Black Mesa Travel Center And Restaurant

It's an ok stop to use the bathroom and sleep. I did not try the restaurant or casino or purchase anything because God forbid we let our dog stretch her legs without a leash and play. Mind you we were way back in the dirt lot where no one was around, no animals and we have control of our 10 yr old heeler mix. It would have been nice to stretch our legs too and enjoy the beautiful scenery a bit after traveling 7 hrs hours to get to this spot. Security had other plans for us so we did what good truck drivers do and just stayed in our truck...

This is my favorite place to have huevos rancheros. The green chile has the heat I crave. The service is friendly and the place looks nice. I always stop here on my way to Albuquerque.

The young lady who sat us and the young man who waited on us were very nice. Other than that, don't waste your time or money. We shared a large biscuits and gravy and a side(4 pieces) of bacon. Gravy had no taste, white, no meat. Biscuits were tasteless. Bacon was ok. Coffee? Bitter, very bitter! The only reason I'm taking the time to write a review is to help you decide to avoid this place!

Great stop to potty and get snacks on the way to Santa Fe. This place has it all. All the snacks and drinks you can want. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place is always very busy. They have breakfast burritos that are wonderful and I saw lots of cute gift options. They also have locally made items that I really like. I got a handmade mask last time I stopped.

I have mixed reviews about this place. Night shift employees deserve a 5 star review they were wonderful. But the morning shift with their attitudes and the fact that they chose not to open the doors in the back ( the trucker entrance) until 7 am is beyond disappointing. Why do you have truck parking and an entrance if you are just going to make it where customers have to walk around to the front until you decide to unlock the doors 3 hours after you open. They also list having a laundry room but that’s also not open until then, atleast do your customers a favor and post a sign indicating the back doors open later.

This is one of the best travel centers in New Mexico. It’s very clean and a big in size compared to other travel centers. It has a gas station, a big convenience store, a mini casino that is patrol by a security, laundromat, a restaurant, lottery is sold there but only cash, and has big restrooms. All your needs in one stop if you heading north or if you going south. Everyone is friendly and helpful! The sopapillas are must and made when you order so there always fresh.

Truck stop with lots of parking and walking Distance to the casino next door. They have slots and hot food that comes out from the kitchen like Breakfast burritos. Then whatever the kitchen puts out at night it's different. Truck diesel at the fuel island. Truckers lounge and showers

I really don't believe I am reviewing a gas station, but why not. This place is pretty epic. Prices are low and it always seems super busy. On occasion, I buy black coffee coffee here, but last time i decided to have one of their burritos. Holy frick, it was so delicious with a touch of heat added from the green chili's. It isn't a buccees, but this place has some delicious food. Staff is fairly friendly here too.

Another gas stop located on an Indian Pueblo. Gas is super cheap as they do not pay taxes. Gas was a bargain. The travel center was huge with friendly staff. It's definitely late now and just up the road is our stop .

Not to be too direct, this food is horrible, wrong make the mistake of eating at the restaurant in the travel center again. My dog got the steak minis 2 bites...I had to try one more bite because I didn't think the steak could be that bad, but I was wrong it was. Ordered fried zucchini, burnt and they didn't give me my ranch , the tacos were only edible because I had left over taco bell sauce, and some cheese in the fridge. The tamales, are under so much lettuce and stuff that I can't put the chili over them...and got some reason I got some beans with my food. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, won't happen

Ga was inexpensive here, relatively speaking, but the pumps were crazy busy. Don't pull off here if you are just waning to make a phone call or send a text though as there is no cell reception in this valley. I mentioned this to the guy behind the counter who jokingly said "That's the white man or you, still gaping us natives down." I was amused as he was white as could be. The bathrooms were cleanish I suppose. Plenty of drinks and snacks are available.

The food was good (recommended the honey bread) The service was sweet And the atmosphere is good

This is a nice travel center which includes a gas station and a small dinner and an adjunct to a small casino area that has a security posted at the door at all times. The station looks clean and customer service is great. The staff is really nice and helpful overall. The sopapillas are delicious and cooked when you order. Prices are reasonable and affordable. They also sell lottery tickets at Thai location.

We always stop here for gas early in the morning if we are traveling North of Albuquerque. Cheap gas, clean restrooms. And tried for the first time the green chile cheeseburger and a huge corn dog. What a pleasant surprise. They were next to the grab and go burritos which we usually get and are also tasty. But this was right on time.

Not a bad mid sized truck stop, service was a bit cold in the store. Restaurant was nothing special. Food was good but nothing to brag about. Ordered chili cheese fries and assumed I was getting normal chili on it but it came out with a chili red sauce ( wasn't very good! Don't recommend). Country fried steak was good ( had better had worse) but nothing tasted like it was made in house! Potatoes tasted like Bob Evans from the store. In all take it or leave it.

I'm a truck driver and was tired and approaching the end of my day. I wasn't looking forward to battling for a parking space at the decidedly sketchy truck stops in Albuquerque so I decided to stop here instead. I'm really glad I did! There's plenty of parking for big trucks in back with pull through spots that make your life easy. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the store is very well stocked, with plenty of grocery items to restock your fridge in addition to the usual truck stop junk food. I also used their laundry, which was spotless. In addition, they have a lounge, showers, a small casino with slot machines (and a larger casino across the way), and a restaurant, though I didn't try any of those. This spot is one I'll definitely remember when I'm running I-25. It's a great option for a place to spend the night or just to stop along your way.

We needed a place to stop for the night with our rv. Saw the casino and thought we would stay. They had a charge just to overnight stay ( usually casinos don't have a problem because you go in and eat, gamble, etc). So, the

Decent food decent prices better than I expected at a travel center. For me it was nothing amazing but it's a great place to stop for a quick bite that isn't expensive and better than fast food. Service was also good the staff was friendly and you can seat yourself. The green chile was hotter than the red but I did enjoy both. Until I try more on the menu and test consistency I will update my review.

This place is fantastic! The food is always delicious and the service is great! I highly recommend the country fried steak! The prices are decent too!

You know a place is delicious when you are willing to drive over 30 minutes out of town to eat here. They've recently renovated! Even the menu got an update. I'm very pleased with my Indian taco! Perfect fry bread! P.s. the green Chile was super spicy today! (Even for a New Mexican!)

Worst customer service ever! We got there and no acknowledged us when we walked in. We had to ask if we could seat ourselves. After we got a table no one came to bring us menus other our drink order, we had to get up and ask for menus. After about 10min we had to find someone to come and take our order. No common courtesy from the staff.

I used to love this place but it's changed. I can't remember the last time I have had service as bad as I did yesterday. The waitress was surly. She barked at us like she was doing us a favor by allowing us to eat there. Portions have gone WAY down, and I could barely taste the chile on our huevos rancheros. We were going to stay and gamble, but the fact that someone like this is allowed to interface with customers left us both wanting to not give them any more of our hard earned money.. my advice? Stay as far away from this place as possible!

The food is bland, but great if you're on a no salt diet. Good luck if your waitress actually gives a hoot.
