Google
Absolutely the best bagels in town! Black Seed Bagels in Rockefeller Center is a real highlight. The bagels are fresh, perfectly baked and simply heavenly. The range of different toppings and flavors is huge, but every bite feels like a small culinary experience. I can particularly recommend the vegetarian bagel - a true masterpiece! The service is friendly and the location couldn't be better. Definitely a must for all bagel lovers. I will definitely be back!

Google
Black Seed Bagels is amazing. The first time I went, I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and it was so fresh and delicious. The bagel had the perfect chew and the cream cheese was super smooth. I had to go back and try something different so I got a plain bagel with hot honey cream cheese and pickles. It sounds wild but it was seriously so good. The sweet and spicy with the tangy pickles just worked. Everything I’ve had here has been awesome. Also, the workers are super nice! Definitely recommend.

Google
We had breakfast bagels here this week & mine (BLT), was excellent, the other 3 people in my party had plain bagels with butter & they were all burnt, just about edible & if we hadn’t already left the building I would have returned them and asked for replacements. Mine was good though!

Anna Norfolk

Google
Lovely bagels in a great spot. But you need to go down the stairs inside the building to find it (it's not as easy as some other cafes nearby!). But worth it. Clearly locals get their bagels here too

Google
I wish I could give them negative stars. It took 45 minutes for our bagels, and then the order was wrong. They are SO missed manged and getting everything wrong. Everyone was waiting, even the mobile orders that were told the order was ready. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Google
Took a bit too long to get my bagel sandwich but once I did, it was worth it! Lovely to enjoy while sitting in the plaza, people watching, and enjoy the morning.

Google
Small bagel shop on the basement level of Rockefeller Plaza. It was a little bit hard to find for me as a tourist :D It was my very first bagel ever, and I tried the Reuben turkey one. It was overall ok, a bit dry, but nice sauerkraut.

Google
Bagels from the basement of the Rockefeller Center, ordered in the store or online, then picked up around the corner - efficient concept. The bagel preparation itself is tasty, but could be more flavorful, the dough a little too dry. Still worth ist, when around.

Yelp
A staple must every time I come to NYC! I'm not from NY, and yes this might be a franchise, but it doesn't taste like it! Every time I've come to this Rockefeller location, I've been welcomed with open arms from the employees, delicious bagels (and sandwiches) and a feel unlike any other. So while this might not be the NY bagels of NY bagels for those who live here... they're insanely delicious to the point that I have to come here when I travel! Try it for yourself!

Yelp
This place sucks. Ordered a poppy seed bagel toasted with butter and jelly. I received cold slop! The guys in the kitchen don't wanna be there. Very nonchalant. Never coming back

Yelp
I've been in NYC for work since October. And I have yet to have a local bagel! What is wrong with me. That changed today. I had a toasted everything bagel with chunky veggie cream cheese. It was chewy and flavorful and the cream cheese was delicious. Coffee was really good too. Service was quick and friendly. The store is on the lower level of the Rock and although small was clean and modern. If I had to wait for a bagel, this was a good first effort!

Yelp
Love their bagels!!!! Best of all you don't have to be in a long line to get these! Also has a place to sit and eat! Tried their cinnamon raison bagel with scallion cheese which was awesome. Right next to N/R station for 28th street. MUST try!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this! I tried the lox bagel, and got it delivered so I can't speak to the service or venue. The bagel itself could have used a bit more cream cheese but the flavor and texture of the bagel were great!
google avatar

Sabrina V.

Yelp
We ate here 3 times during our nyc trip and loved it every time! Gluten free bagels were a hit! Our fave was the ham, egg, & cheese. Love that they use pasture raised eggs as well!
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Decent bagels, tasted good but not anything spectacular that you couldn't find somewhere else. Not long wait early in morning.
google avatar

Grace S.

Yelp
I was a little nervous about ordering from a place inside Rockefeller but was very impressed with the service and convenience I experienced. The wait (both to order and pick up) was less than 20 minutes and everyone was incredibly friendly. I ordered the Plain Jane egg and cheese sandwich on a salt bagel and was very happy with how it turned out. I feel as though a lot of times with egg sandwiches, the egg can be a bit rubbery and dry but these eggs were PERFECT! The bagel was a bit better than average but, paired with the egg, was terrific. Definitely a place I recommend if you are in a pinch for time!

Yelp
I have come here two times. Both were because I was very very hungry at the time I passed by it. I have to remember not to come back though. These bagels are not good NY bagels. They are small and mine was a bit hard. I came at lunch time and they had very few bagels left. I got a salt bagel not toasted with regular scallion cream cheese. What a mistake. Soo not tasteful and hard as I said before. The Bagel shop itself can fit like 4-6 people at a time and though the line moves kind of fast you still have to wait for your stuff at the pick up window area which is around the corner from the shop. The lady who took my order was nice at least though. Ambiance is extremely small bagel shop but smells wonderful like bagels and all that comes with being in a bagel shop.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried many bagels while in New York and this one was ideally located near attractions we were visiting. This location was really small and busy so be ready to wait which is the normal at all the bagel spots. The bagels were just ok. We got 3 different bagels, everything with cream cheese, plain with cream cheese and plain with butter. They were just ok. We liked Essa bagel a lot better. The majority of the 3 stars is the service. They were snappy and not friendly felt like we were inconveniencing them for ordering. Prob won't try again.

Yelp
Yummy yummy in my tummy!!!!! There was little to no wait and it's a nice place to go right off the train

Yelp
While the line for Black Seed Bagel tucked away on the bottom floor of the Rockerfeller Center might be long and bustling -- don't be fooled, these are not good bagels. I've on the search to try almost all the bagels in the NYC midtown area and I ventured to black seed for breakfast and was very much disappointed both the prices and the quality of their bagels. I ordered a lox sandwich on an everything bagel and the bagel was so dense, not plush, and underwhelming. The price of my lox bagel sandwich was $17. Not worth the wait or the price.
google avatar

Andrea F.

Yelp
Do not go here if you are in a hurry. Took forever just to get a bagel and it was any even crowded. Ordered a bagel with lox. Couldn't even find the lox. It was somehow in the cream cheese. Don't waste your time here, go to a real bagel sho

Yelp
Long wait and kind of overpriced but delicious bagel. It's good for a quick work lunch.

Yelp
This is in the Rockefeller center and an already fun stop. There are so many different shops to check out, but hearing all about how nyc bagels are a must we decided to stop. There was a good variety among offers and different kinds of bagels. We liked both sandwiches and thought the bagels were good. My group and I agreed that there was an excellent amount of filled and the sandwiches were nice and toasty. The bagels themselves tasted fresh, but nothing life changing. I think that in a city full of food options, I will be trying a different breakfast place next time!

Christopher V.

Yelp
Ordering in advance is the best way in Rockefeller! Pepperoni pizza was delicious and smoked salmon. Service was also quick give them my name and handed my order right away.
google avatar

Sandy V.

Yelp
Went to the Rockefeller location. Busy as it was breakfast but the wait wasn't too bad. Ordered the salmon classic. The bagel was a little hard and could do more cream cheese but the taste of the smoked salmon was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for a quick breakfast when we were in the area, I stopped into the small Black Seed Bagels at Rockefeller Center. Although the space is small, the space is well designed and makes it easy to wait in line and read the menu. I ordered the Boca on an Everything Bagel and a bottle of water. Once ordering, there is another line outside the shop to wait for your order. On a weekend morning, I waited about 10 minutes to receive my bagel. The bagel was delicious - soft and full of flavor. The tomato and avocado were fresh, and the egg was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back on my next trip!
google avatar

Yelp
Not going to give this review the energy the staff didn't give me for the easiest of orders. The blunder was avoidable.

Yelp
April 6, 2023-I bought a toasted sesame bagel with TOFU VEGGIE cream cheese. It was very good. I took it outside to sit and enjoy by the Rockefeller Center Flags exhibit. The Food-Restaurant ART FLAGS are on exhibit. There are metal chairs and tables on the north and south side of the skating rink/flag area. Quite pleasant. BLACK SEED BAGEL IS LOCATED INSIDE ROCKEFELLER CENTER ON THE LOWER CONCOURSE. You can take an escalator or the stairs. ASK A GUARD IF YOU NEED AN ELEVATOR. The Black Seed Bagel place is small, as in tiny, like a nice jewel box. I'm posting photos of the menu-prices are reasonable to be sure, considering this is NYC, and also a popular location for visitors. PLACE YOUR ORDER, pay, leave a tip in the tip jar, and exit to go around the corner in the hallway, to the PICK-UP WINDOW. -GIVE YOUR TICKET TO THE PERSON WHO CALLED YOUR NUMBER. So, keep your tix handy so that you are ready when your number is called. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE. THEY ARE WORKING HARD, DOING A GREAT JOB, IN A TINY SPACE. So, APPLAUSE FOR ALL THE WORKERS HERE!!!! They take the time to ask you questions, to CONFIRM YOUR ORDER, TO HELP PREVENT MISTAKES!! WELL DONE!!! Don't be put-off by a crowd at the pick up window, because the orders come out fairly quickly considering the orders can be beyond simple orders. As the visitors from Maryland I was chatting with said, "the orders can be quite involved". Right you are!! So, THANK YOU TO ALL THE NICE, CARING WORKERS TODAY!!! At BLACK SEED BAGEL. See my photos.

Yelp
I worked in 30 Rock for a number of years and always passed by this place, so on a recent trip decided to give it a shot. I ordered the classic salmon bagel. They were out or everything bagels so I went with plain. It was just meh. Not terrible, definitely not as wonderful as ess a bagel (my favorite place), just 'fine.' $15 isn't ok for fine, so I'll probably keep walking next time I pass by.
google avatar

Rosa F.

Yelp
I just got the everything bagel with cream cheese First of all when I opened it I thought they gave me plain by mistake because there is literally a whole lot of nothing of the everything Next the cream cheese was either spoiled or goat cheese cream cheese It was disgusting!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little location down in Rockefeller Plaza. Was happy to grab a coffee and bagel here to wait in line for FAO Schwartz upstairs. There are better options in the city, but I would come here again.

Chelsey D.

Yelp
We placed a mobile order about an hour and half prior to when we wanted to pick up. When we arrived, we checked in with the pick up staff and they acknowledged our 0830 pick up time. I was standing in front of the staff close to the wall, and to make sure they did not forget I was there. Our group waited patiently for about an hour, because they are obviously very busy, and when our group when to check in, they had our order on a shelf to which they never called our order. Our coffees were not ready, and didn't have our cold drinks ready either. Staff was very rude and didn't believe that we didn't get our order. We ended up walking away without one of our drinks because we were going to miss our event. Although the food was delicious, the service was terrible.
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
Black Seed Bagels is a little tricky to find (maybe it was just me) at the bottom of Rockefeller Plaza, but I guess it was pretty cool having to walk around and look around the building. For the food, I thought the bagels were decent quality - on par with other bagels you could get in the city. Bumping up what would be 3.5/5 to 4 because of the helpful and friendly service.
google avatar

Jess B.

Yelp
Got The Plain Jane, 2 eggs and cheese on toasted American. It was just okay. Felt like it could use some salt. Probably would choose another bagel place next time but it wasn't bad just not as great as other places.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
The bagel was amazing! Got the bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel. The staff were so nice and got to know their customers. The shop was small but clean and nice.
google avatar

Suzanne H.

Yelp
Service was quick bagels were average. You ordered on one side then went out in the hall to the pick up window. Bagels were dry and not much cream cheese.
google avatar

Eve Q.

Yelp
Was craving for lox and cc. Ordered the Salmon classic bagel sandwich and it definitely hit the spot. The online ordering is easy and very convenient especially at their pick up window. There's no dining there, place is tiny but it's great to just pick up and go.
google avatar

Yelp
When I was with my family in NYC, I forced them to try the infamous wood-fired bagels from @blackseedbagels. The location was convenient, right in the Rockefeller Center. I got the Salmon Classic (salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onions) on a plain bagel. My family got 1) everything bagel with cream cheese, 2) bacon, egg and cheese on an everything 3) sesame bagel with butter. The bagels were warm and pillowy. Texture was dough-y and a little tough to chew. It might have been because it sat a little before we ate them, we didn't eat them immediately.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews, but I had to take the time to rate the poor experience we had here. I had way higher expectations for a New York bagel place. Rude customer service taking our order. Went for breakfast after our fabulous Today show experience and this place put a damper on that joy. I ordered the BOCA and my daughter ordered The Bec. Bagels were hard and thin, not soft and chewy. Taste was just ok. Was missing something. I've tasted way better bagels in L.A. The only plus of this place is they use Vital Farms pasture raised eggs. That's it!
google avatar

Lisa V.

Yelp
Great bagel Place and the coffee was out of bounds!!! I would definitely recommend this place if you're in NYC
google avatar

Cj V.

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast sandwich! I got a turkey egg and cheese on an everything. The person taking my order was very friendly. The egg cheese and turkey were good, bagel is the only thing holding me back from 5 stars. Definitely not the best bagel I've had though.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Extremely mid. Cream cheese taste expired. I ordered 2 iced coffees and the employee was about to serve me this cup of syrup with no issue. You can see the inconsistency of both drinks. I wouldn't go there again unless I wanted diabetes
google avatar

Samuel O.

Yelp
Good place for a quick bagel. They offer a variety of bagels and you can customize it to get a full on breakfast bagel. Shop is a bit small, so if you're getting more than just a toasted bagel with a cream cheese, it may take a bit longer to get anything. I believe they offer gluten free bagels, so plus points to them for catering. Well designed. People walk in to order. Then wait outside by the pickup window. The kitchen is visible, and it's very small. If you're behind 5 people, you could be waiting for 30 minutes to have them make your bagel.

Jordan F.

Yelp
2 dollars extra for avocado and this is what I got. Would not recommend this place when there are so many better places to go in the area. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
My review is slightly biased because I ordered a pumpernickel bagel for the first time in my life. Never have I tried pumpernickel. It should have stayed that way hahaha. I learned I am not a pumpernickel fan. However the cream cheese ration was perfection! Also I got a bit of my sisters veggie bagel and it was amazing! So maybe just don't order pumpernickel unless you like it! haha.
google avatar

Joeblow L.

Yelp
Here from out of town, wanted to try a different place from Essa which we usually go to. Black Seed was closer in the Rockefeller plaza, but a great find! Service was quick and easy, the people were nice despite a little line. We had the sesame and everything and they did not disappoint. Chewy, crusty, lotsa cream cheese made for a very satisfying breakfast on the go. Coffee was good, too, nice and hot but not scalding when you take that first sip. Nice on a wet overcast Sunday morning after coming in on a red eye. Love your bagels, a little hard to find but we'll worth the effort!
google avatar

Howard D.

Yelp
Consistent line up throughout the day; though wait time is totally reasonable for the quality and price. Ordered a ham cheese egg breakfast bagel (on sesame) and a salmon classic (on everything). Both excellent but the latter's salmon and cream cheese combo was heavenly. I've never been a huge bagel fan and the ones I've had in NYC hadn't won me never but this one might make me change my mind.

Megan M.

Yelp
Bagels are meh. Takes awhile. The egg in the bagel is good. Not greasy. Not too much cream cheese which I liked. Also had blt bagel. Just meh too. But the workers were nice and hustled.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
Got the cinnamon raisin bagel at 8:00am it was kind of hard which was surprising being so early in the morning. They must keep them next to the everything bagels because that's what my cinnamon raisin bagel tasted like. A mix between everything and cinnamon raisin bagel. I ate it but would not try this place again. On the hunt for a true NYC bagel
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
The service was quick on a Friday @ 9am. The staff was not so friendly but efficient. If you are visiting NY please do not disgrace yourself by filling your stomach with a bagel from here. Probably one of the worst bagels I've had in the city--it is hard/tough, dry, and expensive ($1.90/bagel, 2.20 w/ tax, NO cream cheese add $3). I corroborated with coworkers who agreed that Black Seed bagels are not good bagels.

Daria B.

Yelp
Great selection of bagels, fast service. I tried poppy seed bagel with hot honey cream cheese. It had a good amount of heat, but not too much. Tasted great overall.
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
love it! Great bagel and customer service. Will definitely go again! I enjoyed my bacon egg and cheese at 1 PM.

Mrjanzen57’s notification s.

Yelp
It was fresh and right on time! Customer service great! No ambiance as it is a very teeny location.

Blue B.

Yelp
Busy with tourists. Bagels were average and the cream cheese was chalky. I'm unsure what they add to it when they whip it to make it pasty and chalky, but I would not recommend this place.
google avatar

Napoleon F.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Best bagel I've had in many many years! The lox dill cream cheese is amazing!
google avatar

Fabianna M.

Yelp
Delicious Boca! A friend recommended me the spot and I ordered Boca (fried egg, avocado, cheese and tomatoes). The service was friendly and rapid despite the morning rush (8:45am). The ambiance is a to-go spot. There is not place to seat. However, you can find where to seat nearby.

Yelp
Here's what you need to know: Food was fine. Nothing bad about it but unmemorable. Wait was long. Service was pleasant enough - it's NYC :) this restaurant is located in the basement of 30 Rock! I ordered the pastrami egg sandwich on an everything bagel. It was about $12 and it took about 15 minutes for me to get the food at the take out window on the side of the restaurant and another 15 minutes to order. The bagel was dense but the pastrami was tasty but a little scarce and kind of got lost. I washed it down with a chicory based New Orleans iced coffee from blue bottle next door which was fun to do.
