Inside the Vegetarian Takeout Tasting Menu at Oyster Oyster in D.C. | Eater DC

"The team collaborated with Black Narrows Brewing Company in Chincoteague, Virginia to create an umami-flavored beer for the bar program, part of broader plans to introduce draft cocktails that reuse scraps from the kitchen." - Tierney Plumb

Very chill place, together with the next door seafood store, Salts Seafood, where you can order seafood snacks like oysters, shrimps, or clams. Their seafood boils come with a corn, sausages, and corns. Their outdoor space was nice next to beer tanks and the canning machine, which was really cool to see even it was not processing at the time. The indoor space is like a small wooden cabin and cozy. Their beer selection is good, and is not too many to overwhelm you. My favorite might have been "How Bout It" (corn lager), which came in a slightly different glassware, and I saw many guests having the same one. The most of restaurants on the island close early, and it was nice to find a place we could swing by past 8pm (however, the Salts Seafood closed at 8 on time of our visit, so your snack options may be limited). I think this place is even more friendlier to kids than many other breweries, as they had a basket full of toys and board games, and they also had a kids menu.

We stopped just as they opened. We tried the longboard which was tasty and a great snack for two people. The oyster place next door is temporarily closed. Lots of beer choices for those that drink beer like my husband, but nothing for those that don't. They did have soda, so that was ok. But cute atmosphere for a brewery. We stayed inside because of the heat. Plenty of seating.

Good beers and a nice variety of selection (they had a saison, lager, ales - IPA, red, sour, etc - dark lager, porter, and naturally an oyster stout). This is a lovely, relaxing place to stop in for an afternoon drink. Order inside and clean after yourself. The outdoor seating (picnic tables) is comfortable and quiet; despite being just yards away from Maddox, it *felt* out-of-the-way. The large pretzel comes warm and served with honey mustard and a kind of upscale French's style yellow mustard. There's a place just next door you can get a sampler of the local fresh oysters, which also go well with the beers. Try a flight if you can't decide. The Plover lager, the corn lager, the red and the sour ales, and the coffee stout were our table's favorites. The aesthetic is light and airy. Decor spare and well chosen. Bathroom has a changing table, so it must be okay to bring your little one. You can't buy the beer to go here, but it's available at local shops. I found this spot to be a really nice break from the beach town feel and left recharged. Will definitely visit again!

Fun little brewery on Chincoteague Island. We stopped in while on a day trip to the island. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, and there was a food truck available the day we were there. The beer was decent. Certainly a place we could spend an afternoon when in the area.

The only brewery on or around the island, that being said, they are awesome. They beer selection will appeal to many taste and I would put their Salty at the top of my list for oyster flavored brews. Their IPAs have distinct flavors and can easily be distinguished. For fans of dark beers you will relish their stout and dark lager. The establishment is clean and new. The staff is friendly and talkative. Very little on food menu and it is pricey for what it is. Beers will be around $6.

Since I'm around the island, I decided to stop by here with a co-worker since I think he would love it and it would be great company especially with a little booze to relax a bit. I also saw that they had a beer flight so it was a plus. When i tried this beer called "Salts," I was amazed. The notes said something about lemon after taste and the taste of oysters and let me tell you that drinking this light beer, it definitely reminded me of eating oysters!!! When I was out on the island again, I decided to come back again along with a few more co-workers. If you're on the island, this place is a must visit. Not a lot of place to park in this area though so carpool with your buddies if you must. Service was good although it can get busy. They got little events posted on their Facebook page.

This is the first craft brewery on Virginia's Eastern Shore and it's awesome. The indoor space has some fun seating with TV's but we opted to sit outside on the patio. It was fun to try their flight (they let you choose whatever samples you want) and sip on their special, the stout, which tasted like coffee and dark chocolate. It's a kid-friendly kind of place and the parking was easy. It gets a 10/10 in my book.

Place looks like its up and coming. Stopped in for an IPA, which was fine. Interesting brews to consider, such as one somehow brewed with oysters and a corn based brew. Regrettably I brought bbq to eat and didn’t realize the seafood was right next door. The shrimp, clams and oysters being eaten nearby looked awesome. Outdoor areas are lacking character and fans.
