We used to go to this location for weekend coffee breaks. I’m not sure if the owner changed or what happened, but after not being able to visit for a few months, we finally returned. It was early morning, and the place was surprisingly dirty—there was trash on the floor and dirty tables. There were at least 3-4 young people behind the counter, all welcoming and friendly. The coffee is always good, but the level of cleanliness was concerning. As the sunlight streamed in, you could see the dust on the air. Never went back since then.

I came here today and love this place! The vibes are great and the wall decor is beautiful and amazing art. The seats are also really cool and pretty hip. The design all together was pretty awesome and upbeat rather than a chill and draining regular coffee shop. What I noticed about this place was that there was groups of friends and family that also came here to hang out and catch up and joke around. So the vibes and atmosphere are amazing here! The lady and gentlemen (Daniel) that were here working were super kind and friendly as well! Definitely great customer service! Yall should come check this place out if you're in the area! Daniel made me some kind of peach tea and it's amazing!!! Tastes wonderful!!

Ordered a Medium Blackout coffee, came out to $6+ with taxes and they even ask for a tip on keypad? You crazy no. when I grabbed it drove off it felt way too light and empty, I look inside and sure enough it was 1/2 full, the coffee was just mediocre average can make a better one at home. Overpriced average coffee 1/2 full ask for tips, greatest scam ever. Keep it moving.

This place is mediocre. Their only thing to boast on is a “modern” aesthetic. But their coffee?? Horrendous. I could have made a better cup at home and saved myself the $15 and gas it took to get here. I ordered the nitro cold brew, it was sub par. My boyfriend got an espresso. Everything was pretty meh. I would suggest getting your coffee somewhere else. It was too over priced to justify any of it.

Great place for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

Google
Good coffee and love that it is open fairly late. Whoever the long-haired bro who was working seemed like he was running the late shift well and was really nice!

Amazing spot! I went on the grand opening day and everything was efficiently planned. Every staff member was great from the sign spinners to the traffic directors to the drive thru order takers and finally to the person at the window. And to top off the great employees you get a great coffee too. I recommend the caramel blondie. My experience was a 10/10 and this might have to be my new favorite coffee spot in the Katy-Fulshear area.

Yelp
I normally drink black coffee and enjoy the atmosphere here, but on one occasion wanted something a little extra special. The barista was so helpful and suggested a hot Mexican mocha specifically made with oat milk. The best way I can describe the taste is like a homemade warm chocolate chip oatmeal cookie, perfect when you need a little extra love in your cup. Now I crave it more than I'd like to :)

Yelp
This place is amazing!! I love the quiet environment and the silly trashcan that wandered into the middle of the bathroom!! An amazing place to study as well!

Yelp
Love this place - great working area. Spent many afternoons grinding away. There's been times when the music is a bit on the distracting end it's hard to concentrate (though this is not the norm). I have approached the workers, and they have turned it down on occasion. The food selection is OK; not much to rave about - ordered a croissant once and meh! at best. I'm here for the drinks mostly. They always have some specials that make the $$ hit for a coffee drink, not as intense. The drinks can be a bit on the sweet side, but probably mention it before the drink is served.

Yelp
I love ordering the iced blonde, pumpkin blonde (fall time), and peppermint (winter time)! Yes, the drinks are overpriced but I'd rather go here than Starbucks. The staff is always super friendly. I go so often that I've gotten the free drinks either 2 or 3 times. I've also worked here twice - love the vibe inside the store and their long desks by the bathroom.

Yelp
We went to their grand opening this afternoon (July 29) and they were super well organized, especially with their promo of FREE DRINKS today. They had lots of workers directing traffic, holding promotional signs, and taking orders outside. Despite the horrendous heat, they were all in good spirits. The line also moved amazingly fast. Maybe less ten minutes? We were able to get a free drink for everyone in the car (two adults and two kids). They didn't have all of their smoothie flavors available today, so we will definitely be back to try the other flavors, but I think they have most of their other drinks ready for today. The blended coffee drinks were delicious and sweet, but you could definitely taste the coffee, unlike some other places thatnjust tastes sweet with barely any coffee taste. The smoothies were fresh and thick, which confused our kids at first, since they are used to the melted or watered down versions of smoothies. Lol. Overall, would definitely recommend! We will be back for sure!

Yelp
In a word. Disappointing. Ordered a cold brew. Splash of cream. Size medium. Price is way over priced at 5.30 after tax. The coffee itself has ZERO flavor. I'm not sure if its overly diluted or if it's under brewed. Or if it's just an off day. The staff was friendly and prompt (hence the 2 star review). Overall very underwhelming. It's hard to think about coming back for a second attempt anytime soon especially with so many other coffee shops nearby with better and more reasonable pricing.

Yelp
I love black rock coffee bar and always have a good experience at all locations. The staff is very nice and sweet. I also get points which helps you get free coffee. I can be a bit overprice but so Starbucks. Their energy drinks are amazing and they will accommodate your needs. Tuesday's they have staff and students discounts and they let me buy a couple drinks for my fellow staff members for the price of $3.00 and just asked my school ID.

Yelp
Everyone here is super friendly and kind. Quality of speciality drinks has gone significantly, most of the time it tastes like a milk drink with a splash of coffee, other times it tastes great so I guess it depends on which barista is making your drink. If there was more consistency with the taste of the drinks (lattes, mochas, etc) this would be a 5 star review

Yelp
The BEST! hands down! We love Black Rock! The atmosphere is alive and thriving, the baristas are happy! So nice to see in this town

Yelp
Was looking for a Starbucks alternative since I dont want to support them for union busting and way overcharging for coffee. Turns out Black Rock is just as shady with their pricing. A medium soy latte costs over $7 here--- which means the same drink is a dollar more expensive here than Starbucks. On top of that, they are putting asking for tips every time you swipe your card--- PAY YOUR FRICKIN EMPLOYEES--- IF YOU ARE CHARGING $7 FOR MEDIUM LATTE, YOU CAN AFFORD IT. never coming here again. i will find somewhere else. For anyone who doesnt know, coffee costs less than a dollar (even with whatever fancy milk you choose). So when they upcharge this much, it is over 800% the cost to make it. That is bullshit.

Yelp
Friendly staff , and rapid service!! Have visited over 9 times well mostly through the drive thru but a great experience nevertheless

Yelp
The staff are unbelievably rude. I was told I could use my student discount and when I pulled up to the window, I was talking to a whole different employee that charged me full price. She said "Oh well" and stared at me. I asked her to please get someone who could correct this and she just stared at me and said "Fine, I will have to refund you and charge you again". She did not want to give me a receipt to show the refund. She did not even ask me my number so I could get rewards. I then reluctantly asked to speak to someone in charge because I could not believe the way she was talking to me. She said Devon was gone. I asked when he would be back and she shrugged. I am more sad than mad. I can't believe they treat customers this way.

Yelp
Love Black Rock's coffee and hot chocolate... And their cranberry orange muffins are awesome. Today I stopped by and was extremely disappointed that I was served lukewarm coffee (from the drive-thru) and, when I tried to call express my disappointment to management, have been unsuccessful finding a working phone number. I don't appreciate paying a high price for coffee when it's cold before I can finish drinking it.

Yelp
Always great service! The tall gentleman at the window has a great personality, friendly service! The pumpkin blonde is a hit!
