Do not sleep on this place's food!!! Some craft breweries think of their food menu secondarily, but not Black Flamingo! The care put into every item on the menu is completely evident from the first bite. The food and drinks available are excitingly diverse and well thought-out. Special thanks to co-owner Andres, who was wonderful to take time to chat with a new local. Oh, and come hungry, these portions are satisfying!

I love coming here for their vast selection of ciders, seltzers and beer. Their food is next level—I find myself craving their breakfast pizza AT LEAST once a month. Definitely a place to check out—you won’t be disappointed. Also, the owners are so sweet and nice and always remember us.

This is my second time at Black Flamingo and it has truly been an amazing experience. Beer and food are exquisite. Specially, the customer service from Stephanie (one of the owners). Definitely will come back again to try their delicious beer and food. What I'd like the most is that their pet friendly and was able to bring my 3 year old poodle. Other places should definitely follow this and allow our furry ones to come into the establishment instead of sitting outside in this 10000 degree weather. Came here for a Bookclub meetup and had a wonderful time!! The owners and staff were able to accommodate our super large group and were so nice!! The place has a beautiful comfy ‘grunge’ atmosphere that lets you feel like you can be yourself. I tried the Brie Bacon Jam Burger and it was AMAZING!!! Washed that down with their amazing beer! Awesome selection of beers! Something for everyone!! Hope we can visit again!! 🍻🍔 📚 🔥

If you’re a fan of craft beer, do yourself a favor and check out the Black Flamingo. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and buzzing with good energy. The husband and wife duo are knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience that much better. The beer selection is top-tier. Whether you’re into crisp lagers, juicy IPAs, bold stouts, or something experimental, there’s something on tap that’ll blow you away. I especially loved the Mousse Knuckles It’s the kind of place where you come for a drink and end up staying for hours. Can’t wait to come back!

It was rough… second time trying the place. The beer was OK. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and the pork was fine. The bun was freezer burnt… to the point I couldn’t eat it. Fries were fine, but unsalted, which was weird. Atmosphere is edgy at best. When you look beyond the bar, it feels like yours sitting in a flea market. They have a great social media presence which is not even close to reality.

My husband and I were on the lookout for a low-key, good vibe community-focused brewery in the area so we checked out Black Flamingo. We fell in love! The owners are great, the beer is awesome, and the FOOD IS AMAZING! It's probably the best pub food I've had in my 12 years living in South Florida. (Seriously, the pulled pork is beyond, which is saying a lot as someone who grew up in the Midwest, and they had delicious options for my vegetarian friend). It's become our go-to neighborhood spot where we feel seen, served, and happy! Definitely check it out.

Skip everything on the menu and go straight for the pizza! We had the pear one and it was 11/10! We also had the hummus and it was mid at best so I’d say skip that one all together. The beer flights were also a hit- we got to try a bunch of different beers. They also had a live singer that we didn’t care for. BUT overall the atmosphere was great, they have plenty of space, fast service and the people there were generally a good time.

Nice little craft brewery in a restaurant and bar area. We came in for a snack and drinks. They do not have a bar, it is beer and limited wine and whiskey seltzer options. The menu is very well developed with fired pizza, burgers, sandwiches and other good stuff. I had a flight, and it is normal for craft beer locations to have a few specialties that I like. I did find some palatable options, I stick to non-IPA, brown, wheat, amber and pilsners. Staff were very cool, manager or cook came out and made sure everything was good. Location is friendly and full of tourists and locals, a little hipsterish, but great rock music playing. The magnolia pizza was amazing and a great option. We split while my wife had a Pino Grigio, watched a movie close captioned, but there were also sports on the other screens. Our server was very nice and helpful, she made suggestions and was friendly and attentive to us all evening. Good visit for those who want to chill with a craft!

Trust me, you want a pizza of this! @blackflamingooaklandpark not only serves some of the finest craft beers but their food offerings is amazing. I highly recommend to start with the new Burnt Ends Tots and Tres Tacos for sharing. And of course their Neopolitan pizzas are outstanding. Perfectly toasted crust topped with the freshest toppings. I recommend the Badiera and Uppity. Both so good and all made in-house. This brewery is the perfect place to hangout with friends and family! 5 stars all around. Newish microbrewery lounge bar in the heart of " downtown" Oakland Park just east of the tracks by city hall. 5 stars ambience: you'll know you're there when you see the very cool giant red plastic armchairs out front. I have to admit, that's why I visited...I wanted to know where to get those chairs LOL 5 star service: everyone who works here seemed in a good mood and each talked to me a good 5-10 minutes about those chairs..LOL again 5 stars beverage: my partner raved about the beer. I just had a Diet Coke but they let us hang out for a long time

My first time at the Black Flamingo in Oakland Park.  Once upon a time, I was a fixture at the Pompano location.  And I can say I was definitely not disappointed by this location. Like the ambiance here.  Came of a quiet Sunday afternoon.  Good sized L shaped bar, with outside seating.  On the inside are 5 high tables and 3 regular tables. There is food here, and the menu looks good. It was a thirsty Sunday for me, so I didn't try the food, but next time for sure.  There are pizzas, tacos, hummus, and smoked wings, as well as tacos, sandwiches, sliders, and a dessert pizza option. If you are in Oakland Park FL, this would be a great stop for a beer crawl as it is about a 5 minute walk from Funky Buddha. THE BEER: Mothers Milk fruited sour... 5.5% ABV.... pineapple coconut sour.  This would be fantastic as a slushy. Quite refreshing. Neblina New Endland IPA... 7% ABV... this, New England is on the dry side.  Really good for the Florida heat. Hops are in full effect. Lil Trixx session IPA... 6.2% ABV...  liked it. Very hop forward.  Capićua West Coat DIPA... 9% ABV... this was my favorite, bitter sweet, west/east coast, hoppy, and full of flavor. There is also wine, canned beer, and other drinks like soda and juice.  They don't have growlers or crowlers, but if you bring your own growler, they will fill it. There were about 6 other beers on the tap, including another IPA, some lagers, pilsner, blonde ale, and a sour. I recommend Black Flamingo if you like great small batch craft beer.

Having been at the original location and not having high expectations food wise (beer was always solid), I was pleasantly surprised by Black Flamingo in Oakland Park! I went to this location to attend a Silent Book Club meeting and usually it's hit or miss on whether or not they can accommodate us. Thrilled to say this was a HIT! I got the arugula burger and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The fries were also great and the beer is always A+. The staff was incredibly friendly and they were able to keep up with 50+ of us all seated at once. The music was also great and I'm pretty sure they were playing renditions of Disney songs.

GREAT NEW LOCATION... Black Flamingo Brewing located on a busy area right on Dixie Highway in Oakland Park, FL. Massive black cement bar top with huge steel beer vats behind. A perfect stage set up in the center of the bar. They offer live music on Friday and Saturday nights from 7p to 11p. They have a simple food menu at great prices with a small kitchen in the back - sandwiches, pizza, apps and desserts. We met with the owner, Andres, and the bartender, Nathalie, who both extremely social. We ordered the Neblina Juicy IPA 7% and the Pucker Face Sour Ale 6%. Both beers were icy perfect. In addition to craft beers, they offer white and red wines. Several outside patio area to sit an relax. The bathrooms were spotless too. Will return for sure.

We enjoyed the food ( we had the big pretzel with Beer cheese, Tres Tacos and Wings - BBQ and honey glaze). Sorry no photos of this but they were all yummy! Band was excellent too - U2, Rolling Stones, Alanis Morissette. My only complaint was there was no luck on the bathroom door, which is ridiculous especially as they are unisex. How is that safe to have no lock on the door and people walking in on you sitting on the toilet! Thankfully I had my pants up when someone walked in on me!!!

Three of us came to Black Flamingo for beer tasting. I'm loving the Oakland Park culinary district! New restaurants are popping up here all the time. We each ordered beer flights which are very fun and a great way to sample the beers without getting bloated. Flights are $15 for 4 beers at 5 ounces each. They are nicely labeled so you can identify each beer easily. My flight included a blonde ale, citrusy IPA, doppel bock lager, and an amber lager. All were crisp and interesting. I loved the IPA. They serve food too! We did not eat but I saw some very yummy looking pizzas loaded with leafy greens and other interesting toppings. They also have live music. There is not a lot of seating so get there early.

Checked out Black Flamingo for the first time on Wednesday. Met up with friends here before going to the Inter Miami game. The owner, Andres, was so nice and helpful. The food options all looked good. I got the Caprese salad which was very fresh and delicious. I loved it. I really liked the beer too! Excited to come back and try others! It's very cute inside and very chill. The only downside is I wish the menu had more vegan and veg options!

My old friend told me about this place that lives nearby. I'm glad we came and checked it out! It was quiet and peaceful when we went. Perfect ambiance for us to be able to catch up after not seeing each other for awhile. The bartender was really sweet and let us sample beers before we decided on what we wanted at the end. There's seating inside and outside. We sat inside and had appetizers. I really enjoyed the hummus one. It was perfect for us to share. I recommend this hidden gem. Down the street is Funky Buddha, but if you want a change in atmosphere, this is the spot to go to!

Back in town, I chose Black Flamingo to come for my 65th birthday. Andreas was great as always, had The Sting burger, absolutely amazing, the best burger I have ever eaten and the fries were HOT too. (Something lots of places are slipping at) the Matches the Drapes red ale was outstanding also. If you sit at the tables and they are really busy go to the bar and let them know that you are there, they will take care of you after that. You won't be disappointed.

Last Sunday a friend and I were looking for a nice place to have brunch or a bite where the atmosphere was good, the food inexpensive but good. e stumbled upon this place. No one in the joint,dark, ambience zero. The bartender /owner was sweet but seemingly uncomfortable in her job. No fresh lemons or limes, bad wine choices. My Caesar salad was drenched with dressing. The pizza is not Napoletano, not by any stretch. The app choices were few and simple. Like for instance pigs in a blanket. It doesn't get worse than that. broward county continues to attempt to be a foodies county but in reality, it just doesn't cut it. I'll never go back.

Since moving to Oakland Park's downtown area 5 months ago, I have had my eye on the "opening soon" sign hanging in the window. I couldn't be more excited that Black Flamingo is finally open. Another brewery doing it right in downtown. All the beers here have been great, the IPA's really shine. Don't miss out on the food options either! The chef they have is really incredible. We came in one night for the dessert pizza and unfortunately they were out of strawberries. Rather than just make us order something else, the chef said to trust him. Which we are so glad we did. He created this pumpkin pie spiced pear pizza with mascarpone cream. It's been about two weeks since we've had it and we still talk about it almost daily. This pizza should be on the menu permanently. We love how close this place is to our house, within walking distance. Can't wait to see what they create here.

They are just starting out here at their new, 2nd location. I have been to the Pompano location numerous times, but this one is closer to home. It was a long anticipated opening. They still seem to be working out the kinks and finishing details. Their official grand opening, I was told, is on the 30th. I am hoping that with that, the finishing touches will make it as great as their other location. They didn't have as many beer options, it seemed only half of the taps were in use. You could also tell that the decor and interior weren't completely finished, or at least I think. One perk about this location is that they are serving food. I didn't try any, but the pizzas that went by me looked pretty good. I look forward to going back when it is more established. My overall experience was pretty good, I just hope they will get more beer (sour) options like their other location. I am also looking forward to the live music. It's definitely a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, it makes it even better to go brewery hopping.

My boyfriend and I love coming to Black Flamingo! Best craft beer, wings, and pizza in Oakland park! It is family owned, and the owners are very sweet and attentive. Very family friendly and we love the vibe. Highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend a place more! The people and staff are so friendly and helpful you couldn't find better people in South Florida. The beer is tasty and refreshing. The food is also out of this world! Magnolia Pizzas are out of this world! They have things happening throughout the week as well as specials. It is a clean and comfortable spot to sit at the bar or hang out with friends.

I was in the area for just one night and trying to find something near my Airbnb for dinner when I stumbled upon Black Flamingo. It seems their Grand Opening is actually tomorrow. I ordered a flight and then 1 full beer and enjoyed all of them. I also ordered one of their pizzas, the Magnolia. You can tell it's made fresh there and not out of some box by the taste alone. The crust was tasty and nicely toasted. Compared to another one of the larger "funky" breweries in the area, I would definitely come back here first. Solid choice if looking for good beer and good food.

Everything was amazing, from the beer, to the food, to the service. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The staff remembered us from last year! We arrived with two toddlers and were welcomed like family Beers are great, food is delicious! We had the smoked wings, taco trio and the Magnolia pizza- a wonderful combination of Brie, pear, arugula and truffle oil. I look forward to many return trips!!

This new brewery opened recently in Oakland Park. It's a nice spot with plenty of parking and great service staff! While we were there we saw they sometime have live music and also some food on their menu. We plan to return to check these out as well!

Oakland Park's newest brewery. Industrial vibe, with great beer. The owner came out to personally suggest different beers that matched our tastes. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. This was our second trip back and this time we had to bring some more people. The bar tender was awesome and engaged us in conversation. She was very friendly and funny. I definitely recommend trying this place. It's a great addition to Oakland Parks food and wine district.

This Black Flamingo brewery was a long wait, but those who wait are rewarded. The microbrewery offers a good variety from sours and lagers to double IPAs which is nice. They also have food, but I did not have a chance to try it. The bar has a pretty chill vibe and an industrial decor. I enjoyed the beers plus the server was very cool.

Have been here a few times for beers and a light bite. Stopped in for the new brunch today and tried the Shakshouka...so good! The bottomless beermosas didn't hurt either. Will 100% be back again!

Please support this fantastic new brewery. I've been to every brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale area and this one truly stands out. They have live music every Friday and Saturday behind the bar. The beers are great, my favorites are the Blonde Ale and the Pilsner. The owner is also so friendly and even sings a few songs with the musicians. Service is always great.

The staff was professional, exceedingly friendly, and knowledgeable. Their live entertainment was a surprise and delight, and we will return each time we visit Oakland Park. Great effort to ensure their patrons have a splendid time.

The food , drinks and atmosphere is really awesome! The service is amazing also! You can watch your sports here and enjoy a great beer brewed on premises! This place will not disappoint!

Be prepared to have your night ruined if you have any dietary restrictions. Ordered a SPECIFIC VEGETARIAN PIZZA, and they ADDED prosciutto on top of it... not a part of the menu they just did it because. Thanks for ruining my night I'm sure my partner loved throwing up that one slice they ate without knowing until I pointed it out. Do not go here. Aside from completely ruining my partners night, the food was mid at best. The pepperoni sticks were not good. The hummus was whatever. And one of the reviews said how the attention to detail was good here. I'd like to mention again the ADVERTISED VEGETARIAN PIZZA HAD PROSCIUTTO ON IT. Don't know how that slipped by your "attention to detail". But I guess it's true what they say. The south cannot do pizza my mistake for coming here. Won't make it again and I hope you don't either.

Amazing beers and drinks and the atmosphere is so much fun!! Stephanie and Andreas are amazing and so hospitality to everyone that comes thru the door. The pizza and bbq is also amazing!!

Home run! Andres is an amazing bartender/owner. He is super welcoming and explained the menu of beers to food. The pizza I had with pears and prosciutto is insane. Also, the Brisket sandwich is pretty much the best my husband ever ate... They have a great beer selection and I am extremely happy to know they serve wine, and a good range of wines, at that. I am so grateful to have this new home right next to my house. Coming back this evening for the live music and ribs!

Worst service I have ever had in 30 years. Stood at the bar as two bartenders passed by me multiple times without ever even acknowledging that they would be with me shortly. The bar was NOT busy at all that's why I am giving them one star. I had my credit card held up I was waiting for an extremely long period of time. I am a very reasonable and patient person but when I wait 15-20 mins for a beer without anyone acknowledging me then best believe I'm never coming back. If you are a new establishment YOU HAVE to acknowledge your customers ESPECIALLY when it is not busy at all it wasn't even 50% at capacity!!!!!!!

Great beer selection. Best wings we've had in a long time. They were very large and the sauces were tasty. TVs in great locations at the bar. Customer service is great.

The Oakland Park location is a fiasco. Half empty but still ludicrously under-staffed, terrible service, beers off cos they ran out of CO2, overcharged and the place echoes hellishly. The beers we had were great though - just wish we'd gone to the other location.

Great atmosphere all around we went on a night where there was a live band and the music was top notch. Definitely felt family friendly and the food and beer did not miss! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Would definitely recommend for a fun date night or even for the whole family. Also appeared to be family owned and you can see the owners are very much involved and present throughout the brewery.

Beer, pizza and atmosphere was incredible! Honestly, myself and my husband consider ourselves pizza connoisseurs, and Andres pizza did not disappoint. His passion for all things beer and food was inspiring. If you're looking for a great place to drink beer and eat great food in a comfortable and fun atmosphere...this is your spot! ENJOY!

Great spot for friends and family. The live music was just right, the food was tasty for the family, cozy ambiance. Check it out! we did go even with the dogs and no one told us anything.. They give you water and treats for them!! I love this place. super friendly.
