"Don’t be fooled by its most vulgarly named brewskis – ahem, the Tangy Taint sour or Juicy Puss juicy pale ale. You’ll want to down ‘em all at this industrial park gem. In late 2023, Black Flamingo opened an outpost along Oakland Park’s main drag." - Jesse Scott

Great place... Fantastic beer and AMAZING FOOD!!! With 1st Class Service made, my wife and I feel like friends. This was our very first time but will be a regular place to go now!!!! If you are in the Oakland Park area, this is a must place to visit regularly. Thank you 😊

Google
Black Flamingo Brewing has a storefront brewery and tap room in an industrial park off Powerline Road. It is the location that originally was Holy Mackerel and then Weed Reaper breweries. I have visited here under both those names. It is a walkable distance to another brewery too. Other places have brewery districts and I always hoped these two breweries are successful and may attract more to the area. However, first impression of Black Flamingo wasn't all that great. It was Friday and I checked to see what time they opened. Their website said 2pm. I arrived at 2:30 and found the door was locked and hours on the door indicated that opening time was really 3. I took a walk around the area and returned at 3 for a couple beers. The board showed 15 choices. As I was deciding what to get, the bartender told me only 3 of the 15 were available. Fortunately, the two glasses of beer that I tried of the three that he had were both very good. Since I liked the beers, I'll return here sometime and give Black Flamingo another try.

We were visiting from out of town, and this place was a bit far from where we were staying. However, after seeing the names and flavors of the beers on their website, we knew we had to check it out. This place has a great, funky, chill vibe. Seating inside and out, with both lounge-y couches and tables for playing cards or drinking flights. They had great beers with kitschy names, particularly the sours. They had a food truck out back the night we were there and stand up comedy. It is kid-friendly, however, the comedians can be a bit 'PG-13' to 'R' rated. We would definitely go back.

Google
I absolutely love this place! It’s truly a gem hidden in a quiet part of an industrial park (which also means that you will find plenty of parking when they open in the afternoon). You enter through their outdoor patio (facing a lake) that has a few top-tables with some games on them. The first thing you see when you go in is a classic-style and cozy sitting room by the window, but then you realize right away that you’re actually in a garage/warehouse! There’s a bar on your left side, a few tables + some sofas and a space for a small band on your right; and at the end of this big room you can see their custom-made homebrew system. Btw, I love where their door for the complaint dept. is!! Behind the bar there’s a big blackboard on the wall with the list of their many beers with sometimes funny names. Don’t worry if you don’t know which one to get: their very attentive bartenders will help you choose according to your taste - but of course, you can never go wrong by ordering a sampler. The prices are very decent considering that you get good craft beers. We went there a couple of times already in the last few weeks, and both times they had a live rock band: we saw two different groups so far, and they were both just amazing. Although the music can be loud, I found this place great for chilling either with friends or alone: it’s a very down-to-earth place where (at least on Saturdays, the only time we could/can come here) you will only meet people with your same passion for beers and music.

Warm and friendly service with a smile! Fresh brews of all kinds to try and enjoy! As soon as you walk in the decor and music paired with great beer!! Hosting several Live music events definitely a great vibe!!

Google
I was at another local brewery and when pulling out to go home, I noticed this gem and decided “Hey, why not!” I have never seen or heard of any marketing regarding Black Flamingo Brewing Company, which is a shame. This is my kind of place, calm, dark, relaxing, and a small but great variety of beers. In addition, a band called “The Magic Bus Band” is there every Saturday from 2-5 and they were really good if you like a variety of classics! Definitely worth a try if your looking for something different to try!

Google
New owner of old Holy Mackrel location. Very attentive. Unique selective. Quality beers. Great sour beer options wife says. Had flomotion for me, like blue moon. Looking forward to going back. Has amazing pizza. Live music on special nights.

Google
Fantastic experience! Amazing food! Delicious beer. We had the burnt ends tots and highly recommend. The atmosphere is great and the managers are friendly, efficient and great conversation. If you’re looking for a place to try check Black Flamingo out!! 🦩🦩

Yelp
Excellent brewery. Locals gave us a quick tour, we played jenga and darts, ate some good food and drank the local brew.

Brittany S.

Yelp
Great service, drinks, and ambiance. Beer is nice and cold. They had a food truck with some good pizza and we got to play bingo. Love this place.

Peipei Y.

Yelp
I'd definitely come over more often if we live in Pompano beach. My favorite beer is the toasted coconut cream ale, if you like coconut flavor, definitely try this one.

Stefanie S.

Yelp
We went here last Saturday night to see a Tom Petty Tribute Band and I just love the venue. It has a nice cozy feel to it and intimate seating to view the band. The band was excellent. I am not much of a beer drinker, so I chose the cider and it was delicious. The server was very nice and patient when I asked to change the size of my beer. They have different events on different nights such as trivia, open mic, etc. They also had food for purchase outside from a catering business. Seems like a great neighborhood establishment, and I am looking forward to coming again. The place is kind of hidden away, so you won't likely pass it on your own, but my GPS brought me right there.

Michele C.

Yelp
Music was great, beer was awesome- great time! Location was a little hidden and unusual but so worth the effort and drive!

Alexandria V.

Yelp
Cool place with great customer service + banging beers! Loved that for this time of year (Halloween) they had a flight with candy to pair with it! How creative! The bartender was very attentive. While the place was busy with a few tables and those at the small bar area, he still made the time to come around to us and ask how the flight was! They were playing the football game on a huge tv screen which was a nice plus!!! It is a weird location like if you didn't know it was there you would absolutely drive right past it. Will definitely be back though!

Vicki M.

Yelp
Stop #2 on our brewery tour! I am not a beer drinker but I wanted to try some different beers. We shared a flight including Gold Tail, Toasted Coconut, Beach Casual. I enjoyed all of them but especially enjoyed the coconut flavor. There was a group playing darts and a table with a large party enjoying pitchers. We sat inside but there were tables outside. We did not order food, but they had empanadas. They also have beer for purchase to-go. There were games and TVs. There was a chalk board calendar of events including trivia and music. Staff were friendly and helpful in selecting beers. I recommend a visit to Pompano Beach Brewing to enjoy some of their brew.

Mick M.

Yelp
Really has gone downhill. It's such a shame. I used to come here because it was pet friendly. No dog treats or water bowls. I forgave it because the service was good. Beers are average. Never have anything in stock. Bye

Misty M.

Yelp
This was a perfect stop after we found that black flamingo brewing did not have a food option. It is located right across the parking lot from there and had far superior beer selection as well. Overall, this was a great little stop!

TJ H.

Yelp
Great service and brews, have liked going here since it was banging banjos. Finally showed up when a function wasn't going on and they weren't slammed.

Mike N.

Yelp
Decent selection of beer. (ipa, stouts, sour, lager, fruity) But the Yelp page is outdated. Most the photos are from the previous brewery (banging banjo?) the flights and popcorn sampling is no more. There's only food trucks or bring your own beer. We happened to stop by on a Monday evening with not many options.

Sherry W.

Yelp
Great place for a beer and to watch live music. We had a flight of 6 beers for $14. They have many drafts to choose from. We went with many sours and enjoyed them. The Saturday night we went they had a Hootie and Matchbox 20 cover band. Music was 7-9pm. Perfect timing for people my age:) the stage was outside, but if raining they can play on the inside stage. Music is free! There is only one Women's toilet which can lead to waiting. We women are used to that. There's plenty of parking. It's in a warehouse district. I wish they had shaded outdoor seating during the day. More seating outdoors during the band performance would be good too. We had to stand.

Michelle S.

Yelp
We are still social distancing so it was GREAT that they had an outdoor area. Both inside and outside are pet friendky. Great food truck out doors. Huge selection of beers including several sours. Definitely get a sampler try several and get a pint of your favorite or two. There is a speaker outdoors so you can hear music and on Tuesday night trivia from outside.

Victoria G.

Yelp
Stopped by here Wednesday of last week since we went to Black flamingo prior a few customers from there recommended we should stop by. They had a good variety of beer- As usual we started off with a tasting flight and then we did a few single beers. Alaina was our beertender and she was super cool! Most definitely will be stopping by here a lot to grab a few brewskis.

Annette M.

Yelp
Drove about 30 minutes to check out Pompano Beach Brewery on a Saturday night and I'd say the experience was subpar. There was a band playing when we arrived and the music was a bit too loud for my liking. I had to yell at the people at my table to have a conversation. It was also a bit hot in the venue and just felt a little uncomfortable and took a while to adjust to the temperature. The bartender, Christian was very helpful in my deciding which drink to have. They had more options of IPA's however I'm not a huge fan of IPA's. Christian recommended the #19 Purgatory. Not bad for an IPA but still a bit sour for me. I ended up ordering the #14 Malinois (Belgian Strong Golden Ale) which was actually very good. I ended up having another one after as I wasn't too thrilled with the selection of beers. Our party started playing some of the games they offered at the venue which was pretty fun, but again we were all yelling across the table in order to hear with the loud music. Overall the experience was okay but I probably won't be making a trip unless I'm already in the area.

Lola L.

Yelp
Waste of money. Only people who could hear were people in the front row. Everyone else couldn't understand what the comedians were saying. The acoustics were unacceptable.

PJ N.

Yelp
place is located in an industrial area.....really off the beaten path, you have to hunt for it....beers are good, nothing crazy great, but good. beer-tender is a little odd, but friendly. don't know if i'd go back again

Frank N.

Yelp
Beer! I like beer and this place has GOOD beer. Something for every taste but doesn't overdue it by trying ro chase the latest fad. If you are a smooth stout drinker and get the opportunity to try the Fireside Sammie...indulge...you will not regret it! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location has bar, table and outside seating areas...again something for everybody. Cheers!

Matt L.

Yelp
The beer is excellent, the brewer and all staff are friendly and welcoming to all people. The atmosphere is relaxed and come as you are. The food truck attached also lights out. Highly, highly recommend....

Valerie C.

Yelp
So here we are Saturday afternoon at Pompano Beach brewery company. Started off with my typical blondes the only blonde on their menu is Gold Tail. It leaves a lot to be desired it's not quite the same taste as the ever so lovely French tickler. So keep that in mind if you're a blonde ale drinker that the taste is not quite the same here When you arrive it's a very nice atmosphere it's one of those off the beaten path places looks like a industrial area but it's a brewery that's very nice on the inside a limited selection but however the atmosphere surpasses the beer selection

Lawrence R.

Yelp
Ok I do miss the previous brewery. Banging Banjos. It is on my rotation for Pompano Beach Breweries

Barbara I.

Yelp
Best Mango IPA!! It was really fruity!!Great selection of Stouts. can't beat Sunday $5 drafts.

Alexi Y.

Yelp
Since they changed names, this is the first review they've received. Therefore, all pictures on their site are old. They have a rockin new look with cool vibes. Go checkout their beautifully remodeled interior. Another pleasant surprise on a Saturday night! Brewery was a good size with lots of hi-tops to see the stage. The stage has a nice platform and well focused in the front as you walk in. **Lots of free parking outside. Pizza available outside. I came to checkout the U2 Tribute band from Miami, Wide Awake. They did not disappoint! Service: happy, pleasant, very efficient. Beer: The drink menu was very diverse. I selected 6 to include a range of flavors; Passion Fruit (cider), Getting Caught in the Rain(sour gose), Gold Tail (blond ale), Hop off the Muffin, Le Poisson D'or, Purgatory. Nice variety for the tunes of the night. Music: Wide Awake band from Miami strummed U2 songs all night!! Some vocals were stronger than others. But, overall, the tunes brought back memories of the 80's as if it were yesterday. Loved it! Venue: Band was inside.... no bugs or rain to worry about. Had the best view of the stage from my hi-top. Bathrooms were large and clean. Not too crowded. First time here and will return for future band performances.

Rachel S.

Yelp
I found PBBC because I follow Cousins Maine Lobster and their food truck happened to be there a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun playing "What Do You Meme?" They have a large shelf of games to choose from if you want to break them out! Lots of beers to choose from, a good variety to please most beer gurus. My favorite was the Starlight Session IPA. We'll be back for sure.

Lucas E.

Yelp
Very solid little brewery tucked back into an office park. Popped in randomly while in town on business and caught some great live music. Beer was solid, and service was great. Kinda wish they'd put in a bit more effort to spruce the place up....but hey, beer is great so whatever! Drink local!

Whinkie L.

Yelp
Pompano Beach's hidden gem! Located in a tucked away area, this brewery offers much more than meets the eye. From the dimly-lit lights to the very chill music choices, this gorgeous brewery offers a relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable vibe for small and big group activities. This spacious area allows many to enjoy its outside and indoor seatings with a multitude of fun and challenging boardgames and game options. There is also a compact stage for performances and a picturesque, hipster corner with fairy lights, cute plants, and a small bench. The kind, relatable bartender displayed exemplar service. He gave great recommendations and let you sample the drinks until satisfied. The drinks that I ordered were light and tasty while also being super affordable. There is also a water dispenser to stay hydrated. ----- Honestly, the combination of everything listed above is what motivates me to explore new places. To say I had a great time is such an understatement to what this place offered to me. This place is hard to be confused with the other nearby brewery.

Jason K.

Yelp
Nice little microbrewery tucked back in an industrial neighborhood. First off, the parking is easy. Even with a food truck in the parking lot, which is a plus, there were more than enough spots to park without an issue. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is that it is designed to resemble an outdoor bier garden with all of the plants, picnic tables, and hanging lights, but is inside, protected from the heat, sun, and rain. This is a great option for Florida. The indoor space is very large, much larger than you would expect from a small microbrewery. After sitting at the bar, we were immediately greeted by a friendly bartender who showed us a menu, went over the options, took our order, and delivered our beers with a smile. They have unique and interesting glassware, which is one thing that sets them apart. They also offer flights, as most places do, but in fun banjo wood holders. The bar area has a bit of an industrial or backyard theme to it, which goes well with the picnic table motif. As for the actual beer, we have 2-3 options each, and were all satisfied with our choices. The service, unique motif, quality beer, and fun glassware are just a few of the things that set Banjo apart from other microbreweries in the area.

Robert T.

Yelp
Great place. Tucked away, so pull up the map ahead of going. They're not riding the craft wave and are actually making good beer.

Jim H.

Yelp
So back in Ft. Lauderdale and looking for a couple of breweries to try and I happen upon two with spitting distance of each other! In fact, both had small signs on the same pole at the main drag. Shhh, I hear banjos. Is that Ned Beatty in the corner? Is that the theme from Deliverance playing? I had called ahead because I saw that they sometimes have food trucks here. I got lucky and Tucker Duke's was cooking up burgers and such tonight. BBB is in a nice spot in, yep, a light industrial area. There was plenty of parking and a nice set up inside. Nicely decorated, not just an empty warehouse like some breweries. It felt friendly inside. It was still early on a Friday, about 6pm when I arrived, so only about 12 people inside. I ordered up a flight of 6, and will go through those in the order that I feel like. Odin's Revenge Belgian Red is a nice combination of the typical Belgian flavor with the malty red. Good but not my favorite. Now a Toasted Coconut Cream Ale caught my attention. I didn't get the coconut aroma but the toasted coconut was definitely there in the flavor. This was a tasty cream ale, still light but the extra coconut flavor made it stand out. I might take a crowler of this with me. As I kept tasting this, I did find the coconut aroma. Nicely done. Judy's Amber Ale is a smooth amber ale. No really strong flavors, nicely balanced between the malt flavor and a little hops. SWPFTD would like this, though she has been liking some of the IPA's more lately. I Can't Believe It's Not Yogurt! I had some misgivings about ordering this. Yogurt? It's billed as a sour Gose and let me tell you if you like sours this was one hell of a good beer. It did have an aroma of yogurt as well as a really pretty hazy yellow color to it. Yeah, this was kinda like drinking yogurt. It was actually really good! Funny how often I am running across breweries serving a Gose now. A couple of years ago they just weren't around at all. It's just after St. Patrick's Day, is how could I not order a Shamrock Shake. Of course it's a green milkshake IPA with a nice green color. It obviously tasted like an IPA but I swear I was also able to pick up the flavor of a shamrock shake from McDonalds in there. It might be just the influence of the name on my brain. ‍ Last one here was the barrel aged Ruck Sack, an imperial milk stout. Chocolate on the nose, chocolate and whiskey barrel on the palate. Nice beer BBB! Ok, I found myself wanting to sample more of their beers. But there is another brewery across the parking lot and I want to give both a chance. BBB is absolutely worth stopping into. The ladies st the bar were friendly, the beers were good, and the whole place just worked for me. Fabulous! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand.

Yelp
Love pompano beach brewing. Great vibe and amazong beer. Ryan is one of the best bartenders we have ever had. Always so attentive and in front of us right as I take my last sip to get me another. If you dont know what you want, decribe it to him and he can align you correctly

Kellina M.

Yelp
Just came across this little spot, or a big spot since it's in a warehouse type of vibe. Absolutely love the choices there, personally I don't really drink beer or cider so I enjoy the seltzer's. Bartender Brittany L. Is awesome and we love to go visit her! Also the food truck is awesome totally recommend the chicken BLT!

Frank F.

Yelp
This is a phenomenal local brewery in Pompano, one of the best! It's almost visit all of their peers are very good, my favorite is the coconut cream out very good IPAs, very good sours as well and unbelievable stouts

Lauren G.

Yelp
Bangin' Banjo appreciates teachers! They have teacher appreciation days on Friday, so I got $2 off my draft. Other days, it looks like there's a nice check-in deal of $1 off. Not bad! They didn't have the most expansive menu in terms of types of beer. I didn't see lagers or ales. It was mostly IPA's and stouts, some sours. I generally dislike IPA's, I figured I might be out of luck. Luckily I did like the OJ Session IPA since it wasn't overly hoppy. I liked the ambiance here. It wasn't industrial inside like some breweries tend to be. It was dimly lit, comfortable, with high tops, picnic tables, a couch, shuffle board, board games, and cute rustic decor.

Alexa C.

Yelp
Oh Susana, now don't you cry for me.. because I've come to Pompano for a Bangin Banjo on my knee. Quirky, hip, and eccentric brewery in Pompano right on Copans road in between I-95 and the Turnpike. I headed up here with my Yelpie Mars G. as we satisfied our craving for some beer on a Friday night. We bought tickets for the Anything Gose Beer Festival which catered to all things sour. Now personally, I'm not much of a sour head but I saw the list of beers and knew which ones were going to be my go-to's. There's a vast selection of brewing styles with interesting ingredients all across the board. Whether it was a dragonfruit ale or the Russian imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels, the variety kept me drinking steadily all night in my lovely souvenir glass. The live band was the Copper Tones which totally rocked the night away. They played the best hits along with some of their own tracks and you could t help but dance. Everyone is quite friendly and the service was friendly and efficient. I wish they had more seating though, it looked like a larger portion of the people were standing which is fine but sometimes you just want to prop down and just chill. The food truck options were pretty tasty too and the parking isn't too shabby because of the open spaces available in the rear side of the building.

Patricia U.

Yelp
Pompano Beach Brewing company, former Banging Banjo, is a great brewery in Pompano Beach. It's very hidden in an industrial park, but the location is a pretty taproom with an amazing outdoor space. They usually have a food vendor at the location and free peanuts. I looooove the Coconut Cream Ale, it seriously can never leave their taps. Their beers are clean, yet flavorful, which I love. They also have very pretty cans, love the design! *wink* The owners, brewers and bar tenders are the nicest people, we love supporting businesses like that!

Shikira H.

Yelp
Beware they are very well hidden. Don't be discouraged by your GPS it's taking you where you need to be. Banging Banjo's is a hidden gem for great craft beer choices. The shamrock is a favorite of mine however I wasn't able to sample too many different brews as my work group were not craft beer conoisseurs. However they've assured me they'll return as they love the laid back environment and plan to bring their beer loving partners for a date night. There's no kitchen, only food trucks which can get pricey so I'd suggest you eat somewhere first and come here after. You won't be disappointed.

Nick A.

Yelp
Lots of fun and a great place to go with friends. It's really cool because you can see the back room where they actually make the beer. Obviously it's a brewery and you would expect that but it was neat. They had this Spanish food truck outside and it was off the chain. You can check their website to see what food truck will be there depending on the day. Now back to the brewery. The beer itself was great. My favorite was the summer sunshine or something like that. It was fruity and refreshing. I also got a couple of flights and we (all 5 of us) took turns trying out most of the flavors on tap. We also tried the popcorn flight that goes along with the beer and it was good too. The overall experience was lots of fun and I would really recommend this place if you like breweries or if you're looking for a new fun experience to do with friends. Ps they have board games and after a beer or too they are extremely entertaining. Check this place out!

Yelp
I discovered Bangin' Banjo Brewing Company back in February 2016, and its been a mainstay of mine when I'm able to head down to Broward to enjoy some of their breweries. There are generally four things I look for when visiting a taproom of a brewery: 1.) Great taplist with special/seasonal releases - CHECK 2.) Cool, laid-back taproom with nice interior reflecting the personality of the brewery - CHECK 3.) Cool beertenders who are knowledgable and personable - CHECK 4.) Capacity to sell bottles of limited releases when available - CHECK Bangin' Banjo has always tapped beers that are up my alley, Recently, I was able to enjoy a Coconut Creamsicle that was out of this world as well as an Invincibility Potion Belgian Strong Golden Ale, which was solid. I tend to be partial to darker ales to begin with so if you're able, be sure to enjoy a Bangarang English Brown Ale or Cows Gone Coconuts Milk Stout. Most of their taplist is tops. The one challenge that Bangin' as well as other breweries in the tri-county area tend to have is that they're located in commercial/industrial office parks that may or may not have signs directing you there. But if you're good with directions or have GPS, you should be fine. As an old wiseman once told me, "Follow the smell of hops and malts, and you will be graced with Graceland." ... No, that's bullshit, I just made that up. But it's just south of Sample on Powerline, so it's pretty easy to get to. To date: I've enjoyed 15 of their unique beers, not counting multiple servings. So trust me, they're good. So get in the car, make your way there, and prepared to be wowed.

Julio H.

Yelp
Cool place that carries a style of beer called Gose. Simply put, it is a sour and salty beer. Sounds weird, but think of margaritas with a salted rim glass. Yep, drink up! The beers here are pretty good, this is not a premier brewery yet, but it delivers. If you are lucky to attend during one of the festivals, then this is an awesome brewery. On a regular night, this is a good brewery with plenty of options. You will not be disappointed. The space here is super cool and big, and there are plenty of TV screens, just in case the conversation is boring, you know. Lots of cool people come here also.

Denise W.

Yelp
Great beers. Nice atmosphere. Picnic tables outside. Great prices Wednesday through Sunday

Clyde L.

Yelp
Congrats to Bangin' Banjo Brewing Company for their Anniversary! Diane and I went to the party that they had. It was more beer than I've seen in a long time. They were selling tickets for $5.00 each for beer, ales, ciders, etc. I got lucky and found a parking spot right out front. They had a fantastic band playing marvelous music! I met several wonderful Yelp friends also enjoying beers. The bartender gave me great advice on which drinks would suit my taste. I had a couple of terrific beers. It was a fabulous party, way too hot (but it's a brewery)! It was crowded, but some very nice strangers shared their space with us. I sampled some beers, and went home. It was a very nice, festive event, very well run. I had a great time. I'd love to go again next year!

Yelp
So I finally got around to finishing a review for Banjo. I have been here dozens of times just didn't want to writes review that was off the cuff, and sold the place short. What makes Banjo so great? They try to do things well. The beers are great. The atmosphere is simple-cool. The beer list is far from complex. You can sample one or two and land on what you like quickly. We pop in here for happy hour often. The beer people in our group get heat they like. And the non-adventurous beer drinkers have options for them too. The crowd is a very laid back one. The layout is the the newer vibe that has become very popular. Barely decorated with raw wood and tin accoutrements. They have events here many different nights, but aren't trying to over promote by any means. Banjo just really isn't trying that hard to impress every hipster beer-snob who walks in the door. And that is kinda refreshing at a good bar brewery.

Mark L.

Yelp
What a cool way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon! Drinking lots of great beer haha. After sampling quite a few and watching the Fins win at Holy Mackerel we walked over to Bangin' Banjo to continue imbibing. Having two great breweries practically next door is awesome and I am sure it is great business for both of them. Had a weird thought of a complete industrial park area strictly for brewers and distillers. Like an Art district. Not that weird. First thing that hits you upon entering is this is a good sized tap room. They could do a lot in this room music, art, mini beer fests anything really. Sat at the bar, met nice people, had fun. There were a decent number of people sitting at tables they looked comfortable too. I ordered a 7 sample flite that came on a wooden banjo server. I cant believe that I didn't take a picture of this novelty as its definately cool. Just the fact that it holds 7 beers is impressive, it's a great way to sample the ample offerings. They had 20 beers displayed on a nicely lit board that covered most bases even had sours. Snuck a peak into the back for a photo of the tanks and saw they have the capability to pump out volumes. Beers were delicious. I went #3, 8, 7, 18, 14, 19 and ? I was starting to get a little light minded about now. I think I need to do this again next Sunday for the Dolphins Pats game this time we start at Bangin'!

Yelp
I dig! I've been here a total of three times. The first was for a kick off event for the craft beer week back in December of last year, the second was for beer bingo, and the third was an impromptu stop on the way back home the other night. Each time has been relaxing and fun. So, I'm a big fan of their Gosegetter Gose. It's one of their most popular beers and I'll definitely be down to have some again after November hits :) I had a Groupon that I purchased a while back for two flights with two souvenir shot glasses to take home for $12 and my husband wanted to redeem it before it expired. He liked the Hop of the Muffin and Cypress Creek that he tried the other night. The other ones were so-so for him. He couldn't even get the second flight and said to give it to someone else or the bartenders could have it on the house for him since he was so full from dinner. There is a list online that you can check out before you go to see what's on tap. It varies daily, so what might be available today may not be tomorrow. They also have beer bingo, board games, live music, and special events going on there periodically. Become a fan on their Facebook page to keep up-to-date with it. Sometimes they have a food truck outside you can order from if you want some grub or you can order from a local vendor inside if there isn't one outside. It's a 50-50 chance with that. If it wasn't for the craft beer week, I probably would have never have found out about this place. The staff and vibe is very welcoming. You can stay for an hour or five and they would still love you the same. It's worth checking out if you're in the Pompano Beach area and you got time to kill for a flight or two. Go thirsty and leave happy.

Yelp
Driving to Bangin' Banjo Brewing Company I thought two things: 1. This place looks like I could get murdered. 2. I think this could be the backdrop of some adult film I may or may not have seen. Honestly, when you're driving here for the first time you're almost positive that you're lost. Nestled in an Industrial Park of sorts is this brewery in Pompano Beach. You will not see a big sign for it so keep your eyes peeled. Don't turn around if you think you're completely lost- you're almost there. The inside: It's a pretty cool spot! Not huge so if you go during a big event or busy night it can feel a little overwhelming. Because of the size it gets really loud. The inside has a cool vibe to it. They have games for you to play. Longer tables for bigger groups so you have space to spread out and play. The beer: How do you go to a brewery and not drink a beer? I tried the Gosegetter Gose. And for someone who isn't really a beer guy, I like it. It's a little tart, but I like the idea of the orange mixed in with the German Ale. Next time I need to try their flights. They offer 4, 5, and 6 flight options which 6 flights being $8. Perfect for anyone wanting to sample or learn about beer. They also have trivia nights on Thursday which is cool and can get very competitive. What's missing is food. Yes, they offer food trucks outside, but there is no in-house food to be had. The focus is beer, yes I know, but I like to eat just as much as I like to drink. I really liked this place. Totally not what I was expecting when I got here but definitely a pleasant surprise.

Yelp
Getting on the Bangin' Banjo fan-train is a bit difficult for me. We arrived before the crowd on a Friday night to grab a table for our party of four. We weren't sure if they had table service or not so finding out the hard way we decided to wait thinking someone would come by and explain to us the process since it was not very busy and still early on. After no one came by we decided to go up and order at the bar. We knew we wanted a Flight so we were advised to fill out one of their Flight List Cards so we would know exactly what was in each spot on our Banjo Flight. The theme of the Banjo is pretty cool and it makes for a fun Flight! While going through their beers and picking which ones we wanted to try, we found difficulty. I'm not sure if it was due to them being out of two listed or they just are not our kind of craft beers. Six for $8 was a great deal and gave us the opportunity to try each one of their brews that we thought sounded enticing. Our Flight consisted of -Gosegetter Gose: More of a Sour Beer with a Tart/Sweet taste. -Cypress Creek Cream Ale: Surprisingly my pick out of the 6! Not too creamy with a slightly hoppy finish. -Judy's Amber Ale: A stronger Amber without the high percentage. -Hop of the Muffin American IPA: My husbands pick out of the 6. -Brother Banjo Belgium IPA: Our least favorite being harshly hoppy and too sweet. -D.H. Endurance Potion Belgium Blonde: Light with a Floral aftertaste. The theme of the beers seemed to be on a sweeter side; not my thing. Also, note that if you order Cabernet it will come out nice and cold from the fridge.. Now for the ambiance and customer service. I feel as if these can go hand in hand together when the employees are not very personable. Each time anyone from our table went up to retrieve a new beer it would take forever. The staff was not quick to acknowledge us and would take just whoever they looked at first; not necessarily the person that has been standing there the longest. Their Brewery is on the smaller side but with a very open main room. They have games you can play and difference sizes of tables; some high tops, regular 4 person tables, a short bar and long picnic style seating. The inside was very clean and it was nice to be able to see the brewery while sitting in the main area. Currently they do not serve food but while we were there Tucker Dukes had a Pop-Up Kitchen outside serving up some of their menu favorites. Overall, I was not overly excited about any of their beers and probably wouldn't travel to visit again but had a nice time there with friends before our main event.

Yelp
Wow! This could be my top 3 favorite local brewery. After I attended the Yelp Local Beer Week event here, I know I had to come back and try more of their beers. Even though it's a bit out there from my house, I knew it'd be worth my trip. I decided to invite a few friends here to hang out on a Friday evening. We arrived a little early and the place was already packed. The atmosphere was great and everybody was having a good time. And especially the live band that was playing was terrific. We sat down and I knew I had to go for the flight so I get to try all the different kind of beers. And it's a great deal; 6 for $8.00? I am sold. I love IPAs, so naturally I picked two of them on my list of 6. Both Hop of the Muffin and the Belgium IPA were great. I also selected other lager like the Gosegetter Gose. Both were light body flavored and delicious. The staff was pretty friendly and helped me making my selection of beers in my flight. I'd say its definitely a cool place to hang out with friends while have a couple of beers. They don't serve food here, but there was a food truck outside which my friends told me they served pretty good food. They also got a lot of games to keep the people entertained. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Nice place to relax, have fun... They have board games , jenga, and a shuffle board. Great variety of beers. The gose is super sour... Yummy. Almost every day they have an activity or food vendors. If the beer is extra good, they sell out of it quick. Limited batch brews. I really, really, really like the ODIN'S REVENGE. If you love beer, you should visit Banging Banjo. It is a little out of the way, in a warehouse plaza... Well worth the journey!

Yelp
Small little micro brewery. Place seems nice. Couldn't sit inside bcuz all of the empty tables had "reserved" signs on them. Had to sit outside in the heat. Would have preferred more available inside seating. They have cornhole games outside and a great little pizza place. Try the beer and pizza. Great combo.
