Beef pot roast didn't taste like meat (strange taste and texture), potatoes weren't fully cooked. Apple deep dish pie zero taste. I picked up order to go cause I was craving pot roast. If I lived closer I would have returned it on principal. I threw the meat out. Got mashed potatoes as a side they were fine, turkey gravy horrible zero taste. Corn bread horrible, clam chowder ok. Will never ever go back cause it was so bad.

Nice dinner style food. Large servings and friendly service. I think perhaps a little overpriced, but in today's market it hard to tell. They ha plenty of seating on a Friday night late dinner.

Oh yum! So glad we stopped here for lunch and the staff were so friendly. The portions were insane but very affordable and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again

Mikey makes the best Reuben’s! And Cathy serves them with kindness and grace. Their meatloaf is amazing as well, made with ground beef AND sausage. Black Bear Diner - 30 Years! 1995 - 2025. Great food, great portions. You will enjoy!

It is my boyfriend and my favorite place for breakfast and dinner. Great all you can eat fish & chips on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We take friends there or refer it to everyone. They have several locations. We are seniors. Our grown children and grandkids live too far away to travel to be with us for the holidays. We enjoyed this last Thanksgiving and Christmas there for dinner. It was really good. I am glad we live close to the one on Tropicana and Jones.

Server: Flower Her name is Flower, and she was truly amazing! Always smiling, kind to our kids, and checked on us often while we ate. Her service was great, and she brought such warm, positive energy the whole time. Thank you, Flower, for making our meal even better!

If I could give more than 5 stars for service, I would! I have severe food allergies and the manager and server made very sure that my food was safe for me, even offering to have the kitchen staff use a new pan to cook my hash browns to guarantee it was safe from cross-contamination. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful with my allergy questions, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Great overall experience!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service at the Black Bear! It delivered both the great tasting food and locals pricing that we saw in reviews and on TV.
