We are thrilled with our decision to hire Mel and the team at Black Sheep to cater our 75-person wedding. The entire process - from the first call down to the last bite - was exceptional. Mel was extremely flexible, worked within our budget, and made us feel taken care of the entire time. The food was absolutely outstanding! We received countless compliments from our guests about everything from cocktail hour to the main course. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were generous. The team also performed extremely well under weather challenges (the day featured torrential rain and wind). Highly, highly recommend Black Sheep for your next event!

Beautiful, thoughtfully setup market!

We were so thankful to have Black Sheep as our wedding caterer for a ~150 person wedding with a tented dinner reception. We were so impressed by Mel and her staff and they were a key part in making our wedding day a success. Their service was very professional and the food was so delicious - we received so many positive comments on it, especially for the salmon and short ribs! The passed apps were really tasty too. We would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

Black Sheep catered our 75-person wedding, and were fantastic to work with. Our guests keep talking about how good the food was. Mel and her team were so organized and on top of everything throughout the planning and the big day. They made sure my husband and I got our food first, kept checking if we needed anything, and made the whole thing seamless. They even went the extra mile to make sure my gluten and dairy intolerant husband had apps and dinner he could eat. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I love everything about this shop ! The food is delicious and consistently good but also creative with new specials every day and the desserts are out of this world ! The store is beautiful with lots of reasonably priced merchandise and best of all is the amazing staff that is always so helpful and makes you feel so welcome.

They have a nice selection of large individually wrapped cookies that sell for just under $4 per cookie. Although they might look attractive, they are among the worst tasting cookies that I've ever had; we actually took a couple bites and had to throw them in the trash! Not sure about the other baked goods. Felt a little ripped off with the cookies. Maybe they need to add some flavor to them.

We wanted to intermix New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Italian fare and the team brought their own ideas to knock it out of the park. We had many people say it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. There were many highlights but some that especially stood out were the raw bar, grazing table, and ensuring our vegetarian guest felt taken care of. Mel and her team also made sure we actually got to eat the apps and entrees at our wedding which was one of our favorite parts of the day! We could not say enough great things about their customer service, creativity, and execution.

The best chicken salad ever!!!! I love this place, the staff are the best!!!!!

We bought our lunch at the Black Sheep today and absolutely loved the food! One of us had the chicken and grilled cheese sandwich and the other had the cracker bread salad. The sandwich was large and very juicy, enough for 2 people. The cracker bread salad was truly unique and really delicious, with grilled grapes, goat cheese, tomatoes and pecans. The dressing was an amazing creamy raspberry concoction that perfectly complemented the salad. We sat outside at a picnic table and savored our wonderful lunch. Definitely going back!

Absolutely Adorable Shoppe! When you enter, you'll see some lovely hostess gifts like ceramic serving items and linens. There is a high-end deli counter. The gourmet cheeses looked wonderful. All the items looked delicious for a great picnic! I purchased a Chequesette Chocolate Almond and Cherry Bar. OMG, delicious!!!!!! Other flavors are available too. In addition, I bought a Lemon Alive Ice Pop $8.50 (what the hey, I'm on vacation). It had every healthy ingredient imaginable- Coconut Milk, Turmeric, Cashews, Lemon Juice, Honey.... Other flavors are available too. Outdoor seating is available. Definitely have to return on my next trip to Martha's Vineyard!

One of the hidden treasures on MV. Small, lovely gift shop, prepared food, a few groceries. If you don't want to deal with crowds at Edgartown Fish market or the grocery stores, and you want to fill a bag before you head to the beach or stock up for cocktail hour, this is the place for you. Lovely selection of Italian cheeses, make sure to get the prepared shrimp with lemon aïoli and the buffalo dip, always a nice selection of small gifts. The plaza also has MV fish market and a liquor store. Most afternoons, we grab a few things from Black Sheep, get something for the grill or oysters from the Fish House, and make sure we are stocked with a little bit of bubbly. Easy parking, nice people.

Our first visit. We were told their cheese blend dips were amazing. They also had nice pantry shelf items such as the hot sauce with truffle oil that I bought (made in Huntington Beach, Cali!) Wanted to order a sandwich but they were out of their smoked bluefish spread for their unique BLT with it. Next time. Some pretty appetizer tray dishes and linens. All a bit pricey--not surprising. Still, a pleasant shop for a culinary splurge.

Above beyond friendly staff. Very helpful and good stuff. However very pricey but a nice visit on a rainy day.

This is the sister store of Black Sheep in Edgartown which is well known for their upscale deli and prepared foods as well as unique pantry goods and quality merchandise. I've only been here quickly and haven't had the time to linger, but this location seems to be more geared towards "fancy picnic goods" than anything else. They have delightfully whimsical home decor all over that's mixed with pantry goods and delicious snack options. I call it "fancy picnic" because I could see myself bringing most of the items in there on an upscale picnic! I'm a big fan of their tuna salad, which, like many food options there, is served in to go containers by the pound. It's just different enough to be the best tuna salad on island so far. I also love Love LOVE those Iberico ham flavored chips they've got - truly delicious! Also - try the brownies and the dark chocolate filled cookies. Yummy is an understatement. Overall this is a lovely addition to a busy airport park which is in desperate need of some quality food options. I, for one, am happy they're here! Just bring your wallet, it's not the cheapest eats on the island! Edit: this place is still awesome. I have truly never had a bad experience here and I come for lunch a lot.

So grateful for Black Sheep being in the West Tisbury/Edgartown border. It's my go-to place. Amazing raspberry cookies. Lovely cakes, scones, sandwiches. Everything is of the highest quality. The one thing I wish they would have more regularly is pizza. But other than that - everything is fantastic. Love this place.

Hi I had ribs and chicken and potato salad and egg salad and sesame noodle. Was not impressed everything tasted potato salad to vinegar and it tasted like going bad the ribs where very dry as well as the chicken I had Spent 120 worth of food was hoping for fresh sandwiches like take out but the only ones where made where in cooler never going to go back

This place is exactly what I was looking for. Take-home food that is restaurant quality but without the restaurant prices. Probably the best hummus I've ever eaten!

The friendliest people ever! Absolutely delicious baked items - try the shortbread cookies. Special shout-out to Mark for his warm welcome and help!

Great little shop. Easy when you've forgotten a basic item at the grocery store or when you need a gourmet item to make a meal special. They have a selection of beautiful kitchen items. They have wonderful cheeses and hams, including a very good quality Serrano ham (I've never been able to find that on the island before). I haven't had the lasagna or their blueberry peach cake this summer, but when I did last summer, they were both excellent. They also carry Jamón Ibérico potato chips (Torres), so good! Just a great addition to the MV food scene.

OMG! This place has been a godsend! delicious and creative food , lots of options, fun home goods and a friendly staff . ( and did I mention parking ) You can't go wrong here there is literally something for everyone. PS you have to try the raspberry shortbread cookies!
