18 Best Myrtle Beach Restaurants to Try | Eater Carolinas

"Black Drum Brewing sources beers from across the Carolinas, from Wicked Weed in Asheville to Two Blokes in Charleston. The selection is impressive, and the food takes the same thoughtful approach to barbecue and seaside fare. Chef Joseph Lilly puts out an impressive spread of dry rubbed ribs, tender pulled pork, juicy brisket, Southern sides, char-grilled oysters, Lowcountry boils, and so much more." - Ashley Daniels

Enjoyed an evening out on the patio with live music! Tyler was a great server and kept us happy the entire time. Make sure you get reservations since they will fill up fast especially for larger parties. The food was delicious and the drinks were good too! Highly recommend and will go back next time were in town.

I like a good craft beer and pizza. This place had both. Great beer selection! Also we had the the charred and cupped pepperoni pizza with hot honey!! Best Ive ever had!! Our son had the chicken sandwich and loved it.

I got the fried chicken sandwich, and my wife got the pulled pork bbq plate. Everything was great. Sandwich and pork were delicious, the hush puppies were great. Cucumber salad could have used a little more salt & pepper, but you can season it yourself to your taste. I'm sure it gets very loud & busy later in the day, but we were just about the only people there when we went right when it opened. If you are a Hilton gold or diamond, and staying at the condos, rather than the hotel (where they give you complimentary breakfast), you can use your daily dining credit here. Prices aren't the cheapest, but it's a great use of your credit. Service was VERY slow. Our waiter was friendly and apologetic, but I have no idea why it would take nearly half an hour to get our food out when like I said, there was almost no one else there.

We visited Black Drum (while on vacay - based upon a TikTok review). The restaurant itself is nice. The service was extremely slow, and the food really didn’t live up to the hype. The Mac & Cheese and veggies were probably a 4/10 (at best), the mashed potatoes were awesome (8/10), and brisket (per my bf) was a 6/10.

This brewery was stunning! The food was on the more expensive side, but worth every penny! My husband got an IPA and said it was really good. We got the poutine fries and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was a little dry, but those poutine fries were amazing. Would definitely go back and try some other options.

Here on business trip solo. Needed an early dinner after travel and checking in next door at Embassy Suites. Host was friendly and able to get me to a seat almost immediately. Menu had a nice selection of food choices. I went with the ‘Certified Clucker Sandwhich’. It came with the spice-battered fries and pickles on the side. I went with an additional Green Beans side. Food came out quick. Waitress was attentive. The food portion was large (I couldn’t finish) and was excellent tasting.

Solid 4. Went twice in one day. The first time just for drinks and the bartenders were great. 2nd time for family dinner. We got the $145 meat plate with 10 sides. Wish the sides were bigger so all 6 of us could get more than half a teaspoon of baked beans but they were just normal size portions. I think maybe it would’ve been better if we could’ve chosen our own maybe 5 out of the 10 options and got double portions. Or I guess maybe we should’ve just let everyone in my party choose just one side to eat for themselves instead of everyone getting a half teaspoon of mac&cheese. Food was decently good, not exceptional. It did fill our tummies and I would go back. When I look at the pic it just doesn’t look like $145 plate. Maybe I’m wrong. Spent less here than Paula Deen’s and Black Drum was better. There’s that.

Located within the Kingston Resorts, this brewery had a lot going on. The guitarist Saturday night was good! I wish I could actually "see" his performance but his was located at the entrance & was hidden by the brewery service rack. Our server JOSH was amazing! So accommodating & polite! 🙌🏾 I had the Carolina Low Country Shrimp with SC Jumbo Shrimp, Fresh Corn On The Cob, Kielbasa Sausage, Red Bliss Potatoes Charleston Broth, Clarified Butter, Lemons, Boil Dust and Sweet Rolls.... delicious, but the only thing I'd do differently next time is request 'light" seasoning. 🥵 Also, the well prepared Pan Seared Flounder with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce| Carolina Dirty Rice| Butter Seared Asparagus was good. The Fire Roasted Oysters were some of the best I've ever tasted 🥰😋 Two things I could do without (totally personal) loved her spirit, but the annoying dancing lady going from table to table like Tinkerbell from Peter Pan & the unmanaged children running around the brewery like it's Chucky Cheese!
