Loved this cozy little wine shop! They were very friendly and recommended a good sparkling wine for our special dinner.

This shop is not only gorgeous but supplies the best natural wine and spirits in NYC! Rocky and Katie are helpful, kind and extremely knowledgeable. I also love this shop's mission. Inclusivity, community and helping to make wine approachable is an absolute win for me! Can't wait to purchase my next bottle of delicious wine!

AMAZING! So I know next to nothing about wine, in fact other than cooking with wine I never have it. But I'm on a mission to find something. So I posted on a wine forum on Reddit asking for suggestions. The owner of Black cats responded to my post. And she has been amazing. She has helped me with my search for a wine I like. While I still have not found the one I love I have found some I can stand I have greatly enjoyed learning about wine, and even better she has been helping me with Mezcal and learning all about that as well. The depth of knowledge she has is astounding to me and I appreciate all the suggestions that she has given me. Highly recommend going in and just having a chat and they will help you find the right wine. Never had a bad experience going there, and always have a good laugh.

I randomly popped in to Black Cat for a pregame option before my friends and I headed out for the night. The selection wasn't huge but it had what I needed. I grabbed a 4-pack of a pre-batched cocktail. I should've taken a picture because I can't remember what exactly it was but it was fruity and tart and an acquired taste for sure. We each took a can with us on the train to see a show on Broadway. It was a nice pick me up. It was on the pricey side for 4 cans but it was worth it. The cashier was kind and helpful.

Such a cute wine shop on 4th Ave! I'm sad I had to be in and out but there is cat + wine merch!!! As well as wine with a cat on the label haha. I'm not a wine expert by any means - I grabbed a chilled white wine with a little black cat on the label. The employees were very sweet and offered the one I originally selected, chilled. That's when I saw the Sauvignon blanc called Matouse excited to try it!
