My husband and I went to try this place for breakfast, and we were pleased with our overall experience. We have ordered: 2 Espresso Plain Omelette with Toast & Butter Ham and Cheese Omelette with Toast & Butter Total:$43.45 with tips When we asked if they had the hot menu, the lady said that they usually start at 9 a.m., but she could prepare it for us. We ordered about 10 minutes before 9 a.m. We were very happy that we could order the omelet. The waiting time was decent. We really enjoyed the coffee flavor and the food as well, though it can be too pricey.

I really like this place! My avo toast was really good and fresh. My husband had ham&cheese bagel and he liked it. Americano here is soooo good! I would recommend this place for breakfast for sure

The coffee is good, the service is horrible. I have been here a few times and although overpriced, I really enjoy the coffee and ambiance, but this last time was my final time supporting this establishment. There is a guy that works there who is always so rude, not welcoming, and straight up gives off bad vibes. He does not welcome you when you walk in, he does not respond when you tell him thank you, and he acts like it’s an inconvenience making the very product that they sell, coffee. He also yelled at us as soon as we walked up about not being able to order food because they stopped serving food, but I wasn't even interested in food, just the same latte I always get (or used to get). It is a shame that bad service is going to deter my business but there are way too many good coffee shops in the area to support someone who is not happy to be there.

10$ for a matcha latte with oat milk is ridiculous. Especially if it looks like this! I complained to the dude but he didn’t seem to care. Just stated that he used the same qty that he usually uses to make it and just walked away. Next time a customer complains, the only words out of your mouth should be: “I’m sorry. May I replace it for you or offer a refund?”. I apologize if your management hasn’t had sufficient training to train you. Ambiance kinda sux. Small and very noisy from the busy street and they keep the doors open. I’m sure the coffee is great. But I definitely won’t be back to try.

At Black Canvas Coffee, the experience is simply exceptional. The croissants they offer are nothing short of amazing – buttery, flaky, and simply irresistible. Paired with their smooth, expertly brewed coffee, it's a match made in heaven. Each sip and bite is a moment of pure indulgence, leaving you craving more. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast on the go or a leisurely coffee break, Black Canvas Coffee has you covered. With their delicious croissants and smooth coffee, they've truly mastered the art of a perfect morning.

I spent both mornings of my weekend visit here. First time we arrived after 8. The kitchen wasn’t open until 9, but coffee and pastries were ready to serve. Next day we arrived after 9 and enjoyed the toasts. Everything we had was tasty, and the barista is really kind.

Hats off to the chef! We came here on both 1st & 2nd Jan for breakfast. Both days we each ordered one main dish and a drink and a desert. We end up enjoying every single dish and drink we ordered :)! The avocado toasts (ordered poached egg one first day & rainbow avo on second) are especially flavorful - its ingredients were brilliantly combined into a unique savory taste. My favorite drink is London Fog which is a milk tea, and my partnered ordered the signature cold brew which was fresh and a bit fruity. Service was not good, though, but with the food being this good, we are not bothered :)

Google
Cafe close to the main Hollywood boulevard. Not super comfortable to sit. The food was good. I love the beautiful green wall. I was disappointed to have my yogurt/muesli in a plastic cup, it's not appetising for a cafe. Maybe the chef already left? Cafe and avocado toast was good.

Yelp
This was my first time at Black Canvas Coffee, and I had a good experience. This cafe offers good wifi, a bathroom for customers with a code, free street parking on Sundays, and both indoor/outdoor seating. It also has a lovely ambiance, with soft music, lots of natural light, and a variety of plants throughout the cafe. I came on a Sunday around 12PM to get some work done, and there was plentiful seating, however, it was also a holiday. I ordered their signature matcha latte, and the barista, Natalie, was very kind and knowledgeable about their menu. Their latte uses ceremonial-grade matcha and charges an extra $1.50 for plant-based milk substitutions. Natalie informed me that the standard drink does not come sweetened, so I asked to sweeten it for no additional charge. The drink finished fairly quickly and came in a glass. I appreciate the effort towards waste reduction. The drink itself was a bit watery, and I did feel that the sweetener was a little strong, but the matcha flavor was still present. Overall, it is not an exceptionally special matcha latte, however, it did fulfill my matcha craving. I also ordered their matchagato, which is two scoops of vanilla ice cream with matcha on top. The ice cream was of great quality, however, I was not the biggest fan of the matcha shot on its own. Together, it was quite good, however, I was tasting more of the ice cream than the matcha, which is maybe why I enjoyed it more. However, one part of the ice cream did have some freezer burn. Overall, it seems like a great study spot, however, I did not see any outlets, so make sure to have your devices sufficiently charged before arriving. The drink I tried was average, but perhaps their talents are more present in their coffees. I would recommend this cafe for coffee chats or somewhat brief study sessions. It also offered various pastries and a food menu, however, I did not try any of these items.

Yelp
Very very cute coffee shop! I wasn't expecting all the plants inside. It's aesthetically pleasing and there's this calm vibe inside even during the weekends! I went for their Sour Cherry Oat Cold Brew because it sounded good, refreshing and interesting. I liked it but probably wouldn't get it again. My sister got the Blueberry Matcha and the matcha itself tasted okay but no hint of the blueberry. The turn off and reason for 3 stars was because of the sanitation. There was a fly inside where they have the pastries and we were looking forward to having a pastry but after seeing that we were like no thanks. We got the Ham and Cheese Melt with an everything bagel and it was a good snack but it also felt unappetizing after seeing the fly plus other flies inside mostly due to the plants I suppose. We parked inside the complex where it said retail parking which is a few spots. Other than that there's street parking.

Yelp
I stopped in here for an afternoon coffee after visiting a nearby art gallery. Nice decor, love the cool plant wall! Very good coffee.

Yelp
I live fairly close to this place, so it's a convenient location to grab coffee from time to time which is good. However paying ~$10 for a cup of coffee is insane. There's Sightglass, Intelligentsia, Stereoscope, Tiago which make great coffee for $6-7 per cup. Which is a big difference especially if you buy coffee for 2. Most of the time, all the other places stay busy. Canvas is usually empty and to me it makes sense. You will have good coffee here, but you can find better places with cheaper coffee and same quality within the area.

Yelp
This is a really lovely place and great for a meeting. I am always on the lookout for a coffee spot with adequate seating for an actual private conversation and this is IT. Parking was super easy. Their pastry case was very limited but looked lovely. I am not an artful eater during meetings so I passed but bought a packaged cookie which was delicious. Cookie and coffee was over $10. That's crazy but normal here I guess. They have a full food menu but I wish they made it more obvious - this place is minimalism to the hilt. Still, a gorgeous living wall of plants and lots of places on their sunny patio to have a conversation. If you need a meeting place in Weho/Hollywood area, this is a great choice.

Yelp
The Rosewater latte on the menu immediately caught my attention but I was sadly disappointed. It just tasted like a watered down coffee with rose perfume. Staff were nice & cafe itself has a cozy vibe but I wouldn't return.

Yelp
Our new fave place to get some work done. We live on Highland so it is a quick walk for us but they do have a parking garage for customers. There's always open places to sit both inside and outside with a restroom and free WiFi. What more do you need! My go-to is the blueberry matcha latte which is delish and my husband always gets a vanilla latte. We've also tried their caprese panini which is bomb!

Yelp
I drove past this shop about a week ago and couldn't wait to try it. This is my first coffee shop visit of 2025 and It did not disappoint! Ordered a Latte and I'll tell you right off the rip the art was beautiful and the coffee tasted great! The barista was super friendly and the shop is overall a good time. It's clean it feels open with the high ceiling and super fresh with the indoor plants! I will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
It was my first time here. I got an acai bowl, which was alright. More peanut butter forward than acai bowls usually are. With tip, it was over $20 which seemed pretty steep compared to acai bowls I've gotten at other places. There were no other customers, but the employee at the front never made eye contact and seemed annoyed to have a customer. Overall, the acai bowl was OK but between the price and chilly reception, I doubt I'll make this a regular spot.

Yelp
The hardest thing about paying these $8-9 drinks in LA is how terrible you feel paying that much if the drink doesn't taste good.. ...and their drinks didn't make the cut for me. I forgot which drink my fiancé got (it was the first drink on the menu) but I got their iced honey rose matcha latte. My immediate thought was how even that name had a lot going on.. but I like honey, and Rosewater, and matcha.. soo if you combined it all, it might be good, right? WRONG! I saw the barista pour a decent amount of matcha in it and even though the menu said ceremonial grade matcha, I did not taste the matcha AT ALL. Maybe the quality of the matcha isn't good? It was more like milk with rosewater and a tiny drop of honey. My fiancé's drink was just OK too. He also said he tasted more milk than anything. He hates wasting food & he's the one that paid for it but even he couldn't finish his drink. We ended up trashing our half full drinks (ice melted in the pic but the color stayed the same.. look at how light my matcha is) The breakfast items were ridiculously priced too I almost can't believe ppl pay that much ($19 for a ham & cheese croissant) for breakfast. I get it.. they're on highland so rent must be expensive but.. I would rather go to Javista a few blocks away at that point. They do have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating but sadly we will not be returning :\

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to this coffee shop! There's options to sit inside or outside. Food here is phenomenal. I got the salmon on the bagel with poached egg and avocado and it was made to perfection. I've had their lattes here prior and their pastries and I've always enjoyed them! Great place to solo hang out, meet with some friends, or do some light work (no outlets so make sure to come charged)

Yelp
One of the staff members probably shouldn't be in a customer-based field, but I'm not holding it against this place this time. I love this place! Parking in the garage is free and right there. You can enter the cafe from the parking lot or from the street. The place is cool. Small and charming with pretty blue tile tables. I loved being there and hanging out enjoying my mocha and coffee cake donut which were both very good. The gal who helped me was great. But there's a guy who was pretty sarcastic with customers, me included. When asked questions, it was like he hated having to answer them, so he'd reply with total "I don't care" sarcasm. I deducted a star for this because management should know. If this guy was the owner, they don't deserve 4 stars, but whatever. Had a nice time, enjoyed my coffee and pastry, and I'd come back.

Yelp
Skip the Matcha Rose Latte and get their Blueberry Maple Latte. It's a divine latte creation. If you're hungry, you could also share breakfast albeit a little pricy. The first time we came, we wanted a mini breakfast to hold us down until lunch and ordered a prosciutto and goat cheese toast and an avocado toast. Expecting nyc portions, we were happily surprised by how hefty the toast portions were and understood the price tag that came with them. Not only did they give generous portions, the toasts were tasty. I think the only thing that threw us off was that the poached egg was given in a separate bowl and not on top of the avocado toast. The poached egg was also a little overcooked so we wish we did without it. The best part of breakfast, as mentioned above, is the blueberry maple latte. Whether it's hot or iced, it still tastes amazing and you can definitely taste the blueberry. The rose matcha latte tasted like watered down matcha with too much rose syrup. I've had some great rose matcha lattes and this one did not impress. Aside from food and drink, the ambiance is chill and relaxed. The workers are friendly and there are multiple tables to sit both inside and outside the cafe. It's definitely a place where you can sit down and get some work done. I wish I could steal the blueberry maple latte recipe because it was really that good and probably the main reason I want to come back. Excuse me while I try to find a good blueberry maple latte in the jungle of specialty lattes offered in nyc. If my search fails, I'll need to find my way back just for the latte.

Yelp
Quiet , Clean , I would come back ! It's cute inside and the food and drink menu look appealing ! I've never been before grabbed a menu and order a ten dollar matcha !! Not sure if parking is for the establishment or apartment complex but I def found street parking! I'm new to matcha and I think the blueberry purée is a great touch . I'm interested in a latte next time . The pastries aren't many but the ones I saw looked appetizing!

Yelp
I've been to Black Canvas in Beverly Hills so I looked forward to this location. I was disappointed by the terrible service. When I arrived the barista kept didn't look me in the face. I stated exactly what I wanted, hot, in house, type of milk, etc , but they still asked me all the questions. Last but not least I decided to sit outside. There was no one else in the coffee shop and my drink sat at the bar. I was about 10 steps away and this barista wasn't doing anything else. Paying $10 for this type of shitty service really makes it a terrible experience. The matcha was also especially strong, so I wouldn't pay $10 here agian. Had the barista at least made an effort it could have been a better experience.

Yelp
Cute spot! The indoor seating is nice and there's a lot but they also have some outdoor seating which is great on a breezy summer day. My friends and i had the Turkey avocado Sandwhich and they had some coffee. The prices are decent and super close to the touristy Hollywood/highland area if you're looking to explore there. Now the reason I took off two stars as because of the TERRIBLE service! I came on Friday (06/28) around 2:30pm. We went to the counter where the menus are at and we looked for a bit and talked. There was no line except for one person who I think was waiting on their order. The guy who helped us had such a huge attitude. When we were ready to order he was just standing there looking at his book or notebook he had on the counter. We waited in silence for about 30 seconds and my friend said "okay are you guys ready?" To kind of signal him but he did nothing. So finally after about ten more seconds I told him that we're ready to order. He slowly cocked his head up with again so much attitude and gave us this face of annoyance. It was clear he either didn't want to be there or was annoyed with us for whatever reason, I have no idea. He also gave us attitude when we didn't pick up the number he gave us for our table right away even though he didn't tell us about it. It was just sitting on the counter. After that it was fine because he wasn't serving us or anything. It just seemed like we somehow ruined his day and interrupted HIM from his reading and writing even though this is HIS PLACE OF WORK! I've worked in customer service all my life so I understand we have bad days but if you choose to work in this field then you need to not take your attitude out on someone else. I've done it many a times where I leave my woes behind and assist customers as best as I can so I know it can be done. He was not ready to work today and it would've been better if he called off. Now I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but even reading and writing in his notebook whilst at work is very rude. All that to say I definitely won't be coming back. But a cute place overall. Decent location and prices so stop by if this seems like the place for you.

Designer H.

Yelp
The most mid coffee for $2 more than all coffee shops in LA. For the price of a latte here you can get a latte and a brownie cookie at Neighborhood or Maru. The breakfast sandwiches are also $2 more than other coffee shops that serve from the same supplier. Not coming back.

Alexander T.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the service has substantially degraded over the past few years. In fact... it was quite shocking to see such a big difference, comparing to the previous level of service. Selection of items has diminished to a bare minimum. No more Coffee Cakes (seriously?!.. Mind you, this is a *Coffee shop*), no more sandwiches that were served previously... the remaining available choices aren't to everyone's liking, sorry to say. Over-sweetened Mocha drinks. But what made it even worse -- is this place no longer accepts cash as they used to. Ridiculous, dictatorial, and simply wrong! Well, I am not returning here -- until you guys at least (!) start accepting cash again, AND provide change in return, like all shops do. (Don't get me wrong: I deeply sympathize you that your shop had to endure a recent string of burglaries... But - there *are* ways to protect cash, just like other places do.). Refusing to accept cash is most certainly not a way to attract your customers. In all honesty, the presentation of drinks (Mocha, etc.) is still good; service was more-less decent. That's why I'm giving 2 stars (as opposed just 1). But hopefully, the above-mentioned aspects will be taken into consideration, to improve service. Thank you. All the best!

Yelp
I went for a latte but decided I wanted a light breakfast. Couldn't choose between the yogurt or açaí bowl. The barista said to get the açaí bowl & great choice!!! It was fresh & enough I think for 2 people to share but it was sooo good I ate the entire bowl price isn't to bad for the size plus the coffee shop is a nice vibe with plants & ambiance! Wi-Fi if you want to sit & work. I think I found a getaway for the weekend

Yelp
Lots of floral and sweet options! The food looked good though I didn't tried it. Iced rose water matcha was delicious--- heavy on the rose!

Yelp
Randomly stopped in after an appointment across the street and was very pleasantly surprised. Got some iced matcha lattes with delicious almond milk and got a ham and cheese croissant for myself and one to bring home to my housekeeper. Not sure who makes their pastries but it was delicious, the ham and cheese was premium quality. Spacious, wifi, seating, natural light... I'll definitely come back if I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
*Coffee: Blueberry Maple Latte - very weak espresso flavor. Didn't taste much of blueberry or maple either. It was just very blunt in general. *Food: Smoothie Bowl - Creative and nutritious. Thick consistency with generous portion of topping including fresh fruits. All pics of their food items look so good! *Wifi: reliable *Bathroom: incredibly clean *Parking: available in structure for free *Customer Service: very low energy. Not engaging. I wanted to like this place but for their coffee & customer service level I am not sure if I come back...

Yelp
Nothing but great things to say about Black Canvas Coffee. During one of our days on our LA road trip, I wanted to stop by for breakfast before continuing our trek towards UCLA's campus. The space, for one, is super inviting - tons of greenery, seating, and a clean-lit pastry case that boasted a variety of gluten and gluten-free pastries. The coffee, for two, tasted delicious. I HATE acidic coffee, but the decaf Americano I ordered here was well-balanced, light, and sweet. The customer service, for three, is unmatched. To explain... My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich (which he absolutely loved). My brother and I ordered omelettes without cheese. However, when our orders first arrived to our table, we had to request the server to take the plates back, because they were made incorrectly. This meant waiting an extra half-hour for our omelettes to be redone. Our barista who took our orders inside noticed... and bless his heart and soul. He not only gave us a free GF donut to snack on while we were waiting, but he also insisted on reheating my friend's breakfast sandwich to keep it hot. The food itself was absolutely delicious. But even if it weren't, I would have still given Black Canvas Coffee 6 stars for its service alone.

Yelp
good coffee good vibes! parking was a little rough because of the location but the baristas were friendly and they were quick to serve me my drink. Next time I'll try their pastries!

Yelp
Best avocado toast we have had. We got the rose iced latte very good and I got the rainbow avo toast with a Chipotle zesty sauce wow! Loved it. We also got the apple walnut avo toast so good! Coming from the bay area being coffee lovers i was so excited to say after the first bite . BEST EVER. SO WORTH IT.

Yelp
Bright coffee shop with alternative milk options and breakfast/brunch. Came here on a Sunday around 11am and there were indoor and outdoor seats available. Credit card only (no cash accepted). You pay at the counter and then you'll receive a number. You can do work here too, but most of the people seemed to be there to socialize. They had some ready made pastries but I would suggest asking them to heat up the display ones (it'll take your croissant to the next level). It's an additional $1.25 if you want oat milk in your latte. I got a matcha latte and it did its job. Note that the smoothie bowl does come with a nut butter blended in it. It's actually pretty filling, so you could ask for a cold drink cup to take the rest of it to-go. Overall the vibes are chill and it's a cute cafe/coffee shop.

Yelp
Really cute spot, parking is behind the shop. There's designated parking that says retail parking. The service was great I ordered the rainbow avocado toast and blueberry latte with an extra shot total $26.01. Both we're really good but still kinda pricey. This place is def not in my budget lol. But if I am in the area again I'll prob just stop in just for the coffee

Yelp
Excellent and beautiful place. My friends and I were staying at the Roosevelt Hotel and Google a breakfast place near by. We walked a few blocks down towards BCC. We were excited for the place, cleanest and Beaty. All that before trying their breakfast dishes .. cleaned and delicious like the place. We were very happy with the staff, service and food. As I googled it I noticed other locations. I'll be always looking for it anywhere. Highly recommend it!!

Yelp
By new management. They I can tell how's this place change down to the hill Food awful. Avocados toast. Really dark unripe avocados My order takes. Almost 35 min For a turkey sandwich And the breakfast sandwiche With no bacon And the forget my sundry tomatoes Really bad costumer service. Super sad for this. Spot.
google avatar

Mihaela M.

Yelp
Really good coffee and a nice, delicious, healthy menu they have tables outside in the sun and service is great. I add to this review after I went there this month, November 2022, and they told me with a tone that I can't change the menu. I only asked to have my avocado toast on bagel not on bread. The strict almost rude answer surprised me. I was puzzled... so I decided to just get a coffee. Great cappuccino! The barista already reached to make what I asked for but the "cashier" lady pretended not to understand what I want. Hm... I am sorry I disturbed her energy but the barista accepted my request with no problem and she made me a beautiful breve cappuccino. I take one star off... I did not ask for the moon but a bagel. ‍

Danni L.

Yelp
The presentation is always perfect when I visit. There's also a nice selection of coffee that goes beyond your standard latte or espresso. The Iced Rose Water Honey Latte is my favorite. Pair that with a Wild Berry Waffle and your day is started.

Yelp
Great find while in Hollywood. We always stop by on Sundays after our Farmers Market trip. They have delicious food and coffee drinks. The place is super cute with high ceilings and relaxing colors all around. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great atmosphere. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. The fresh baked pastries on display are really good. I love the almond croissants. So flaky and delicious. I order it every time. The blueberry maple latte is so delicious and unique. I don't think I've ever seen it anyplace else before. Everything they serve here is fresh, appetizing and has beautiful presentation. The 4 stars is for the customer service. I understand that many places are short staffed but that doesn't mean you can ignore or not acknowledge a customers presence. To build and maintain strong customer relationships, a simple greeting , a smile or a warm conversation is a must. You want your customers to come back and refer friends to your business. Overall a great place to check out when in the area.

Kevin P.

Yelp
The exorbitant prices are justified under the pretense of providing an "experience." But let me tell you, no amount of mid-tier furniture or trendy decor can make up for a mediocre sandwich that, at its core, costs maybe $1.50 to produce. Charging outrageous prices for such basic offerings is nothing short of exploitative. This place epitomizes the growing divide between socioeconomic classes--using superficial aesthetics to upcharge customers while offering subpar value. The prices listed on Yelp are wildly misleading--nearly half of what they actually charge in-store. This deceptive pricing practice is unacceptable and leaves customers feeling tricked.

Brianna R.

Yelp
Second time coming here. This time with the goal of getting some work done. Coffee is solid, but overpriced. I paid ~$7 for an iced oat milk latte. Indoor seating is back! Currently, I believe it's at about 25% capacity. The patio is beautiful but when you want to work, you need shade and AC. I don't think they have any outlets inside, so come with fully charged devices. There's a clean bathroom available and FREE parking right next door (Highland's retail parking). Overall, great coffee shop with a cute vibe.

Sharon S.

Yelp
Stopped here for coffee and breakfast with my boyfriend on our way back home (visiting from Phoenix) and I highly recommend it. I got hot coffee and the acai bowl and it's the best I've ever had. My boyfriend got the cold brew and a vegan curry pastry he said was really good.

Yelp
Matcha latte and avocado toast were amazing. Very cute and spacious coffee shop. Service was great! A+

Yelp
Grabbed an almond latte not expecting anything new/surprising but... THE COFFEE WAS SO RICH AND TASTY. I don't know if it was the choice in almond milk or the coffee itself, but I was super satisfied!! Price- The only major con to this place is how expensive it is! For just a regular iced latte, it's 5.5, and alternative mills are 1.25... Looks- The coffee shop has so many seating options indoor and out! The furniture and artwork is so nice. It's a huge coffee shop! I'm definitely looking forward to studying/working here in the future!

Yelp
What cute decorations inside and a great place to work too. Their maple coffee and blueberry matcha were lovely and are my normal go-to drinks there. The bagels were also good. Still have yet to try their avocado toasts but I bet they are yummy too. Wait time isn't too bad. A little on the pricier side for me. But I pop in every time I'm in the area.

Yelp
This is the best coffee in Hollywood. Specialty beans. The rich espresso, soft cappuccino , the milk isn't overheated. I'm worked a barista 3 years and I say with an open heart - amazing. One big minus, your chairs are so hot in the sun that it's impossible to sit, I love to drink coffee outside.

Katie R.

Yelp
Olive was lovely! They were friendly and inviting. Thank you for the beautiful latte and chill ambiance.

Yelp
This place is a bummer. Same bad experience 3 visits in a row- each time they have no drip coffee, and each diff employee was oddly aloof to almost a place of being rude. bad vibes here

Yelp
Parking: There's a parking garage right behind the cafe and my friend and I were able to park for several hours to study. Food/Drinks: Loved their matcha tea and brunch foods. Next time I visit, I would love to try their pastries. - Matcha Tea - Chai Latte - Smoked Salmon Bagel - Prosciutto Toast Ambiance: Since the cafe has large windows, the place was super well lit. There's one large table in the middle of the seating area and a few bar seats with outlets. I was able to get a lot of work done here. The volume of the music and people was low enough to focus for several hours! The workers were also really kind and accommodating.

Yelp
They mark their food prices as if you'll get what you pay for. Not the case. I've had better sandwiches at yum yum donuts. I brought my dad who was visiting and we both forced ourselves to finish since we paid nearly $50 for 2 coffees & 2 toasts which would be fine if they tasted good. I wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Tried the toast & sour cherry oat cold brew at Black Canvas Coffee. Wow! So delicious. That sour cherry oat cold brew was super unique and yummy. Pairing sour cherry with cold brew was such a great move. You can tell that Black Canvas takes their coffee seriously (as well as their food). I ordered their green apple feta toast. It was super tasty and unique. Pairing green apples and feta together on toast is not something I normally do but I was definitely open to trying (and enjoying). My sister tried their wild berry waffle and really enjoyed the natural sweetness from all the berries as well as the yummy cream sauce on top (and speckled chocolate). All in all, a hearty, delicious, satisfying breakfast and coffee combo. Plus, the interior is very cool and modern. Love it!

Yelp
I got the iced latte, which was between $7 and $8 after tax, so it's on the pricier side for coffee. But there was free parking, which I feel like is a rarity in Hollywood. The cafe inside is pretty cute as well, and there's also plenty of outdoor seating.

Yelp
I really like it here. A bit pricey but Coffee is good. I love the spinach pastry, I don't remember its name, like the triangle croissant (see photo) :)) The ambience is calm and cool. I recommend employees smile a little bit.

Yelp
5/5 for the food. 5/5 for the service. 2/5 for the location. Stumbled upon this place while we were visiting Hollywood and wanted to grab some coffee & breakfast. Food: I ordered the Rainbow Avocado Toast and a Chai Latte. Such a great combo to start my morning! The Avocado Toast was so fresh and packed with flavor. For the price point, the portion was good. I enjoyed their coffee flavors, they were refreshing and definitely a different experience compared to Peets & Starbucks. Service: I felt really bad. Our group was about 6 girls and there was only 2 employees working and we ordered food. When one of the employees walked in, I overheard her boss saying, "You have about 5 minutes to clock in. We need you ASAP." and I felt REALLY bad because they were backed up on food orders. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, but it was completely understandable. They did the best they could. Location: We could not find parking in this area at all. My friends had to drop us off and circle around. They ended up leaving to grab gas & double parked a block down. The overall aesthetic of the coffee shop is beautiful though! I really loved the accent wall & the bathroom design. Their decor was also contemporary modern, which was beautiful. Overall, I would come here again, but only if I live in close vicinity.
