Black Forest Brewing Company

We have been wanting to visit this brewery for a week now! It was worth the wait! Becky gave Impeccable service. Very knowledgeable about the beers with speedy service. The beers were great. I had the black forest Red Ale It paired very well with the spicy braut. Great mountain atmosphere! It is definitely worth the visit.

OMG! What a beer! What a quality! Black Forest IPA is a golden classic. Apricot shandy and Strawberry spice IPA are amazing. Highly recommended. Good job folks!

I decided to ride down here on a nice day and have a beer as I have never been. Was able to come in around 2pm and get a beer at the bar and a spot to sit at right away. The place wasn't too crowded and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The beer I had was good, it was the Shade Tree Apricot. I did not have any food with my order but it seemed that they do food as there was a sandwich board out front with writing about brats. There was also a food truck outside in the parking lot and someone at the table behind me had pizza. The bartender was very plesant and the staff seemed friendly but besides the ordering of the beer, interaction with staff was minimal. Only reason for 3 stars is that after I got my beer and sat down, no one ever approached me to see if I wanted anything else, even as my beer was near empty. Honestly, I don't think anyonewho was there was approached even though there were numerous people who seemed they worked there. I probably would have ordered another or an appetizer if they did. I will be back for another beer and will see if the experience is any different and will update as needed.

Tried this local brewery, yummy beer the strawberry blonde was delicious!!! They have a local food truck but not really any food which is a bummer! Parking would be tight on weekdays when other businesses are open.

While visiting family in the black forest area we stopped in the black forest brewing company for trivia night. I had a strawberry blonde. It was really good. The atmosphere was super relaxed and the Staff was very friendly. A food truck was in the parking lot which was really good also.

Stopped briefly at Black Forest Brewing Company for some brews. Their Red was outstanding, with a subtle nutty undertone enhancing its flavor—exactly how a Red should taste! While chatting with the bartender, we learned they're setting up tents for a two-day Oktoberfest event, complete with lumberjack games, music, and more. If only we had more time for another round or two and to join in on the festivities!

Stopped here for our first beer in Colorado. what a great find. We had the Apricot ale and it was super tasty. We ended up buying a crowler to bring home with us.

First time in and Love the Vienna beer and the bar, but the staff (of one) was absolutely overwhelmed with 42-1 ratio. The poor bartender was simply slammed. It's marginal management to have 1 employee on staff on a busy Saturday afternoon....

No food is served here but they do have food trucks in the parking lot. We had two flights of beer & tried a number of their beers. We loved them all!! The staff were amazing!! They sat down at our table with us to help us make our tasting choices! Such a fun, friendly place! Very welcoming & cozy.

It's been a while since I made the trip up to this brewery. Last time I had a flag stolen off my recumbent, while not at all the pubs fault, it did sour me on coming up. Anyway it's Oktoberfest so I decided to come up. The are decked out for Oktoberfest. Tent outside and beers of the season. A food truck (biggi's) for food. I knew they were expanding, doubled the space since my last visit. They now have a large space. The Oktoberfest beer I had was good. At times the service was a little slow ***but I believe this was because it was slammed for the festival*** Anyway I peddle to many of the brewpubs around town and I think I'll add Black Forest brewery back to my list

Fun local brewery. The Irish Red is very popular but the winter flavor flight was a great date item. The German food truck was great, it's what convinced us to come out. Kid friendly.

My new favorite go to. Bartenders Tim and Linda are super pleasant, makes you feel at home. Cameron is another that I have met and has shown himself to be very friendly and informative. The beer list is broad which really caters to all of my interests and tastes. Generally a more relaxed and quiet establishment each of the times I've been. Often they have food trucks and events inside though, but I haven't been while they were doing either.

This place is always great, Erica is on it always friendly, attentive and welcoming. Great brews to choose from and warm pretzels. Nice atmosphere and some outdoor seating as well. I return here every time I am in the Black Forest visiting family. It is a must to visit.

This has become our local go to brewery. Great selection of beers for a small brewery. And apparently the secret's out because this place is packed! Wife is a fan of the fruit beers and the kolsch style, I am a huge fan of the Bistro Brown and the red ale. They have rotating food trucks, our favorites are biggi's and Pizzarte, but haven't had a bad one. You can bring your own food too (i have seen someone get door dash there). The outdoor seating on a Sunday afternoon is great. It can get a bit noisy on one side of the brewery where a local running club meets on sundays.

Outstanding service and ambiance. The food was good too. I loved the choice of brews and the ability to order a sampler "platter".

Beer was tasty. Service was brutal. Bartender did not have the best hospitality service. Took us 30 minutes to flag a waitress down.

Best beer in Colorado!!! We have loved coming here since we moved to Black Forest. The owners are so friendly and it's a fun place to be!

There's nothing like a fantastic brew house in a very rural , local location. Very traditional and had some great choices for beer. What was even better was that my wife does not light beer but they also have wine. The service was top notch very friendly. Will definitely be back

I love this brewery. Great selection. Lots of taps. Side room for sports tvs. Main room for drinking and conversation. Staff is knowledge about beer and capable. They have food trucks now. If you're a beer fan, especially european beer, this place is a must.

Stopped in yesterday, and what a disappointment. Guy behind the bar was not friendly or welcoming. He seemed put off and annoyed we had questions about the beers. Hazy IPA was pretty bad, couldn't even finish it. Will not return. Get it together.. hire people that smile, welcome and appreciate your business!

Great local beer in the forest that currently has an Imperial Jalapeño Cream Ale that I cannot get enough of! Some of the friendliest servers around and a great food truck rotation!

Amazing beer along with a family friendly atmosphere. New beers are always rotating on tap. Definitely a brewery you must check out!

Great beer selection and I highly recommend the pretzel sticks! If you're looking for a great spot with great beer and a German flair then this is the spot!

Great place, great beer! We were lucky to get there when they tapped the apricot blonde. Yummm! The goulash was great too!

The beer selection is great, cute and cozy spot, a perfect date night place for drinking. The food is light beer food and snacks so if your hungry you may want to eat dinner somewhere else, but you will definitely enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere!

This is a great spot. I go a lot of places all over, I'm not sure the people who gave these spot low reviews go out much. Great beer, friendly people, and a lovely spot. First time here and felt welcomed and happy with it

A wonderful find in Black Forest. Totally worth checking out for the great atmosphere, friendly staff and plentiful beer choices. Reminds me of an Asheville or Douseldorf brew house, but way friendlier. Not too many food choices but the three things we tried were delicious.. the Rueben, the brat and the ham sandwich were all good, and I will be back especially for the German potato salad.

All I have to say is Amanda is the goat, the beer is fantastic , great pricing, and it seems to only attract good people. 6/5 would recommend.

Wow, hidden gem in our Colorado forest! The beers were tremendous, food was outstanding, but the service was EXCEPTIONAL (Ben was awesome!). We'll be back, we love the rural feel with urban amenities!

As a local I'm here about 2 times a month. Noticing more and more the staff is lazy. It's really starting to irritate me and friends who accompany me. No service! Even when they are not busy. You have to chase down your own drink. We were in there on November 15th at 8:15pm. Place was pretty slow. So slow, only 4 other people at the bar. All had been served. We waited at the bar for over 10 minutes for service. Again, had to go track staff down. Two light haired female staff on this particular night. Then, we got attitude when one of our drink orders was wrong. Not happy!

Always enjoy our visits here. Very good selection and our server has always been very friendly and helpful. One of our favorite places to go on a Saturday afternoon.

expensive & loud. not a locals place. seemed full of yuppies. :(
