The New York Historical Society Is Getting a New Restaurant This Fall | Eater NY

"I'm aware that Black Cat Wines, a wine pop-up born out of the pandemic, is raising money to take over Brooklyn Barrel on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope; owners Katie Zanin and Rocky Owen are fundraising to spruce up the space and fill the cellar, and the shop's mission is to amplify the voices of women, people of color, and queers who make, sell, and drink wine and spirits." - Luke Fortney

Best wine shop ever! Rocky and Katie are always so kind and helpful. They have the best selection of wine and liquor. They have excellent taste and give great recommendations. You absolutely must stop by their tastings to try something new! And they have great dog treats!

This is the cutest, warmest, most inviting liquor store I’ve been to in Brooklyn. It has a really unique, eclectic, medium to high end, international and local selection of drinks. It’s a bonus that’s its black & Queer owned - gorgeous couple! But that’s neither here nor there - 10/10, fervently recommend!

Google
Boutique, curious, and very well stocked with nice delicacies from "other" wine destinations. A few steps from Marriott and Hilton. I was nicely helped to get some nice South Africa Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Also, I was offered chilled whites at no extra cost! A nice touch: I returned for a second time and was greeted with a mezcal tasting! Thank you for taking care of us...

Yelp
I randomly popped in to Black Cat for a pregame option before my friends and I headed out for the night. The selection wasn't huge but it had what I needed. I grabbed a 4-pack of a pre-batched cocktail. I should've taken a picture because I can't remember what exactly it was but it was fruity and tart and an acquired taste for sure. We each took a can with us on the train to see a show on Broadway. It was a nice pick me up. It was on the pricey side for 4 cans but it was worth it. The cashier was kind and helpful.

Yelp
Such a cute wine shop on 4th Ave! I'm sad I had to be in and out but there is cat + wine merch!!! As well as wine with a cat on the label haha. I'm not a wine expert by any means - I grabbed a chilled white wine with a little black cat on the label. The employees were very sweet and offered the one I originally selected, chilled. That's when I saw the Sauvignon blanc called Matouse excited to try it!
