The customer service is always excellent. I've ordered online, in the drive-thru, and in the store. The service is consistent each time. I like the variety of beverages to select from to include shakes, tea, coffee, smoothies, and fuel drinks. Additionally, there are food and snack items to choose from. On top of that, there is a rewards club where you can stack up points. It has been an overall great experience thus far. Cheers to the staff.

Google
First time here! Ordered an iced matcha latté and egg bites. Both were great. Person who took my order was super friendly and helpful with the questions I had. The atmosphere is great and there were several people there working or studying. Will definitely be back!

Google
Ever since the management change that has happened they have gone down hill. They are inconsistent with orders. They are ALWAYS running out of the regular fuel leaving people to choose between their organic/sugar free options. Which is a supply /inventory miscalculation because it’s every week. The new workers for the drive thru are constantly mishearing or misunderstanding what people are ordering, I was an every day stopper but now I hardly go because every time I do go I’m met with this disappointment.

Google
Very nice, and fast drive through!! Delicious coffee, this was my first visit and I got a large blended Mexican mocha. SO GOOD!! Definitely should check them out!!

Google
They are open for business. This place looks really cool, giant murals cover some walls with sputnik style lights all over, lots of barn wood on some walls. My wife got a great frozen blended thingy while I enjoyed a hot cappuccino. I'll post a plethora of pics for your enjoyment. I bought a bag of whole beans and they were very good, I don't know if it's normal procedure but there's no roast date on the bag.

Google
Shaken espresso was great. I found this spot unexpected and turned out it was chic and style coffee shop / coffee bar. I did not try bakery but definitely they smell very buttery and good. I love outdoor seating where I can enjoy chilly sunny weather. Love to be back one day soon!

Google
This is my usual go to coffee place when I’m in Pearland, but today when I went was terrible. Not because of the staff and their work but the conditions they have to be in. I thought the ac was broken because of how hot it was inside, but when I mentioned the ac to the staff they informed me that they weren’t allowed to adjust the ac and that the policy is to have it 5° lower than outside temperature. Who ever decided that needs to be fired. It’s 95° outside. Making your staff work in 90° temperatures is inhumane and should not be allowed. Treat your employees better.

Google
Three stars for service and atmosphere. Service was very helpful, hope they newness doesn’t wear off- the music was nice and loud like we like it, and the decor vibrant! We tried the caramel blondie iced and blended. Both were underwhelming. They contain lots of milk and cream & we couldn’t taste the coffee. The blended one was very bland but the caramel helped.

Yelp
This was a good store when it first opened. Now it's my last option for coffee. I've driven through Wendy's next door more often than I have this BR in the last 6 months. Why? 1, they've changed POS systems probably 2x since opening and lost all of my rewards. Hundreds of dollars in coffee rewards lost. 2, they stopped asking for rewards during this handover, so there was a lot of expensive coffee bought that never gets credited towards rewards. The staff didn't even ask, nor explain to customers that the POS rewards was down, so it made them seem apathetic. 3, their staff NEVER knows any of their menu items from the website. I always get a Dark Knight. I've had to explain it to every single BR staff over the last year. It's exhausting and it makes the staff seem lazy and uninterested. 4, their food selection is poor. Really, the only reason I came here is because they had sugar free energy drinks, but now there are better stores with better service, like 7 Brews.

Yelp
This coffee chain provides a vibrant and upbeat atmosphere wherever it goes. Out of all the neighborhoods in the Houston metro area, Black Rock probably adds to Pearland's diversity the most since the area mainly consists of tranquil-themed shops. It's not as chaotic as the location in Webster (that's a good thing) but still manages to dodge the monotonous cookie-cutter feel of something like Starbucks. I'm not a coffee drinker. I hang out at coffee shops to try their non-caffeinated menu and get work done. Their passionfruit shaken iced tea ($3.90 for a small) serves well as a refreshing drink with only a modest level of sweetness. If I'm craving something with more texture and am willing to shell out a little more money, I opt for the strawberry smoothie which gets the same job done. A+ for a solid environment across the board: friendly employees, medium noise level music, clean area, and great drinks at a reasonable price.

Yelp
Super sweet staff and a great place to chill and work. There are lots of seating options here WITH outlets available to keep your laptop or other electronics powered up. Today I ordered a large iced vanilla latte for myself and a small strawberry smoothie for my kiddo! No complaints from either one of Us. Our drinks tasted great and the experience was pleasant. I was able to send some emails on the free WiFi available and my kiddo played her iPad. The place wasn't too crowded, most people ordered drinks to go or used the drive thru option. The overall design and wall art was creative and fun! I will definitely come back! Happy Yelping.

Yelp
Love the inviting fresh coffee smell every morning. For some strange reason Yelp was showing that the they will open at 9 am as against 6 am, but I went anyway and it Was open Tried the Irish Cream Breve and loved it. You have two options- hot or cold and I got the hot. Suger and cream comes added like the name kinda suggests and its really good. Service as always is fast and friendly and Ambiance that early in the morning with some nice songs playing, really puts u in a good mood.

Yelp
Great place to stop by and get caffeinated and also get some work done. If only the Wi-Fi could take some of that caffeine as it's a tad slow from my experience but don't let that detract you from here. I've enjoyed the drinks here. I mainly get the lattes. Their specialty drinks sound good, and I would like to try them.

Yelp
I finally visited this Black Rock Coffee Bar. I remember seeing it being built and always thought it looked AMAZING. Upon entering, my thoughts were correct, I LOVE the look of the interior: White subway tile, rugged wood, bright funky wall art, unique lighting. There were multiple areas to sit: high tops, large tables with seating for maybe 8, etc. The noise level was ok. Wasn't quiet-quiet but wasn't overly loud either. We were able to maintain a conversation without being uncomfortable. The worker was friendly. I'm not a fancy coffee drinker so I ordered a medium decaf Americano and my friend ordered a medium hot caramel blondie. The odd part was, when our order was up, my cup was tiny. I think I was given a small. I had planned to ask but my friend and I were in such deep conversation that I ended up forgetting to ask. I wasn't given a receipt so I don't know if I was charged for a small or medium. The total came to $10-something. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our drinks. I actually enjoyed Black Rock more than Starbucks.

Yelp
One of my favorite Pearland Yelpers (Tiffany J) frequents this spot alot, so naturally, we had to have a coffee hangout here at some point. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. I did notice the drive thru stayed busy throughout our visit. The inside is nice and modern with plenty of seating. There are a few small tables and two large community style seating areas. I saw a table playing board games, not sure if they got it there. The music was on point, almost felt like I was in the club! I've only visited one of their other locations and ordered the hot Caramel Blondie. I had just came from a pretty rich lunch and wanted something sweet and dessert like, so they suggested a blended Caramel Blondie. I'm not usually a frappe kind of guy, but this drink was everything I was hoping for. It was just the right amount of sweet for me and was perfectly blended without and chunks of ice. The mix of caramel and white mocha was delicious and very satisfying. They have a nice variety of drinks like hot or cold coffees, teas, chillers, energy drinks and so on. They also have small amount of pastries as well. Overall, great spot that I can see myself coming back to!

Yelp
Descent coffee shop in pearland. The store was understaffed and caused longer wait times. The store is very nice and hip. It's a cool and clean place to chill or grab a coffee to go.

Yelp
TL;DR: I absolutely love this place! I'm so excited that my favorite coffee chain is in Pearland! I have been looking forward to this store opening for the past two weeks. I knew it was going to be crazy on opening day, especially when they posted on IG that they were serving free drinks all day so I was prepared to wait. They had fun upbeat music playing and the atmosphere was buzzing. My default drink is the Iced Caramel Blondie. It's so freaking good! I've also had the Summer Blondie (new seasonal drink), Mexican Mocha, Horchata (seasonal), Blackout, and the Caramel Truffle. The Blackout and the Caramel Truffle have chocolate milk which is an interesting twist. You can definitely tell that it's chocolate milk. All of the drinks that I have tried have been really good, but nothing beats the Caramel Blondie. I've never had a hot drink, coffeeless drink, or any of the chillers...until today. I'm such a creature of habit, but I decided to try the Caramel Blondie Chiller since it was free! It was so good, especially in this heat! It tasted just like the Iced Carmel Blondie Latte. One thing I love about Black Rock is consistency! The drinks always taste the same and the staff is always so nice! I've been to three locations around Houston and one in Austin and the drinks and service have been consistent every single time. The drive thru was crazy long, but the staff seemed to have it pretty organized. I had already planned to go inside so I could check out the décor. They have cool murals on the walls and the light fixtures and subway tile are similar to the location in Clear Lake. There's a good amount of tables inside, but I don't recall seeing any outdoor seating. It was sensory overload though so I may have overlooked it. The line was long, but it went by relatively quick. It took about 15 minutes from the time I got in line until the time my drink was ready. They have a bunch of special offers for opening week. I am looking forward to triple points this Sunday (6/19/22). You can get a free drink for every 1000 points earned. Each purchase is worth 100 points, so you basically get a free drink after 10 purchases. The parking lot is a decent size. They are still doing construction on the shopping complex, so we'll see if parking becomes an issue once all of the businesses are open. They are located directly across the street from Starbucks which is pretty bold of them to do! Well played, Black Rock. Well. Played.

Yelp
Definitely a solid spot in the arsenal of Pearland's offerings. I've been here a few times since opening to let it sink in a bit. The drinks are good, nothing too memorable has crossed my path. I would best describe the decor as similar to a modern teahouse vibe. I LOVE that they have a garage door that they open when the weather is nice. I'm about the outdoors. Seating is good enough during the day, but beware when school is out, the students take it over. WiFi seemed solid, and the staff are always friendly. I'll definitely be back as our options are limited on my side of Pearland for coffee. Looking forward to seeing how some of their seasonals might change. Updates to come.

Yelp
I love that they have a drive thru window! I went inside for my drink to ask a million questions and really check out the menu. I love the inside area! A lot of space for people to come have coffee and chat. With this place being so close to the high school, I wonder how packed this place will be when school is in season. I ordered the Caramel Blondie, size large for about 6 bucks. The drink came with 4 shots. The drink wasn't that great, definitely not worth $6. The coffee beans just didn't do it for me. This is a cute place for people to hang out, just not drink coffee .

Yelp
Vibe- This is another cute and cozy coffee shop to come to study, work, or just hang out with friends over coffee! There's some seating outside and plenty inside. I love the colorful paintings on the wall and the light fixtures are so cute! Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I ordered a matcha latte on my very first visit and it was tasty. Parking- There's parking in the lot and also a drive thru too!

Yelp
I placed an order through the drive through the other morning. The coffee was a bit on the sweeter side. I think next time I'll try something along the lines of cold brew. The service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and professional. I didn't get a chance to go inside but I will the next time I go. I think maybe I just got the wrong item. I saw they serve local baked goods. So it's worth giving it another shot and updating my review.

Yelp
We had their grand opening on our calendar for a while, so we've been excited to try this. Showed up at around 11 and the place is packed, but they have the system down! The line moved quick and drinks came out about as fast. They were definitely prepared for the rush. Staff are super friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. The place is kind of trendy. Music is kind of loud for a coffeeshop, but maybe this is just for opening, which is fair enough. As for the drinks, we tried a few options - the mai thai fuel, the chai latte, and coconut mocha. None of them came out how we asked. All is forgiven as it's the first day and they are working through a lot of people, so it was pretty clear all the drinks were premade and they were just grabbing what was available. But it would have been really nice to be told we wouldn't be able to customize anything or told ... something. Instead, the fuel showed up with ice and real sugar instead of the opposite, the chai latte came frozen/blended instead of hot with almond milk, and the coconut mocha was just a normal mocha. Still, the drinks were pretty decent (just brace yourself for a big sugar hit) and I was happy with how smoothly things ran, but I hope they will have some opportunities to make their menu really shine by taking into account individual orders going forward.

Yelp
New coffee spot! They have a drive thru and it was very well organized. Lines were long but it went by pretty quick. Caramel Blondie with extra whip - delicious, needs to be blended more but still good. Could be because they were busy. Caramel Truffle extra caramel - normally I get extra caramel but beware it's pretty sweet so next time I will get it without the extra caramel. Overall it's good and more places to chose from for coffee. We will be back to try some more.

Yelp
The employees were so kind and patient as I tried to make up my mind with what I wanted. Everything sounded yummy and I couldn't decide if i wanted a cozy warm coffee or a chill iced drink for the 70+ degree morning. I ended up ordering a tasty almond croissant with a Mexican Mocha. I ordered a blueberry muffin and a hot caramel blonde for my husband. Both orders were tasty!! Next time I'll try an iced or blended drink!

Yelp
Nice staff and a pretty good cup o Joe! Enjoyed a sugar free Irish cream latte and a peppermint latte. Would go back.

Yelp
First time trying Black Rock and honestly it didn't leave a lasting impression. The inside is very nice and plenty of seating available inside and outside, but the coffee just didn't sway me. The decor is also a bit too noisy and there wasn't any of that cozy coffee house vibe. Tried the Caramel Blonde and it tasted just like Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato. Although it was good, it wasn't a unique specialty. The rest of menu looked pretty basic as well, although there is a wide selection. It's awesome that they have a drive thru and their own merchandise. However, this is very reminiscent of Starbucks. Nothing wrong with that because Black Rock is also a chain, but I personally prefer coffee with personality.
google avatar

Savannah K.

Yelp
Unfortunately I was unimpressed here. The drive thru option is nice especially for cold mornings but it won't be my go-to place. The taste, price and speed weren't much better than Starbucks. I interacted with 3 different employees and only one seemed to be fit for customer service which was disappointing.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Great spot! Perfect for working or just hanging out. Coffee is very good and there is a fun, colorful vibe. If you're coming for a quiet place for a conference call - not the place. Music and ambiance is moderately loud and fun.

Andrea W.

Yelp
The place is expensive but hygiene appears to be optional for baristas. I saw the single most disgusting things I've ever seen anywhere and that is one of the barista's used her mouth to remove a seal from a container containing maybe some liquid sweetener and none of her colleagues looked disgusted. This was normal behavior
google avatar

Yelp
Needed some morning coffee and stumbled upon this place. As an avid coffee drinker, I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place! We ordered a small, iced Mexican mocha and medium hazelnut latte; both drinks subbed for oat milk. Each drink was about $7 so definitely a little pricey; however, both drinks were so good! I'm talking smooth coffee, no bitter after taste, and perfectly added ingredients. You get what you pay for right? Skip the Starbucks line and come here....you'll become a regular just like I did :)

Yelp
The Caramel Blondie iced latte! My go to drink at BR. Fun atmosphere and sweet staff.

Yelp
Always fast and friendly service accompanied with a lot of seating and natural lighting for studying! My go to spot if I ever need good coffee and somewhere to go work for extended periods of time

Yelp
So freaking good. I love the caramel drinks! Not too sweet or not bland at all! Strongly recommend!

Yelp
Best coffee in Houston. The service is always on point. Caution around the pastries. I've been to several locations and the blended coffee is consistent.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally stopped by to give this place a try. I had one of the seasonal lattes. It was pretty good. Bonus, when the barista found out it was my birthday, she gave it to me on the house. Winning.
google avatar

Jade G.

Yelp
Coffee is good. Music way too loud. I think the speakers are in the back and workers can't hear from the kitchen and have it blasting so its so loud if you're sitting at the tables.

Monserrat Alice R.

Yelp
The area is spacious and the drinks are good. The staff was friendly to me, and Internet is fast. The only downfall of it it's that it is tooooo loud. I can even hear the music over my headphones. It doesn't give "cozy coffee vibes," however, it's a good place to study if you're okay w noise all around you, but the music is blaring for sure.
google avatar

Julia K.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber Eats the Mexican mocha for the first time. It was delicious and with oatmilk! Yummy!! I will be back!!
google avatar

Oscar C.

Yelp
Stopped by for their soft opening, lines were long but moved pretty quick and drinks were made fast. I got the Mexican Mocha I think that's the name but it was so gooood(9/10). Nice place inside, cool decor and pretty spacious !
google avatar

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this place out. Had a drip coffee. Also bought a big of the light roast (I love Ethiopian coffee) along with a few baked goods (they have dairy free/gluten free options which is a plus). The drip coffee was great. For a dark roast, it was still smooth and balanced. I enjoyed it without any flavoring or sugar. I haven't dried the light roast as of yet. We got the zucchini bread and a scone. My son loved the blueberry scone and the zucchini bread was tasty, not too sweet or rich. The place itself is also nice. Definitely wouldn't mind going back.

Ellie C.

Yelp
Enjoyed the quick service and great taste of coffee! So good! Haven't tried their pastries but will do one of these days! I wish they would offer points where we can get a free cup of coffee after buying 10 cups or something like that.
google avatar

Fernando P.

Yelp
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Drive thru available. The service was amazing, really took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. Coffees were a bit on the sweet side but being able to sit and have a conversation was nice. I had an iced caramel truffle. Coming back to try other drinks. Rewards program appears interesting with $1.50 coupon upon sign up for future visits and prices are pretty reasonable (paid $14 for 3 drinks).

Natalee M.

Yelp
Gave them another shot because everyone has off days. But I should've just went to Starbucks next door. They truly have the rudest female baristas & need to take some customer service lessons from Dutch Bros.

Kristin B.

Yelp
I liked the coffee but I found some of the attire worn by one of the young ladies at the drive thru offensive. Many of her shirts mentioned topics and terms which are often used by white nationalists which was worrisome and offensive to me. I assumed management saw her shirts and were ok with them so I decided to no longer support the company as a whole if they feel that this was an appropriate representation of their business.

Quang B.

Yelp
I go to all of the local Coffee and Tea Houses to casually work. The Black Rock Pearland is the emptiest. If their reduced hours is any sign, they should make some changes to increase business. Here are some of my recommendations: 1. It's too cold. The temperature feels it is in the 60 degrees. The huge ceiling fan just makes it colder. I noted the outside is popular while the inside is empty. Most professional businesses keep it in the lower 70s. Tone the fan down. 2. There are not enough plugs. If you want people to hang out in large groups, get more electric outlets. They will also stay longer and order more. 3. Too loud. It's by the high school but people aren't going to work in groups if you can't hear each other. 4. Internet is a little slower than competitors. None of the above are a deal breaker. I will continue to visit but I am concerned about the reduced hours and emptiness.

Jt R.

Yelp
I love the drinks and people they are really fast and outgoing. I've seen one girl work there the past 3 times she seems like a really hard worker.
