Place is super adorable, great vibes. The server was really nice as well. The food on the other hand was not good unfortunately. The waffles are the only thing that was ok. Home fries looked burned but were slightly hard inside, not fully cooked. The French toast and pancakes tasted microwaved, and the sausage was very salty.

Super cute spot with great decor. I had the standard breakfast. Over medium eggs had a perfect taste. I was very pleased with them. The bacon was not as good as I was expecting. Lacking a bit in flavor and very greasy mouth feel. The potatoes were, in my opinion, over seasoned. Too many things going on there. Same stuff in a smaller amount would have gone a lot further. The pancake was not my favorite. It's cinnamon and lacked fluffiness and flavor. Service was okay.

Small, eclectic cafe off the highway that gives major Silver Lake vibes. Came here on a Sunday afternoon in a group of six and got seated after a five minute wait. We sat outside but there’s plenty of indoor seating as well. There’s a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant and there are gender neutral bathrooms with grab bars available. The staff was nice and took our drink orders once we were seated. While the cocktails were good, you don’t really get a buzz. The Irish coffee wasn’t strong and the cider mimosa just tasted like apple cider. The food took about 30 minutes to come out, which was in line with what other patrons have reported. The French toast is made with a croissant which was interesting, but it skimped one the berries and bananas. It was sliced into two but the bottom had the unmixed egg on the bottom. The syrup came on the side and there’s powdered sugar as well. For the Belgian waffle, it was an extra $1 for strawberries but there were only 6 cut slices added. However the pecan butter was really smooth and creamy. The waffle was decent but a little burnt. There are salads as well if you’re trying to be healthier but it’s pretty heavy on the dressing so you may want to ask for it on the side. Overall it’s a friendly spot with reasonably priced food, but the taste is pretty standard and for some, it may be out of the way.

Black Magic Cafe is a cute spot to grab a bite. Really colorful and inviting. It's pet friendly, which is completely awesome. I don't know about lizards or birds but definitely dogs. The parking is a little on the tight side if they get busy but don't let that discourage you. Food was decent but not great. Drinks, however, were fantastic. I was in town for a mini vacation and noticed there was at least 1 other location so I'm sure they're all about the same. I'd probably return if I was in town again and maybe sit inside next time instead of the patio.

The pictures don't do this place justice. It is WAY BETTER in real life! The ambiance is amazing and the signs encompassing the walls keep your eyes entertained the entire time! The Lattes and Chai Teas put the best coffee shops to shame! And each breakfast plate we had was delivered with picturesque platting. Every bite was savory and delicious. And the coffee mugs! omg, the coffee mugs (or latte mug in my case) is HUGE! This is seriously one of the best breakfast places I've eaten at during this Spring Break trip.

The places is wonderful, and very colorful. But they took too long to serve the food, like 30 min for something easy to cook. And when I have my egg and cheese bagel the egg looked like it was fried in an old oil, the fruits where old too. Were dirty.

One of my favorite places on James Island!! Love the variety and interesting Twist on their sandwiches and other dishes that make them unique. Food is delicious! Coffee is great and service is always wonderful. Super cute Cafe with great outdoor seating area that's shaded for those hot summer months.

Quirkiest place I’ve been to so far. All menu items have sort of a twist in them. I’d never had breakfast tacos and absolutely loved them! The beverages are top notch as well. My wife and I even had a lot of fun reading different signs and quotes on the walls. Great staff, great place, would love to visit again soon when I’m in the area.
