Best Cities For Nightlife 2025: Medellín Claims The Crown For South America

Tucked away on Carrera 35 in Medellín’s Provenza area, this legendary basement club is described as one of several world-famous bars and clubs you can find on a single street in the city. It’s specifically highlighted as a nightlife landmark and gains extra cultural cachet from being the very same Perro Negro name-checked in the Bad Bunny and Feid song, making it feel both iconic and deeply embedded in Medellín’s reggaeton scene. - Liv Kelly

Had a great time with friends. It’s a little tight because it’s a small place however, the music and lights were great. Went here for friends birthday and we all enjoyed.

Best club in Medallo. Usually free entry. But they do expect you to buy drinks. I don’t like that there is no dance floor just tables everywhere. It’s kind of awkward if you go alone when travelling. Hard to mingle and meet new ppl. But the DJs and music is the best. Eventually the vibe kicks in

A group of friends and I walked into this place during the week and did not know what to expect. We got IDed and checked for weapons (good). Then were allowed to enter - no cover. We got a small table and were told to keep it need to spend a minimum of $200,000 COP. We were one of the first ones in the club as it was early and picked up and got busy. Staff was super attentive and nice. We had a menu with all the prices and what was available. Whenever I ordered something off the menu the price was given and reasonable. We stayed till around midnight and it was a great time. My wife said these were the cleanest and best restrooms of all of Colombia haha. Definitely recommend it! DJ was great!

Definitely a tourist trap. This place is hyped up as one of the best reggaeton clubs in the area but after spending a few hours here, I can confidently say there are much better options nearby with more space, better service, and way more reasonable prices. We went in just to see what the hype was about big mistake. At the first entry bar, we were charged 179,000 COP for two shots of Patron. That’s on top of 50,000 entry per person. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m Colombian my friend is American I knew right away they were taking advantage because they assumed we were tourists. I even caught the bartenders laughing and whispering to each other after charging us. Really disappointing and unprofessional. The venue itself is small, low-ceilinged, and gets crowded quickly. The lighting was cool, I’ll give them that. Music-wise it’s mostly Bad Bunny on repeat with a little variety here and there, but I’ve experienced way better reggaeton mixes at other clubs in the area. If you do decide to go just to check it out, my advice: • ASK for drink prices before ordering — or you’ll get robbed like we did. • Don’t waste your time waiting in line it’s absolutely not worth it. • There are way better reggaeton clubs in the area with more space, better vibes, and respectful service. Overall, a disappointing experience feels like they prioritize overcharging tourists over creating a real party atmosphere.

This place openly promotes discrimination and violence against the LGBTQ+ community. A guest was physically and verbally assaulted just for being gay, while the security staff witnessed everything and did absolutely nothing. It’s unacceptable that a place that prides itself on being “classy” allows this kind of hate to happen — not to mention it’s overpriced and charges hidden fees.

It was the best experience!! The staff was super friendly and professional, from the entrance and inside the club. The club itself has a great vibe. The prices very normal. I visited on Thursday so I didn't have to pay for the entrance. I would love to go back again and enjoy the night!

Unfortunately we had a terrible night here today. When we happily came into the venue we made our way to the main bar. At the bar, I tried to order a double shot of tequila. Originally I wanted a double shot of tequila with water with the Cazadores which was on the menu for 45k per shot. The bartender said sold out. He said our next comparable drink is Jose Cuervo (45-50k) I said ok. He then said it was sold out. He then offered Los Altos Tequila for comparable. I kid you not he wrang it up for $180k pesos.....not $90k and it was not on the menu for that price. I refused to accept the drink as It  is $241k retail for the whole bottle. The bartender yelled at me that it was on the menu. Spoiler alert, it wasnt on the menu. My partner (who was paying) was confused at the different price as was I, so I turned the bottle to show him which tequila we got because the brand is very cheap. The bartender grabbed my wrist and called security saying I tried to steal it. We were underground behind 3 levels of security to clarify. You can tell the bartender usually escalates things quickly because the security was unphased and understood not to escalate or touch us any further. From an American...DONT GO HERE. It's Dangerous and I hate that me and my partner experienced such aggressive behavior. They can pull security cameras to confirm my full story. We paid for the drink and left. To top it off the reggaeton was just ok. I loved Colombia but this was the worst part of my trip. Maybe this was racism, maybe fraud, but I was sober for the whole ordeal. :/

Was a little quiet when arrived. Have good drinks selection and good music. Did not order any food.
