ So, she deducted a $ fog them. The experience of eating along with omelette was ruined. The waiter never brought our water, or checked on us. Just once to bring more coffee, but only because we asked another waiter. So, I ordered orange juice, that got spilled. Not kidding. We all have our so do days. But, we get out of our homes to have someone else do the cooking and service. Sad to say... I don't think I will be coming back in a long time.

Yelp
My Mom and I went to have brunch. There was a 15 minute wait. They said they would text me on my phone. We sat in the car for about 5 minutes and then came inside. No one was waiting. The girl asked me how many and I told her we were already on the list. So we sat down. Another couple came in and the girl sat them down at a table. What about us? We were already waiting! The guy who put us on the list came up and I said something to him and he sat us at a table. There were a lot of tables open. Our waitress helped a table that came in after us. Our food took forever to get to us. I realize they were crowded, but some people who got there after us, got their food before us. It was odd to say the least. On a brighter note, the bacon was delicious!! We both had a biscuit and gravy with bacon. Unfortunately we needed more gravy. A lot more gravy. The prices were very good. I was shocked! I thought it was going to be expensive.

Yelp
Fast friendly service. Delicious meal and nice surroundings. I will be returning for more. No complaints from the family. Even my grandbabies enjoyed and they are picky eaters.

Diego D.

Yelp
Today I went to Black Bear dinner and has such an amazing experience. My boy Ozzy was very nice. He fought off a bear with one hand and turned him into a pancake that he gave to us. Bro got folded like an omelette. The bear was really good and we felt his blood running through our veins. Really appreciate it Ozzy. #fitness #lifting Update: he just got another bear and turned it into an apple cobbler. This server got hands. Ladies if you single hit him up. Get you a server who can protect you.

Monserrat A.

Yelp
I loved the food so much! The worker that served us was so kind and helpful with anything we asked for. Her name was Daniela Lopez. The restaurant was also such a good aesthetic.

Ann H.

Yelp
The service was outstanding!!! And the food was great...loved the bear paws on my plate and the total ambiance! Thank you Jackie and Ceez for an awesome experience
google avatar

Tim F.

Yelp
The food here is really good! At first I thought it would be super basic and bland...I WAS WRONG. The only thing that met that expectation was their grits. Everything else you see in the photos were seasoned up right! Now...I took off 2 stars because of their lack of cleanliness! Omgggg, we sat down and a puff of dust shot from my seat. The thing that got me was that I'm not sure they've dusted here since pre-Covid. You can literally see the thick layer of dust/dirt on the surfaces where you eat. It's a semi big turnoff. Overall, food is great! Service is awesome! Cleanliness is poor. Will I be back because of the food, most likely. But hopefully they clean their surfaces first...

Yelp
Our last visit was memorable. But nit in a good way. We have always had a good experience before. Our mothers day breakfast was bad. My brisket has cane out cold and brisket seemed dried out. My wifes breakfast was also not hot. There were 9 people in our party. 3/4 of our food was cold. My son in law had a waffle that was dark brown. And un eatable. Two of my grandaughters asked for crispy bacon. It was limp and barely warm when it arrived. This visit will seriously affect us coming again.

James Hyde ..

Yelp
Spotty silverware and a chipped plastic tumbler started off my visit. I ordered iced tea and when it arrived I took a sip. It was horrible. It was dark like it had been sitting around too long. My sandwich contained bacon which had been so overcooked as to be inedible. The fries were good. Will not return.
google avatar

Peggy B.

Yelp
Bada bing baba bang! Home run. Great service with such a great menu. The portions are huge and wow the biscuits are 4 inches! We measured. There is nothing but southern goodness on the menu. Solid family friendly place with....bears :) Teddy bears that is. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's a home run.

Tracy B.

Yelp
So just ordered food from there. Hash brown crispy...NO burnt. Salad fresh... NO old & brown. Missing menu items...YES. It took a while to get the order so expected it to at least be correct. Wow! Horrible.
google avatar

Bob W.

Yelp
I have to say the decor is really fun with all the funny bears everywhere. The breakfast is excellent except everyone's bacon was burned. It was like eating a bacon flavored stick. They brought us more but it was almost as bad. Sadly it gets even worse. We have been 5 times and the food just seems to get worse. It comes out just slightly warm with cold centers in the mash potatoes. As mentioned by others the roast beef tastes bad, kind of sour covered in a bland and barely warm gravy. I know some of their food is frozen, but it tastes like it's been frozen too long and tastes stale. Except for breakfast we have not had a good meal with any item we have tried on their menu. The waiters and service is excellent and the decorations are cute so we have continued to return every few months hoping things have changed. But I am afraid they have not. Too bad. We are done with this place.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Food was hot and fresh as always! And can't beat the Customer service !! Coffee is fresh and area is always clean .

Yelp
I was a little hesitant to try this place due to the previous reviews I'd seen, but they honestly did not disappoint. I ordered The Grizz for takeout. It came with 3 meats, 3 eggs your way, potatoes and 2 pancakes. SOOO GOOD. The only reason I have this 4/5 stars is because the eggs were a little weird tasting in my opinion; however, the other items hit the spot !! The service was fantastic! I ordered my food over the phone and was instructed that it would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. Sure enough, once I arrived, my order was ready and the checkout was smooth and quick. As far as the establishment, it's giving diner vibes. The breakfast smells will have you drooling as soon as you enter the door. Try it out!
google avatar

Yelp
Black Bear Diner did it again!!! The Woodlands, League City, Cypress, and now Katy! I love the food here and the service has never been less than excellent! The Hobo Omelet is to die for!

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely meal with prompt service, large portions, and reasonably priced well seasoned entrees. I visited the medium sized Katy, TX restaurant location which is visible from the freeway with ample parking surrounding the restaurant. The country style restaurant welcomes you as you enter. There is a separate dessert case to entice you as you pay for your order. This is a keeper!

Timothy J.

Yelp
Amazing food, chill and cool dining area, service is great and very kind employees. Great breakfast, biscuits and gravy are the best thing they sell.

Miniya H.

Yelp
We were told a 30 minute wait but it was 45-1hr. Kitchen staff made many errors to our orders. Servers were great. Food was decent tasting, except the biscuits were dry so beware!
google avatar

Killing f.

Yelp
First, the wait time is understandable (20 minutes) but when we went to sit down it was a table for 4 people we were a party of 5 and the table barely fit. The lady was really rude and very disrespectful even when we asked for a bigger table ignoring us the first 2 times, and when she finally told us that the wait time was 45 minutes she was rude about it. We sat down and waited another 10 minutes for our server to get our drink order, 15 minutes passed before our drinks got there, another 25 for our order to be out in. A table with a bigger party 7 people sat down after us and got everything way before us. The food was okay but definitely not worth the wait and service.
google avatar

Edward D.

Yelp
I had the Black Bear Choice breakfast for my meal. The grits were perfect for me. The bacon was just right, and so were the eggs and pancakes. A really great breakfast. The service was great as well. I was given a lot of attention by my server, but not too much. This is a really good place for family and friends to just hang out and have a good meal.
google avatar

Elegant C.

Yelp
So much food for a great price! You could actually share an entree. The sweet cream pancakes are fluffy and delicious! The Grizz and Volcano are so much food and at only $15.99 and $11.99, respectively. It is a busy spot and you don't have to wait for a table. What a bang for your bucks!!
google avatar

Bobbi Jo M.

Yelp
I've heard great things from my niece on the great food. It did not disappoint, everyone was pleased with the food and service.
google avatar

Ralph Q.

Yelp
OMG! I'll start with the taste of the food. Great! Went for breakfast, had the Grizz! Think of it as a meat-lover egg and pancake breakfast! The amount served was - mucho!!! All good at a great price! GREAT Price! Wonderful sweet service by the order taker and servers! Top-Notch! Clean fun place with friendly vibes! Great for families, for all types! Will be back!!!

Carol

Yelp
It's Father's Day, so I stop to get a slice of the 5 layer chocolate cake for hubby. Out of the four lazy young greeters, cashiers, waiters or what ever it is they're supposed to be doing, they couldn't figure out who should help with a take out dessert order. I'm already fed up with being passed from person to person, then the curly haired kid with glasses tells me they don't really sell the "other" desserts to go. They're meant for dine in only. I call Bullxxxt. At that point, I gave him back that newspaper flimsy menu and left. This was my 1st and last to the Katy and quite possibly any other location. Utter incompetence at its highest.

Yelp
Bad cold food. Bad service. Brought me food I specifically said DO NOT BRING. I guess they decided they did not like what I wanted and decided to force something that looked like chunky dog vomit & 4 or 6 pieces of bread (I also told the waitress NO BREAD) Pancakes were so cold we couldnt even spread butter on them - butter should melt on hot pancakes. Manager got angry when we complained and we got up and went to Dennys. Total waste of time. Warning if you do go there - never try the "corned beef hash". Its dust-dry shredded barely seasoned old beef (i think) and dry diced potato. All cold. Nasty stuff. I ordered it so I tried it and had to drink water so I could chew & swallow it.
