I stopped by Black Rock Coffee Bar and loved the vibe of the place. I tried the truffle-flavored drink, and it was so rich and unique—definitely worth trying if you’re into bold flavors. The staff was friendly, and the whole atmosphere was welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Most amazing coffee, tastes authentic and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Love the cold brew with Mexican mocha 😻. We need more unique coffee spots like this one.

Ordered coffees via delivery, they arrived with no store packaging, no seal, with open-top lids with large openings... These were given to a third party driver, then left outside. No barrier whatsoever and there are large openings for these lids right on top for drinking. Store does not even accept phone calls. Would have been fine if we could have just called and validated that they were out of seals or whatever, but, as is, we don't feel safe consuming it. For the prices that are charged here for simple coffee, they could pick up the phone.

Found this place and tried it based on the reviews. Order Caramel Blondie and wasn't disappointed. A bit sweet to my taste though so next time would ask for less sugar. The place is cozy and stylish inside. And on a day with nice weather, you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee!

Afternoon shift with Bella and Kendal was pleasant, efficient and quality service. First timer here! I ordered Hot Caramel Blondie coffee and it was surprisingly good. Like really, really good. My order was taken and in less than five minutes, I got my coffee. I was tempted to try croissant which looks really good but I've just eaten snack. Maybe next time. The store is clean, it looks nice and comfy. Service is good and fast. We'll try other items on the menu next time.

Very nice staff. But the drink was not made right, I asked for half sweet and it wasn't, and i asked for a London fog - what i got was tea with a splash of milk. They were trying to tell me that is how to make a drink and could make it over. But it would taste the same because that's how they make it... Since when is a latte made with water? I'm confused.

Excellent service, convenient location, lots of parking, good coffee, has drive-thru option , both indoor and outdoor seating - overall a good ambiance to hang out and relax. Came in today morning after an appointment, have to admit that it's a bit loud if you want to attend meetings inside, but not too bad. My mistake, I didn't bring my headphones ! Amazing friendly energetic staff in today morning shift , welcoming as you enter and taking customizations very seriously :) Ordered the Caramel Blondie and requested it to be less sweet based on other reviews, and it came out perfect! Even the croissants were delicious! Def visiting again!

Super friendly staff and super good drinks! I see why the caramel Blondie is a favorite. It's nice and sweet and is about to become my go to! They also have a good amount of seating inside, I can see this being a nice place to catch up with friends or to get some work done.

I got the iced vanilla late and my husband got their cold brew. I was a little worried because I was looking closely at the products they use and the drip of the espresso but turned out good! Would go again. Staff was kind and patient with my questions. Lots of seating and clean space.

Coffee and staff are great! Now the tacos, The tortillas are raw and gummy. The tortillas didn't even touch a stove before wrapped and sold. Expensive tacos that I didn't even get to enjoy. At least tell the customer they must go home and cook the tortillas

Great ambience and decorated seating area. We ordered mocha and it was good. Although my husband suspected that they used coffee machine instead of someone making it because it got ready in 2 mins plus it wasn't that hot. May ask for extra hot next time. Convenient location.

This is now my favorite coffee place in Austin! I heard great things and they all proved to be true! I came here with my bestie and we were big fans. I got the Caramel Blonde blended and she got the iced Mexican Mocha. Both drinks were delicious and perfectly made. I am going to bring my husband here next weekend. I found parking easily and did not need to wait long to order, there was only one person in front of us. The ambiance is hip and cool with a fun colorful vibe with awesome artwork inside. I walked up to order and told the barista it was my first time and they were very helpful! The service was very friendly and encouraging. I will definitely be a returning customer! Today was my second visit to this coffee bar and it didn't disappoint! Nelly, the cashier in the drive through was the best! Friendly, polite and professional. My husband loved his Irish coffee (Nelly's recommendation), my Mexican mocha was perfect and my kid's floral shaken green tea was delicious as well. I had forgotten about this place, right in the neighborhood! I hope to visit soon again!

The coffee is good and their pastries are excellent! Note: I just get hot Americanos plain but they have a variety of other options. The drive through line is quick and so is the inside service. A clean and organized establishment with both indoor and outdoor seating. The bathrooms are clean too. The staff is friendly and they give puppycino with a dog biscuit inside the whip cream for your dog at the drive thru window. All pluses for a very good coffee shop!

First time trying as I didn't want to pay a massive delivery fee through doordash. Coffee was sooooo good!! Please bring locations further down into Austin!!

Update: the point system now only requires a phone number, which is much more manageable. The coffee hasn't been burnt in many months. Love this place.

This was first time to this coffee shop and location. Overall, it's clean, new and shiny. The iced coffee didn't have enough ice in it, but the flavor packed a punch. I had the jackhammer. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good. Although the drive thru went fairly swiftly I was taken aback when handed a iPad to "sign here" for checking out? What?! Starbucks doesn't even want to take and touch my credit card with Covid paranoia... this place handed me their iPad because they asked for a TIP!!! A tip for handing me my purchase thorough a window?? Ummm---off putting. I wasn't in your store, making a mess at a table, etc. and the coffee was already close to $6! I'll go elsewhere for my coffee and "if" I feel compelled to "tip", than I'd expect "above and beyond" services, not tipping (or feeling pressured to) simply because I patron your venue. I noticed at least one other customer commented to this effect as well. So, something to consider as an owner or manager of a new establishment.

Staff is amazing, kind, and welcoming. I rarely enjoy going into shops and usually elect for the drive thru, but this Black Rock's employees are so awesome that I go inside 99% of the time (if I go through the drive-thru, it's because I have a dog) The store is clean and the seating is cozy. I get my morning coffee there before most days at work and it is consistently delicious. Some days the staff see me come in and have my coffee ready for me before I've even paid.

Very cool interior decor style. Staff were quick, kind, and helpful. Drinks were awesome. Met up with several friends who also play the "Munzee" game. We all liked it, and agreed we'd definitely be returning.

This coffee was very good. Got a flavored americano and blended latte. Both hit the spot with the right amount of sweetness. Staff was friendly and place was clean inside.

We love this place but please help your workers out and schedule more then one person in the afternoons. It takes 30 min to get a drink after 3.

My wife and I had huge expectations for this place and it was a big swing and a miss. The decor is really cool but the appeal stops there. We approached the front counter and waited for someone to acknowledge us, and waited, awkwardly. There were three employees, two preparing an order for the drive thru and one stocking shelves. None of them looked our way or greeted us. When someone finally did approach the counter to take our order she asked if we were reward members to which my wife said no. She didn't ask if we wanted to join or if it was our first time. I guess they don't care. My wife ordered their signature drink iced which she said was pretty weak and still warm. She said she can make better at home. We won't be back.

This is a bit of a drive for me but well worth it! I ordered a drink, thinking it was a spritzer or tea but ended up being a energy drink. At 7pm this was not what I wanted, yikes!!! Once I realized my mistake the awesome batista gladly changed it to an Italian cream soda! Yall, shut my mouth! Not only was it really good, she was understanding and glad to switch it out. If you are ever out off 620 in Round Rock stop by!

Consistent and amazing. Which is really all I request but they go above and beyond with a secret menu that is amazing not to mention their regular menu meets the needs but if it doesn't for you then check out the second.. I'm sure you will find what you like. I have every time

Excited to try this new little place! Meeting up some close friends and it's right by her house so we picked this coffee shop. It's a bit hidden. Google maps kept telling me to circle back out to 620. A bit frustrating. Hope they fix that. But once they told me it's between Firestone n Goodwill I knew to turn in there. I knew I was gonna get their matcha. That's usually my go to at all coffee shops. My friend paid for us and they got a matcha hot and iced and another person, an Americano. I always get blended but for sake of time got what they recommended, iced. I order mine with almond or soy but I think this time they heard my friend say coconut milk so I tasted that in my drink lol which is fine. Each drink of ours was near $5. The girl telling our order was super friendly. We got our drinks and sat down to talk. I love how cute n quaint this place is and that it's half outside with lots of outside patio seating. Perfect for Covid and social distancing. They are still masked up. We enjoyed our drinks and chatted for couple hours. Really enjoyed it. My matcha was ok. Not bad. Lightly sweet. Strong. Not the best I've had but good. Would love to come back and try their other stuff too.

I like the vibes of the coffee shop. Their service was a little slow and I was surprised because they weren't busy. I like the wifi and the outlets to plug in my charger. The coffee was ehh. Also they only sell taco deli tacos until 11 am which seems limited to me. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up but they could make some improvements.

Came here after lunch for coffee. Got the black out (hazel nut) blended coffee. The coffee was good. Just a bit tad sweeter than what I prefer. I saw a people inside studying/working, which I can see why. The place is nicely decorated.

They take allllll my money. I used to be a daily Starbucks girl but now I'm a daily Black Rock girl. Their cold brew hands down crushes Starbucks, no contest. Smooth, bold and creamy, I'm addicted. Other stand outs are the Iced Caramel Truffle coffee, Iced Caramel latte and the Starburst Fuel (energy drink). They have taco deli tacos and local pastries. I highly recommend a warm piece of the strawberry banana bread! Mmmmmmmmm Tip: Really well designed interior with cool work and collaboration spaces if you want to have a side of productivity with your joe.

Great coffee shop, great food, great staff, store has a "cool" vibe. However, today at the Round Rock location on 620, it was 91 degrees outside 62% humidity and the entire front of the store was wide open (the giant garage door). Sitting inside, especially drinking a hot beverage was quite miserable. While this might be appropriate most of the time in California, it's not in Austin. Muggy 91 degree day with no breeze and I am sweating through my shirt whilst sitting inside. No Bueno :(

I've been wanting to try Black Rock for a long time now. Finally got a chance to stop in today. Google maps was rerouting me the wrong way, just know that it is easily accessible by 620 and is right next to Dominos. First impressions walking in, coffee shop is very modern, trendy and clean. I felt like the person taking my order wasn't the most helpful as I was trying to decide what I wanted. I went ahead and ordered a medium Blackout and it was definitely good. Drink was a little sweet but not overly sweet. Coffee prices were around what I would expect for this kind of place. I will definitely be back in order to try their other drinks.

If your looking for espresso drinks or energy drinks stop here! They have the best lattes! My husband really likes their energy drinks. You can ask them to make energy drinks sugar free if you're watching your sugar intake. The staff is really sweet and will help you decide what to order if your unsure. They do have a drive through - super convenient! They even gave us a treat for our pup.

I really like this coffee place - what's not to like? Service is good, pastries are yummy, and coffee is excellent...check, check, and check! I personally like the Irish Coffee. The location is also pretty good - easy to get in and out of - with lots of good parking!

My favorite neighborhood coffee shop, sweetest staff every visit, and drinks are hard to beat! Nika is the sweetest and she draws cartoons on the cups sometimes and it totally makes my day! Love this shop 4ever!

I love Black Rock Coffee Bar! It's my go-to place for delicious coffee, smoothies, and energy drinks. Their coffee is freshly roasted and has a rich flavor and aroma.

Inconsistent service. Sometimes I get a full cup of coffee and other times its only 3/4 full. Sometimes they forget to add the vanilla for my vanilla latte. I like their coffee, but am tired of not getting what I ordered. Feel like their employees are not properly trained or monitored for great coffee service.

Everything about this place is delicious. We originally started frequenting this place when we lived in Oceanside, CA and I was over the moon when I found it has come to my hometown!! This place has delicious coffee, great service, they even have a drive-thru and reward program. My daughter's favorite is the warm chocolate, but the Italian soda and latte hit the spot today! The coffee is a bit sweet, which I don't mind, but if you prefer less sugar, you can adjust to half the sweetness to still enjoy this yummy drink!

This is the best run coffee in North Austin/Round Rock. Bar none. The coffee is super good and has a ton of caffeine. Their blended drinks are outstanding. Additionally the staff here is so quick and efficient that you literally will not wait in line or in the drive thru for a very long time. They are also very friendly. If you have a dog in the drive thru they proactively offer a pup cup. You don't have to ask. Lastly I will say that lobby is clean and super modern. It is a great place to do work, the music is really cool, and you can stay for hours just working in a comfortable environment. I highly recommend.

Black Rock is a franchise coffee concept that lands somewhere in the neighborhood of Starbucks/Summermoon but a notch below the "fifth wave" high-end local shops like Mi Mundo or Lamppost. I am a big fan of this shop because the employees are always very friendly and very fast. Tyson the dog says that they make a mean Puppaccino, and that the black rock one includes yummy treats. With fast service, good drinks, a convenient location, and really nice employees, this is a shop that is a worthy alternative to Starbucks.

I WANT to give this place 5 stars. The location is so great, and the coffee is good. The people that work here are really nice. BUT Unless YOU LIKE NEW COUNTRY MUSIC TORTURING YOUR EARS bring earplugs. It is so bad that it is distracting. I try to go here to do some work and the music makes me nuts. I prefer rap, rock, oldies, old real country music, anything but new country; it is an insult to my intelligence and ears. Sorry. But maybe try to put something on that is for everyone. I rarely complain on reviews, and I really hate to do so because this is my local happy place. You used to play a normal mix of music and now it is new country all day every day.

Sweetest staff EVER. Even after being away for 2 months- they remembered me and my order. Always smiling and making me feel super loved/welcomed. Although I moved further away, I still make the 30 min drive to see them every morning. Not only for the delicious coffee, but for the phenomenal staff

Hands. Down. My favorite flavor of espresso is theirs. Everyone who works there is always so so kind and also during covid times they've been fully masked up. I love their coffee rewards program too. Love love love black rock and will miss the coffee SO much when we move.

Placed an order on the app because the line was too long. Waited 20 minutes for the app to tell me the order was ready. Went into get order and was told nothing is made until you get in line and tell them you are there to pick up. 45 minutes for one drink. Will never be back.

Better than Summermoon, better than Perky Beans, better than any cup Starbucks could dream of. Friendly baristas, and probably the best latte you can get in the city, this place is the must for my mornings!

Staff is polite enough...Im sure the drinks are good... BUT THOSE DRINK CARRIERS!!! Basically all they sell is drinks but they use the one drink carrier on the planet that is guaranteed to spill your $8 coffees. They have had the same ones for months on end and they have had complaints about them for just as long. Staff apologizes for them every time, but that literally means less than nothing after the 6th or 7th time. Lets be real.

I like Mocha lattes and usually go to Starbucks. I decided to try Black Rock and now I am hooked! It is a wonderful flavored mocha latte and the lady at the window was so helpful and nice. She made other recommendations. I go back! I can't wait to try the chai tea and pastries.

Our closest non-Starbucks neighborhood coffee shop. Drive-thru is very convenient. Food is also consistently good, although a smaller selection than Starbucks. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Their coffees are handmade and delicious, and fairly priced. They have a frequent buyer club they track using your phone number, so you don't need to keep/remember a card. One word of warning though--they use espresso, not coffee, as the base of most of their drinks, and they don't skimp on it. I've found myself extremely caffeinated, much more so than from the exact same drink/size ordered from Starbucks. No extra shot needed here!
